Everything! Staff is amazing! The drivers to the wait staff to the front desk! The people that complain are either trust fund kids or never worked in hospitality. Hospitality has been hardest hit during this time. Hard to find help that are willing to work the front line if a disease that is invisible until you have symptoms! They solved every problem that occurred! Guess what, nothing is perfect right now but the staff stepped up and delivered 110% in the end! I’m a bartender and I appreciate everything they did for us. Thank you! It was a great time!

Luxury accommodations with a view. Nantucket at its finest. Friendly, helpful, and extremely considerate staff. If you want a Nantucket experience outside of downtown, this is the place. Also the hotel offers bus shuttle service and water taxis to downtown as part of your stay.

Relax, take the weight of the world off your shoulders and come to Wauwinet. Peerless design (no really) beautiful gardens, this removes but not too remote sanctuary offers everything for a quiet holiday with style. The linen is exquisite cotton and the bathrooms are superb. The sky is big here.

The Wauwinet is such a spectacular seaside inn. We so enjoyed sitting on the lawn watching a phenomenal sunset. We had dinner at Toppers on the deck tonight… ask for Larry. He is exceptional. Our suite is wonderful and the staff is amazing. Enjoy!

Classy and beutiful. Two private beaches: one on the Atlantic side one and one on the sound. Shuttle to town. Private boat tours to and from the town. Excellent service. Good food. Very expensive.

Had a great lunch there with my nephew and his wife who have been going there for 21 years.
That's a pretty good recommendation in itself.

The food was great and the wine list out of this world. The best view on the island.

This is a place you come to retreat, celebrate and enjoy life in the Nantucket environment, way out of town peaceful and lovely.

Whoever gave this hotel more than 2 stars, have never ever ever been to a descent hotel. The beds are horrible, no elevator, the carpets are dirty, the bathroom is soooo small, the decoration is the cheapest, the bar is a joke. There is no pool, the TV is maybe 32”… again, The beds are horribleee… the closets are so small you can not even fit a carry on bag. Food is so overpriced. Remember you are paying over $1000.00 for the smallest and most uncomfortable room you will probably stay in your life. And thats the cheapest in this hotel. Believe me I have been in many hotels. In average 15-20 different hotels a month, All year long This wauwinet is maybe a 1-2 stars hotel anywhere else in the US or maybe a 3 star MOTEL. Ps: my opinion is completely objective.

A bit dated but great food and service, remote location in a beautiful area of the island.

One of the finest experiences we've had as traveling family! Very professional/accommodating and cheerful staff. Grounds are peaceful + elegant. Toppers = wonderful food — service. Thanks for great experience this week.

I am disappointed that The Wauwinet fell short of my expectations. I never write negative reviews but I feel very compelled to do so just to let other newlyweds know that it may not meet their expectations either. My husband and I stayed there this past September right after we were married. Granted, the weather was pretty bad as Hurricane Jose was headed up the coast. Cape Air didn't send my luggage with me on our flight so when we arrived at The Wauwinet I asked the front desk for a toothbrush (I didn't get my luggage until the following day). They said they didn't think they had any, but would check. They never got back to me. I also thought they may do something because we excitedly shared we were just married, but they barely congratulated us. Then, they woke us up at 8:00AM on the morning of our departure to clean the room even though checkout wasn't until 11:00AM. The icing on the cake was that weeks later, we learned my husband's sister actually called the hotel, arranged to pay for the stay as our wedding gift, and asked that there be a card and message surprising us with this… we were given no message. I was mortified when she reached out and asked if my credit card had been charged too and explained the gift. We hadn't thanked her yet. I've stayed at 5 star hotels across the U. S. And this was my worst experience at one. The lack of hospitality and service was surprising and disappointing. I would not recommend it to anyone. It's not worth the high price.

My wife and I stayed here summer 2015 for three nights and it was wonderful. Summer 2017 we returned and it was again fantastic except that in the intern they had updated their in-room thermostat controls to "motion sensor" units. Three nights in a row I went to sleep with the room temperature perfect and then woke up sweating in the middle of the night. When I sat up in bed, all of a sudden the air conditioning for sprang to life. I'm sorry but for over $800 a night I should be able to have the room set to whatever temperature I damn well please. I sent an email to the GM and he never got back to me so here is my review. Don't stay here if it's hot outside and feel free to call me anytime GM.

Lovely setting and always an enjoyable place to have cocktails.

We went to The for restaurant week and the food was amazing. The servings were good size and the staff was kind and attentive.

The location, excellent service by the staff, food at Toppers and rooms are fantastic. My complaints are about the less than restful nights sleep we got there because of the noise levels. The AC was on and off all night. The doors out of guest rooms to the hallways close very loudly. Also, oddly enough, the commodes flush incredibly loud, enough to hear them WHOOSH all through the building at night. Lastly, they allowed a dog to stay over as well and it was barking! No sleep for us!

Expensive, but an incredible location and beautiful property. Food & drinks were great! Good place to do something special.

A gorgeous and secluded hotel from the action in town on Nantucket. The Wauwinet has exceptional views and facilities, and is a great place to escape — especially for couples.

It was a rainy Saturday when we arrived for brunch at Topper's. However, our food didn't disappoint. Service was very prompt and friendly, and the food was marvellous. I'd definitely return on a day with better weather for another meal on the lawn instead.

A rainy afternoon turned into delightful lunch. My husband and I stopped in to from a day of driving around the island anjoyingmnay views. We stepped into the Inn and the fireplace was going (yes it is July), soft lighting throughout creating a romantic afternoon. We dined and were welcomed immediately. My husband had the shrimp and grits. Excellent to say the least! I had to Waygu burger and it was so flavorable and cooked exactly how I ordered it. Service was spot on and our waitress was smiling and fun. Highly recommend. Ended with sitting in the formal living area enjoying the fire and delightful conversation with a few guests.

My King Superior room is spacious and comfortable. The staff here is excellent and friendly.

An island within an island. Super peaceful and picturesque. Expensive but no "nickel and dime" behaviour — water bottles, bikes, pastries and coffee breakfast, port and cheese hour, etc all included. We normally like to bounce around Nantucket town and beaches but here we were more than content staying on the property until dinner (free transportation to town). Just the best. Very Zen.

Great biker hangout! I spent a night at the hostel in Surfside and was riding around Nantucket, last week, on a Tuesday afternoon, and came upon the Wauwinet Resort. I parked my motorcycle out front and popped in for a beer. Not finding the front door, I just walked around to the left, thru the dining patio, and easily found the bar. People were very polite and stopped talking as I passed thru. One of the waiters, who must've been concerned for my well being, looked at me as if I was lost. I nodded I wasn't. The bartender was super friendly and didn't annoy me with any chit chat. The parking lot can accommodate many motorcycles and I've recommended it to the Bashibazouks as a watering hole for their rally & ride next Summer.

In general a great experience would definitely go back.

You can enjoy the beautiful sights and activities of Nantucket without spending so much money on food here.

Absolutely Beautiful! Everything was stunning from the Hotel, to the views, to the employees. The most amazing vacation location I have ever been too! Will definitely be vacationing here again! Highly recommended!

The Wauwinet is a wonderful Oceanside Inn with a great beach, a gorgeous setting, superb personal service and excellent dining at its 5-star restaurant. I definitely recommend it for your vacation on Nantucket Island.

While the Wauwinet is gorgeous, make sure you allot half a day for dining. After a long day at the beach, we wanted a great meal, which it was, however, it literally took us 4 hours from sit down to payment. We had to lie to the waiter and tell him that we had plans in town because we ran out of things to say! haha. I will probably never return to this establishment, between the stuffy atmosphere and the long wait for the food, (TINY portions) and outrageous prices, it's not all its cracked up to be. Sorry folks, just my opinion!
