I now live in Florida but come home to Boston twice a year. When I was young Dad and I would go to lunch here, so special. The Hotel is a step in to the past when things were so gorgeous, the art work, decor and the staff. I had lunch over looking the Old City Hall so cool. The service was attentive and the Fish and Chips delicious. Thank you being a classy hotel, in a time when hotels have nothing but glass and no service.

Overall my stay at the Omni Parker House was fine. It is an old, formerly elegant hotel (which I like) but they have a problem with their fire alarm system. This is the second time that I have stayed there (the other was 2006) and both times we were awakened in the middle of the night and had to evacuate our rooms. I am guessing that this is not a coincidence, and that it happens more frequently than once every 12 years. Other than that, it was a good place for a meeting. The service was good and the food was excellent.

Our family stays in your hotel a couple times per year when we visit our son. We love the location and historic nature of the hotel. It is not the newest hotel in Boston, quite the contrary, it is likely as old as it gets. Yet, the staff are terrific, the rooms are clean, and the location is the best in town. On this trip, I had a freak accident while at the Boston Calling Show and ruptured my right knee quad tendon. This is a very serious and time sensitive injury which requires surgery asap and we had to leave a day early to get to my orthopedic surgeon in Rochester, New York which was some 6 hours away. From the moment me and my family (we had two rooms) arrived at the Omni Parker, they went above and beyond to do everything they could do to help us with ice, room service, valet service, and didn’t charge us for the second night. They would charge a late checkout fee, but that was more than fair. What impressed me most is how the senior team didn’t bat an eye when we described the seriousness of our situation and how we would need to leave early. Most hotels would say “sorry, you have to pay for the night either way”. We have always had a terrific experience at your hotel, but this special situation and how the employees of the Omni Parker House went above and beyond for me was unbelievable.

Our 4 day stay began with the disappointing news that we would not be able to modify the last day of our stay… that we could choose not to stay but would be charged for the final night whether or not we used the room. I mistakenly thought 72 hours notice would be enough to cancel one night. The room itself was extremely small but we can live with that — it's an old hotel in a city. However, it seems the Omni Parker House's best days might be behind it. The room had quite a bit of deferred maintenance. Some of the bathroom fixtures were rusting, the cheap plastic baseboard trim was loose (removable) instead of being properly affixed (or better yet, being wood). Overall, it appeared tired. I've stayed at this hotel a couple of times in the past and sought it out to return but over that intervening six or seven years, the quality has diminished. Great location but for the next trip to Boston, I will definitely choose to stay elsewhere.

This place is really nice. Makes me think of the hotel on The shining. The big issue that I am having with this hotel is the amount of money that I paid in relation to the size of the room that I received. The room that I am in is not an inexpensive one by any means yet it can barely hold the king size bed along and desk and desk. I have very little space to walk inside the room. If you're looking for something a bit more spacious then I'd recommend either the Westin Copley or the Liberty Hotel for nearly the same price in the city.

No flexibility. It's all complicated. The rooms are much smaller than the pictures. The only good thing is the lunch buffet.

Great place to stay. Location is ideal, right on the freedom trail. Just follow the trail back to the hotel. Worked every time for us! The rooms are very small which is to be expected in an historic hotel that has been modernized. The internet is a bit pricey unless you sit in the lobby. We just used our personal hot spot on my cell which worked just fine. Everyone was super friendly.

Overall a nice but aging hotel. Service is excellent. Has an old-world charm to it, feels like 50-70 years ago it was really nice, but it rode a fine line between charming and dingy/old. My room was fairly small as well, but very comfortable bed. Good shower/water pressure, and mirror didn't fog up (minor appreciated detail).

Stopped in for drinks and a bite. Home of the original Boston Creme Pie and Parker House rolls — — how can one resist? The hotel is an elegant throwback with the lobby retaining its air of grandeur. Drinks thoughtfully crafted, service attentive and efficient and the pie was quite tasty … only knock was the rolls were cold.

Great location. Very helpful staff. We were in town for the marathon, and could not have been happier with our choice. We did upgrade from the Deluxe room to Executive Suite. I could see where the Deluxe could be considered small. If it were just my wife and I, we would not have upgraded. We had our 7-year old daughter with us, and the larger room was perfect. And kudos for the night delivery of a cookie and milk for our daughter. You won her over for sure!

I have enjoyed several stays at this establishment. For those of us who enjoy lodging with tradition, this hotel has the goods. A very quiet bar combined with a more open-concept bar in addition to a more formal dining room makes staying in, especially during inclement weather, a viable option. The bedrooms tend to be smaller in keeping with earlier hotels but I view them as very inviting for single travelers or couples. Very conveniently located downtown/close to T stops. Definitely not a cookie-cutter style of hotel as now often found on the East coast.

Not very spacious room. Very well kept, almost a museum, with wood panelling, and very nice bed heads.
Exorbitant breakfast cost, $26 plus service fee, about $32 total. Historical hotel, it seems almost to return in the years 60, and to live in the television series "The Kennedy"…

Fantastic hotel. Great location less than 1/2 block from Park St subway system. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Room was quaint but cozy. Highly recommend.

The staff was very clean and the location was very good and the service was very nice and friendly.

1-seat bed for 2 adults! A four-star scandal. No noise because you hear everything that happens in the rooms next door.

Customer Service was excellent! Introducing themselves prior to my stay. Answering my questions. Concierge was fantastic! Was given a corner room. Great view. Room was small, but perfect for a weekend getaway in the oldest hotel in America. Boston Cream Pie was waiting in my room on arrival! Tremendously pleased with the restaurant for dinner and breakfast buffet. Blueberry pancakes, delicious! As was Baked Scrod! The location was excellent to walk to Downtown Crossing, Chinatown, Boston Common & Park Street Station.

This is a nice hotel but I wish they would take out the carpet in their main lobby. The oak that likes most of the walls is nice and has a lot of character but some of it should be refinished and I wish the rooms and bathrooms were a little bigger. The bathrooms don’t have a nice large counter where the sink is like most hotels do. But this hotel has a great brunch and also is very reasonably priced.

Rooms are very small! Our first room had a filthy tub, and we then demanded another room. It was better, thank god. Service was good, but the rooms and hallways was comparable to a motel. This Omni in particular definitely takes their brand name for granted.

Luxury Hotel, the bar rest first meal. The beds are comfortable. Plus historical piece and located in downtown Boston.

Our stay at the Omni Parker House was good. The hotel is in a great location, right in the center of town, and easy walking distance to everything. The staff was great and very ready to help with anything, and were quite friendly. We went without a car for our trip, which was great since driving looked terrifying in the city, but being in the Omni Parker House is what allowed us to pull that off. The only reason to give it four stars instead of five is that while it is great from a historical aspect, that also means the rooms are a little smaller and sound carries a bit more then I would like, but overall very happy with the hotel stay.

We were staying for a weekend and the hotel is very nice but the rooms are a disaster.

My boyfriend and I decided to switch to this hotel last minute, (our last hotel was in a different area and did not feel safe) and this hotel truly made our Boston experience! Such an amazing location, one block over and you've hit mega shopping! The front desk staff was exceptional, all truly accommodating. We booked a traditional room and got a double bed. We slept in it the first night, but we needed more space for sleeping so we asked to switch to a King bed. The upgrade was more expensive per night, but the woman at the front desk offered us a deal to switch. Our King Deluxe room is well worth the bit extra. More spacious. The parking is the only issue. The valet is pretty expensive but the front desk staff offered a parking garage a block away for half the price. We will definitely be back!

The restaurant is in a beautiful room and very historic. The food is very rich but it costs a lot for what you get. We ate the Boston Cream Pie, and it was delicious!

A grand Lady of a venue. Filled with charm, character and history. My group had the pleasure of attending a private function in the restaurant (Last Harrah's) and found the staff to be friendly and very attentive. Other attendees raved about the shrimp cocktail and the drinks were made perfectly. Quite a pleasure to have visited and looking forward to returning again soon.

Very good hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the staff nice. The rooms however deserve a renovation and more modern facilities.

I had a ghost "dream" because of this place. It's rumored to be haunted. This place has a great history. Rooms look a bit old but it fits the history. Gym is modern. Service and rooms are great. If you stay here or not, you must try the hotel's famously known Boston cream pie. I swear I felt a ghostly presence over me while I slept at this hotel.

The staff from the moment we arrived was friendly and professional. The hotel is beautiful with elegant lobby and dining room with a historic bar. The vibe is perfect for Boston. The food is outstanding and the breakfast is what you’d expect from a great hotel but their bakery seems to be a cut above. The blueberry muffins and BCP are really good. This is our new favorite hotel when visiting Boston.

This is an old hotel which has played a role in Boston life for many years. The front desk welcome was pleasant, effective and efficient. My room was small (it was described as small) but decently equipped with the usual amenities. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower had decent pressure. No opening window unfortunately and there was a shortage of sockets — needed to unplug the clock radio to plug in the extension lead. Service in the Last Hurrah was good and it was a comfortable bar.

Historic hotel. Some things come with the territory, small rooms and such but we loved it. Location is perfect for downtown and Freedom Trail walking. Assess to the markets and the subway is super convenient. Don't bring a car if you don't have to. Parking could cost you up to $75 a day and you really don't want to drive in Boston unless you are used to it. We arrived on Saturday, took the blue line train from the airport, then the train back to the airport on Monday for our car. You can exit / enter the "State" or "Government" stations with just a short walk to the hotel. Can you say "Boston cream pie"?!

It is historic and it's old. And it shows. It's a lovely old hotel that needs some love. We stayed in the Parker suite and it was lacking. There were no design elements in the room or any of the public spaces. It seemed shabby. Even both of the bars.

Speaking for Parker's Restaurant. We drove all the way up from NYC to eat the Boston Cream Pie here. It was incredibly delicate, light, fluffy, and tasted wonderful. Everything you want in a boston cream pie! If you live in the area, share it with someone special. If you are from out of town, get one for yourself. It is worth savoring. Incredible service and top notch restaurant.

The hotel is nice, the staff is very friendly, & the rooms are comfortable & clean. Wonderful & delicious Continental breakfast buffet. Incredibly accommodating. So much to see & visit within walking distance. Would go again!

The staff was super friendly and so knowledgeable about the city. The bathroom (second floor) was super clean and well as the lobby. Also the rooms. While I was waiting in the lobby they had fresh water infused with fruit that was devine. I appreciate all of these details.

Wonderful hotel! Check in was speedy, and the staff was accommodating and friendly. We ate at the pub in the restaurant, and were pleasantly surprised by the food. Their Boston Cream Pie is a must. The room was clean with a beautiful view of Boston. The fitness center looked modern and nice. There was a cute little area in the basement that explained the history of the museum. The old fashioned ballrooms upstairs are fun to explore with children. The concierge was friendly and honest, giving us local tips about the area and introducing us to a wonderful breakfast cafe (Ziggy's). A cute little gift shop attached to the lobby was wonderful for bringing home souvenirs. The best thing about this hotel was definitely the location! We were able to walk to nearly everywhere that we wanted to go! Located right on the Freedom Trail, it is close to many historical landmarks. A walkable distance from the train station, there are many nearby shopping and dining options. It is also a few minutes away from the Boston Public Gardens and the Boston Common. Overall, I highly recommend here for anybody looking to have a memorable trip to Boston!

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… My boyfriend and I were in Boston very early one morning after taking his daughter to the airport. We decided to stop into the Omni Parker Hotel for breakfast. We both got the buffet and it was amazing. The options were great and the quality of the food was exceptional. The service was great and the staff are attentive. Coffee and juice were included in the price of the buffet. I highly recommend it!

The Hotel is very nice Price of prohibitive options. Do not eat peanuts in the room.

The room was pretty nice, but a bit small especially for the price. Got a good deal on Groupon so it was a reasonable price there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue with the room was the size of the shower — a bit small for me. We also had a small issue with being charged for one of the minibar items even though we never opened anything. I called and got the charge taken off, but it should not have happened in the first place. If you decide to stay here, just be wary of that and make sure you check your credit card statement to make sure they don't do the same to you. Overall, very nice hotel in a good location.

The room was dirty with dust and debris covering every ledge and vent. The bed cover had burn holes in them. The restaurant was dirty; touching the wood next to the table was grimy and left me with the feeling of needing to wash my hands and made my appetite disappear in an instant. I needed to check out a day early and end my vacation 4 days short after I was promised a refrigerator for my medication that never arrived after multiple times the response from the front desk was that I should have called more insinuating it was my fault for their lack of service. For the price of the stay and the history the hotel I expected better service, the amount of price tags in the room was tacky to say the least and the entire staff had an overall attitude of being owed their job and tip without expressing any pride in the establishment or their job. I find it truly difficult to express my disappointment in my stay.

Went to the bar, which was busy to the point of being out of seats. Eventually got space at the bar. Service was a touch slow, but the tender was very friendly and told my parents lots of Boston history. Great as a late night spot for a drink, but not amazing.

It's a very elegant hotel. Great customer service and professionalism. It has beautiful interior design and high quality restaurants and bars at an affordable price. Don't forget to try its Boston cream pie.

Very nice historical hotel. I stayed in a deluxe room and it was small but I expected that. Housekeeping, the concierge, and all the workers were very nice. The location was great and in the middle of everything. It's a 10 min walk to Chinatown or fanueil hall and 15 min walk to North end. I very much enjoyed my stay here.

Fantastic experience & location! Spent the weekend at the Parker House with friends and truly enjoyed the hotel. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The concierge assisted us in finding massages last minute and we were also given excellent recommendations for restaurants in the area. We were surprised by the famous Boston cream pie delivered to our room! I will definitely go back!

Really nice hotel. Rooms are a little smaller than usual, but your typical hotel wasn't built in the 1800s. Beds are very comfortable and my view was nice.

The hotel is beautiful. The architecture and decor are absolutely amazing, and the staff has been nothing but friendly and professional. My only complaint would be that our room and bed are extremely smal, college dorm small actually. The room seems to have been updated, but it just doesn't measure up to other hotels. The location and history though easily make up for the lackluster room.

I was taken to lunch there by my parents and it was a very nice experience. It's very easy to get to in downtown Boston being accessible by almost all of the mbta lines. The wait staff was excellent and the food was top notch. I had the pulled pork with spicy Cole slaw which was very good. The fresh made chips were an excellent side. I would readily recommend it to anyone else.

Charming hotel. Wi-Fi cost in the bedrooms, bathrooms very clean but a little small. Very good and very friendly staff.

Stayed here for a conference in (May 2015). Hotel has a history, most notable being that it is haunted and several guests have died during their stay. The interior is fascinating, reminiscent of scenes in "the Haunting" and even includes a "hidden" staircase. Unfortunately the rooms have a very worn down feel and are quite dark. The gym is nothing special. The staff are friendly. The location is superb at walking distance from pretty much all of the main attractions, and a subway station is just around the corner. I suspect that the cause of the deaths in the hotel is due to their reaction when seeing their bill. The cost of the rooms is way out of line with the quality delivered: this is the main reason for just 3 stars. That being said, I did very much enjoy my stay here!

It is hard to beat this hotel for location and cleanliness of the rooms and the charm of it as well. A short walk to the Commons and right on the path of the Freedom Trail. The staff is also courteous and attentive. While the hotel has the charm, a downside of it is that because its age leads to the charm and the walls are thin. Unfortunately you can hear the noise in the halls and in the street even though we were nine stories up. We heard the noises of fire engines in the middle of the night. I don't blame the hotel at all for that noise but I would think being nine stories up, it wouldn't be as loud. That said, the pros greatly outweigh the cons. Would we stay here again when visiting Boston? Absolutely we would. I will add that if you are driving and don't require the in/out privileges offered by hotel parking at $44 per day then the parking at Post Office Square which is a five minute walk from the hotel is a better deal. On Saturday and Sunday it is $9 per day for all day parking and $38 per day Mon-Fri. Keep in mind, that this garage does not offer in/out privileges however.

If any of you guys are looking for dirt cheap hotel deals I would check out HotelRaven. Com I saved a ton of money using that site. The staff is competent and the location is good, but it is overpriced and old-fashioned. You have to pay through the nose for Wi-Fi, and the food is not great. I ordered steak tips through room service. They were OK, but the vegetables were almost raw, with no seasoning, and the mashed potatoes were instant. Not what I would expect for $39. I wouldn't stay here again.

Lobby and concierge are nice. Restaurants and bars are catastrophically tricky. Hotel is very old and would need a renovation. Price/performance is wrong.

This historic hotel is certainly elegant and beautiful, at least from the lobby, and it has a great location for tourists, being so close to Boston Commons and all. Being an old hotel, though, also means the rooms are small and antiquated. The AC in the small room is a big box AC in the window and it's not that cold. The bathrooms are again small, barely fitting the sink, toilet, and stand up shower. The room decor is a bit dark, adding to the small feeling. It's one of the most (supposedly) haunted spots in Boston, so I guess it looks it? But it has nice amenities standard of the Omni and there's a 24-hour gym. I think it's a bit expensive for what you get room-wise, but again, can't beat the location.

Like all other Omni's in USA, they are down on their quality and service. Not like it used to be. Stay in other brand 4-5 star hotel.

Clean, has character, and good customer service. Highly recommended especially if you get a good rate. Only recommendation is that Wi-Fi should be included.

Beautiful hotel, but managed by absolute trash, at night you get management putting there ear to your hotel room, making sure that your quite settled, if you need anything just open your door because there just outside.

Was very good for breakfast. More expensive than I expected, but was OK for a vacation. Corn beef hash was very good. Loved the hotel as well. When we go back, we will stay here again.

The location is amazing. You're in the middle of everything. The red, blue, and green line are all a block or 2 away. The staff is very polite and helpful. We stay here every time we're in Boston. The staff is even nice enough to hold onto our luggage on check out days so we can see the city unfettered before we hop the train home. Of course, more special to me, is that this is the home of the Boston cream pie and is the longest continuously running hotel in America. You get to stay in history, surrounded, by more history, A must.

This is a great hotel with excellent service. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to be in the heart of the city stay here. I stayed here with my daughter. In October 2014 The room was well appointed, well maintained and very clean. We ate in the hotel restaurant and the food was quite good. I was less impressed with the service in the restaurant as I though things moved slowly. Overall I had a great experience here and would be hard pressed to find anything negative to say about this hotel.

Traditional hotel. Ideal for those who love the classics. Excellent front desk staff, very attentive and always well prepared to solve everything. Quiet, good elevators and beautiful rooms, but the rooms are small. Very well located, close to several interesting places to learn about walking.

Amazing hotel with such a rich history. Located in the heart of Boston, close walking distance to the North End, Faneuil Hall, and the Boston Common/Garden. One thing to watch out for is the $70 parking fee.

In-credible. Matt from the front desk is THE MAN. So incredibly personable and helpful. Jules and another gentleman from security, the same thing. Very incredibly helpful and efficient. I brought $75 worth of clothes that were mistakenly taken by Housekeeping, Matt and Jules got it resolved within the hour. Very impressed, this is my fifth night here and absolutely will not be my last. A+ team effort. Way to go, guys. Stunning hotel, unbelievably helpful and kind staff. Gorgeous history and details in everything down to the closet door handles. I am a non-believer in "ghost stories" but had an unforgettable encounter on the haunted 3rd floor that was thrilling and made the "story" of the hotel that much better. Can't wait to be back.
