I feel horrible for all our ski racers who put so much time and effort in to your mountain! Kept buying season tickets for last 10 years for family of four and for Managment to cut the program is a disgrace!
I will not spend a dollar at MC!

Best water park in the area.

Trust me this resort is not worth visiting. However, if you are a beginner, yes maybe worth your time. Most of the people who work here are rude and won’t let you use their bathroom if you did not rent from them. My suggestion is go somewhere else-somewhere there’s more than two lifts, good customer service, longer slopes, and inexpensive.

Terrible customer service. Cannot call to speak to anyone. Told to send an email and wait days for rude email responses. Beware about ever speaking to a manager and resolving any issues with ski passes. They will gladly take your money! Email only and takes days for uneducated, rude responses. Restrictions are unsafe for actively skiing. No other ski resorts in the North East are requiring you restrict your breathing while actively skiing. Masks are fine when not actively skiing but not while actively skiing. They will not address moving our season passes to next season or refunding. Passes were bought before the pandemic. We Will be pursuing complaint with State of NJ consumer affairs and suing if necessary. They lost our business as locals we will no longer support this place. SKI KILLINGTON and other local ski resorts and see what true customer service is and how they work with their customers during a pandemic and how they appreciate their season pass holders and treat people with dignity. Don’t waste your money here. Other local ski resorts care about their people and offer refunds or moving passes to next season gladly to keep your business, unlike Mountain a creek.

Visited 3 times so far this season and patrons and employees are not appropriately mask wearing plus crowds are massive. They seem short staffed — scanned passes 1 of 3 visits and no one is around to enforce mask wearing. While they’re limiting passes, they aren’t adjusting the number according to number of lifts open. Super poor experience so far this season.

Hi, my name is Alfredo and I booked a stay with my twin daughters to snowboard and stay a night at the resort. The resort is very nice and the staff were great. Chris at the front desk informed me of a couple of issues they were having with booking the all-inclusive. Honestly, the staff did everything I felt to make the situation better and helped out. I run a business and know that sometimes things happen that are out of our control. The staff really did a great job in my opinion while I think the tech part of the problem must have really been draining them inside. They put their game faces on and did great in my opinion. I did have to wait more than I originally expected, but the mountain was worth it. My daughters and I had a great time and will definitely book again. I’m sure they’ll iron out the glitches and will be booking my next stay tonight!

The opening was horrible, thousands of people who bought the season pass were waiting for more than an hour to get on the lift, it is a great lack of respect with customers, it would be better not to have opened and wait until everything is ready, yesterday I arrived at 12:30 and stayed until 6 and managed to climb the mountain 4 times, I didn’t drive almost 2 hours for this, if I had known I wouldn’t have bought the season pass and don’t recommend it, go to hunter mountain or windhan which is much better.

Absolute waste of my time and money to go here now. No point to open the park if half the rides were closed. Zero social distancing, long lines and just a very very unpleasant experience. Completely understand the whole pandemic issue but why close half the park but want people to be more spread out. What sense does that make! You limit the entrance to 500 but keep everyone in one part of the park. Absolutely idiotic. Will not be returning the rest of the season. Just an absolute waste. Drove all the way there for one ride and a wave pool.

We are very disappointed with this place again. The most ride of the park is closed. (open only 3 river rides and kids area and the pool). Very long lines everywhere, no social distance (nobody cares about 6 feet) not been reinforced, not enough tubes (family can't slide together in same tube — a mother couldn't slide with her 2 little kids together after 1, 5 hours waiting). Everywhere were used masks (in the pool too). They over sold tickets for this smaller place. At least was in the park today 600-800 people. Inside the changing room and the public restroom are dirty like last year or 2 years ago too. Not properly been cleaned or no real sanitized cleaning.
I will never go again. Would not recommend it. Unfortunately.

Worst ticketing and rental experience!
Service is awful and too slow! One and a half hour (almost 2 hours) just to get tickets and rentals! Awful day! A nightmare! We will never come back.

Customer service for rentals is awful. I’m not sure they know what they are doing, no direction, no care and this was at each station inside. Getting any questions answered was painful for the employees. On a better note, the employees fitting skis know what they are doing.

The most, my children had a lot of fun. Super cool!

Woohoo! This was one incredible experience and nature added pleasant (Foggy) surprises to our day! We went zip lining yesterday (it was my partners birthday and we wanted to have some fun adventure added to our day) and to our amazement it was a super misty n foggy day… we ventured into the unknown on the 4 zip lines each one more magical than the previous one as we set ourselves into the foggy misty autumn coloured surroundings over the valleys and the entire property at Mountain Creek, walked the archways, crossed the thin bridge, climbed up and down the stairs, rid the gondolas and ziplined!
Also have to mention special thanks to Christopher (Chris) the main manager at the front desk of The Appalachian Lodge, he was amazing and ensured our stay and entire time at the property was nothing short of spectacular, we are grateful for his hospitality and kind generosity. We are surely coming back in winter season to enjoy other parts of this fun property.

Great place in summer and winter.

We do enjoy Mountain Creek occasionally, but it needs an overhaul. At the beginning of the season, they charged passholders for regular parking. They have since updated that and no longer charge, which is great. I haven't been since I was a kid and we decided to join the park as members this year. There are some super fun rides we love, and others that need attention. The wave pool chairs need replacing. Are the dark marks from mold that was cleaned off? The mats at Surf Hill also have a lot of black spots. The ride itself could use repair. It's a bit beat up. The first time we went over to the Colorado River ride, the attendant sent the raft down before one of my sons had a grip and he slipped to the middle of the raft, almost falling off. He won't be going back on the ride due to the helmet fit problems either. The H2Oh No slide and the one next to it are a lot of fun. The splash pad is cute also. The lazy river is really for tiny kids. It's so small. We loooove the lazy rivers at some other area parks. We won't be renewing next year. It's too much work when I take the kids (8 yo boys) on my own. We struggle carrying the rafts up the hills and stairs for High Anxiety, The Gauley and Thunder Run. The cliff area is fun and definitely refreshing. The tide pool is a nice place to spend time, although as I mentioned, the chairs need a facelift. The food and beverages are modestly priced, which is nice.

Bought my tkts online. They made me wait over an hour in 95 degree on a line that was long and never moved just so they could validate my tkts. Staff was rude and didnt try to improve situation. We eventually left and they refused to refund my money. All this after an hour and a half drive with three very excited boys.

My wife and I had a chance to get away for one night to relax and have fun. We looked extensively in a large area spanning from DC to NY for something relaxing yet fun to do and figured this place looked good. It had s couple places listed to eat drink and the rooms looked nice. This time of year, make no mistake, there is NOTHING to do here. For the pricey room, lacking a working fireplace, with broken curtain rods, and hair in the bathtub, it’s probably better to avoid here unless it’s ski season. I actually called when we got here and asked about the restaurant listed on their web site.
The front desk told me that it’s open and if I hurry I can avoid the evening crowd. 25 minutes later after a quick shower my wife and I arrived to find it was totally closed to a private event. We settled for a sushi place in a strip mall and then boxed wine in the room. At least we got to snuggle by the fireplace… oh wait…

I’m updating my review since the winter is coming. I love snowboarding! If it wasn’t for Mountain Creeks low cost triple plays and learn to ski packages I would not have been able to afford to learn the only reason I love winter. It’s big enough that you can find plenty of fun runs to build up your skills while exploring new locations until you traverse all the way to a terrain park and work on your mastery. Now a days I make winter sports a part of my vacation budget. I’ll go to Vermont at least once a year and out west every few years. Mountain Creek however stays my home mountain where I can teach my friends and family, get some solo runs without committing to a long drive, or hit pow day without having to sleep elsewhere and not shovel my house out of a storm. North Jersey is a better place because of Mountain Creek. Sadly I do have to take a star away because of my scathing review of the summer water park. I’m sure young people who don’t remember Action Park can enjoy it but… Man has this place fallen from grace … I loved it so as a child and it seems that every year they remove a ride or two. Today with the park closing at 5 pm we were told at 415 we could not ride the Colorado River. Since High anxiety was closed the line was too long and we would not be able to be finished by 5. Every other amusement park in the history of man lets you last minute your favorite ride to stretch out your day.

It’s been a while since I’ve been there but Mountain Creek was my absolute favorite mountain for downhilling, races mostly but also just to hit the trails. My Monster T, Kona Stab Deluxe, all my gear, and I miss riding, especially at Mountain Creek. The fun doesn’t stop there though! … there’s SOOO much to do there, it makes for a great fun-filled day whether it’s Summer or Winter!

They have free saltine crackers when you don't want to pay money. It's very nice overall as a place.

Best ski area near home with enough varied terrain to get in a full day of outdoors exercise.

Great place to ski and snowboard or to have a drink. What I Like: — Good ski / snowboard trails — Huge parking lot (gets crowded on busy days) — Outside porch to enjoy view over the trails and a drink — 3 chair lifts What I Didn't like — Slow Service at the bar over there — No signs what time they close.

Brought my 4 year old son for his first lesson everyone I dealt with was excellent and very professional… would recommend the ski school to anyone.

Great place to ski that is close to the suburbs and New York City. The amount of trails was outstanding! There are a total of 48 trails. The trails range from greens, blues, reds, and black diamonds. Also, the kids camp is outstanding! My daughter went for the full day and loved it. If you are interested in having food I would suggest going to Schwartz, go inside right of the ski/pole return, walk and turn left the turn around the corner and turn right and go UP the stairs. There should be a large bar with TVs and couches and tables. The pretzel was fabulous, amazing bier cheese.

I want to share my experience about mountain creek through social medía because unfortunately, even though I tried reaching them personally and by email, I haven’t got an answer yet. We booked a ski & stay package with a room, because we wanted to ski two days. When we where going to ski for the second day, our ski passes didn't worked. The guy at the front desk told us that this package worked only for one day, but in the website it wasn't specified that it was only for one day. We weren’t expecting this type of answer, whats the point in staying if you are not going to ski the both days? If we had known this, we would have return home instead. The guy at the front desk was not able to help us and was kind of rude (think his name was Michael), and he argued that this was not his fault, because he had no contact with the advertising team of the website (isn’t it the hotel responsible for the whole experience? ). How can a front desk employee come with this type of answers and not help anyone? what is his job then? Given the situation we had to buy another lift tickets for this day and pay around 150 more than we were planning to spend. Additionally, we booked a room with a fire place, which was advertised in the webpage, and the fire place was just a decoration item, which lit up, and showed some artificial flames but didn't heat the room at all… Therefore, it wasn't really a fireplace!

Decent trails. But waited 2 hours just to get my rentals. Recent somewhere else or don’t come.

Very fun, great instructors for 1st timers (even when your old! ) The lodges have fun restaurant bars but everything closes early unfortunately! Karaoke Mondays are good times!

I love visiting mountain creek, it can get a little icey at times but overall the trails are a fun time. It doesn't get terribly crowded on non holiday weekends which is great, the food is a little expensive as expected and the staff are all helpful and friendly. Will be coming back every season.

Purchased ski pass and none of the clerks knew where can I pick up the equipments. Had to wander around, stay up in the long line and some people just cut in, not because they are rude but it seems this place doesn't have proper control or manual. No one seems to explain fully enough, assuming the visitors are very familiar with this place and professional. I would recommend to come here with veterans of this place.

A staple of NY/NJ riding. Always a mad house. Always people riding above their skill level. Always bath tub landings. Always kids in the landing. Always getting snaked. But always a good time. Park crew does a pretty good job trying to keep the hike park fresh, but the rest of the mountain can sometimes get stale. Make sure you keep track of your gear, because having it stolen is commonplace.

My husband & I along with our 3 kids ages 11&12 (twins) really loved it here! We stayed at the Appalachian resort where everyone was so friendly and accommodating! Great grounds & lots to do for their age. They loved the water park so much that they went twice! We live in Florida so good water parks are hard to come by elsewhere. These rides were really fun for us! Lines moved right along…
Our boys also did the mountain biking which they also really enjoyed!
Thanks to all the people we came in contact with for the great time! We will definitely return!
