I reserved three rooms last minute. My employers son was sick in Rock land ME ICU. They were suppose to life flight him to Portland but the ICU beds never came open so I called the diamond desk to try to cancel our rooms. In the twenty years of using Hilton for corporate travel I’ve never had them charge me when our schedule, e changes. There’s a first time for everything I guess I find it disgusting even after I told them what was going on we still ended up paying this overpriced hotel for three rooms for one night. We were not on vacation, ridiculous.

We are out of state visitors with the required negative covid test papers, and proof of stay from another Maine hotel. We booked a room here the night before our flight home due the proximity of the hotel. The clerk/manager was incompetent and did not understand her own states law regarding travelers. She refused to let us check in — as well as the couple in front of us, saying we needed a negative covid test 72 hrs prior to check in. She suggested we sleep in our rental car overnight for our flight in the morning. Wow! Do not book here!

Good facility very close to the airport.

Fast check in, Spacious rooms with ultra comfortable beds and bedding. The room was as clean as a doctors office. Great shower pressure and plenty of hot water. The hot tub felt amazing and helped my sore back. The multiple fast food places within walking distance of hotel were perfect for me to get a late night snack. 5/5 definitely check out!

My stay at the Hilton Garden in was perfect. They had a shuttle service to and from the airport and a lobby fully stocked in case I forgot anything (I did. ). While they were under construction, the staff still went above and beyond service wise and making sure I had a great stay. The breakfast is far superior to most “hotel lobby breakfasts” while there is a buffet, there is also the option of ordering eggs, omelettes, and french toast. I would absolutely stay at this establishment again. Can’t wait to see the improvements as well!

This is a really great property that is straightforward and relaxing. Check in was quick and easy, with a nice desk team member assisting us in a special booking need. Pretty good variety of snacks and treats available right at the front. The lobby was large and beautifully decorated, with a large selection of coffee and teas available right in the center. Rooms were fairly large with an included microwave and fridge which should be standard. The parking and Wi-Fi were complimentary with the latter being fast and easy to log on. Indoor hot tub and pool were well maintained and featured a generous window of opportunity. Business center was large and in perfect working order as well as the indoor workout area. Our bus driver loved the mattress and the HBO available in the room. This was a great stay and a perfect sport for us. Grateful for the hospitality at this one!

Great hotel with clean rooms. Was there for three nights and it was quiet and comfortable. Very convenient shuttle to local establishments. Front desk people were helpful, and the breakfast was outstanding.

Lovely staff. They gave us a to-go breakfast @ 4:10 a. M. (They didn't mention that if we didn't eat it before security, we'd lose the yogurt and soy milk. ) Seems like an older hotel, but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were plenty of towels, and the bathroom, though small, was probably recently remodeled. The price for the quality can be justified only by its proximity to the airport.

Everything was nice. They have a pretty good matress. It tries to adapt to your body and is adjustable. Works okay, at least it wasn't a worn-out conventional spring mattress.

We spent the night for an early flight. They had a free shuttle service that was available 24/7. They were super friendly, they even gave us take home containers for a quick breakfast to take with us on the shuttle on the way to the airport, considerating we had an early flight from when their breakfast started.

The motel is alright, just make sure you pick a room away from runway. I didn't get any water on my last stay as a diamond member. I didn't get offered any last night either but I didn't need any. Great restaurant. Servers are on top of it.

It's a really nice hotel and located right across the way from the airport. I'm giving it a three star because our room smelled like a locker room and it isn't very quiet. Not from the airport noise (that's a given), but you can hear people in the hallway and walking around above you. Unless you can sleep like the dead, I wouldn't 100% recommend if you're wanting a good, restful nights sleep before a flight. The prices are high, but you can't really beat being that close to the airport. Also the pillows are way too soft and beds are too firm. If they could find a happy medium, that would definitely help! I hope that maybe it was a mix up that we got four insanely soft pillows. Even folding it didn't offer much support.

Very nice clean rooms. Great breakfast. Very helpful staff. We needed a room after having to bring our dog to the area for emergency surgery. We couldn't book through the app since it was after mudnight and the app wanted to take us to the next night. Then the Hilton computer system was down for maintenance. But the lady at the front desk made it work. Thanks so much.

A nice hotel if you are in for shopping in the area. They prep a tasty breakfast with healthy choices.

I bring my 12 year old son plane spotting and The Hilton Inn @Portland Airport always makes sure they have a "spotting" room available for him. They know him by name and make him feel special. They make sure he has fun and that we can make wonderful memories there. That is priceless customer service. Comfortable and clean rooms, with great accomodations.

Clean rooms, comfy beds, and as close as you can get to the airport without being at at. Would stay again.

Staff: 5 star, excellent! Building construction: one star. This hotel could be compared to the percussion section of an orchestra. The fire doors like gongs, the hallways like timpani and the stairwells like concert toms. The night we stayed the orchestra was occupied by the track and field team and the conductor was drunk at the bar. Garden Inn are usually reasonably well built. This one is not. Lastly, we had a handicap room. There was no shelf in the shower for soap and shampoo and the towels were on a shelf 6 feet from the floor. Not sure if that's an ADA violation but it certainly is rude.

HILTON helped make lemonade out of our lemon day. What a fantastic place to stay. Flying standby has its advantages except when mother nature plays her games with the weather. The Portland, Maine airport was backed up so no open seats on 3 different flights tho Detroit on Sunday. We decided to pay a little extra to stay close to the airport because we were rescheduled for 5.30 a. M. Flight on Monday. We ate at the Hilton grill where"G" waited on us. I had some of the best scallops with fried veg. What a fantastic dinner. We checked out at 3.50 a. M. Got the free shuttle to the airport. No flights for us on Monday. Called the Hilton to see if we could recheck in and they said of course. Had a fantastic breakfast! It has been worth every penny! Way to go Hilton, you and your employee's rock!

Hotel lobby was clean but the room smelled like a old towel. There was not enough parking and it was like a game of thrones battle at 5pm to get a spot. The staff is really nice and one guy went out of his way to get me some headache medication late at night. The pillows are terrible like every other Hilton hotel. Towels were really soft.

Easy in and out. Even got a room with a view of the airplanes for my son to watch when asked for. Nice staff and good facilities.

Absolutely the best hotel we have stayed at in a very long time! We stayed there for my birthday and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure it was a special occasion. Everything from upgrading our room to including a nice beverage in the suite. Will definitely be back.

I would have rated this 1 star if it wasn't for the shuttle driver going above and beyond to help us out. He earned an extra star for his service. The room smelled of cigarette smoke even though it's a non smoking room. As it turned out the smell was coming from the bathroom as it appears the vent in the bathroom must be connected to other rooms that are smoking rooms. The TV in the room did not have a remote for it and even though I reported it to the main desk nothing was done about it. The last part isn't really the hotel's fault but just added to the aggravation as some kid had pooped in the pool. This caused the hotel to have to close it for the next day or so to have it cleaned. Just all around a bad experience for the night.

Convenient location for air and road, good food, onsite bar, hot tub, a regular stop when I travel.

Will never stay here again, ran into a very RUDE employee named Heather Penny. Completely off her rocker. She even CURSED at me. She should immediately be fired and I'll be telling management about her. If this is who they have representing their business, then it's certainly not somewhere I'd spend my money.

My most recent stay exceeded my expectations. We stayed the night prior to an early morning flight with our 18month old. We left the hotel at 4am and I forgot my cell phone charger in the room. I called the following day and the charger was found and held for me. When I returned from my trip 1 week later, it was no longer there. The staff member apologized and a few days later I received a brand new charger in the mail. It was very unexpected but appreciated. It’s little things like this that make a place stand out. Thank you!

Had Maine lobster salad, highly satisfying. Good Cabernet. Rooms are clean. Friendly and courteous staff. Airport pick up.

Disappointed. In-room menu says dinner served daily 'til 10 pm. At 9:15 pm it was closed and place was ghost town. Floors in hallways are uneven, be careful.

Nice hotel with clean rooms. It's right beside the airport, so a great place to stay if you're flying in or out. Great staff at the front desk. The servers at the bar were great as well.

Decent price for the location, 15 mins from Old Port. Comfortable, clean rooms, somewhat noisy overnight. Nice place for an overnight getaway.

Room was clean and adequate. Staff was accommodating. Restaurant/bar was severely underwhelming. Luckily it's close by to Portland which is full of awesome places to eat.

It is hard to find a pet friendly hotel. This hotel is at no additional charge. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is what is expected at a large chain. The bathroom could use a deep cleaning but other than that nothing to complain about.

The room was clean, smelled nice and the decor is very comforting. The bathroom was very clean and the towels we're fluffy as well! I will most certainly stay there again. Also the young man at the front desk was a delight!

Our room was as clean as one would expect and it was surprisingly large. We were able to comfortably fit a Pack and Play. The room comes with a mini fridge and mini Keurig, though there's generally coffee in the lobby. The breakfast buffet is nice but expensive, as is the room service options. My main complaint is that the service was overall terrible. The front desk staff were mostly pleasant, but the room service staff was rude to us on the phone and in person, and the breakfast waitstaff would ignore people. I, and many other guests, were forced to grab coffee from the server's cart for ourselves. The breakfast is supposed to come with an omelette. On the first morning, after several minutes of waiting, we were able to order. On the second morning, our table was *never* visited, so we were charged for something that we weren't able to get. On the third morning, we opted out of the hotel breakfast, even though we had paid for it in advance when booking the room. It's not that the waitstaff was too busy; there were two of them handling about six tables. Having worked in a restaurant, I can attest that this is not "in the weeds. "

The accommodations were good, but we had to leave early in the morning, at 3 am. We asked the desk if it would be possible to small a bagel considering we had to go but the free breakfast wasn't getting put out for 3 more hours. The desk attendant was completely unwilling to help… Just kept saying sorry breakfast isn't until 6. It's the little things… Just grabbing us a bagel out of the fridge would've made all the difference.

Room well cared for, welcoming staff but complaint that room's cooling system not working was NOT attended to. Most disappointing for a Hilton facility. Good news is that the cookies are still served warm! Hilton's Honor client.

I stayed at the hotel with my daughter and three year old granddaughter, we enjoyed spending time in the pool area, and the room was amazing, the beds were very comfortable and the pillows were made for Queens. Having the refrigerator in the room was wonderful. I dropped of my girls at 5am, the shuttle service picked me back up at the airport and I got to enjoy the room until noon. I found all the staff members that I came in contact with to be very kind and helpful. Overall experience was amazing.

Found body hair in one of our beds. Management took care of it promptly. Still weird that the bed was filled with hair. Other than that, the hotel was beautiful!

Super clean, appeared newly renovated, staff was friendly-enough. The bartender was somewhat rude at night, but she was busy. We almost felt like we were on the runway of the airport because its so close, but surprisingly, we barely heard any noise. The beds were comfy, the towels were very soft, the toiletries were Neutrogena (so my hair actually felt decent after shampoo/conditioner). The brownie from the kitchen was awesome!

We have been through here quite s few times. Generally ok with s better than average restaurant but many irritating quirks like rooms that smell like cigarettes out of order exercise equipment or unmade beds. Very pleasant breakfast hosts.

Although the location of Hilton Garden Inn Portland Airport is convenient in proximity to the Portland International Airport, the service I experienced, at all levels, was distasteful. Typically there are three things I look for prior to making a hotel reservation: location, cleanliness and price. This hotel met my typical three requirements, it was in a convenient location, it was clean and the price was relatively inexpensive. As a pretty low-maintenance individual, previously, service didn't rate top priority for me. While staying at the hotel, I wouldn't say that I was displeased by the minimal service I received, but following my stay, an unauthorized fee of $250 was charged in addition to my reservation fees. When calling to question and dispute this additional charge, I was informed that it was for smoking in a non-smoking room. Despite the fact that no smoking took place within the room during my stay and that I had not authorized the fee, they refused reimbursement. In addition, during the dispute process, I was given the run around and I was not treated in a professional manner by front desk associates and management. In fact, they were quite rude, to say the least. Hilton Garden Inn claims to offer their guests a Satisfaction Promise/Guarantee, yet in my case they failed to follow through with that promise.

Hotel is right next to the jetport. The room was clean and confortable. The staff extreamly friendly and helpful.

Stayed on a business trip and was very disappointed with two issues — 1) denied my request for a late check-out due to volume of clients coming in (I just needed to work in my room for a couple more hours — even an hour would have been helpful — AND I offered to pay the $50 (as stated in the rules) ) ; and 2) when I was working in the lobby on day of check out I had to complain about another guest (who actually turned out NOT to be a guest, but just a lobby crasher) who was some kind of financial trader and was having a meltdown over deals he was losing that day. I complained, as this guy was going off (hitting the table; "f bomb" all over the place; pulling his hair out and crying like a baby. (I couldn't even make this up…). He was totally nuts and after hearing him say on the phone "I'm about to go off on someone", I complained to the front desk. What did they do? Nothing. Not a thing. Didn't confront him; he continued his antics — … I ended up leaving and left the nut case still cussing. What if he had gone off? Is it worth the potential liability issue, Hilton? I eventually heard the nut say (on the phone) that his son was at a soccer match and he just came there to use the Wi-Fi. Anyway, was unhappy with the way both of these situations were handled. Like I said, I was there on business, and really needed the extra hours of work, which eventually got done, but certainly wasn't in a pleasant environment.

I came back to my room to find myself locked out (keys deactivated). Upon checking at front desk I was asked to step to the side and told housekeeping had entered my room (after 2pm strangely) and that it smelled like pot. Funny enough I did not have any pot nor was any pot smoked for that matter. I did have a few medicated candy bars on my TV stand but that is all. Now they have given me no totals for room charges, charged me a $500 room cleaning fee. Never stay here, they refuse to give their guest the benefit of the doubt. I have never felt so insulted in my life.

The inn is across the way from a jetport. Surprisingly, we had no noise issues whatsoever. We chose this because of the price — everything downtown was double the price. The overall cleanliness was fine. The staff was lacking in knowledge. I asked about renting bikes at the front desk, and the man just told me I could rent bikes by the water. When I inquired further about where exactly this might be, he said he didn't know. Keep in mind, he was inches away from a working computer. He was unhelpful and lazy. The TV cable service was broken in our original room so we had to move to another. When we moved, I was bitten by mosquitoes all night. I woke up with red welts on my legs. It was quite unsightly and I was uncomfortable sleeping on the old beds. I could feel the springs beneath my back. When I tweeted about this online, Hilton got back to me and it forced the manager to write to me. She then only offered me compensation in the form of one free night of hotel stay at the same hotel. Why would I even consider this? It was such a terrible place to stay because the back doorway was lighted and all the insects and bugs flew in whenever the door was opened. This was frequent since it led straight to the parking area. I ended up just getting points, which turned out to not be enough for a night's stay at any hotel. So thanks for that, Hilton. Never coming back.

OMG where to begin. Under construction but still full price. Loud airport noise. No menu or idea of what they have available in the way of food. Go to desk RUDE! OK. Bar guy nice and good burger, but $125.

On arrival at the hotel the staff were very welcomeing and helpful, the dineing room appered very clean and our room was wounderful with everything you could wish for in a hotel room. My Wife and I could not fault the hotel or staff in our minds the hotel is EXCELLENT and we WOULD stay there again.

I spent about fifty dollars extra to stay at this hotel as opposed to other semi-decent hotels in the area because the HIlton Garden Inn where I live is actually nice. This one on the other hand is apparently held to a much lower standard. The high points are that chicken was very quick, the bed wasn't terrible, and I didn't need to find out a special password to get online. The first issue I had was that there was literally not one parking space available. Second: I booked a king room, was billed for a king room, but got a room with two doubles. It may only be a ten dollar difference, but it's my ten dollars. Besides if they don't have any king rooms available they should be able to tell you when you book. Third: when I got to my room on this nice forty degree night, they had the air conditioner running and it smelled weird. I have to wonder if this was a smoking room that they simply removed the ash trays from. Fourth: the carpet looks old and dirty. The bathroom has grime in the corners. The alarm clock was set to the wrong time and doesn't appear to be something a guest can change. The alarm clock was also very dusty which indicates that housekeeping doesn't clean it if it isn't obvious. Fifth: at one am the fire alarms went off and we all had to leave for half an hour. The entire lobby area wreaked of grease at this time. It was much worse than any fast food restaurant I've been in.
