This place, Chipman Inn, is wonderful, really spectacular. The owner is kind, gentle, sweet, and professional. Oh, the beer is phenomenal! I am coming every year! Next stop, Liza’s graduation!

Nice comfy spacious rooms. We had own own 3-room suite with its own sitting area. Super clean. New mattresses and many renovations. The breakfasts were delicious and large enough to keep us going almost until dinner. Chris, Joan, and their staff were so nice to us. We felt like family. An historic building with modern amenities.

Above and beyond hospitality and service. Joan and her son Chris are amazing.

My husband and I were looking for Old MacQuivey homestead, when we stayed at this wonderful charming Inn. Chris and Joan were wonderfully welcoming and the food was excellent. They had the map on the wall that I had found on the internet and we found the property and found three log cabins there with the new "60" 's
house built on foundation of original house. We can't wait to go back again to Vermont and see Chris and Joan. Kathleen and Jim Ritchie.

Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The proprietors are very friendly and the breakfasts are delicious. I highly recommend this inn.

My friend and I were hiking the Long Trail and made it to the Chipman Inn at around 9:00. I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast, but Christopher set the bar incredibly high. By the time we arrived, we had missed dinner. Christopher was gracious enough to drive my friend and I to the next town to get something to eat. There was a multitude of interesting books to read and the room had every accommodation imaginable. The breakfast the next morning was delicious and I didn't feel rushed at all. This Bed and Breakfast went above and beyond to make us feel at home, and they definitely accomplished that.

My husband and I happened upon this inn while on a weekend trip. Chris and his mother Joan were immediately welcoming and were a terrific resource of information about both the inn as well as the surrounding area. The inn shows its years in the most charming fashion, and it was a welcome respite from the reliable sameness of chain hotels. Our room was cozy, comfortable, with a large private bath and wide windows that let in the refreshing mountain breeze. The breakfast of local fruit and yogurt followed by bacon, eggs, and an amazing baked french toast was an amazing send off as we left to continue our adventure. We would be happy to return here in the future, and highly recommend it!
