Wonderful stay. The owners make the place so special!

We recently spent a night here while on a little tour of the Maine coast on our honeymoon. The place was beautiful, our room was lovely, the bed and linens were comfortable, and the couple running the place were delightful. We had breakfast in the hotel the morning we left and it was delicious. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in Rockland. We highly recommend this little hotel!

Linsey Hotel in Rockland, Maine was a very nice place to stay. It's unique quality is of an old Sea Captains home with it's nautical charm dating back to 1835. My husband and I had a lovely homey stay visiting with the very pleasant Inn Keepers Carla and Gary and dining with other quests. Bedroom had a quaint ambiance. It was also clean and cozy with very comfortable beds for sleeping. Breakfast was delicious. The location is within walking distance to the Harbor and many town attractions such as the Farnsworth Museum, shops and places to eat. We hope to go back for more weekend get a-ways.

Very nice and clean Inn. The bed was very comfy. Our room was very nice and decorated nicely as well. The place is located right next to Main Street. There's lots of restaurants in walking distance. Even though it's next to downtown it's quiet. We didn't hear any noise. Breakfast was good. Not really a gourmet breakfast but it was good. The Inn keeper was very knowledgeable about the area and was happy to share info. One thing I wish they did was have coffee and tea available at all times. I like having a tea before bed and the first night there wasn't any. I asked the next day to leave some tea out and she was happy too. Overall it was a nice weekend.

Our stay at the Lindsey Hotel was absolutely great! The staff is so welcoming and right when you walk in everything is so cozy and clean. Our room was perfect size for two of us — very spacious and a good sized bathroom as well. I️ absolutely love the decor and colors throughout, so nautical and pretty. The room was also very quiet even though the hotel is very close to Main Street (one of my concerns since I️ am a light sleeper). Our breakfast was delicious as well. The details make this spot really special. We can’t wait to come back again!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Lindsey Hotel recently. I cannot recommend it enough. The location is perfect for walking downtown. It was tastefully decorated with art work by local artists that you could purchase. It felt like you were staying in a friend's home, a friend with incredible taste and style. Breakfast was served, no buffet style, cattle line. The food was scrumptious and filling.
My husband and I have found our "go to place" when visiting the Rockland/Camden area.

Came here after looking for ghostly place to take my best friend since it was her dream and she was turning 50! After searching on internet for haunted places to stay online, 1st place that came up was Lindsey hotel! Get here and it is family ran place where they live on site! Being a mom myself, I feel obligated to be quiet in my own room! Felt like staying with my mom rest her soul! It is right next to bar, between footsteps and loud noises there is no way to hear or see anything! Wine list provided but all out all and all a big waste of money when I could stay somewhere else a lot nice with better service and attitude! Totally ruined friends dream and paid outrageous money 250 a night to stay with friends mom with a lot of rules! Save your money and scare yourselves a lot more fun!

We stayed at the Lindsey Hotel earlier this month while traveling from bar harbor to Kennebunkport. We could not say enough about this hotel. Staff was excellent in pointing out restaurants and super friendly! Breakfast was delicious and eating out on their back porch was very peaceful. Never slept better in any bed, I even took a peek at what kind of mattress to purchase at home! Rooms where spacious and clean. Town was cute and quaint. Would definitely suggest going to cafe Miranda. I would stay again here in a heartbeat!

What a lovely, nautical themed inn. The host made us feel at home. Highly recommend.

Friendly, comfortable and clean. B& B style breakfast that are delicious. Short walk to ferry, food and shops.

Joanna was a great host. She made my husband and I feel welcomed. Prior to our visit she was response to email questions about restaurants and things to do. During our stay she took time to chat with us about the history of the inn even though she was busy. The common areas were beautifully decorated. Our room was clean, spacious, the bed was comfortable and had great nautical decor. Joanna made a hot breakfast entree. While my husband enjoyed it, I would have preferred to had have additional options such as oatmeal, fruit, and yogurt. I thought it was odd that our room did not have a clock or iron/ ironing board. The ice machine was also very tiny. Perhaps it was popular the night we stayed, but I waited 15 min for 10 ice cubes.

Wonderful place, tasteful interior design, comfortable beds and rooms. Great hospitality and breakfast was excellent (thanks Johanna! )! Conveniently located downtown near great restaurants, local shops, and art galleries. Private parking spaces. Best Inn/B&B visited so far.

Terrific, intimately scaled, design forward small hotel. The décor is great, it's refined, super centrally located, and best of all has a wonderful owner with a big heart. Rockland is the art center of mid coast Maine, and this year is the big Andrew Wyeth anniversary year, with a great show at the Farnsworth Museum, a stone's throw from the Lindsey.

Lovely place… Very clean and cozy and the breakfast is to die for. Would definitely come back.

The innkeeper was the most vile and inhospitable person I have ever met. She was hardly welcoming to my family. So much so that after getting berated in front of my two young children and crying for an hour straight, I left the hotel with no other reservations. I would rather my family sleep in the car than at an establishment managed by this lady. If you have kids or a soul, I don't recommend staying here.

I am a bit discriminating when it comes to lodging when away from home. The Lindsey house exceeded my every expectation. Best bed I have ever slept in, including mine. Simply wonderful breakfast spreads. FRIENDLY inn keeper and owner. Helpful when needed — invisible otherwise. I am not going to even bother looking for other lodging if I visit again. I doubt it could be better.
