One of the dirtiest places we've ever stayed. Couldn't sleep cuz the neighbors couldn't turn down the T. V. Or shut up all night. Price was to high for the conditions. Dont ever go there… q-tips behind the nightstand cigarette burns all over the bedspread. Pool full of dirt and weeds. Burn holes in the lampshade. Come on go to the dollar store and get a new one for Pete's sake… slept with ALL my clothes on dont trust the rooms at all… ok rant over.

Absolutely atrocious! Disgusting. Seedy. Awful. The internet doesn't work longer than 5 minutes at a time. The pictures do not do it justice. There is dried BLOOD on the wall next to and ON the nightstand. The pillowcases are brown. The carpets are stained with who knows what, and pretty sure there is black mold near the a/c. There are two disabled smoke detectors on a shelf. What was I supposed to do with that bench? The bathroom. The toilet seat had not been cleaned, I'll leave it at that. The sink looks nasty. The shower is worse. There is some kind of blue liquid seeping into the drain, and I don't even want to know what that blob is back in the corner. I'll be taking a shower at the gym tomorrow. I tried to cancel my reservation prior to even coming here, but was informed I would still pay full price. Worst money I have EVER spent. Do not stay here. Sleep in your car. Keep driving. No no no!

Basic Courtyard amenities which are always pretty reliable and generally comfortable. Bed was especially nice. Starbucks coffee in the lobby. Has a pool but unfortunately did not partake.

People are very friendly. Very reasonable price. The building looks old but very well maintained.

Nice and clean room, friendly owner, cafe beside the motel. It's awesome.

Wish there were no stars. Booked on Expedia a king size room. I paid and it took them 3 different rooms moving us until they got us a king after saying they ran out. Bathroom tubs are painted and no shower heads. The king room had no bathroom mirror in it One of the rooms had trash every where and the sink had mold and a terrible smell. The room finally with the king the "central air" is a small ac that barely cools the room. Only have 3 channels on the tv. No refrigerator in king size. And their free internet was so slow that my phone times out from thinking. I only am staying because I can't get refund. I feel dirty staying here and like they steal my money. They have an outdoor pool but filled it with dirt and the owner keeps a personal garden in it. With 40 dollars a night at most. Please don't fall for the 70 dollars deal. You will be very disappointed.

Old and musty, but everything worked fine. A/c was great, the room was clean, and it was a decent price. The shower pressure wasn’t great and there were burn holes on the carpet and comforter. However, for the price, it wasn’t bad. The staff were friendly, although a bit odd.

I am generally a positive person. I travel alot for business and stay at alot of hotels. But this place is a complete and total ****hole. Words cannot describe the levels of filth and grime in this place. Attached are photos of how I got the room. Don't believe me check out the reviews here and on Yelp.

Loved the East Indian family that runs the place. Delightful stay.

The price was fair compared to rates around town, the room was clean and really enjoyed the space in the bathroom.

Do not come here, pay the extra 10 dollars for a motel 6. I did not feel safe, there are drug dealers everywhere. There is no deadbolt lock, just a knob with a key that get stolen all the time. The owner told me that they get a new key instead of replacing the lock so anyone could get in. The Wi-Fi doesn't work. The outdoor pool is filled with dirt for a super creepy garden.

The place is okay and fair pricing. However, when I came to the owner about possible mold in the room my father was placed in, I did not recieve much response or care. Is one of those that value money over residents.

Service was alright, the guys were nice. The room wasnt in the best shape though. The bathroom door was crooked and didn't shut. The shower was huge, but the paint was coming off of the floor of it. Would have rather spent $20 more for a better motel or hotel if I had known how run-down Essex was.

It is very difficult to find cheap hotels in Denver. Fortunately, we have Essex House in nearby Littleton starting at $70. Spacious clean rooms. Across from good eats All that is needed for a one-night stay. No luxuries needed.

Rooms were decent. Coula use more amenities though.

This place is HORRIBLE! No kidding Should be bulldozed, completely removed. Filthy — full of drug dealers — Yek — — Yuk — throwup. Stay away!

Its not as bad as the reviews say no bugs not durty a little loude because by the main street but good for what its worth☺

Rooms were filthy. Attendants were rude. We were barely out the door, and they were looking to see if we left anything… we left it cleaner than when we got there. Sketchy looking people all around too. Not worth the money at all.

I am sure the Essex House USED TO BE trashy and flea-ridden. No longer. Hang staying in a number of Denver's hotel/motels in the past few weeks, o can honestly say that it is the best value around, dollar-for-dollar, pound-for-pound. No, there is no internet cafe, fitness center or 24 hour concierge. But the best for rooms are clean, and the other guests I have met here are friendly, helpful and certainly interesting. The proximity to Santa Fe and Hampden Mickey getting anywhere a breeze. There are several nice, casual restaurants right across the street. Including a LaMar's Donut Shop. (Damn, they're good! ) Downtown Littleton is just a five-minute walk away, offering a variety of shops, services, and dining. There is no reason to spend two, three or four times more to stay in a sterile high-rise and never even seeing your neighbors, much less getting to know them and their stories.

Nothing fancy. Spacious room. Bathroom can be better. Stayed for one night.

Anyone that has ever seen Motel Hell will get a kick out of this joint: The swimming pool is filled with dirt for this creepy garden. And this little boy who hangs out with the maintenance man all day yells at the guests things his parents are saying — as little kids are wont to do. That alone is funny stuff, delightfully awkward. Except his eyes are haunted and weird, like someone who has seen too much at 50. Only this dude is like 5, tops. And he didn't sound so much like a parrot, but more like a crow. Maybe his parents are making people into chili, or maybe a little kid shouldn't wander around a cheap motel on the highway barking at people like a sawed-off prison guard if he's going to be anything but that. But what the hell, it sure is an interesting study in people.

Decent spot but was only here for one night. It more than served its purpose as a quiet spot for a night and was clean.

The reception man is very helpful, but the rooms are disappointed, and it doesn't deserve this price.

No heater during the blistering cold winter, Wi-Fi speed is bogged down to a crawl making it useless, rooms smell like sour curry, shower drain was clogged, rooms are 20 feet from a busy and loud highway and last but not least, after staying for 3 nights, I glance down at my arms… Bed bug bites everywhere! Someone needs to shut this place down… And fast.

It was good and cheap a simple room nomas lack the shampoo and soap but it was Akgo Barrato.

The owner was very helpful and nice. The hotel is a bit noisy but the price was really low. At the offered price that's probably the best we could get. Still rooms for improvement though.

I recommend you here if you: 1. Are a bed bug biologist 2. Have a fetish of smoke smell 3. Really love to pay high price for something that never deserves it Otherwise spend your night in your car or Denver union station.

They will take from your room when you are not there thiefs and who knows what else.
