Never stayed there. Have gone for happy hour, bingo and breakfast. Fun local place.

Great place for families on a budget, clean rooms and nice pool. Staff was helpful and other guests friendly. And an easy walk to the beach! We would stay here again.

We had the best family vacation! thank you to the Windjammer and staff we had such a great time. Cant wait until next year!

Outdoor patio was nice. I would recommend keeping the pool open till 9:00. 8:00 was too early to close.

Although we cannot sit at the bar, all if us sitting at tables and conversing was so cozy and friendly. Got to talk to peeps I've only said hi to in passing, now we are new friends, I love it, and of course love Joe & Maureen. 😍😍😎

Clean and no riff raff! Family owned business. Love the restaurant/bar as part of it, great breakfasts and killer happy hour on the deck. The pool is clean and plenty of chairs to relax. Quaint and the perfect family place.

Stayed there this past weekend, had 2 rooms, I realize we were out of season, but the rooms were dirty. Really need to pay attention to the cleaning. Some of the bedspreads should be replaced, pretty gross. Also, normally when you ask for a smoke free room it means just that. When we turned on the bathroom fan it filled the room with cigarette smoke, horrible. Will not be staying here again.

Stayed for the first time this summer and well worth the money… owners and staff were so friendly and helpful… breakfasts were very good… our room was clean… beach very close and everything you need is within a few blocks… will definitely stay again.

The waitresses were very polite and friendly! The food there was great too! There were so many things that I wanted to try. They had an amazing breakfast menu as well as lunch. Can't wait to go back there!

The rooms are OLD and dirty. We stayed one night and had to leave. My 9 month old had huge bug bites on his arm and leg. The bed is very small, like a full size, the water stunk and the kitchen appliances look like they're from the 70s, there are ants everywhere, and there is just a lingering smell of cigarettes and dampness. They do have good customer service though, we stayed one night and left. They refund us our money for the remainder of our stay with no problem.

Old school hotel with a flare for hospitality. Joe and Margaret went out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel at home Great pool. This is the best NJ beaches has to offer. A definate place to stay.

I do not know how anyone can not leave a five star rating. This hotel I’ve been going to since the early 80s. The staff is the best! And, the most accommodating facilities you will find down the jersey shore … pool is clean and awesome as it always is, great bar and restaurant on premise … what I love, is that it’s one of the oldies, but goodies… very well kept up on, you can see they put back into that hotel year after year. Cleanliness is top! And if you do have a problem, it’s fixed in an hour! The nostalgia this place gives you of the olden days is second to none, but at the same time, the hotel is maintained like no other jersey shore motel… I will stay here forever, every year. Beach is right up the block, they give you free beach passes, and every convenience is at your fingertips right around your motel on the walkable strip! Liquor stores, pizzerias and ice cream shops, sob shops, restaurants, EVERTHING! Even If your not a beach person (which I am), you never gotta leave the hotel, cause it’s got everything, even an arcade for the kids, and laundry mat … I call the windjammer: “ OLD SCHOOL PARADISE”! Bless you guys, and another 100 years of business! Salute! Can’t say enough about this place! Just book it and see!

I had my trip booked from 8/3-8/8 2018. I checked in last night. The place is awesome, the service is awesome, the owners and their family are awesome. I had to check out this afternoon after I received a call that my mom was in ICU back home. Not only were they compassionate and understanding, they refunded the remainder of my trip, gave me their cell number so I could call them and made me a cup of coffee for the ride home. They told me I was family and treated me like I was one of their own. I don’t know how to ever express my gratitude and appreciation for all that they did for me to be able to get home to my mom without any added worry or stress other than to say THANK YOU! And to tell everyone that if you’re staying in Seaside make sure you stay here, where you are treated like a member of their family! I hope to return soon, I know this will be my Seaside Park home when I am there!

The people who give this more than one star, must be the ones sitting at the pool drinking and smoking their cigars and cigarettes. This place was old and worn in 1960. Very nice owners but seriously in need of new carpets, mattresses kitchens and linens. Great location.

Had to try the Windjammer breakfast and to no surprise, superb! I had the corn beef hash & poached eggs while my wife enjoyed the chef’s prime rib & eggs. Didn’t have a morning specialty drink today but will for sure, next time. Thank you Defilippis family!

Best place … been going there for 21 summers… my kids and family are treated like family by joe and frank.

Joey and the gang make you feel like family. Great pool, great staff, and great location.

The Windjammer is a classic Jersey Shore spot. The rustic, nautical bar is adjacent to the upper deck and overlooks the pool area. When the Summer comes, there are few better places in Seaside Park to have a fun & relaxing time. And it's just blocks from the beach. The owners are warm and friendly, and they made sure we were enjoying ourselves during a party we recently attended.

For our family the windjammer is always 5 stars. The staff is very helpful in every situation. The place is unbeatable between the beach badges, breakfast and lunch, happy hour with free appetizers and drink prices that are unmatched. 100% family friendly with accommodations for all. Beach location is a half a block away, shops and liquor stores all within 2 blocks. All in all we the windjammer is a home run!

I've been staying here regularly for the last 30 years. Joey and his family have always treated me like family. One block from the beach and two blocks from the bay. Seaside Heights is far enough away so the this hotel is quiet. Island Beach State Park is a ten minute drive down the road.

Tradewinds in Lavallette definitely superior. Windjammer is cheap, one block from beach, no frills.

Family owned. Friendly management and staff. Large, clean pool. Small bar located on site — Happy Hour on Mondays and Fridays. Stones throw distance to a decent liquor store, a great deli also family owned and the beach.

Awesome happy hour. Cheap drinks. Free hors d'oeuvres. What more do you need?

I love this hotel. Is it retro? Yeah, and that's what's so cool about it. It's themed as a sailboat, has a pool, has a bar with happy hour, and restaurant. The staff is very friendly.

The room was nice, the sheets smelled like cigarettes though. Otherwise it was a pretty good experience. The pool was nice to have even though it's only a block from the beach.

The Windjammer has become a family tradition started by my mom and step-dad. Over the years we have recruited an even larger group because everyone we have introduced it to has loved it and wants to come back asap! Such a warm, friendly, and inviting place. It really is our home away from home and our summer would never be complete without our annual trips down to visit our Windjammer family! We left yesterday and are already having the blues : (The happy hour is exceptional, food is great, servers are super friendly and attentive and the overall experience is always top notch.

Great location, awesome pool. Small lumpy beds, but great staff. Dated decor in rooms, but we're not here to stay in our room. Great deck and restaurant above the pool. We've been coming here for over 20 years! One block to the beach.

If you haven't experienced The Windjammer Motel you are missing out. The nicest Family owned and operated place on the Island. Clean rooms, heated pool, fantastic breakfast and lunch menu. Their happy hour is the ultimate! Free appetizers passed around while enjoying an ice cold beer surrounded by palm trees on the upper deck makes this the number one spot to be on the Island.

By far the best place on the island! Friendliest staff, great food, great drinks, right down the street from the beach. And the lady named Margaret who works the front desk is really cute!

Rooms are very nice and clean, great location and great management. Everyone is extremely friendly especially at the bar. The bar has cheap drinks and free food during happy hour. Beautiful pool and pool area that is connected to the bar patio. Fun relaxed place to stay or just to go to the bar on weekends.

Happy hour is the best! When you're there, you're like family!

The two of us (adults) stayed in an efficiency suite for three nights. The staff was friendly and housekeeping was quick and thorough. We were given beach passes at check-in, and our room was ready on time. Our room was on the top floor. Everything in the room was clean and the room itself smelled nice and clean. The shower stayed hot, the fridge kept our food cold and the air conditioning worked well. The air conditioners were a little noisy but it didn't bother me. The bed was a little creaky but it was comfortable and the blankets were warm. Lots of closet and drawer space in the bedroom. I wish there were more power outlets in the bedroom, though. But not a big problem. I liked that there were extra pillows and a blanket in the little closet, too. The bathroom is large enough for two people. The towels were a bit small but more than enough to get dry after a shower. The TV had some good channels on it when we did use it. We didn't really use the kitchen except for the fridge and the bottle opener. There were pots, pans, utensils, dish soap and other kitchen utilities available in the cabinets. The pool was a nice temperature and wasn't overly saturated with chlorine. Plenty of space to sit poolside. Even with kids around, it didn't feel crowded. We had lunch the one day at the lounge, and the food was good for the price. There was always a place to park, never over crowded, and I felt my car was safe where we parked.

Only a short walk to the beach and a couple restaurants and a bakery. The rooms are a little out dated but serve their purpose. The pool is definitely a plus. Staff is very friendly here including the wait staff at the bar/restaurant. I would rate this hotel a 4 out of 5. It just needs a bit of renovation to get that 5 star rating.

During my stay the Wi-Fi didn't work on the entire upper floor. Our toilet didn't flush at points and there were breaks and holes in the walls and doors.

Loved it! The location was perfect, and the people were so great.

Open during the off-season. Free easy parking. Lots of rooms. Relatively low prices. Heat works. Water works. But the furnishings are old and worn out. The mattresses are shot and should have been replaced a long time ago. Relatively thin walls. Questionably clean.

Mike President from Northeast Anglers fishing club we stay there every year for the pass 8 years in November for our tournament and other fishing tournaments. Great People Great service! Very Clean and most important Great sleep.

Just recently stayed at the Windjammer and couldn't have been happier. Clean room, close to the beach. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful time. Can't thank them enough! May have been our first visit however it will not be our last.

It ain't a 5-star hotel but this place has more charm than money can buy. Love it.

My stay at the Windjammer was a great experience thanks to the excellant staff at the Windjammer. The place is very clean, the price is right, the staff is very helpfull in every way. We were only 1 small block from the beach, had a heated pool to swim in, and a liquor store, restaurants, etc close by. It was great. Thank you Windjammer.

I have not been to the Windjammer since 2003, however we had gone every year since 1992 and stayed there each year in early September. We always had an excellent time. Close proximity to the beach and seaside, clean rooms, nice pool, and friendly staff. Amazingly helpful, especially when my mom would inevitably lock her keys in the car. (this happened 5 years in a row, no joke). I hope to be able to return this summer and start the tradition again with my own family in the future.

I love Seaside Park. I like the Windjammer because it is away from the rides and has the best beaches right up the street. It is far enough away from the crazy Seaside Heights Boardwalk to really enjoy things without feeling like being in a crowd. Free beach badges and the staff was very helpful. If you have never been to the beach in Seaside Park, you're missing out on one of the best beaches I have ever been too. Restaurant and Bar upstairs makes for a very fun time. Be back soon for more.
