I love the Inn at Montpelier. I'm a Vermonter, but work often calls me to Montpelier and this is my home away from home. Comfortable rooms, wonderful parlors to sit in to work or visit, and no matter what time of night I roll in, there are chocolate chip cookies and tea waiting. Great breakfast too.

I expected the hotel to be in better condition for how expensive it is. The buildings, rooms and furniture are a bit dilapidated. I am from Vermont and I would not say that this has a quaint Vermont feel, it’s just old and needs renovating. The front desk guy was very nice and helpful when I checked in.

We had a an overall good two-night stay in July. The room was nicely set up and decorated (though a bit small) however the AC did not work and we happened to be there during a heat wave. After a very uncomfortable first night where the only cool air we found was wafting into the hallway from under other doors, the managers said they would move us for the second night — but they didn't. They brought in a tabletop electric fan instead. The breakfast was fine — expect an ample Continental breakfast, not meats and eggs. The porch is a great setting though there is surprisingly heavy street traffic. The best feature for me was access to a private den/dining room that was available for use all through the day as a meeting space — perfect for my needs during this trip.

Quaint nice. Homemade bake goods for breakfast. Can walk to restaurants.

This was our second visit and we will definitely be back / wonderful ambience/ lovely breakfast and pleasant and helpful staff ❤️

This was not my first stay at the Inn At Montpelier, the last being 5 years ago in the depths of winter The service, hospitality and the ambiance are just as good. High standards and reliability it what I like and expect so and I can definitely say it will not be my last.

A very attractive Inn in quiet surroundings with large well appointed rooms. The breakfasts are worth waking up for and the dinners excellent. Service is top-notch. They are very responsive to guests individual needs. The location is midway between Keane NH and Brattleboro VT, no more than 15 minutes away from either. For 20 years our first choice when we visit family in the area.

We stayed at the apartments, rooms are very nice, well furnished and a very workable small kitchen!

It's decor and offerings are very traditional and give you a Vermont experience that you will never have in a hotel. It is very quiet, and kind of sleepy. The rooms are quite nice and eclectic. I've stayed in different rooms each time I've been there, and prefer the main house. There's coffee and fruit on hand 24/7, great for very early risers. Montpelier is a very small town, and the Inn is at the edge of the "commercial" district. Everything is a short walk away. If you are up for some real local flavor, head to Charlie-O's for a drink, game of pool and general grungy-ness. Cash only, but I love the place.

We were here on a very very cold day. The heat in the room had a hard time keeping up, but with sub zero temps in a very old home, this is to be expected. They offer a simple but nice free breakfast in the morning. It has that lovely bed and breakfast charm that you would expect in New England.

What a beautiful stay in this wonderful Inn… Fantastic room and amazing breakfast on the veranda. Would highly recommend this fantastic house. Stunning! Great hospitality too. Thank you so much.

We have stayed here countless times over the last 13 years and never had an unpleasant visit. We have been in at least 6 different rooms and all of them were clean, comfortable and inviting. The inn is roughly two blocks from the main shopping/dining area of the town so it is very convenient. The owners are friendly and helpful. I love the fact you always have access to coffee or tea in the guest pantries and there are numerous places to sit if you want to get out of the room. The only place we stay now when we visit.

I've stayed here twice in the past couple years. The owners are very pleasant and the place is very well maintained. The Inn at Montpelier is just a stone-throw away from downtown and a nice quiet sanctuary to come back to at the end of a busy vacation day. The beds are very comfortable and I absolutely love playing my flutes on the Veranda!

We had a lovely stay in beautiful room with a big porch. I loved to sit there in the early morning with a cup of coffee (available at the foot of the stairs) and listen to the birds as the city came to life. Convenient to everything. Comfortable. There is a kitchen stocked with wine glasses and mugs plus other items. A refrigerator, coffee pot, cookies and fruit all day. Hope to visit again.
