Great hotel! A break from the big chain hotels. Pet friendly and trucker friendly! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is welcoming! I will definitely stay again and highly recommend:)

99% positive they have bed bugs. Rooms looked clean, but DEFINITELY recommend anyone staying here to check the beds and furniture beforehand. Very sketchy people staying there, almost seemed as though they lived there. Only plus side was we could have our dogs.

Stayed here several times over the years. Rooms upgraded since the last time. Good value and convenient location.

It is ok if you need a place for a night. Rates aren't too bad. Located on Putney Rd in Brattleboro, VT. Rooms could be better. They do serve a continental breakfast.

My husband and I are travel nurses and were having the hardest time finding a place to stay in Brattleboro. When we found The Black Mountain Inn, we ended up staying even longer than we expected. Tina is the nicest person to greet you when you walk in the door, and Jerry is such a welcoming kitty. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast in the morning is simple, but healthy and delicious. There is a washer and dryer on site should you need a quick wash. All the staff are friendly and inviting. I would definitely recommend this Inn and would stay here again. Thanks for such a great visit you guys!

Room was very clean, comfortable, and the staff were extremely kind. I would stay again as well as recommend it above the other surrounding places to stay on this road… the lobby is beautiful and breakfast is generous.

Very happy with the room. The woman that I spoke with was extremely kind and helpful. Very clean and "homey". There is a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Doesn't get much better for an affordable motel.

Good stay, room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included bagels, english muffins, cereal, fruit, waffles, and hard boiled eggs. Good location a few minutes from main Street.

Great staff. Clean, comfortable rooms! Free breakfast every morning. Also had a Fantastic (homemade) Christmas dinner served to all the guests and their families on Christmas day… This hotel makes you feel right at home…

Great little spot 40 min from Mount Snow. Really good continental breakfast and the beds are quite comfortable. If a ski/snowboard on a budget and looking for a place to crash for a r the night. I would recommend it.

At sunrise the ridge's shadow from the NH side shutters parallel to the brilliant rise of dawn's rays along a nearly identical slope to the west with an opposite border of blue and cirrus pink and white.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms and complimentary breakfast. What's not to love? One of the cheapest places and still great.

The woman who owns it yelled at my 3 year old. She even suggested I leave him in the car while I check in. Which is illegal and dangerous. She charged me double her online price. She charged an exorbitant pet fee. I ended up just getting my money back and going to motel 6. Do not go here unless you want rude owners and over the top prices.

I very much enjoyed my stay here. Clean room and comfy bed. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Great mom and pop place. VERY friendly and helpful service. Clean room at a reasonable price. If you want a good, basic hotel with breakfast in the morning for a reasonable price this is for you! If you want all that fancy stuff that makes hotels crazy expensive then go spend more elsewhere. Me? If I'm lucky enough to be in the area again, I will stick with Black Mountain Inn.

Not sure if stars on hotels are supposed to mean satisfaction, price/value, or poshness, but I was very satisfied and think it was an excellent value for the money. While not "pristine" and "perfect" it was clean and comfortable. I had no problem feeling comfortable there. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

I stayed there 2 years ago, Awful place disgusting! Door came off the hinges to the bathroom. Room was filthy.

It was the best hotel I have ever stayd at we stayd in the hot tub room it was great we enjoyd are stay and its oneof the best hotels in brattlebro vt.

Must have driven past but no one stays there.

Eh… the owner is a good woman, but the hotel is kinda dumpy.

I feel they should of paid me? The was nasty oh my goodness! Every thing was dirty. Pull blank it back what I saw made me sick. Ok it was so late I stay. But use the bathroom to sleep :) like I said I should gotten paid to sleep there. :).

We went there only because a Saturday in the summer it is almost impossible to get much better at $ 90 with coupon for double. But the place is for strong stomachs, especially because of the smell of the rooms, the fatiscienza and the shady patrons who frequent it. Poor breakfast. Handler.

This is a comfortable budget motel. The owners are friendly and accommodating. The rooms have full size refrigerators and filters on the sink and shower to remove chlorine from the city water. This is a nice touch. The room was clean. The dining room had kids' games, crayons and paperbacks. It is clear that the owners put some thought into what would be helpful to a traveling family. The towels were clean. It is not as sparkling as some other hotels, but it is much less expensive than other hotels on the same street.

My Stay? I checked in around 2-3pm and left around 11:30 pm that nite! The place was so small. As soon as I opened up the door for the first time to go in the whole room smelled, and it was not from cleaning either. The bedspead had stains all over it on the under side, the blanket had cigg burns in it, the carpet made my feet black, and needed a good vacuming but really should be torn up and thrown out. The pillows should be condem, the toilet was dirty, saw things on it look like crabs. The bathtub had cigg burns on it, and the alarm clock radio did not work and the dust all over it was out of this world. The floor it self had a huge dip in it. At 1600.00 stay from September 8th to the 22nd, I think NOT! Health department should be called> And dog dropping smells outside of the room! O' and one more thing the remote for the TV was taped together and had cigg burns all over it! And the dresser draw's had bugs in it! Don't go there.

I dont recomend staying here. It is very old and I didnt sleep well here. It looks a lot nicer from the outside than the inside. Once you get inside. Its a different story. I recomend going into the room itself to take a look first.

We didn't even unpack. When we saw that the FULL SIZE, CRAPPY, OLD refrigerator had a handle held together with 2 Band-Aids, we knew it was time to leave.
