I just watched the rerun of the show hotel hell here in Canada. Seeing how Sandy’s attitude and all the rooms completely changed, if I’m ever in West Dover this Summer Layla’s definitely would be my first choice. Take care mate.

Hubby and I had a great time! We brought our two large dogs up, we had a spacious room comfy bed easy access to outside for the dogs. Good food good conversation good people!

Layla's Riverside Lodge is our favorite place to stay at Mount Snow. The lodge and its staff create a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, while also providing a top-notch experience. The food is exceptional and Sandy and his team go out of their way to make sure that your stay is as well. Layla's brings dog-friendly to a new level as well-behaved dogs are allowed — no, encouraged — — to move freely around the inn. Don't misunderstand though, this level of dog-friendliness is not at the expense of cleanliness and good order, the inn is very clean and well kept. Layla herself would not have it any other way.

I was watching your video from hotel hell. I wish you success! Hope you are still the outgoing and thriving person gordan left you! As for this hotel, it has fine dining, a pool, hot tubs, exquisite rooms, delicious country food and amazing dog kennels and play areas! What’s not to like!?

Just finished watching Hotel Hell and I can’t wait to book 4 days to stay here. I absolutely love Vermont and it’s beautiful sceneries that it has to offer but the Layla hotel is something extra special. It has a little bit of everything that Vermont has to offer!

Had a great time at the Green Mountain Cannabis Music Festival on Sunday July 1st 2018. History in the making that is so so long overdue. Thanks to the owners here for throwing a kick ass party to help celebrate. Those that attended had a great time dispite the 90 degree heatwave. The pool was so refreshing, thanks to all for hosting this great event. Gotta love "Buddahfly" great songs!

Just watched your episode on Hotel Hell and was touched as a fellow dog lover and decent human being. I’m glad to see you’re still doing well and it’s good to see that with perseverance hard work does pay off congrats on the success and cheers to many many more. Ps if I’m ever in the area I’ll be sure to come stay.

Fantastic environment to enjoy with friends, family, or as a couple. Staff is friendly and helpful. Dogs are not only welcome, they're guests as well! Everyone is family at Layla's!

It's heartwarming to see the kind of transformation the Four Seasons underwent thanks to Gordon's involvement. If I ever visit Vermont, I'm definitely going to swing over for a stay at Layla's. From the looks of it, you're still going strong, so keep the good work up, Sandy! Cheers from Argentina!

The first time I visited the hotel, it was still the Four seasons inn. It was not the best of the stays although the staff were very friendly to me. I came back just a couple of days ago with my new dog Lily and it was amazing! I tried everything. The pool was great. The hot tub was soothing. The dog kennels where in tact and I could tell Lily was having a blast there. The beds are great and smell clean and Lily sleeps like a queen in her dog bed which was also clean. The food in the dining room was great and waay better than before. I had a great stay and I'm definitely coming back soon. Thank you to all the staff for answering my questions and making me feel wanted here. It was a pleasure doing business here!

I just watched The show hotel hell. I love the show but I look up the update of the hotel. It looks like the hotel is still standing be reading all reviews. I glad that sandy is still the owner. I saw most of the other owners lost their hotels. I am proud that you still there Sandy and your hotel is alive. If I am around the state I try remember your guys. Never been to to your state but it look great!

I haven’t been here but seeing other guests give positive feedback is enough to give 5 stars x3 I do hope I can visit someday Mr. Sandy. Love from New Mexico.

BEST stay I’ve ever had Gordon Ramsey’s food recipes are awesome room was comfortable and very awesome dog kennels.

Absolutely fantastic! Love the room I stay in. The food was faantastic and the staff was awesome! Beautiful scenery aswell. I Would definitely come back to this place!

Haven't came but the way it looks and the way Gordon Ramsey changed Sandy life I will go by the way I haven't went because I'm 12 years old and good job Sandy and his staff.

Great place to stay at when you want to bring your pets! Great atmosphere, good service, reasonable prices, and not horrific like how it was before hotel hell. (Hotel hell convinced me to stay here for 2 nights! )

After visiting and seeing the episode on Hotel Hell, I have to say, this place is absolutely GORGEOUS! A wonderful owner and great staff! I'm glad to see it still on it's feet and heading towards even more success!

It's amazing at how much you all have improved since Ramsay came! I hope your future seems prosperous! I might stay here for myself if I ever go on a trip to Vermont!

Loved it. It used to be so run-down and terrible but now it's amazing bring your dog and have an amazing time and the food was great.

I saw it in hotel hell and now it's look super good, I will stay there with my dog soon.

To all the geniuses who just watched Gordon Ramsay's video from Hotel Hell. Realize this. That was in season 2. That was from 2014. This hotel has made quite a large transformation since then. The reviewers who tried to drag out the stuff they saw in the Ramsay video should be ashamed and banned from reviewing. This place has cleaned up big time. Definitely worth the cost, and worth visiting.

Your still not cooking are you Sandy? lol. Just saw Hotel Hell and love the remake of the hotel. I have been reading the reviews and it's nothing but positive and promising reviews and I see your doing great. I'm glad it's going amazing for you and hope if I ever visit VT I come stay there. Gordon Ramsey gave this hotel a new life on a show called Gordon Ramsey Hotel Hell and he made huge changes. Never been to this hotel but by watching the show I would highly recommend you to go to this hotel!

We had an amazing stay at Layla's Riverside Lodge this past weekend, while we were up there for the Tough Mudder. The owner was extremely accommodating to me, my son and my dog. He cooked us a perfect breakfast, and I absolutely loved how dog-friendly this place is. Seriously, I've never stayed at a place that was more dog-friendly. My dog loved running in the back yard and had an absolute blast cooling off in the stream right out back!
Beautiful setting, location is perfect, the room was spotless and Sandy/The Owner was an amazing host.

Such a cool place, relaxing and dog friendly… we come every year!

Had an awesome weekend up at Layla's Riverside Lodge. Sandy definitely makes you feel at home very accommodating easy to talk to Ben's over backwards to make you feel comfortable room was clean nice fresh comfortable had a great time, definitely Will stay there again. Weekend involved in a charity event that we had to go to and it was very convenient to where we were meeting lots to do in the area if you're into motorcycling great place to go. If you're into winter sports no better place.

Sandy I haven't been there personally I rate it 5 stars because my cousin was there and he was talking about all the good stuff and the dog place love it really wish I could come but sadly I can't also it's so different from before and watched hotel hell.

We were up visiting a friend and staying nearby. Long story short: our friend introduced us to some of his friends, and we all wound up at Layla's for dinner, where one of the families was staying with their dog. From the moment we walked in the door, Sandy, the owner, treated us like long lost friends. There was an untended bar that we were invited to enjoy, and the dining area and the group of a dozen of us (adults and kids) had a great time. We met all of the dogs staying at Layla's, including the inn's namesake. On top of all of that, Sandy cooked dinner for all of us. He read the crowd and insisted that the kids eat first. After dinner, he brought out vanilla bean ice cream and a homemade pear and berry pie. Next time, we're bringing our dog and staying at Layla's!

Having just spent a night at Layla’s Riverside Lodge, I’m left with many good memories. First, from the driver’s perspective, it’s an easy place to find, very convenient location for access to fun places to go to.
Yes, it is dog friendly, as we found when checking in — very friendly dogs, including the youngest who accompanied us to our room. Actually, there are two dogs; one a puppy being the most outgoing, the older one being like a larger, more patient introverted type, but having confidence compliance and curtesy. Even after being there for a while, when coming in from local trip, the puppy was happily wandering around our room (but polite and appropriate).
In a nutshell, the place is different — warm, authentic and personalized, both for guests and dogs. There were clean dog beds all over, including rooms, and dog dishes everywhere – but again, very clean.
I had a great breakfast, made by the owner – since everything is from local food sources (eggs, bacon, syrup, French toast), uniquely tasty – I sat by the wood stove with a view of snow covered fields, mountain side, etc.
Apparently all of the rooms are totally different — none alike, and lots with real or gas/propane fireplaces. This is an inn, which behaves more like a bed & breakfast, with a staff that is more like local friends than regimented servants. Very VT.
