The worst possible! I've been in better cockroach motels than this dump. Bed covers are covered in cigarette burns, Wi-Fi is something that you will have to live w/out it for the time being. Definetely made top of my worst cockroach motels! They won't see me back again. BBB will have a good time checking this guys out.

I read the reviews, and thought the absolute worst ever… I even had a back up hotel room. I personally stay in other places, however at this place they had rooms for 5 families, and a large group wanted to visit the beach. I walked in armed with my Clorox, gloves, and own sheets, ready for the worse. Much to my surprise, it wasn't as bad as I thought. It was dated, it was a little on the rough side… however… it served its purpose and I stayed in the hotel. It really was not as bad as we thought! The located was good… seemed to be close to everything. There were constant police officers, bike patrols, etc… which I am not sure if this is the norm for this area or not. I felt safe until late night. We stayed at the boardwalk until 11 one night and walked back … totally cool. But when I had a miscommunication with my hubby and he had the key, and I had to sit on the steps with kids at 1130pm, I didnt feel as safe (especially as the cops were chasing 2 people right past our hotel) Overall, it was just ok. Not horrendous. But definitely not good… just ok for 1 night. Stayed in rm 6.

This place is trash. That is all I have to say. Currently here the police monitor, the front staff is a joke, you get kicked off for not having a wristband like you’re 12 years old … and someone robbed my chair.

Roaches and bed bugs. Filthy rooms and sheets. Cable doesn't work in most of the rooms.

Never again if you do go to the store and by bleach and Lysol to Disinfect the room that's what I had to do. I had my own sheets, Blankets, pillows and towels. Glad I don't think they ever clean anything there. Broken Bed Frames the staff came up and fixed it with a 2 by 4. Plugged in a cell phone to charge sparks came out power went off. We were offered another room but they looked worse. Last day of staying there noticed in the bathroom looks like someone head was bashed in to the wall with blood stains on the wall. Look like a. Crime scene. Lol 2 nights felt like a nightmare. Looks like a place for Hookers and Junkies and creeps.

Hi guys Never stay at this place even for free We paid extra money for kitchennet which had nothing in (not even a plastic spoon). Appliances suck, took an hour and half to boil bottle of water Ceilings falling apart, had beautiful drawings of pen*s on the ceilings. Beds are falling apart and no mattress covers on some of those. Door locks loose. No clothes hangers Hallways smell like someone was using it as toilet place. Pool is much much smaller then shown on website. Parkings sucks, had to leave the keys with staff (they are not responsible for damages to your cars). Hair dryer and iron can be taken for an hour. P. S. Read reviews before booking the room Stay alert Disappointed.

My husband and I decided to try a trip to Seaside Heights with our two young kids (18 months and 6 years). We found the Gelndale online and the pictures made me confident in our choice. When we checked in the staff woman Karen was PHENOMENAL she was sweet to the kids and quickly checked us in. We went to the room and it was sadly DISGUSTING. Cigarette burns on the bedding, carpet, and pillows. It smelled of cigarettes and just plain gross… the carpets were matted with gum and other stickiness. My husband went down to the office and Karen quickly and promptly gave us a new and seemingly much nicer room. We slept over fine and well but in the morning my 6 year old was screaming about fast bugs running near the beds and bathroom. My husband got up to inspect and discovered ROACHES! He went directly to the office while I started packing. It was Karen again and she played innocent like this has never happened before… meanwhile the maintainence man already has a bug bomb and spray set up because they "Do this every week"! Two more couples left when we did. Karen was amazing with her personality and refunding us but what a way to ruin a vacation for a young family.

There are better places for sure, but its really cheap and it has everything you need. Plus you dont have somebody chasing you all day long. You can feel like home.

It was well worth the money… great people n very close to beach… never had to drive my car everything was right there… will be going back there again next year…

The location is nice right next to the beach. The rooms are nice. Air conditoner you have to leave on for 6 hours+ for it to be coold.

I don't write reviews, but I feel like it's a must with this one. Me, and my family. 4 adults, and 5 kids stood in the two bedroom apartments that this Hotel offers. Space is great, and staff is friendly. Kitchen, fridge, and everything else included… There's just one thing… They have BED BUGS! as I'm laying down on the couch at night time, I got up to the bathroom, and see a bed bug on my shirt… I went back to the couch, and it was covered in bed bugs! I called the office, and the guy tries to give me another room. I went up to the next room to check if it was clean so that me, and my family could stay the night. The kids were helping me, and surprisingly there were no bed bugs BUT they find a USED NEEDLE! It was 1am, and we had to pack all our things, throw out the new blankets we bought, and clothes. This is not a place for families, it is not as nice as it seems. Bed bugs are a plague, and who knows what that needle had.

Rooms are sub par, but staff is great and the security police are very chill. Just split the room.

The room was infested with bugs. I woke up the first night covered in bug bites.

Um I didn't actually stay here but um… it sounds HORRIBLE. If a hotel employee is a jerk then avoid the place.

The owner is very rude and unprofessional. My friends and I made reservations two hours before we arrived at this dump. When we got there we were told that "you don't want to stay here" and "go to surfside. He refused our service and was extremely rude. He then decided to yell at us as we walked away after one of my buddies made a comment a disappointment towards him.

Turn up, this motel is one of the "spots" for your prom weekend. The owner is extremely friendly and very easy going. You can walk right on to the board walk with no difficulties or "confusions'". This Motel is very safe is not going to kick you out if you make a little noise. The rooms are modest, but very clean. Last minute place to stay? Here's the perfect place.
