A very lovely, historic spot on Kezar Lake. Accommodations were clean and rooms had some thoughtful touches like face clothes to remove makeup and hair dryers. Breakfast is to die for! Dennis is a masterful chef! He is gracious and kind. Second time back this summer. We enjoyed the lake — swimming and kayaking in the sun. I will definitely be back again. Just beautiful.

Always love coming back here, it is peaceful, very relaxing, Dennis (the owner) is a very thoughtful and down to earth man who makes an amazing complainentary breakfast. Free use of bikes, canoes, paddle boats, hammocks etc… we like to stay at a lot of places but we always find our way back here, come give it a stay, you won't be disappointed!

My family hosted my baby shower at the Follansbee Inn this past weekend and it was really lovely! The Inn catered the shower providing delicious sandwiches, scones, and a full coffee station — our guests raved about the food! Especially the cranberry-orange scones. The sitting room and dining room provided a cozy, comfortable space with elegance and the perfect amount of rustic-New Hampshire charm. Highly recommend!

The Follansbee Inn is everything you would ever want in a New England bed-and-breakfast. A quiet area on the lake, a beautiful building, tastefully furnished with picturesque views from every window, a hearty and delicious breakfast in a friendly, communal dining room (or an intimate table for two, if you prefer, ) a knowledgeable innkeeper with helpful, competent staff. We stayed for 4 nights for a family reunion, and it was a great choice for convenience, service and quality. Highly recommended!

Loved our stay at Follansbee! Our room had a beautiful view of the lake, our breakfasts were delicious and unique (pecan carmelized bacon❤❤❤), and we could thoroughly enjoy yourself. Whether sitting on the front porch swing, relaxing in the common room, and sitting by the lake, the peace and quiet the Inn offered was restorative and appreciated.

Once I Found this place I realized what a gem it is. So far I tried three seasons there. Love swimming in the lake, using their kayaks, canoes and bicycles. Then in winter walked on the frozen lake and went snowshoeing. Others people might try going to the region’s ski areas. They have a variety of rooms where each have their own character. Best of all I love their filling and tasty breakfast meals. No TV, very quiet, but good Wi-Fi if you must stay connected.

We discovered this beautiful inn when we were visiting our sick uncle in hospice care this past July. It was a wonderful discovery since it is an oasis from the every day hustle and bustle of life! It is situated right next to the beautiful Kezar Lake and the rooms are luxurious and the morning breakfasts are out of this world! Prepared by a true chef, this Innkeeper prepares these hearty gourmet breakfasts that fill you up for the day! And the hospitality is tremendous as Denis is truly the best Innkeeper in this country! Come here during any season of the year, as we have experienced summer, fall and now winter! Lots of things to do or just sit back and relax! This place is a true hidden gem! We give it the highest rating of 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

In my visits to Follansbee Inn — twice with my 3 children and once with a lady friend — everything has been perfect. Each morning starts with a unique, delicious, and filling hot breakfast, plus homemade granola and fresh fruit. Denis is an amazing cook and caring host! Also, the inn is located on Lake Kezar, and a summer stay includes use of kayaks, canoes, bikes, and lounge chairs on the private beach. We could also walk easily to Wadleigh State Park and Vernondale General Store. In winter, we walked on the frozen lake, skiied at nearby Ragged and Sunapee Mountains, and played games in front of the woodstove. We have also met terrific guests, all of whom were as happy as we were to have chosen Follansbee!

I wish there were more stars! As this place is so awesome. Clean and the food oh the food is heavenly. Most peaceful place I have been.

My husband and I booked a last minute overnight and drove up from Boston during a heatwave. Rode their bikes around Kezar then Marinated ourselves at their waterfront and slept great in the cool room. Loved all the different seating areas and the character of the house. Denis and Angel are wonderful hosts and make really, really good coffee!

Quaint place to stay, bicycling, kayaking, swimming and tons to do at this wonderful inn! Denis was a great host, and the breakfast was wonderful, highly recommended. The doorkeeper angel is just the best dog ever!

What a great place. We went in a group, had a few drinks and chatted with the family in the living room in addition to playing a friendly game of cribbage. The rooms are wonderful. The Inn is full of that early century charm. Can't wait to go back.

Follansbee Inn is a true gem. The decor is to die for old New England cute, the staff are amazingly friendly, and the food is out of this world. Let me emphasize that last point again: breakfast and dinner were some of the best meals I'd eaten all year. The chef/owner is a wizard in the kitchen, and so any meal that he cooks is going to be better than anything you can find outside of an absurdly expensive restaurant. When we were there, breakfast the first day was delicious angel rolls (folded into dozens of layers and chilled overnight for the perfect combination of fluffy and surface crunch), fresh blackberries and pineapple, pecan-covered bacon, and an excellent omelette with bacon and mushrooms. Dinner was an outstanding chicken gumbo soup and salad with the perfect amount of bacon crumbs and blue cheese. Breakfast the second day was outstanding walnut waffles with strawberries and bananas (and real maple syrup of course). Seriously, this place is amazing. If I could give a single business 6/5 stars in a year, it would be this one.

Very local bed and breakfast. Very homey and a great way to enjoy the area. It is an older house so expect creakiness and no TV's but a nice get away!

October 2017 — My wife and I spent two nights at the Inn and it was a joy. Having spent a fair time in the Sunapee area I wanted to bring my wife back to New England since she's never been. The Inn maintains it's New England country charm and Denis the owner is the main reason. He maintains the Inn superbly and provides a very comfortable, relaxing stay. Angel is the greeter and she does a marvelous job herself making everyone feel at home. Denis, we thank you. We loved the breakfasts and we love your In. We will be back. Doug & Mary.

Comfortable, historical but not old, original art adorns the walls, food is high end, yummy and satifying, we availed ourselves of the kayaks to explore the lake and get a closer look at the eagles on the island and the beaver damn up the stream. We will be going back.

My wife and I have stayed at the Follansbee Inn in August and September this year on a total of 5 night's and we love It! Denis and Angel are great hosts. Denis makes an awesome breakfast every day and each day it is different. Our favorite room is the Rylee Rose room over looking lake Kezar. This is becoming our favorite place. We will be back. Sutton is a nice quiet town and everyone in the area is so friendly. Mark and Carrie Ryan Nashua NH.

Beautiful B&B that was very clean with a friendly staff. They offered local honey products for sale. Situated right on a gorgeous mountain lake, they also offered free use of canoes, kayaks, a peddle boat, and bikes (complete with oars and paddles, life vests and bike helmets). The room was very cozy with a comfy bed and plenty of pillows.

Great Inn. Maintained very well, It has a cozy and rustic feel to it. It's located right opposite the lake shore. The Innkeeper is very friendly and helpful plus serves an amazing Breakfast. Excellent place for a romantic getaway.

The Follansbee Inn is a great place to stay. Dennis is a wonderful host. Breakfast was great. There are canoes, kyacks, and paddle boats available on the lake. I will visit again.

Beautiful luxurious old world place with a wonderful friendly owner. Even my children rave about this place.

Bring your outdoor clothes — you will spend lots of time on the lake! My husband and I stayed here for three nights in June. Denis has anticipated every interest. We did everything from going on the lake (he provides an array of canoes, kayaks, row boats and paddle boats), to walking the 3-mile road around the lake, to sitting inside playing games, to just sleeping in the hammock that is right next to the lake. Additionally, there are several bicycles for you to use though we did not use them ourselves. You'll be glad that the activity causes you to work up an appetite because the breakfast is spectacular. Denis provides a breakfast that is nutritional (not hum-drum continental cereals and croissants — we're talking REAL food), beautifully displayed, and cooked to perfection. You get to eat in a lovely dining room with place settings, so you feel like you are being pampered every morning. While we were not traveling with small children, I did see other families that were quickly accommodated for with booster seats and child-friendly dishes and cereals. So, there is something for everyone once again. Our room was very clean and had a large bathroom. There were plenty of places to sit and store your items, and we never felt cramped or uncomfortable. Denis does have free Wi-Fi that works well. There are no TVs as fitting for such a relaxing place. The inn itself is a sight to behold as it dates back to the early 1800s.

Has a wonderful stay here for my husband's birthday. Great relaxing setting, delicious breakfasts, and cozy sitting room with fire. We made good use of the bikes and boats they make available free for guests.

This is a beautiful gem of an old inn! It is well maintained and decorated in fine taste. There are gorgeous antiques and yet, it is all very comfortable! We traveled with six adults and two small children and we were welcomed. The inn keepers and owner are wonderful and WOW — the breakfast! You will not be disappointed! The lake is right across the street and there are two state parks within walking distance, a cute-as-a-button general store and a farm property. This location worked for both the kids and the adults.

Fantastic Inn, beautiful old house, Lake, fireplace, big common areas, really friendly folks running it. And the breakfast is delicious! Its also really reasonable. No reason not to go there.

Just got back from a wonderfully relaxing weekend at Follansbee Inn. I had bought a gift certificate for my husband for our anniversary. We stayed in the Rylee Rose Room which had a nice view of the lake. The Inn is beautiful, the town and surrounding towns are lovely and the Innkeepers are friendly and attentive.
