We had the most wonderful stay! We stayed in the Cabin In the Woods, it was purely magical! It was adorably decorated, private, clean and so comfortable! Full of character! We had a delicious dinner of wood fired pizza from The Italian Farmhouse Restaurant that was a 30 second commute from our doorstep. Breakfast at the Inn was wonderfully delicious, and was cooked and served by the kindest gentleman with great insight on the Inn’s history! The pool and hot tub were very relaxing! We highly recommend and will return again! Thank you to all the kind hard working staff who made our stay fantastic!

Recently left multiple messages for the spa, looking to book several appts for my Mom’s bday. They never called me back. I guess we’ll take our business somewhere else.

Rebranded red roof inn. Rooms smell. Beds are uncomfortable. They don’t tell you that you are booking this dump when you book the inn. Do better Common Man.

Very good food. We had a banquet with about 100 attendees and the servers were quick, polite and efficient. Clean and well lit.

The Spa is amazing. Staff is friendly and helpful. Historic building and grounds are pretty.
the only down fall to the stay was the bed was uncomfortable, like sleeping on a floor. Need to upgrade mattresses or invest in memory foam mattress toppers.

I visited the spa and the girls there are awesome. Painted fingernails and toes! They came out very nice. I could’ve done without the drilling of the renovations in the next room.

Always a favorite when coming to Plymouth. Reuben fritters, good drink and fun atmosphere. And love seeing Chuk!

Very neat place. We ate in the boiler room of the old mill building.

Over priced room compared to others around. Room was dirty. The bed was very uncomfortable. Jet tub had something growing out of the jets and the side cover was half assed put back on and falling off. Too many nicer places around to stay. Wont be back here.

My 10-year daughter and her friend had manicures this evening and they were treated like princesses. The staff went above and beyond to help them feel special. Thank you!

Went to the spa today for a pedicure, very calming atmosphere with a nice cozy fire, Staff was very pleasant.

My husband and I had our wedding at the common man this past October and we would recommend them over and over. The rooms were spacious & clean. The workers were very friendly, the food at the cafe and fosters was amazing, not to mention the service was phenomenal! Carolyn our coordinator was wonderful!

Extremely accommodating to those of us who travel with our pets. They provided a dog bed and even personalized dog cookies, pet towel, food and water bowls, and even a cover for the sofa! The separate "pet entrance" also made it easier to get our pups out for walks. Our room was HUGE and very clean. Also, great "included" breakfast. All the staff members we dealt with were very helpful and friendly.

We were there for my son's wedding reception, they done excellent job with the food and making sure everything was done to our expectations.

The restrooms were clean. The ambiance was touristy… It was a cattle call for the tourist train stop. Everyone at my table got soup. My seating was soupless. The place was called The Common Man. Yet the first class passengers disembarked first totally unfair to the common man.

Cozy, beautiful atmosphere, great food, friendly staff, comfy beds, clean Rooms, great place to bring kids, love the decor & history placed throughout the Inn. 5 — star rating highly recommended. Reasonable prices.

Nice full service spa with indoor pool, hot tub, and outside sunny patio. Dining room had tasty festive foods and helpful waitstaff. Out 2 floor suite with bathrooms up and down slept 8 people comfortably. Breakfast is combined buffet and made to order with a cheerful chef behind the counter. Great getaway place convenient to the highway.

Love this place! Wonderful atmosphere, refreshing spa and pool, and excellent food! Staff are friendly, accommodations ample, and the area/proximity to the White Mountains can’t be beat! I’ll be back very soon!

Went to the spa for manicures, pedicures and facials with my daughter. Beautiful space, great service.

I had the chicken pot pie. The crust on top was really good, but they undercooked the celery, which overpowered everything else. The carrots and chicken were fine, but the celery killed it. My wife had the brisket mac and cheese. The brisket was pretty good. But was quite plentiful enough.

Girlfriend and I left leaving valuables in the bathroom. An hour down the road we figured out we were missing them, called the inn, and turned around. Showed up and they were safely enclosed in a few plastic bags with no problems retrieving them. Great food, service, and people. Trustworthy and worth the visit.

We took my parents out for dinner and the five of us were all very happy about everything. It is hard to go to a place nowadays where everyone only has great things to say. The atmosphere was perfect and comfortable. Rustic and the people were very friendly and one the ball. Would most definitely go back.

Had a great dining experience. The steak was a little bit different (on the sweeter side) and not quite what my wife was expecting. I personally enjoyed it but my wife did not. Dawn and the management staff were very quick to check in and offer up something different. Because of this we had a very pleasant experience and a very enjoyable meal on our vacation. The staff is very friendly and well-trained!

Found the common man on Groupon. This place is absolutely perfect. The inn is very rustic & beautiful. All the homemade items they sell are great. The breakfast diner has an awesome cook who makes the experience that much better, thanks Tom! Dinner at the boiler room was very good & also had a great bartender & waitstaff. I stayed at the offsite cabin which was extremely peaceful. Will definitely be coming back!

Love the inn and all the staff. Especially Tom who makes such an awesome breakfast and his wife Dawn the best waitress in the restaurant. Food is great and it is definitely my home away from home when visiting my family and babysitting my grandson.

The common man was nothing but awesome. All the staff from the front desk to the bartenders and waitresses were all so friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. Our room was immaculate and really big. Loved the decor and rustic feel of the whole place. I wish I had more time to explore and enjoy your spa. Our time was limited. I look forward to staying here again and make sure to make my stay there longer and bring my pup!

Very accommodating and friendly staff. A wonderful aesthetic, with attention to detail. We went for a wedding, and basically packed the inn with our guests, and the staff were able to keep up with all of our requests and more. Didn't get to experience the spa, so I can't attest to it's quality, but it looks very professional with a decent selection of amenities.

Beautiful, well-appointed, gigantic room. Only stayed one night but had time to relax in the pool and hot tub and enjoy a fantastic dinner (both food and service were outstanding) at Foster's Boiler Room. Upon request the Inn staff set up a DVD player for my son at no charge so he could watch the movies he brought with him.

This place was divine. While waiting to be pampered with a spa pedicure, I lounged by the pool, took a dip in the hot tub, then got some Vitamin D in the light therapy room. I was blissed out when it was time to leave. I would come back here in a heartbeat for treatments.

I was attending a bingo vendor event and really enjoyed the venue. They had a cash bar and you could order food from Fosters boiler room which I recommend (great bacon and Bleu burger with hand cut fries). Would visit again.

I came here to get my hair and make up done as part of a large bridal party. The stylists were very professional and did an amazing job on everyone. Our hair and make up lasted the whole day and night.

The spa was well lighted and air conditioned. The decor was what I'd call rustic elegance. My aestitician was sociable just enough and did a great job with my pedicure. I will be back.

Very conveniently located right off the highway, well maintained facilities. The food is always good, and the staff is very friendly. They also have pet friendly rooms.

Set in a former wood mill, this upscale-rustic inn is located off of I-93 and is 0.7 miles from Plymouth State University. The Adirondack-style rooms and suites have free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Some rooms and suites add fireplaces and whirlpool tubs. The loft rooms also include minibars. A cabin has a full kitchen, living room with fireplace and dining room. Continental breakfast and parking are included. Dining options include a lounge and a cafe. There's an on-site spa with treatment rooms, a fitness center, a hot tub, sauna and an indoor heated pool. Meeting and event space, including a glass greenhouse, is available.

Nice place nestled just outside of town, walkable to Main Street if you don't mind a little bit of a hike. Not far from highway access. Rustic, fun interior decor (in the restroom, you'll hear a continual recording of quaint and quirky New England humor). I have not lodged there, but the restaurant is commendable (my first experience with sweet potato fries! ). The bar is nice (I had an unbeatable Front Porch Lemonade), with an extensive menu. Conference rooms great for gatherings, parties, etc.

Fosters Boiler Room is a must visit anytime I'm in the area. Deviled egg appetizer, wedge salad and steak tips are some of my favorites! Love the "Squam Room" when I stay there overnight.

The outstanding 'historic storyboard' of this old mill, the logging and lumber industry, and life as a New England settler runs throughout the common areas and greatly enhances the charm of this old wood mill that was brought back to a new life. Comfortable modern rooms with an antique flair, good food that is not overly pricey, and good people providing excellent service on several occasions. Good job Mr. Ray!

Friendly accommodating staff helped the organization I volunteer on put on our best fundraising event to date. Lovely venue, delicious food, fair pricing. Would book again.

The true measure of an establishment is how many out of state people come here. I see cars from all over the Eastern seaboard here. A great local stay to be pampered.

Food is awesome. I live in NH and every time I have company this is our favorite place. The mgr brought us over a sample of home made chips that were dressed. Thank you, see you soon.

Stopped in the bar for lunch — great rustic vibe. Had the homemade veggie & portebella burger, which was just awesome! The bartender and host were very nice. Quick service despite being rather busy in a lunch rush. Will definitely go here again!

Food was delicious! Quick and pleasant service with a very friendly waitress. The Reuben fritters are absurdly tasty, and their version of a breakfast burger is next level. The steak fries are quite tasty as well, but I wasn't a huge fan of the sweet potato fries to be honest. Alcohol choices were plentiful but the drink I got tasted a little weaker than expected. Not bad though. Went with a friend who had a discount, so the price was very reasonable as well. Would recommend.

I visited the spa and the services were amazing. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The pool and sauna facility was incredible. It felt like a true day vacation. I wish I know my masseuse bc she was amazing. The restaurant on site was also clean and the food was excellent. I cannot wait to return.

Exhibited at the White Mountain Comic-Con this weekend. It is an absolutely lovely place with friendly staff. The downside is that despite promised security, I had a bunch of merchandise stolen from my table overnight. Hopefully in the future they will lock doors or increase patrols. I would probably still get a room at the Common Man, it's very lovely!

Spent one night at the Inn. Girlfriend had appointment at spa, she said that was good. The food at Fosters Boiler Room was not as good as expected. Almost like they tried to fancy it up in places they didn't need. Room was nice. Was roomy and bed and pillows we're amazing. Pool and hot tub are tiny. The pictures of the history of the place all across the building was a great touch. Overall, I would not stay again for the price. Food, I will probably try again, and the spa she will go back.

Got to visit this place as a part of the Meredith fall train tour. The train ride is great in itself, and lunch at the Common Man adds to the experience. Original rustic look, well maintained, and great options at the lunch buffet. Totally worth it!

We spent the day at the spa with a group of 10 girls, each with two appointments. Everything was highly organized and the decor of the spa was so quaint. The staff were knowledgeable and very talented. I would return for sure and I highly recommend the common man!

We had to move an outside cookout to an inside party for 50 people, last minute do to the rain. They were able to accommodate us before a wedding was going to use the big function room, staff was like no problem! We used the smaller room with cash bar, and taco bar, and we had a great time!

We stayed in the "camp" suite & it was amazing. The whole inn was just beautiful. Lots of things to look at & do onsite. The Boiler Room restaurant had great food at reasonable prices. We'll definitely go back again l.

Don't believe the hype. No open time slots at the spa for hotel guests. Call ahead if you actually want to use the Spa at the Inn & Spa. Then they acted like I was stupid for expecting access to the spa at the Inn & Spa. "Well — it is July" I was told. Do they serve hamburgers at McDonald's in July? Then did nothing to try to accommodate me, no one carried luggage or stocked the bathroom with a fresh roll of TP. Two thumbs down. Especially for the price and service. Lower your expectations to Motel 8 and you'll be fine.

Most adorable little inn and restaurant ever. The servers were friendly and the food was amazing. I went with my student council after a trip to the national Student council conference. There were over 100 of us and we were limited by time. The food was ready when we got there and they had cans of soda and a private room for us. It was decorated as if it was a wedding reception. Over all it was beautiful and the food was amazing.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've ever seen, and I live in Las Vegas and have seen all the hotels being a fireman there and this is awesome. It has all the amenities and a nice comfortable country setting.

The food is great, and not your typical fare. Where else can you find a Duck Melt sandwich? The wait staff are efficient and cheerful!

We stayed in the bunk room. We really enjoyed our time at the pool and definitely enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was fantastic. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We went for a late lunch in the tavern. Service was excellent the food was relatively good. The atmosphere and decor is very unique the restaurant is in a restored portion of an old mill and contains a lot of historic photos.

This restaurant was outstanding, mainly because of the hospitality of the hosting staff. The atmosphere is relaxing and friendly and the ambiance is warm. What a pretty place with the cozy rooms, lighting, and fireplace, too. Check out the writing on the bathroom walls too. This place is just different and fun.

We were there for two nights and everything was wonderful. The rooms and the entire facility are very clean and maintained. The food was good. I would like to also like to give an extra compliment to two employees. Shelly at the front desk and Emma that works in Foster's boiler room. They both went above and beyond to have conversation with us and make us feel at home. Great job ladies and what a great experience we had.

Great facility. Went with my mom and both of us had the skin of our fingers / toes painted rather than nails. They don't care because you are going for the spa environment. Seams like they hire ppl right out of school or new to using nail polish.

Wonderful place for a wedding or an elopement. The entire staff made us feel welcome and were so happy for us. They were very accommodating, refrigerated our cake and bouquets, and let us take photos everywhere. Beautiful decor, fun Cabin Room. Can't wait to go back.

What a treasure for the community, and for visitors. We stayed here several times before we purchased our home, and were welcomed by the warmth and kindness of the staff. The rooms were wonderfully furnished, with comfortable bedding, and the a. M. Breakfasts were wonderful. Now that we're "locals", we enjoy the wonderful Common Man Spa, and the food at Foster's Boiler Room restaurant (check out the Monday night deals).

This place was amazing! I went on a shop til you drop weekend with my mom sister and auntie. The package was resonably priced and great to the last drop! We had a limo great lunch in the limo. Then hot tub time! then Dinner and a great nights sleep. Woke up to continental b-fast and 1 1/2 hours of spa treatments per person! This was heaven and we are planning round 2 soon! Dont hesitate book your trip now! So much worth it! Great staff I cannot say enough to make this place sound as great as it was.

Be very careful of the hotels cancelation policy. They require 3 days notice if you are canceling your stay. I found out this weekend was Spring Fling (a big party weekend) at the college and called to cancel. They told me I had to pay in full for the room. I told them I could understand keeping the deposit, but they said I owed them the full room rate and Tina at the front desk was very rude about the whole affair. I have been staying at the Inn since they built it and this was my first bad experience. We decided to stay and had a great time. Just be careful if something comes up and you need to reschedule or cancel your stay.
