We loved our stay this past week at Mountain Top Inn. The staff was amazing! Everyone left you feeling special. The rooms were super quiet, the food and views amazing. Our sleigh ride was so much fun and a great way to see the property. There is so much to do or just relax and have a spa treatment like I did. Thank you to all the staff for making our Christmas stay so special.

Wonderful weekend for a wedding. Exceptionally friendly staff and customer service. Food was delicious and views are incredible. So much to do and see on the property. Can’t wait to be back.

I've been here for not one, but TWO weddings and have had amazing experiences both times! The rooms are great! The food is superb! The activities are abundant. They had two weddings going on in the same day here and you wouldn't even have noticed! I hope to come back here for another wedding in the near future! I would also come back just to finish my novel while enjoying the view. 11 out of 10 stars. 👌👏

Fantastic views and Service!

My husband and I had a wonderful "staycation" at the MTI. The suite we stayed in was clean, quiet, and a comfortable size for the two of us. The staff was kind and accommodating from the moment we first contacted them via phone to book our room to our final checkout. We enjoyed deliciously prepared steaks at their in-house restaurant while looking out at the gorgeous lake and Green Mountains. Prior to dinner I enjoyed the horse drawn carriage ride with my two young daughter's, before dropping them off with friends for the night (the beauty of vacationing within miles of your home). We highly recommend MTI, and plan to stay here again in the future.

This Vermont inn is a gem! The location offers great views, the restaurant food is delicious, the beds are super comfy & the rooms are well appointed. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area.

Perfect Sunday afternoon for a sleigh ride. Our driver Georgia was the perfect tour guide. So friendly and such a wonderful personality. Marissa who set up our reservation was so accommodating and helpful. This experience filled my friends and I with Christmas joy. In a scale of one to ten. They are a 15.

We went for a birthday dinner and the whole experience was ruined by the rude waitress and restaurant staff! The mountain top is is beautiful and scenic and the food was great. However, the waitress told our table to shut up, stormed off, and the rest was even worse. The servers refused to bring drinks over, one of our party guests served our own friends. The other staff slammed our dinner plates. As we were trying to pay — they refused to come over. We had to go up and pay ourselves after we spent $700. Then the ladies screamed at us as we were leaving. We also had to go pick up our card as it was not returned to us. What was planned as supposed to be a great night was ruined with terrible service. There are plenty other better restaurants with high end service. Do not eat there.

Such a perfect place for a peaceful yet adventurous weekend getaway! Beautiful views and so so many available outdoor activities! Look forward to visiting again! ☺️

We recently stayed here for a weekend in September and are already thinking about how we can go back next year. This place has it all! Gorgeous views, private lake, hiking trails, gift shop, pool/hot tub, delicious restaurant, and best of all for me — a horseback riding barn with one of the best riding programs around. Marissa our instructor did a great job and Khele is also a wonderful member of the team!

Food, service, pretty much the whole experience.
Waitress was rude, not once were we asked how our meal was.
Ordered an IPA during dinner. Pint of cider was delivered. IPA had been dumped. Another one was delivered at the end of the meal.
The meal itself was unbelievably lackluster,, and unbelievably expensive!
3 people, 2 beers, 1 wine, and sparkling water. 3 appetizers, and 3 main courses. No dessert and the tab was over $200.00 with tip!
I will not be back, I do not recommend this place one bit.

Been going here for years. This is the absolute best resort ever. The service is amazing the amenities are on point, amazing food, and unbelievably good tap list.

This place is awesome, there is so much to do. I came to originally stay for one night but I decided to book another night and they gave me the same price I originally booked with through groupon.

We chose the Mountain Top for our elopement and it could not have been more perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful and everything was absolutely perfect.

My fiancé and I stayed here about 5 years ago as a weekend getaway for Christmas! We both fell in love it with! The staff was great, very warm and welcoming the entire stay! I told my fiancé then I want my wedding here. Flash forward 5 years and we just booked our wedding here for 2020! I couldn’t imagine having it anywhere else!

This resort was gorgeous. We went for a wedding in Sept. And I had been a little hesitant based on the price. However after checking in (seeing the view from the lobby) and then opening the door to our cabin, I was sold. I loved everything about the resort. We sat in the hot tub, enjoyed smores down by the beach and visited the horses. I bought a ton of stuff at the super cute gift store too. Then the wedding itself was amazing. The view from the knoll was beautiful and the 'barn' was decorated perfectly. We had so much fun. Then the pizza after party at the bar was just the right end to the night. I would recommend it now for sure.

We just returned from whole a whole weekend at Mountaintop for our son's wedding. The Inn was amazing. The weather was chilly and drizzly for August but we had a party down by the lake on Saturday night and the ceremony outside on the knoll with great views of the lake. We enjoyed kayaking, hiking, clay shooting and many of the activities the resort had to offer with our family and friends. The staff — especially our wedding coordinator, Cassie was terrific and we had a wonderful experience.

We cannot say enough good things about having our wedding here. All the food, Ashley our coordinator, all the staff, the venue, the views they were are all amazing! Everything was beyond perfect. Thank you for an amazing week.

Wonderful wedding venue, the sun shined when the ceremony was about to start. All of the staff was accommodating. My only issue with the venue was that the beds were horrible. Like really bad. Super soft, but not in a nice hotel soft bed way. They were con caving in the center, my fiance and I both almost like fell into the middle. All of our friends felt the same — the mattresses sucked.

I went here for a tour because it's a potential venue for my wedding. The employees were so polite, asked every question, and were super informative. The grounds are GORGEOUS and not crazy expensive either. In our top two for venue options by far, but I think it'll be number 1.

We got married here in 2016 and absolutely loved it. They do everything with care and thoughtfulness. We have been back for our anniversary each year since and continue to love the inn, the restaurant, and the grounds. It is a wonderful place managed and staffed by great people. Rooms are cozy and comfortable. Food and drinks are top notch. And the views from almost anywhere are absolutely stunning. We recommend MTI with enthusiasm!

Very nice resort although I only stopped in for lunch with family the time I spent there was worth while. We had lunch with a fantastic view of the valley and lake. The burgers are very good and the chicken wings were amazing. They make there own tangy maple sauce that was divine. A huge gluten free menu for those in need and plenty of other options to choose for lunch. There is a spa connected but we didn’t visit that area. Parking is easy and you can roam the resort even if your just stopping for lunch. I highly recommend stopping by.

Visited for a family wedding. Beautiful views. Beautiful scenery. Deck and the barn were perfect for a wedding. Staff very professional and courteous. Food was delicious. Drive up to the Mountain not well labeled. Almost got lost getting there. Overall A plus.

Gorgeous location, nice amenities, and decent food. Be sure to inquire specifically about your room location because there are rooms that face the road and parking lot which is a shame when such a beautiful view is feet away. Also there is a half an inch gap from door to floor and basically no sound proofing so you can hear everything. The headboards are also loose and not well attached to the bed or wall so they bang around from just sitting or laying on the bed.

My wife and I were married here last year — we had a fantastic experience! Everything was exceptional — from the initial wedding inquiry to the day itself. Ashley, our wedding planner, was especially helpful at realizing our vision while keeping costs in check.

We're locals and frequent the downstairs bar for awesome burgers and drinks! Slightly over priced, but it is a resort. Sweet potato fries are great, regular fries are made with an oil and parm toss and come out super crispy.

Everyone was really nice and the food was excellent. Pricy but worth it. Rooms were nice and very clean and the view was amazing as well as the atmosphere. Highly suggest an evening sleigh ride its beautiful. We would and will definitely stay here again.

Attended a wedding here and the place was absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed every part of it. I even left a bunch of items behind and they were nice enough to ship them to me.

This place is amazing. A party of 8 of us came last year (2017) and had the most memorable time, so we decided to come back again this year (2018). We were afraid of setting our expectations too high, but they delivered and equally great trip. Also moderately close to Killington (30 min) and has a good restaurant on site. Be careful if you plan to go out because the restaurants and bars are not a very close drive. We will be returning next year and can’t wait!

Came here to cross country ski as with the lack of snow, they were the only ones with machined trails. Only less than 1 km open and cost $18. A bit of a disappointment. The grounds are lovely with a great view. Had a good lunch at the restaurant and walked down to the frozen lake.

Great experience. Beautiful views, great food, lots of fun activities to keep you busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially Jay the bartender, he went above and beyond to help us have a wonderful dinner.

Amazing resort. Clean and cozy rooms. Extremely friendly staff, with a complimentary shuttle to Killington! Continental breakfast is hot and delicious and the bar and grill for dinner is great! Going to book again for next year!

Very beautiful location, perfect for a wedding. Driving there in the winter can be treacherous, but that's Vermont. Huge, excellent beds.

The location is stunningly beautiful and the Inn and associated facilities have quintessential Vermont rustic charm. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We were lucky enough to see the Inn in both her end of fall brown and grey raiment and newly acquired snowy white robes. One of the best weddings I've attended.

Attended a wedding reception at this gorgeous venue. Perfect day all ther way around. Selected prime rib for dinner, and it may have been the best prime rib I have ever had at a large-scale venue like a wedding.

Lovely getaway in the mountains, with a great view. The staff are nice and the restaurant is really good. Dogs are allowed in some of the cabins. Trail rides through the woods or to the lake are a treat. Popular place for weddings on weekends, so be aware that it can be a bit busy then.

The staff was friendly. The house we rented was very clean. The grounds was groomed perfectly and the view was breathtaking. I would recommend this place to everybody.

We stayed at brook side north. Great location but dated accommodations. Television 19 in tube tv. Carpeting should have been replaced 2 yrs ago stained and had a bad odor. Humidifier helped had to be emptied twice daily. Resort was great food and drinks bit pricey but good time!

The resort was amazing. The staff for the wedding was fantastic. And I've review we had was Instagram worthy! This is the second wedding I've been to here and both have been great!

We had an incredibly positive wedding experience with MTI, and all of our guests did as well. Our prior trips helped us decide to come here. The guest houses we stayed in (Trailside Cottages) were wonderful, the landscape is wonderful, the food was good, and the staff everywhere was very friendly. MTI is so accustomed to doing weddings that the staff account for every tiny little detail and are very receptive to the ideas that the bride and groom bring in. Our coordinator was Cassie and she was wonderful — very detail oriented, understanding, timely, and kind. Cassie answered all of our questions and was incredibly helpful (and patient! ) with us and our families the whole weekend. We did a welcome party at the beach the night before — it was really great and with the separate spaces, you don't really feel if there's another wedding going on. The wedding day went so smoothly; MTI helped with shuttling us around and attending to all the tiny details on our schedule and for our decorations. We used the MTI spa for our services and though pricy for the area, they were great. For what we spent, there is no way we could have had the same experience elsewhere. We really have no complaints!

The facility was nice. The lodge I was in was nice, however the bed was terrible. I sank and couldn't get out of it. You could hear pipes banging all night. Also the dirt roads at the facility were bad in some places. Made it difficult to walk around with a stroller with two babies. All in all a beautiful place, but I've had better nights sleeping on my couch.

Was here for a wedding, great location with beautiful views. We stayed at one of the private homes at the property. Cell reception is non existent and Wi-Fi at the resort property is not reliable. Had dinner at the restaurant with a party of 14, food was good but the food came out at different times. I would have thought they would be good about handling large parties.

Stayed there for 2 nights. Very pleasant cabin and good food. Kayaking was great. The people at the spa were fantastic. Fantastic couples massage. Unfortunately we had a handful or issues, no one issue was too major but there were enough to make the trip a disappointment. Our electronic room keys broke twice, once on a day that it was cool and raining so I ran back to get a key while my gf was cold. They did not even apologize for this. Our second day we came back to our room and it smelled like cigarettes. They tried to say it was just the smell of the fireplace (which was locked up and we did not use), but as ex smoker we knew better. Also the adjacent cabin room had all of their windows open on a a rainy day, which makes no sense unless they were smoking. The food at the restaurant was great! But the manager, after I asked her to, refused to address the 2 people who were blasting videos on their phone during our entire 45 min meal. Not to sound like a snob, but it just got annoying. We weren't eating at McDonald's. We were paying a hundred bucks a night to eat dinner. Wait staff was very friendly and prompt though. At the risk of sounding too picky, when we asked how to turn the jets on at the hot tub we were informed that it was more of just a soaking tub. Again, not huge deal, just stuff piling up.

My husband and I got married at the end of July and all I have to say is that My Mountain Top wedding was seriously a dream come true and everything I've ever dreamed of ever since I was a little girl. The venue took everyone's breath away and the day (and weekend) could not have been more perfect. From the amenities, to the rehearsal at the Lake Pavilion, to the horse drawn carriage taking me to our ceremony on the Knoll, and our the reception in the Barn. Every single event was magical. The food was incredible and the whole night was spot on. The girls in the Salon & Spa Helped make my wedding day so fun as we were able to rent out the whole place and have our lunch catered to us. I Totally recommend any bridal party to do that! And last but not least, I want to thank my wedding coordinator from the bottom of my heart. Thank you so much for putting so much time and effort into the planning process with me from day 1. I couldn't have done it without you, Caitlin Layne! I can't say enough good things about this place! If you who want a beautiful Vermont wedding that feels like a vacation, this is your spot! I'm so happy I took a chance on this venue as I found it online over 2 1/2 years ago. Thank you to the whole mountain top team for making my dream wedding a reality! You guys have a special place in my heart and I look forward to coming back year after year.

My husband and I had our wedding a few weeks ago and we had the rehearsal dinner at the beach pavilion, the ceremony at the knoll, and reception in the barn. It was the best experience we could have ever hoped for. The staff is amazing, they are helpful, friendly and truly went above and beyond. We had all of our guests staying at the resort. Some were at the inn, some at the private rental homes and cabins. Every single person was blown away by how beautiful and clean the accommodations were. My husband and I stayed in one of the suites at the inn and it was absolutely gorgeous. The food is out of control delicious, we had people telling us it was the best filet mignon they had ever had. Over the course of the weekend we had a little bit of everything in terms of food, and everything was just incredible! I can't say enough good things about how amazing the menu choices are. My wedding planner Bethany was an absolute sweetheart! She was so helpful and she made the day go off without a hitch. I truly couldn't have done it without her. She really put me at ease knowing that everything was taken care of. She brought all our cards and gifts to our room for us, so we never had to worry about anything. The staff cleaned the entire reception space and put all of our decorations back in the boxes. All we had to do in the morning was load everything into the car. The whole experience was magical, we couldn't be happier with everything. It was like a fairy tale dream wedding!

Are stay, was for a wedding. We stayed in a private house thru the resort. Nice house. Little on the pricier but it was good.

The resort is homey and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is incredibly gracious. Here for a wedding and enjoyed resort amenities as part of a group and also on my own and both were equally good experiences. The food as part of catering and in the Tavern was very good. It wouldn't be terrible if I had an excuse to come back.

Absolutely stunning place! Gorgeous mountain lake setting, beautiful Inn and grounds, and have never had anything from the menu that wasn't delicious! Attended for retirement party, but have been countless other times for weddings, concerts, skiing, and dinner or drinks. You will not be disappointed by Mountain Top Inn!

We stayed at the Grande Vista cottage. The pace was amazing and the view was fantastic. The resort has a lot of fun stuff to do and the restaurant was awesome! I'd stay there again.

It is a lovely location. I stayed in one of the homes rented on the property. I have stayed in the main lodge in the past. The views are spectacular. It is a cut Above other resorts in the area, but less than 5 stars for me as it tries to split the difference between skilodge ease and high end pricing/positioning. It is exactly what it wants to be however. I don't fault them for their choices… just sharing my point of view. The state of Vermont is the real star. You wont find better acomodations in the area, but you may want to if you are accomostomed to high end establishments.

We went to stay at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort looking at it as a potential wedding venue. We stayed at the incredible home White Birches. The entire grounds were phenomenal and the staff and building were just beautiful and well kept.

We had the pleasure of staying from the 23rd to 26th August, we had a fantastic time, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The pool and hot tub were superb. The lake was absolutely stunning and the paddle boards, canoes and kayaks were free of charge for the hotel guests, Thank you so much for making our stay such a pleasure. We look forward to a return visit.

It is tough to top the Mountain Top Inn! We have been coming here at least twice annually for a decade and each year it gets better. They have done a wonderful job of creating a perfect VT get away (skating, sledding, sleigh rides, quiet privacy) in the Mountains with all of the amenities of a higher end resort (Tavern and Culinary — good enough gym and Saturday YOGA). We most recently spent a long weekend there as a family with a catered dinner on Saturday evening that was perfectly executed by Leah and her team (Mr. Ross). Brunch in the Barn for Easter was outrageous. MTI is perfect for larger families looking to rent a stand alone home with the availability to "proper" VT resort amenities.

Planning our wedding here has been so easy. The venue is picturesque and it can accommodate so my different wedding styles. Chelsea has been superb in making the planning as easy as possible.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Mountain Top Inn for our snowboarding trip to Killington Resort. Though I was a little disappointed with the distance between our cabin and the resort, we had a phenomenal time and loved the Mountain Top Inn. We stayed in Saddlebrook C, a newly renovated cabin right above the main lodge. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the lodge was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be returning this following year.

My wife and I honeymooned here, we were very well treated, and the food on site was excellent, fun horse ride and paddle boat trips. Could have not asked for anything more, the heated pool was also great.

I have called to inquire a couple of times at this resort and both times they were very snotty. I was even told to call when I'm sure if we will come. Oh my gosh, I was horrified! That certainly was not encouraging. : (.

This place is amazing! We recently went out there for a winter wedding and I was amazed at the location and great customer service we received. We left our keys there at one of the houses, and they were able to locate them and get them out next day air to us 2 days before the holiday.
