Very comfortable and clean. Staff was nice and very polite. The houseman Chris was so helpful and super funny. Definitely will be coming back!

Always stay at this hotel when going to New York. Can't beat the price and it's easy access to the city. Staff is always great and rooms are clean.

This is the best budget hotel I have stayed in. Nicely appointed, clean, modern rooms. Easy parking. 30-minute bus ride into New York City's Port Authority. Good Wi-Fi. Good water pressure in the shower. Friendly, helpful staff, overall, although they need some polishing. The breakfast is the standard budget hotel breakfast offering of bagels, self-made waffles, cheerios, corn flakes, frosted flakes, waxy apples, yogurt, bacon and eggs, coffee, orange juice, cranberry juice and water. Small exercise room on the second floor. Small lounge area in the lobby. Only one ice machine, on the first floor. The hallways do not have good ventilation, so they can be stuffy, and the carpet in the hallways create an odd optical illusion which makes it feel like you are walking uphill. There was no ventilation in our bathroom, so there was a slight mildew odor. Our refrigerator was not cold enough. Great place for the price and location. I would stay again.

I'd give 2.5 stars if I could. WAY overpriced for what you get. Front desk were ornery and not very welcoming. Lots of obvious missed spots by housekeeping, weird drop ceiling in the bathroom. I'm not expecting a classy and modern experience at this price point, but I do expect a spotless room based on the rating of this place. I have no clue how this place is getting 4 and 5 star reviews.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a hotel. It is right on the water and I had a beautiful room literally on the waters edge. Got to watch a family of geese with their little goslings outside my sliding glass door. Pam at the front desk went above and beyond the call of duty to help me find a good place to eat and help me with my TV. She was so friendly and I don't always see that in my travels. There's a Trader Joe's and a ton of restaurants in the parking lot of the hotel. I love the value Comfort Inn brings and will definitely be back.

Rate and room was fine for 1 person. I couldn't get the TV to work as I was given instructions by desk clerk on what to try… unfortunately, it was too dark in room at night to see the direct TV box behind the TV to find the settings. I was too tired to really care at that point. Room could have been a little cleaner. You can always tell the cleanliness level by looking at surfaces and corners. As best as I could tell the linens and bed were fresh and clean. All in all not a bad place to be for one night. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Excellent location if you're driving to NYC. Free parking, right on the Hudson for a beautiful view of Manhattan. Comfortable room, friendly staff. An easy half-mile walk to a ferry terminal that gets you to midtown Manhattan in 15 minutes, or there's bus stop a few steps from the hotel where you can catch a bus to Port Authority terminal.

I've stayed in hundreds of hotels. Almost no parking, a breakfast that isn't served till 7am (I had to be at my job at 7 so I could never eat), and I had ants in my room that was almost 200 per night… I've been loyal to comfort inn, but this is one I won't return to. Photos show one ant. But that's after I already killed a few dozen…

I love it nice and clean staff very friendly breakfast was good and very close to stores especially the Sojo Spa Club it was right across the street. Great location I will be back.

Very clean hotel and great service. Housekeeping was on point every single day and the breakfast bar is great. It is also close to a lot of shops & restaurants if you need anything!

Great view of the river from the hotel sun room. Some features in the room we're a little dated but everything was working. Friendly staff.

Lobby and front desk very clean. Staff was also nice. Our room wasn't that clean beds were good but some of the sheets and pillow cases had like stains. Bathroom very outdated and toilet not even clean all the way to the bottom and sides there was like drip stains. Door was nasty because it was dirty also stains and dust. Behind the nightstand there was some pieces of paper. Overall not so clean and parking lot small.

Bed is nice, has microwave in room. Gym has nice equirement. Cons: unapproachable staff, doesn't even greet you or acknowledge your presence. Gym is very very small, 2 machines only and some weights. Gym hours are terrible. Vending machine only on first floor. Breakfast starts late. Not worth the high fee you pay.

We were very pleased with the cleanliness of the facility. The breakfast was very good. The only problem we had was that our room was missed by the cleaning crew on Saturday. We did tell the desk and the problem was dealt with immediately. The staff was courteous and very willing to meet our needs. We were very satisfied and will use your hotel again.

Spottily and Very clean rooms and great food, with plenty parking lot right on the front of the hotel, responsive customer friendly staff. Plus amazing view to the Hudson River. A pleasant place to gate away.

The exterior doesn't look like much but the interior is all pretty new. The room was very spacious, including a king, sofa, hot tub, microwave, and mini fridge. The only thing I took off for is the size of the shower, the jets in the hot tub, and the lack of soundproofing. Both my fiance and I kept bumping into the shower faucet mid shower due to the small size. Additionally there is only a 2 inch margin of error for the hot tub. If the water is too low, the jets will spray water across the room like a supersoaker. But the max fill line was only 2 inches higher than the highest jets. This meant you had to readjust the water levels every time someone repositioned. Finall the lack of soundproofing. We don't know the guests staying in the room next to ours but they were playing a really loud bass all night long and into the morning. We tried calling the front desk, but all the guest did was move their base closer to the back of the room (basically closer to where our bed was located) My fiance was woken up at 5am due to the base.

This is a great place to stay, very good breakfast, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms and an amazing view of the Hudson river. Will definitely return and recommend to all my friends and family.

Kind and curtious staff. Quiet clean updated room. Over all great experience. Would stay there again.

I guess they don’t care still no reply from management or Choice Hotels. Will definitely not be using Choice Hotels in the future! ***** Not happy with management. Tried to cancel day before the snowstorm and told we were a few hours late to cancel, and would be billed the full price. Contacted manager and Choice Hotels and still no response.

A hidden gem in a very nice area, away from the hustle & bustle of NY, with an amazing riverfront view, yet close enough to NY via Washington Bridge, or by ferry boat. Love the hotel patio to sit, relax, eat, sip wine, watch the ships sail by, and enjoy the city lights. Hotel staff were excellent, very helpful with bus, subway, ferry boat info. FREE hotel shuttle around Edgewater is an added bonus. Buffet breakfast is hearty with eggs, hash browns, sausage/bacon, cereal, yogurt, fruit, coffee, juices. We spent 4 days here in Oct when our AirBnB fell through, and very happy we did. Highly recommend this hotel for your short or long stay in and around NY!

Clean rooms, extensive breakfast with healthy options. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They seem to genuinely be glad you’re there and want to guarantee guests a pleasant stay. Been visiting this hotel almost 20 yrs.

I must thank your staff for being so customer service oriented; what ever I requested, it was done. Your late check out was a blessing given the airport schedule we had. We enjoyed the beautiful view, your deck and the location couldn’t have been better for us. I highly recommend your hotel!

Comfortable, clean and modern rooms. Conveniently located near ferry and bus to NYC. Plenty of restaurants nearby. I use to live in Edgewater, NJ and recommend this area and hotel.

Love the river walk. Front desk woman on Sunday night was wicked good. She helped with TV, remote, jacquizzi etc. She was also very friendly everytime that I called down. The redo has turned out nicely, you should get rid of the trailer in the back parking lot. Makes the place look trashy.

Service was great. Made sure we parked our car in the correct location and went outside to make sure. Room was clean and nice. Hotel was close to the ferry and our favorite place (Mitsuwa).

The room looked just like the pictures; however the room smelled like it needed a little fresh air. It didn't have a foreign odor, but it smelled like a room that's been closed for a while. My mother says the breakfast was good.

If only you had a pool! Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was filling, and staff was friendly and accommodating. This was a very pleasant last minute reservation only 15 minutes from Yankee Stadium after a great NY Yankees game!

Some maintenance is required in bathroom. Stay was good. Beds were comfortable. Nice location next to Hudson River.

Very nice. It was one of the lesser expensive hotels in the area. 20 minutes from NYC by bus. Room was nice. Fantastic view of the city across the river. Staff was pleasant and accommodating. A good find!

All the staff we interacted with we very pleasant and helpful. We had a problem with the television in the room we were assigned. The clerk on duty assisted us to see if the TV could be reprogrammed. It could not so the clerk moved us to room 127 were we had a similar problem. We we then moved to room 129 were the TV was operating correctly. I think that the hotel should put something in place to check that all devices in the room are working to ensure this type of problem is eliminated.

I enjoy staying at the hotel. It's clean, well maintained and the price is right. Free parking makes it so much more attractive than other nearby hotels. I had a problem with the air conditioner. It just didn't cool down the room. Other than that, the staff is friendly and efficient and the breakfast is an added bonus. I will definitely stay again.

Clean room, firm bed, typical Comfort Inn breakfast, friendly staff. Bus stop right across the street. $4.50 for a half hour bus ride to Times Square. Excellent location if you want to see N. Y. C.

We had a good stay at the hotel! The staff was friendly and professional at all times, and the breakfast was not bad either! A guest started a fire in their room, and we had to evacuate, but as soon as we were allowed back into the hotel, we we assigned new rooms to get us away from the smoke!

Hotel was under construction. Free breakfast was ok, no public rest rooms and parking lot was a mess. Rooms were nice.

This place is great Place to stay! Nice people, front desk was very helpful, Amenities are good ample of parking space, great Breakfast, Wi-Fi is faster, rooms are clean and the view of NYC is awesome, great broad walk behind the hotel. Easy commute to NYC Via Bus or nearby metro train if you prefer! Ample of restaurants are around the hotel.

The rooms for comfortable and the experience was good. All the amenities were available but the breakfast serve was decent. Enough variety but lacking in some areas as well. Comfortable stay at comfort in but a bit pricey for the room.

Wouldn't allow restroom use without room reservation. The rooms were not in my name therefore they were unable to assist with a "public" restroom, nor would they allow me to use the employee facilities. Otherwise the rooms were very nice and proximity to NY, NY, was awesome!

I hesitated to book here at first due to some negative reviews. This place is even better than 3 star hotels. Clean, affordable and family friendly. There is a back yard where kids can play and have fun. Also it gives you the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular views of Manhattan. Lots of space to walk on foot by the water and the surrounding shops. I used to pay more than what I'm paying here at 3 stars hotels that give me the feeling of being locked in a cell, while here I pay less for better.

This place was great the front desk lady's (Joyce) was very kind and helpful. The rooms was very nice and clean big enough to move around in. The deck on back was great to set on a listen to the water and watch the other side. Now if your going to visit New York city I would advise you to take lots of $$$ and if u take the bus. Make sure to know where your stop is as the driver are very rude to the rides we had to walk back three miles due to the driver not stopping when we hit the stop but.
