We were quite pleasantly surprised by the spacious and clean room. Our room had a bedroom and a common space with a king bed. It was so nice. The bathroom was a bit small and there was a strong odor from the carpet cleaner they had just used. But if you want to take a trip to Jersey or NYC stay here. It is also close to the PATH train but it's a bit sketchy at night. Also the parking lot near the hotel fills up fast but just get there early.

I really enjoyed my stay here. All of the staff even housekeeping was helpful and friendly. The king suite I stayed in was a bit dated, but still very spacious. The free breakfast was nice a good selection of different food. I wish they had a few meat selections. I booked this hotel to travel to New York for the weekend since it is too expensive to stay around Time Square. The fact this hotel is within walking distance to the PATH (subway) was very convenient. Also there are a bunch of food places and shops close by the hotel too. Is this the nicest hotel I've stayed in? No it isn't but I gave them 5 stars based off the excellent customer service, great location, and my room was very clean and spacious. If I ever decided to do a trip to New York again I will definitely be staying in Jersey City at this hotel. The only downside was there's no on site parking, so we had to park at Park@Sqaure Ramp $17 a day. Which isn't bad compared to other parking garages prices especially in New York.

I would definitely stay here again. Comfortable stay. The room had a lot of space, microwave, refrigerator and wet bar. I stayed in room 508 which was close to elevator 2 that goes directly to LL for complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was reasonable. It had egg, cheese combinations and egg sausage and cheese packages. They had french toast and pancakes as well as cereal. The negative would be the small and slow elevators. The TV channels did not work. The TV did come on but the channels did not work.

Reviewers, if you are looking for an inexpensive hotel with excellent customer service to include a complimentary fresh breakfast this is the hotel. No, it's not your upscale hotel! However, you get your money's worth and it's decent! If you choose to stay here at the Ramada Inn in Jersey City and complain, then I recommend you stay in Manhattan and pay $500 and up a night! Rooms filled with cockroaches and ants! Awful staff that lack skills to work in a hotel, very rude. The hotel is old and rundown, plus rooms are the same too. The airport shuttle is extremely unreliable, I waited 2hours at the airport for it, and both driver and hotel reception lying to me, telling me wait another 15min for shuttle and after waiting for 15min, I call them and they say another 15min, at the end they blame it on the traffic, which only took us 30min, not 2hour. Exposed wires in the rooms and lobby. Dirty towels and bed bedding. The walls are very thin that you can hear people in next room, same as if they were in same room. Street noice is very noticeable, I had to wear my noise cancellation headphones to sleep. Save your bucks and find somewhere else. Don’t believe anything you read in reviews here, most are paid for by the hotel. No way on earth, this hotel is even 1 star and I wish someone was honest enough to tell me.

This hotel has stayed many times.
It is quite appropriate. Unfortunately, it's been in the years. All a bit accustomed, Before the hotel the garbage has accumulated.
In the whole, somewhat disappointing.

The staff was nice. It smelled weird. And the room was too hot. The breakfast was good. The room was nice and Big. Convenient location. Nice fitness area.

Nice decent hotel in Jersey city. Good for the price you pay. If you planning to stay in a mid class hotel and visit New York city this is really a place to stay. Path train station for trains to NYC at walking distance. 5 mins walk to Indian street for your lunch and dinner needs.

Great hotel for the price we had for 4 people. Conveniently located close to the path trains, the train station is 5 minutes walk away, you are in New York 33rd Avenue without stress in 20-25 minutes. Simple but decent lunch!

This hotel keep on going up on their prices to stay in their room. This weekend wanted to pay for 2 nights to stay in their room. The front desk clerk she told me they went up on their prices to stay in their rooms it going to cost me $147.00 plus tax per night total to stay for 2 nights $300.00. She forgot to check room 118 was clean which it wasn't clean then I have to wait in the lobby until the room was clean. Then she put me in another room 207 on the 2nd floor. How this hotel going charge me $300.00 to stay 2 nights my room wasnt ready. Thats bad service. I been coming here 3 times a week for 3 months. I been loyal and good paying customer. Sadly to say this my last week coming here. This hotel getting to expensive with their prices to stay here. They lost a good customer. I have to find another hotel with decent prices. 3 months ago this hotel use to charge $111.00 plus tax a night, Now they charging me $147.00 plus tax a night. This hotel getting too expensive to stay here.

Do you suppose I could get some towels? I said this daily in our 5 day stay. Day 2, I was told I had to wait one hour. I don't get it. No Parking. While the hotel is clean enough, the grounds are litter-filled. I won't stay here again.

Welcoming, clean, comfortable. Good breakfast and reasonable price. Be prepared to park a couple of blocks away. We enjoyed our 2 night stay and will book here again.

Cozy place in a very busy part of town, but I got a great night's worth of rest! The breakfast was kinda continental. Very good all the way around. The night and morning desk guys that I dealt with were very knowledgeable and helpful during my short visit. I'm not sure how great the pricing is since my company picked up that part, but what I experienced overall was pleasant and peaceful.

Myself and a guest arrived late at night to book a room. The staff was helpful in securing a room for an extended stay. The experience was not bad but not something to fall in love with; just satisfactory.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They do everything. Possible for one to feel comfortable. But the facilities are already deteriorated and not ayayud to a good stay.

A true gem of a place. The entire place is spotless, super clean. The front desk personnel are of course professional and pleasant but the entire staff is the same way. From the cleaners to the breakfast personnel everyone is wonderful. The location is great. We were there 8 days and for 4 of them the car stayed parked. It's close to journal square which has a lot of shops and restaurants but also the subway station. The price is super affordable for the area. You pretty much have to stay in another town to get a better rate Next time were in town this will be our go to place. The Ramada Inn abs staff really made the get-away great. Thank you.

Nice Hotel and cheap. The breakfast is great for the price of the hotel. Well connected to Manhattan although it takes about 20 to get to the 33.

Good overall experience, rooms are good for the price and are spacious. Breakfast is included and has a good variety of items to grab for a quick bite. Only drawback is the $17.00 per day offsite parking.

Hotel is fine in principle, the staff were very friendly. Zimmer, however, was very old and shabby. Since everyone was (really all) leaking, it was very cold … for that the duvet was very thin. Breakfast was a standard breakfast, but absolutely ok. Big downside: No parking at the hotel. All in all for one to two nights in order, more nights I wouldn't book there.

Love the rooms, love the staff especially Kattiana and Miguel one of the most friendly people I've met. Basically made my stay much more enjoyable… Its on close proximity with New York and the clubs around Jersey city. The train station is around the corner… You've gotta stay here when in Jersey City!

Friendly staffs. Our room is huge. There is a kitchenette in our room. Accessible for wheelchair and baby stroller. It is a good place to stay for our money.

Rooms and bathrooms were clean. Front desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was actually a lot better than what I was expecting: eggs, hot egg and meat sandwiches, danishes and bagels galore. The only downfall is that you have to pay for parking at the local garage at $20 a day. But such is the price for city "living".

Our room was clean, quiet and well maintained. Plenty of room in the room. Breakfast buffet ok; There is yogurt, fruit, various types of jam, string cheese, egg dishes, various juices to choose from and coffee. Coffee is available throughout the day in a room next to the reception. Cool drinks can be purchased at the reception. Staff friendly and helpful. Installation overall in good condition; A solid hotel. Of course, you can't expect a luxury hotel for the money (almost) located in New York. Overall, the hotel offers very good value for money. One is in Manhattan's central locations within minutes via the nearby subway station.

Wow! Perfect place, centrally located. Lots of paid parking garages near by. The morning breakfast offered here is by far the best that I have seen amongst other places that I have stayed so far in the last 20 years of what I remember. Staffs are super friendly. Best value for all the little money that you pay!

Paid parking, slow elevators that make you think you'll never reach your floor or get stuck between floors. Basically it's just the essentials and nothing more. The bed was comfy but that's about it. The closet door didn't open all the way either.

It was a nice hotel for the area it was in. And a good walking distance from the train station. The man at the front desk was very nice. The rooms were great.

The rooms were neat and tidy. It took a while for them to get the rooms ready after we arrived. Had to wait for close to 2 hours even though the room was all paid for by the company. The location is very good and close to hotels and public transport.

This hotel is really only for 1 night to pass through. Rooms very old and uncomfortable. Relatively well and quickly located to the S Bahn to NewYork City.

Good location considering how close it is to NYC. The room as well as the bathroom was large and clean. The price was reasonable but the evening front desk staff didn't really seem to know everything and were a little slow (5-10+ minutes to assist a person buy a soda and candy). There is no parking at the hotel and it was really hard to figure out where to park temporarily so that we could check in (small sidewalk to the left of the front door). Overall, it was satisfactory.

Very old building. Dated appliances. Feels as if the building will collapse any moment. Staff is friendly and helpful. All bathrooms very dingy and rust is seen on all metal parts. No exhaust in showers. I will not recommend it even if it means staying closer to Manhattan. Lots of other choices available for a good price. This is definitely not one of them.

Rooms are a bit dated like the decor and furniture. It could use some modernizing. The staff is nice and helpful.

Good clean motel. Parking is a big problem and also entering and leaving property if driving. They have pick-up vans but does not know the cost. Rooms ok and breakfast area too congested for size of motel.

Stayed at this hotel on 3/9/2016. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the room and the service I received! The beds were comfortable, it fit 4 of us comfortably (two children and two adults). Free breakfast in the morning and a wonderful front desk atmosphere. Will definitely stay again!

Good room even though it is a very old hotel. The Wi-Fi speed is really less. It is less that 1 Mbps most of the times.

If you like the tropics, will love a night in winter at the Ramada! The heating is probably centrally controlled and fires at night noisily like crazy. The staff is different from person to person. From zombie professional everything is. We personally had at the check-in to do that rather 3 times was on the phone to give us our room cards with a zombie. The breakfast is nothing special in order, starving it wouldn't but. Fruit particles, muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, egg is about. The coffee is good, only the pancakes and French toast taste like anything! The beds are comfortable, unfortunately, the background noise of boiler and refrigerator can be often awaken one from sleep :/ oropax take in any case! There is air conditioning, aver difficult to regulate. The situation is unfortunately rather a criminal district. Sirens can be heard almost always. The connection is fine. With the path you arrive well in Manhattan.
As a whole it is enough to the sleep, but those traveling by car, should not on reservation is inclusive-Park leave! This applies only to long-term guests — for everyone else there's a parking lot which charges a day fee of $16 nearby.

Room is OK and clean, bed comfortable, but the bathroom is very small and the breakfast has fallen through. Only the price is "interesting", but the area around the hotel is very shabby and you need train with the PATH a half an hour to Manhattan…

Good for American relations, all relatively clean, very friendly staff. Only criticism is the "area", here you feel not so good, especially when it gets dark.

Worst experience ever. Heaters were not working. After talking to staff for hour and trying different foolish way finally staff asked me to move to other room with no heater working. Finally they gave me portable heater which was making noise… strongly suggest not to stay here.

Staff seems to be very friendly and helpful. Hotel is in desperate need of renovation. Had a really hard time sleeping due to what sounded like water pipes. Very few TV stations. There is Wi-Fi but very poor connection. There are no vending machines, however they do sell some snacks. You will over pay by at least 3-4 dollars. Very limited selection. Continental breakfast wasn't very good.

Horrible service. They didn't have the room type, that we had booked a month ago, available. Had us moving between rooms for the three days that we were here. They have free breakfast though and there were many restaurants near by for dinner.

Clean room, small "kitchenette", there was a fridge and a microwave. The air conditioning was also fully functional and has cooled the room properly down. The surrounding area is not so nice, however, the Path very quickly in Manhattan. The hotel staff was always friendly. The elevators are a little slow. The Breakfast had Pastries, a good selection (Toast, Bagel, Toastis, croissants, a variety of Sweet, jam, honey, cream cheese, French toast, Pancakes, hard boiled eggs, microwave Omlette with cheese and sausage) however, the Breakfast room was often filled so that there was no room to sit down. In addition, it jams at the Buffet in front of the toasters and the microwave are often very strong. But it tasted all good and was constantly replenished.

I would not come back again to this hotel. When we came to EWR airport we went to the P4 station where the hotel shuttles come to pick up their passengers. We called to Ramada hotel and they said shuttle will be there in a MOMENT. It took 45 mins for them to come and pick us up. And the excuse was TRAFFIC… location is really great as only 2 blocks away from path station. we stayed 4 nights there and saturday morning we had flight from EWR around 10:30 am so we left the hotel at 8:00 AM and we stuck to the traffic on one of the highway/freeway for almost 1 and half hour. We informed to shuttle driver that we are going to miss our flight and he said this is the only way to go to the airport from jersey city. Meanwhile we called to the hotel too saying what we are going to do as driver is saying this is the only way to go to the airport and the front desk staff says IT IS LIKE WEATHER. We can't predicate that it is going to be that much traffic. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT SORRY! we understand that if it is traffic we can't force to proceed to the way but there is always another way to go to the airport via another city which they didn't take after waiting for 1 and half hour there and during this time we only drive less them 1 MILE… after 9:25 am driver decided to go back to the another city and we reached to the EWR airport around 10:00 am and we can't check in to the scheduled flight.

We are with the Hotel very satisfied, and would recommend it to our friends. (traveling with two adults and a Teenager, housed in a two-room Suite with air conditioning, two televisions, small kitchenette with microwave, fridge, coffee maker). You realize that the Hotel something came into the years, and here and there some beauty care could use. But it is well kept, every day the maid comes and does a good Job, so that we have us always felt good. The Hotel is definitely not a shabby or neglected impression. Pros

— — the only point of criticism that occurs to us, we are everywhere confronted in NJ and NY, is this huge generation of Waste. Everything is cups, disposable plastic plates and Styrofoam served and then thrown away. As I said, everywhere! The Americans alone produce only by this fast food mentality kilos of garbage a day! : — (very sad! Hope it helps you.
