The Featherbed Inn provided a wonderful home-base when I went to Vermont this fall on a photo shoot. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, giving me tips on nearby waterfalls and other good photography sites. The grounds of the inn had lovely flowers, a peaceful pond, and a gazebo from which to enjoy it. The breakfasts were gourmet fare. This is a great place for a Vermont getaway!

Featherbed was our fourth inn on a two week through New England vacation and by far the best was saved for last. From the hospitality of Karen and Mick to the serene and beautiful grounds, the scrumptious breakfast, the cloud like featherbeds that Mick personally fluffs every day …. Well suffice it to say that Featherbed sets the gold standard that others need to follow. We felt like family but very pampered family and highly recommend this piece of heaven to all. We had a lovely two night stay — immediately welcomed by our fabulous hosts Mick and Karen with suggestions for hiking and recommendations for restaurants and shopping. The gracious accommodations and spacious grounds have everything this California girl hoped for. — looking for recommendations.

The innkeepers, Karen and Mick, could not have been kinder or more welcoming on my unexpected overnight stay on a very busy weekend. Beautiful surroundings, elegant and relaxed, the Inn does have heavenly feather beds and a scrumptious breakfast. Just wonderful.

We had an amazing stay at the Featherbed, fantastic accommodations, great hospitality, and the food was to die for! Will definitely be back.

The inn is very charming and comfortable. The rooms are furnished with unique antiques and have very comfortable beds. The breakfast that is provided is excellent. It is in a great lovely location very near three ski area’s. We rented a cottage for the month of February and I’ve been extremely pleased with the amenities!

Location, hosts, food, fire pit, ski boot racks, etc. Absolutely love this place! it was away from.

The Featherbed Inn is a wonderful find. The Inn is lovely and inviting. The breakfast is amazing and if you book a dinner, you will be blown away. Karen and Mick are not only gracious hosts but people you would like to call friends. Covid is a tough one but they have managed to not only have a safe and impeccable place to stay but rules we can all follow to be safe. Don’t look any further for a place to stay any time of year. We’ll be back with the family.

We have just spent the better part of a week at the Featherbed Inn-where it exceeded our expectations. The owners Karen & Mick made us feel so welcome and went over and above to accommodate us.
Everything was great! From the delicious & amazing breakfasts, the comfy feather beds, the lovely pond, listening to great music while relazing by the cozy fireplace to Karen's great walking/hiking recommendations right from the property trails.
We also felt very save during Covid with their attention to all protocols.
We highly recommend it!

What an incredible stay! Karen and Mick are fabulous hosts. Really slept on a featherbed. Very cool first. Happened to be a family weekend so had the opportunity to meet Karen’s lovely family. The highlights of our stay were Karen’s yummy breakfast including fabulous homemade, warm scones and the waterfall tour that Karen provided. Worth the trip to Vermont! A memorable stay for sure!

What stood out to me, in addition to the beautiful surroundings, was Karen and Mick's friendliness and warm welcome which continued throughout our 5-day visit. Karen went way out of her way to cater to my special diet, something I didn't expect but so appreciated. We recommend the Featherbed whole-heartedly.

Great relaxing weekend with Karen and Mick. Breakfast was out of this world and they took extra care of my special dietary needs. The room was large and clean and the Inn has lots of nooks and crannies to sit and relax with a book. The grounds have many places to just be, really just perfect. There are lots of trails for hiking and biking right outside the door. This place and wonderful hosts are a real find.

The multiple outdoor spaces made it easy to sit back and relax while practicing social distancing. Also some of the best scones I have ever eaten. Cannot wait to visit again soon.

We just had a wonderful cozy weekend away with our family at The Featherbed Inn. Already wishing we could go back. Karen and Mick are great hosts — warm and welcoming. And the breakfasts are delicious! I'm still thinking about that sweet skillet dish!

What a WONDERFUL, PEACEFUL PLACE! We just returned from 5 days, 4 nights with the most wonderful guests and inn keepers! The food was awesome, the atmosphere can’t be beat, PLUS with all that’s going on out there presently Karen and Mick (the Inn Keepers) were sanitizing away and reminding everyone to do the same especially when returning to the Inn. It’s a quaint Inn with limited rooms, which made it the PERFECT get a Way at this crazy time with the virus,
We even BOOKED a return trip in May to go back, got to get booked before the rush!,
If you’re looking for the PERFECT INN with NOT a crowd of people like a hotel… I would HIGHLY recommend! The atmosphere, food, accommodations and things to do can’t be beat,!

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the Featherbed Inn and wish it were 30. The owners and innkeepers, Mick and Karen, are delightful, warm, and so very welcoming. From the comfortable and clean rooms to the soft feather beds, stoked fire in the cozy den, amazing breakfasts, and the warm fresh-baked cookies in the afternoon, our stay was superb. Karen even found me a fantastic yoga class just down the road that was an unexpected and special add-on to our trip. Can't wait to come back in other seasons as well, to enjoy the Mad River Valley, but especially to visit again with Karen and Mick. Thank you for a fabulous stay! See you soon.

We were the first guests under the new ownership and had a wonderful stay! Karen and Mick are very fun and accommodating. The bed and the breakfast were great! Comfortable and delicious. And the trails out back were really enjoyable in the VT snow.

We had our daughters 4th Birthday party here. What a magical experience all the children had. Fantastic party games organised by the party leaders. The converted barn is great place to have party food and indoor activities.

This is such a lovely place for a party! We had my daughters 5th birthday party here and it was enjoyed by all. The whole set up is very relaxed, the girls who led the party were great with the kids and we added the ‘pass the bucket’ activity which everyone loved. A great place even in all the mud.

My son had his 6th birthday party at Featherbed Stables in August. What a great afternoon. We had a party for 8 which was perfect and the children enjoyed grooming the horses as well as having as many rides as they wanted. The sweet little barn is perfect for parents to hang around in, as well as for hosting the party food and a game or two. It was all very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed by all. I went for the additional party bags and sweet cones which was well worth it and saved the hassle of sorting these out myself. I would recommend if your little one fancies a pony party, boy or girl.

Beautiful b&b with great innkeepers. We had a lovely room and bath — nicely decorated and with everything we needed. Great breakfast the next morning as well. Be sure to meet Robbie, Sneakers and Buddy!

Had our little girl Mollys 3rd birthday party here today. We had the pony party and it was brilliant from start to finish. The pony’s were dressed up and the children had as many rides as they wanted. The girls running the party were lovely, and the games were good too. The stable was beautifully decorated and the party box food was lovely. We will definitely be back and can’t recommend the stables enough. Thank you to Donna and the team.

The owners were so friendly and welcoming! My son loved meeting the animals that live on the grounds, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious!

The owners of the Featherbed Inn were very sweet to our 3 month old and gifted her with a sweater upon our departure. Linda provides a delicious breakfast with homemade goodies and their 2 dogs are gentle companions. Traveling with a baby we were worried about regulating our room temperature at night at an Inn but each room is equipped with its own AC unit. There is a nice location if you are looking for a relaxing getaway and only a minute drive to downtown shops, farmers market on the weekends, and restaurants.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nice rooms, wonderful breakfasts, friendly hosts.

The Featherbed Inn was our favorite place we stayed during our trip to VT. Inn keepers, Tom and Linda, have servant's hearts! The breakfasts were amazing with such attention to detail. We traveled with our dear friends, and for my birthday, Linda surprised us with homemade little apple cakes to celebrate! She even wrote out 2 recipes of her's I loved. After staying 3 nights, all five us left feeling like we were leaving good friends. I can't recommend more highly choosing this inn for your stay. You won't want to leave!

We had a wonderful experience at The Featherbed Inn. Not only was the B&B quaint, the owners were very friendly and we were warmly greeted by their two sweet dogs and cat. Beds were heavenly and the breakfast was delicious. Do yourself a favor and stay here.
We will be back!

My husband and I have stayed at the Inn on a few occasions when the weather turned bad and we didn't want to drive back to our home in Charlotte after skiing. Both times the accommodations were lovely and the breakfast was delicious and ample. Fast forward to this summer (2014) when we happened to dine at a local restaurant and had blueberry pie for dessert. It was so delicious we badgered the staff into telling us where the pie was from. It turned out that Tom Gardner from the Featherbed Inn was the pie maker. This August we had a birthday party for my husband and I called Tom to see if he would make pies for the event. He was very accommodating and we ordered 6 pies to be picked up by a friend who lives near the Inn. Well, low and behold the friend forgot to pick up the pies! I made a frantic call to Tom and he agreed to meet my friends at the top of the Appalachian Gap to save time. Not only were the pies delicious and the hit of the party, but Tom saved the day by meeting us half way and saving us precious time. Thanks a million Tom! Your pies are fantastic and so are you.
