We came in for dinner last night to celebrate a belated birthday. Our third time at the restaurant and it did not disappoint! Lovely atmosphere, service was excellent and food was delicious! We will definitely return again and again! Thank you Youngtown Inn!

Lovely comfortable rooms. The real draw is the restaurant! French menu with an array of selections, sure to please everyone. Tonight's Lobster Bisque was pure liquid lobster, bold flavor and lighter than expected. Spinach mushroom raviolo wad rich and clearly hand crafted. Entrees were crab and scallop stuffed filet of sole and a wasabi crusted tuna steak. Both dishes were flavor packed and perfectly prepared. We finished off the night with a Grand Marnier souffle. An incredible meal.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Youngtown Inn. The food was amazing and the service impeccable. We vacation in the area every year and plan to make dinner here a part of our tradition.

The quaint location on the outskirts of town, the amazing food and excellent wine list, the feeling of home but with no work. Caring host and hostess who treat you like family. Do not miss this experience!

Great French Restaurant in an historic beautiful Inn. Hostess greeted us warmly and kept returning to our table to check on how things were going and to carry on a scintillating conversation. Her husband is the chef and he is very French. He sent us free glasses of vintage port at the end of the meal "To celebrate France winning the World Cup". The servers were also very friendly and helpful. The decor is very elegant and the building super charming. Even the big old yellow dog who hangs out in the bar was friendly and welcoming. The food and wine lived up to the rest. Choice of four course prix fixe ($50 plus $5 supplements for rack of lamb and the souffle for desert) or al la carte. We had the delicious wild mushroom Ravioli in truffled cream sauce and the duck confit pate. The pate was covered with a soft layer of duck fat and was mild and tasty with cornchicons (tiny pickles) and thin toast points on the side. A generous and outstanding portion but I could have used another slice of the toast. The rack of baby lamb chops were coated with a salt crust and a red wine sauce and were tender perfection. Stuffed sole was perfectly cooked and tender as butter with a breadcrumb, crab and scallop stuffing. Sides of fingerling potatoes or rice pilaf and baby harciot verts were also great. The second course salad was molded into a little cylinder of baby arugula with mozzarella and ripe tomatoes. Both inventive and delicious. Desert souffles were classic and as good as they can get.

The best Midcoast Maine has to offer. Wonderful food, the friendliest people. I cannot say enough good things about the restaurant.

Excellent Valentine's day dinner. Lamb and filet mignon were both perfect. Excellent atmosphere for fine dining at a leisurely pace.

We spent a lovely evening dining here. The dinner was excellent. We chose the 4 course meal. The lamb and creme brulee were wonderful. Actually, everything was!

Absolutely fantastic. Charming, cozy venue. Delicious and creative menu, beautifully presented. Friendly and courteous staff. Miles is a first-class server and an asset to the staff! Loved every moment!

We had dinner here last night — our party of 6 was celebrating two wedding anniversaries and the news of an expected new baby. Without saying anything directly to our fabulous waiter, the staff surprised us at the end of the dinner with celebratory little tastes of port wine. I heard through the grapevine that the husband does virtually all the cooking by himself… you never would think it's possible though, every dish so perfectly plated and tasting out-of-this-world! I would have guessed there was a staff of 15 back there! so amazing and worth every single penny. Perfect experience from start to finish. Thank you Youngtown Inn!

"Magnificent" — Was visiting the area for a wedding and picked this based on the wonderful Trip Advisor reviews… No regrets. It was spectacular. From the pleasantries of the host to the preparation of the food. The setting is romantic and intimate. The hosts are warm and fun. A balance of their time in New York City and their last twenty some years here! I look forward to our next visit. "Cudo's the the "M's"". (It seemed everyone from the owners, including the dog to the help and 5he lake next door — began w "M". ;-) Five stars.

I did not stay at the inn but only came for dinner. Also, I don't often give 5-star reviews (have I ever? I'll need to look back at my history). Coming from New York City, my bar for French cuisine is set pretty high. The restaurant at The Young town Inn, settled on the top of a hill outside of the busier town of Camden, is worth the 10 minute drive. It's a quiet and romantic setting. Well lit and open without any crowding of tables. Don't mistake "quiet and romantic" as stuffy and old because it's not at all. In fact, there's a liveliness and energy in this little inn that brought a smile to my face. The halibut was cooked perfectly, as well as it could have been. The local vegetables in the salad as fresh and vibrant as if they were picked from the back yard with a dressing as subtle as it needed to be. The souffle… It was good but could use a little more practice. The wine list truly impressed me. Nothing trendy in here, everything carefully selected and reasonably priced. I will come back, only next time, I'll bring my family and stay at the inn. This place is a gem hiding in the hills of Maine.

We have been fans of the Youngtown Inn for over 20+ years. Each visit is better than the last. MaryAnn, Manuel and their staff have been consistently impeccable in their service and hospitality. It is without a doubt, our "go to" place for special occasions or when we just need to be pampered. Kudos, thank you and best wishes… CU again, soon!

I went here for my 25th birthday and it was amazing. The food was incredible and the service was perfect. The owner even sent us a drink. It was so sweet! Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

French attention to culinary details provides outstanding nourishments.

If you are anywhere near midcoast Maine and don't go by for dinner or a stay, you are missing one of the Coast's best little ""hidden gems". Elegantly quaint and unpretentious, this lovingly restored inn also has a great dinner menu and exceptional (and very reasonably priced) wine list. Ask to speak to one of the owners (She's usually working the dining room or front — he's usually using his French culinary skills in the kitchen). Get them to tell u the history of the inn and the incredible love story that brought it back to life! Romantic weekend or leisurely dinner — — you won't regret it and will definitely be back.

Enjoyed a great long weekend here, the food was good and it was precisely the relaxing weekend I was looking forward to all week. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, which really enhanced my stay greatly. Youngtown Inn is really my idea of what to expect for a lovely vacation in the country. Highly recommended.
