Even amidst a pandemic, you just could not feel more at home. Individual jars of cookies constantly refilled throughout our stay. A perfect collection of items you may have forgotten (or didn’t know you would need like the ear plugs I so appreciated). Delicious breakfast, tasty coffee, and chocolate cake that is so perfectly homemade. Looking forward to returning when the weather might call for some time in front of the wonderful fireplaces, instead of sunning ourselves by the pristine pool.

My husband and I stayed at the Golden stage for only 1 night but had such a great experience I wish we could have stayed longer. The inn keepers welcomed us with hot mulled cider, warm soup and cookies, which was very thoughtful after our 2.5 hour drive. They showed us to our room which was very cozy and even had a welcome bag of seasonal goodies. Breakfast the next AM was delicious, homemade and very filling. Next time we will be sure to stay a bit longer to get even more of the Vermont experience!

This was our first time visiting, but felt like we were visiting friends! Julie and Mike are such exceptional inn keepers, making us feel welcome and at home. The food was delicious, and Julie sent us off this morning with fresh pumpkin muffins! What a treat!

I was attending a honey bee festival out back. I saw some chickens and possibly other animals outback. My children and I were admiring the beautiful gardens and in ground swimming pool. The owners are very friendly and helpful. I would love to stay overnight sometime.

We stayed recently, and LOVED it. “Down home” feel, wonderful breakfasts (cherry pancakes were my favorite) and even options to buy in to dinner sometime when they host guests who are part of a local walking tour between Inns. Board games and puzzles… Nelly the dog… sheep & chickens running around (fresh eggs! ) and a pool! Places to hike, visit micro-breweries, museums, shopping… it’s all close by. Mike & Julie who run the place are warm and welcoming. This is not a fussy place… but if a clean, comfortably elegant and homey place is what you seek — this is it. We now want to return in the winter time to see it all covered with snow. It is right off the highway — so you hear some traffic noise — but if that’s ok for you, this place rocks. We’ll be back! My husband and I escaped family responsibilities and had a weekend to ourselves. We did the "Treat yo self" package for two. It was wonderful! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. As was dinner and the bottomless cookie jar. We are already planning to visit again when the children are at camp next summer!

This was one of the best bed and breakfast's I have ever stayed at. The innkeepers were extremely friendly and engaging, giving advice about the local area and also just chatting. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and all of the little details had been thought out. The grounds are also kept very well and the area is beautiful. We will definitely be back!

We love Golden Stage Inn! Our family of four has come for the past two years while skiing at Okemo etc. This year the warm weather (50s and 60s) made us question why we would want to ski at all but we made the trip regardless because love the Golden Stage Inn and Julie and Mike's hospitality. The bottomless cookie jar is a real winner but more attractive is just hanging "inn" the common room with the fireplace, games and calm and peaceful atmosphere. Do yourselves a favor — skip the chain hotels and cheap motels — — stay at the Golden Stage Inn. You'll be glad you did.

Spotless bed and breakfast that is meticulously decorated with every detail thought of. Owners are very friendly and the setting is quintessential Vermont. You're only a few minutes from Okemo ski area and a bit more to others. Can't recommend this B&B highly enough.

It was like staying at home! Julie and Mike, the innkeepers, are so kind. Everything they have including soaps and food is local, natural, and responsibly sourced. Not to mention AMAZING. The inn is so quaint and wonderful, perfectly placed in Vermont, and has the best sheets and bed I've ever slept on. The fire places in our room and living room kept us warm in negative degree weather, and the bottomless cookie jar and warm cider was fantastic next to the fire playing chess after a long day on the slopes. It was honestly hard to say goodbye.

Stayed here back in winter of ‘15, and it was a great experience. So friendly and cozy, and the breakfast was amazing.

A beautiful place spent the weekend a family wedding and it was great owners we perfect rooms a very cozy breakfast was great love the place great off season place to go for the locals.

We had a wonderful breakfast at the inn over the weekend, not only was the food out of this world but the charm and hospitality was outstanding, we had a party of 11 kids and adults, go eat and enjoy we did… Tom.

Stayed at the Inn over this past February break with my family and another close family. Would rate this place a 5/5! Julie and Mike are wonderful. The place is so cozy and beautifully decorated. The family suite was perfect for both families and at the end of the hall in which we felt some privacy. The bed was so cozy and rooms very clean. Breakfast was so delicious. Everything homeade! Afternoon soup and endless cookies were so welcoming after a long day of skiing. Julie was so great with our kids and she allowed them to collect eggs from the chicken coop and pet and feed her sheep. A get away we all will never forget!

Very much recommend it! Beautiful inn, very charming and clean! Wonderful home made breakfast served w their warm hospitality The house was built in the 1700's but it is very well maintained. 10 minutes from the ski slope. They are very friendly and pay attention to details. The only downside is that we could not stay longer. We are definitely coming back!

Innkeepers Mike & Julie have thought of every last detail at this beautiful, historic inn. They've added so many wonderful modern touches that make it true to who they are without taking away from the great history of the building/rooms. We were lucky enough to stay in Otis's room — where classic charm met modern elegance — a gas fireplace in the middle of the room and jetted bathtub with heated bathroom floors were a few of the key elements that really grabbed our attention. Everything is meticulously cleaned but in a way that makes you feel right at home — perhaps it was the bottomless cookie jar and fresh mulled apple cider that did the trick upon our arrival? ;) Breakfast in the morning was perfect in size and big in taste (fresh fruit with a delicious yogurt and orange cream sauce & cornmeal, dried cherry pancakes and bacon! ) was the perfect way to start our day before hitting the slopes! We've stayed in many different places in the past, but this, by far, was a favorite! If you're in the area for a ski weekend, VT getaway, or a special occasion, I would HIGHLY recommend seeing if the Golden Stage Inn B&B has a room for you!

If you are looking for a truly historic B&B experience with wonderful owners, this is for you. Central to many activities offering a very warm common area and two course breakfast. Also, they offered gluten-free options and could not be more accommodating with regard to snacks, coffee, tea and hospitality. My wife and I highly recommend the Golden Stage … and enjoyed their honey too!

Golden Stage Inn B&B is a fantastic place! We have stayed in 2 rooms and both had been totally renovated, the bathrooms were superb! A total classy place! Julie-Lynn and Mike are down to earth, friendly, and went above and beyond and made our stay there fantastic! Everything exceeded our expectations! The rooms, the service, the breakfast (WOW! ) all organic, fresh, home-made fantastic! The afternoon soup right there waiting for you warm in a crock pot and delicious… We can't say enough about The Golden Stage Inn! 100% worth the price! We'll be back for sure again and again.
