A beautiful location! Close enough to various attractions to make this your home base and explore the area. Awesome hiking right behind the resort, a spacious pool, really good on-site restaurant, and nice fitness center, all just steps away from your well-appointed room or villa. We certainly hope to return some day.

This resort is absolutely fantastic! The staff are wonderful and knowledgeable. Beautiful views of the mountains. Spacious villas and awesome amenities. I would definitely recommend!

We have been coming here every few months since 2016. It is our favorite place. We never run out of things to do on the grounds or surrounding areas. The staff is always so pleasant and helpful. We have never had a problem with our rooms nor any other guest. Our kids choose this place over and over again over anywhere else. We can’t wait until the 28th when we will be back!

The rooms at the resort are great, unfortunately the paper thin walls leave a lot to be desired. I brought my fiancé and kids here today for a Valentines Day retreat. We travel often and prefer multiple bedrooms, so it seemed like an ideal fit. Everything was great until about eleven (now), when the rooms beside and across the hall from us started partying. Both my kids are awake now, I’m too pissed off to sleep, and I’m about to scream at the people yelling at each other in the hallway. I booked the nicest suite they had, thinking it would at least be comfortable enough to sleep in. Im a frequent customer, but I’m going with Hilton after this trip.

Close to Windsor and Woodstock 2 very nice villages and two of my favorite breweries Harpoon and Long Trail.

Great getaway. In the mountains but close to a lot of activities. Chef at Maple Kitchen restaurant is amazing!

Our Family truly enjoyed our stay here! Such a Wonderful resort with great amenities! The staff was very friendly, the rooms were spacious and very clean And the food from the Maple Kitchen Was incredible.

We attended a wedding with our Photo Booth company that was held at this location. Such a beautiful location with amazing views. Everything was perfect. Such a beautiful venue for any event or wedding. We worked with Amy Bonney who coordinated everything for the wedding and it was flawless. Highly recommend anyone considering this for a wedding, event or just a vacation, its beautiful. The staff were all amazing!

Beautiful mountain scenery, resort staff very helpful but the reservation office the worst I have ever dealt with.

Great place, full kitchens and 3 full bedrooms and 3 full baths! Plenty of room and close to skiing, great sledding and tubing!

We are Holiday Inn Club Vacation members so stayed here as part of our membership. Overall it was a great experience. It looks as though they're still renovating a lot of the buildings, but the one we stayed in was in great shape. The villa was a little on the small side compared to other HIC properties we've stayed at (particularly the bathrooms), but we don't tend to spend much time indoors when we travel so it didn't bother us. The location is great (secluded, yet 10 minutes from a grocery store). There are lots of fun activities to participate in as well. We went canoeing on the Connecticut River, hiking in Mt Ascutney State Park, and visited lots of little towns in the vicinity which was so much fun. Overall a great experience!

Loved this resort. We had a three bedroom villa for 8 people. There was also a sofa bed. It fit everyone comfortably and all the furniture and fixtures were beautiful. The views were also very nice. No phone service but Wi-Fi allowed for using phones. I recommend it for a short weekend. Not too much to do in the area without traveling a bit.

I only stopped in here for food at the in-house restaurant (something with maple in the name, maybe Sweet Maple) and they went above and beyond to accommodate. My friend, who is vegetarian, was sent a pot pie that had chicken inside. They immediately took it back and cooked us another with no meat. 5 star staff. The chef even came out with the new meal apologizing for the inconvenience. We're easy going people so it was no worries. I wish I could remember our waitress' name but she was excellent. Good luck in the future :)

It's a very lovely resort and the only reason am not giving it a 5 is that shops are about 5 to 15 miles away at least pending what you are looking for. The resort is located by the mountain side. Great for hiking, biking and skiing in winter. There are lots of amenities and the staff are caring. It's a great place for a family vacation, away from city pollution. You will love the hiking!

This was a perfect place for us to set up camp for a week. They upgraded is from a two bedroom to three and the view was spectacular. The decor was nice and comfortable rather than super upscale, which suited us very much. It was easier to think of it as home away from home. The kitchen was simple but had everything we needed and the staff were friendly and helpful. We definitely plan on coming back in the future.

Stayed in a great 3 br, 3 bath unit. Grounds were nice & serene. Main building is very pretty with rocking chairs outside, a fire pit in the evenings & a movie shown at night. Location is very remote, but near Mount Ascutney which was great to hike to the top, with teenagers. Only drawback to the property — only 1 bldg has an elevator, so be sure everyone in your party can climb stairs.

Great location, staff were very kind and attentive. It had great hiking trails and the restaurant was quite good. The only thing minor detail was that they had advertised our stay as a suite with a queen bed and it ended up being a double. Not a big issue and I would definitely recommend them as a great place to stay for the area!

Fantastic rooms! Full kitchen with pots, pans, glasses. Everything you need to cook. Definitely would go back again!

I just stayed at this location of Holiday Inn and had a great experience there. I reserved a one bedroom villa and my friend had a 3 room villa, they accommodated my request of putting us close to each other (in the main building) as they have I believe 4 separate buildings and each with their own parking lots. The villas (both) were very clean and nicely set up, the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, pots, cutlery and more, comfortable beds and a couch with a pullout sofa which we used, nice living room space with table and bouquet of flowers to enhance the room. Both villas had porches over looking the pond they have there with beautiful views all around. Very welcoming and friendly staff at the front desk upon arrival, and when I went at one point back to ask for something, by the time I got back to my room the guy was already there for me and was extremely courteous and friendly. Did not get to use it but I heard there's an indoor and outdoor pool with a big gym/workout area too although in a separate building so would probably need to take the car to it down the road. There was a playroom on the floor I was in and an arcade room downstairs too. Nice lobby with plenty of couches to accommodate many guests with a fireplace. Lots of rocking chairs on the front main floor porch and in the back at the pond too. If you haven't already figured it out, I obviously was very happy staying at this place which I would definitely return to and recommend it to anyone as well.

The place is beautiful, all the people including the staff are very friendly and hospitable. Beautiful landscapes. A unique experience!

My family stayed here for Easter weekend. The staff was phenomenal, the grounds were spotless and the activities kept kids of all ages entertained. We had a small hiccup around check in and the room we reserved online was not available in the main building. They were more than accommodating and offered us side by side villas, in place of the original villa we booked. They were so kind and friendly, I was blown away by the customer service. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone, and we will certainly be back again! Thank you again to all the staff for their warm friendly smiles and making our stay so memorable!

We had a wonderful vacation week here at the Holiday Inn Mount Ascutney Resort. We exchanged a week through Interval International and were delighted when we arrived. We stayed in the Windham Building where guest reception is, mostly because I had requested this building because of the elevator. I have difficulty climbing stairs and they were gracious and accommodating and made sure they secured our suite in that building. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. All of the kitchen cookware was new and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook meals in our room. The Maple Kitchen at the resort was delicious as well. We used the indoor pool and the fitness center and thoroughly enjoyed the facilities. The front desk staff was always friendly and accommodating to any and all of our requests! Thank you for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable… We will certainly return to this resort on our next trip to Vermont!

I was expecting good music when I paid for there hall on Christmas day it was so dead it felt like I was in a end of the world zombie movie where they make lame 3 people partys and the swimming pool was so far away and no hall to get to it that I did not get to go since I had to fully dress to undress over there and there ski slope was not good at all on top of that it had no lifts to take you to the top what a horble trip wasted 3 hrs driveing there gas money and money on the holiday in.

Worst place I have never been in my entire life, do not know how to train new people, got there at 10 at night and asked the receptionist if I could've check out late because I was gonna go skiing, otherwise I was gonna check out earlier but he said that wasn't gonna be a problem, I could've check out a little bit later with no problem at all, I invite all people that are thinking on going on this place don't do it! Had to get charged for something that I was told from an employee, called and asked to talk with a supervisor o a general manager but nobody never called me back, customer service on this place is just sucks, STAY AWAY FROM THIS DAMN PLACE.

I can't believe this place exists out in the middle of nowhere, Vermont! Although only about 20 minutes away from Okemo so great option for a bit off the beaten path. Good casual bar scene with a good variety of plates!

Our 3 bedroom Unit on the whole was nice, kitchen & bedrooms were fine, but living room area was relatively small for our party of 5, neither the individual unit nor the overall complex had a hot tub or even an over-sized bath tub large enough to accommodate an adult after a long day of skiing, indoor pool was heated but not hot (supposedly 87 deg), restaurant was reasonable and the food was surprisingly very good. The thirty-forty minute drive to the OKIMO resort was less than ideal: 30-40 mph was the maximum safe and/or permitted speed on these scenic but mainly back roads with moderate-steep slopes and curves (and snow/ice in our case to boot).

If you want great views and be away from the big city this is the place. Surrounded by farms and mountains. The accommodations were very nice.

Clean resort. Spacious rooms. Great scenery. A bit off the beaten path but still nice. Pool was warm but not close to the rooms.

Our trip was cut short but we loved this place. Beautiful villa with awesome views. Just wish they had an elevator as my better half doesn't pack light. Will definitely be back.

I photographed a wedding at the resort this fall. Not only is it a beautiful location for a wedding the staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms that the couple got ready in were spacious and nicely decorated. Would definitely recommend this venue to future couples looking for a mountainside venue that has it all!

Attended a friends wedding here the place was amazing! The rooms all have a view of a fountain and hilly area where the ceremony was held it was perfect. Staff was super friendly helpful and attentive any needs or requests were taken care of immediately.

Beautiful location. Located in the middle of nowhere, very limited cell service and spotty free internet. No service at the pool. So plan on being unplugged and enjoy your family. Rooms are great, fully furnished and equipped with kitchen amenities. Upon arrival staff was friendly. When we arrived to our building, we couldn't find an elevator. We walked up 4 small fights to our room. I called the registration desk to inquire about an elevator. I was told there is no elevator. I said that makes it difficult to get luggage and groceries up to our room. The response was, yeah sorry about that. Not exactly a friendly response. I may return, but will be sure to request a first or second floor unit. Also disappointing that our unit does not have a balcony or patio.

The rooms are big, and the lighting is great. It just seems like everything is the place is falling apart, like the doorknobs. Stains on the furniture. We entered the room and there was no power and the central air did not work.

We just started our vacation here and love it. Everyone has been great and the area is beautiful. Definitely going to try to come back another trip or two.

I absolutely give this place 3 up. Although I am not an outdoors exploring type of person, this place was cozy, romantic and beautiful. Great mountain views, small family type diners and restaurants, the people were nice and helpful too.

We are Holiday Inn Vacation Club owners. This is the first resort other then our "home" one in Florida. It's really beautiful, very scenic and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our 3 bedroom suite was wonderful more then enough room. We are not hikers but we found plenty of things to do for our 4 day trip. The pool is a drive to get to, but we are used to that from our other resort and not a big deal. Many big attractions that are more kid friendly are an hour or 2 away, but after doing a little research before our trip we knew that going in. We planned our trip accordingly to that. My reasons for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that where they do have a family friendly movie every night I wish the resort had more things for kids. A better game room, arts and crafts etc. Maybe even a little area scavenger hunt that would help kids learn more about nature. The second reason for my 4 star is, seriously, its a ski area and no hot tubs?! We are not skiers but given the nature of our vaca was to kick back and relax, a hot tub would have been amazing. So if you are looking for constant entertainment, then no this is not the place. But a resort to relax, enjoy the mountain air and scenary with a book, and sitting by an outside fire pit I highly recommend! This is one of 2 resorts within driving distance and we will be back!

Went to the maple kitchen for dinner and drinks. Service was good and timely. Bar is nice, comfortable and the beer is cold.

Beautiful area, very attractive landscapes and lots to do. It is a small distance away from a small town with grocery stores and restaurants. Lots of hiking and mountain biking trails with in walking distance and even more trails, just a short drive away. Their are numerous things to do within an hours drive (more mountains, hiking, fishing, gorges, aerial tramways, caves, covered bridges, kayaking, tubing, canoeing, etc…). I recommend Great River Outfitters for the latter …of the choices; they are located about 7 miles away, in Windsor along the Connecticut River. I would also recommend the Windsor Pizza Chef as a good restaurant for pizza, pastas and subs. If you are picky about your room, ask before you check in. Our room did not have a tub in the master, only a stand up shower (it was a handicap room, which I'm not sure why they gave us that). We didn't ask nor did we asked to be moved after discovering this… it was a later check-in and we just wanted to go to bed. As well, the patio was attached to the second bedroom, not the master; so we had to go thru ours son's room to have coffee in the morning on the patio. Not a big deal, because he is a solid sleeper. If you are looking for main stream restaurants and stores, not the place to go. But if you like the aforementioned activities and being in a quiet, friendly place… this is it!

Lovely place in the middle of nowhere VT/NH border region. Room was relatively clean and comfortable. Spotty cell service is supplanted by good Wi-Fi in the room.

Food was lackluster. Ribs were too sweet. Brussel sprouts were to salty. 2 different red wines were sour.

Wasn't there very long, just spent the day with my sister & her family. The staff seemed super nice and welcoming. Would have been 5 stars if they didn't tell us they didn't have a room available. The place seemed vacant when we were there.

We were very impressed with our accommodations. Although the website said we would have two queen beds in one room, and a king in the other. We actually only had one queen and one king. It did work out great due to the sofa sleeper. We had a great time in the pools and sauna. Kids played in the arcade room and our meal was wonderful in the restaurant. We even had live music! We are planning to stay again next year.

This resort is a hidden gem! Our 2-bedroom villa was huge, exceeded our expectations, and was more than enough room for the 5 of us. The entire staff was friendly and truly understands customer service. The restaurant food was excellent. In fact, the chef greeted us every night and welcomed any and all feedback on how he could serve us better. My kids loved the game room and movie theatre after skiing all day. The short (30 min) drive to Okemo was well worth it to come back to such a spacious and accommodating resort! We can't wait to go back!

Our building was just renovated. Plenty of room for our group of 10. The Wi-Fi was wonky and unreliable but we were there for R & R.

We enjoyed our day visit with family that was staying. Staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms were well maintained. We found the game rooms to be mostly out of order with broken equipment.

Lousy customer service at the front desk. Put as in a terrible room, no desk, no chair, part of the ceiling was low, kept hitting-my head when I got out of bed, tiny tub, no fridge, tiny TV, and charged us 300 per night. Yes everywhere else was sold out this weekend. I made my reservations 7 months in advance for this rate but I never expected to be put in the attic without room service. I at least expected a reduction in rate if they did not have proper rooms. Some paid the same rate and got a villa. Just poor service. A total rip off. The front desk person on check in acted like it was her first day. Unsupervised. When we returned to ask about our accommodations, the front desk person, basically said that they have a bad weekend overbooking and renovations going on. Why were we not told this in advance? Just poor service.

HICV always does it well. When the renos are done this place will be pretty nice.

We had a three bedroom loft, very clean. The resort was under renovation at the time. We had a problem with receiving phone calls thru the front desk. Also the staff were parking in front and the guest had to park where ever. I would come back once the renovations were all completed.

We stayed a couple of nights. The place was under renovation but our villa was great! Clean, updated. Very beautiful scenery. Great place to get away from it all for our anniversary.

We booked this resort for a week as it seemed to be a small ski mountain. Even the pictures show a ski lift with people on it. However the mountain has been closed since 2010 and there is nothing to do anywhere in the area. Well there was a very cool tubing hill about 20 minutes away in Claremont, NH. It is called Arrowhead and my kids had a great time for an hour there. Other than that there is really nothing to do. The rooms are excellent, the staff is so friendly, and the food in the restaurant is very good pub food. There is also a very small on-site arcade room and a game room with 2 pool tables. The pool is very nice but it is an Olympic size lap swimming pool with no hot tub or spa. It is not really meant for kids to play in as there are no slides, or waterfall or toys. They also advertise nightly fire pit with somoas but that is not accurate either as they said they don't have that in the winter. Overall I would give the cleanliness and room accommodation a 5 star. And the staff was so friendly and fantastic! But it is totally boring, we went home after only 3 nights and we had it booked for the whole week. Okemo is about 40 minutes away and is a great mountain but that is a long ride when we thought we were getting skiing right on-site. I hope they open the mountain again, and put some tubing and ice skating on-site. That would be excellent.

Not bad for a quick getaway.

Stayed there from July 18-July 21st for the Vermont 100 in a 3 bedroom villa/condo. While the resort/rooms are nice-I am giving a bad review as we were overcharged by $620 and it took numerous phone calls (to the corporate office as well) to get a refund-which still hasn't happened yet. Front desk seems less than competent as our cc's were used to pay for someone else's room after also being charged for the villa that we had rented.

We are here and having a fantastic time! I was hesitant because of some of the negative reviews, however I couldn't try to find something bad about this place! The front desk staff is informative, friendly and accommodating. They brought me extra towels, extra bedding and a pack and play all within the first hour of my arrival. The fitness center is clean, modern, and well maintained. The pool is clean and well maintained. Brown's Tavern is a bit pricey, but you really can't complain when you consider it is right on campus and the beer selection as well as the service are both great! The rooms are modern, tastefully decorated and lack absolutely nothing! Plenty of closet space, hangers, towels, a fully stocked kitchen; including a blender, coffee maker, toaster, and ice maker. There is a flat-screen TV mounted over the fireplace and a DVD player all set up. Wireless connection works fine for us. Just bring your clothes and prepare to enjoy the amazing views! We are heading down for free movie night in a little bit. I will update my post as we continue or visit. So far so good! I highly recommend this as a vacation destination and will certainly be returning soon.

Beautiful rooms, but miles from civilization which is not good if travelling for business. Cell service was practically non existant. Did not get any kind of confirmation after booking though charged in full immediately. Had to call HI 1-800 number to confirm. Staff was friendly, however, water spots all over living room carpet, so wet socks. Charged a $150 deposit on top of the fee when I checked in, which is bull. Charge for housekeeping to make up rooms unless you are checking out. Not a good experience. Beautiful rooms though.

We stayed there this weekend it was amazing I absolutely loved it. We are most deff coming back. Service was great and staff is wonderful. Rooms were big and clean. And everything is near by thanks to everyone and this resort.
