Great old timely resort in rural Maine. Lots of history. Plenty of things to do. A stress-free zone.

We are so proud to be members here. It is a great Place for the whole family to visit. The golf course is one of the best courses we have ever played at. They have so many other activities as well. The food is excellent and the rooms and cottages are clean and so relaxing.

Great old fashioned resort with many amenities including a Donald Rossi 18 hole golf course.

Homespun hospitality. Golf, pool, historic amenities on site. Fabulous food. Close proximity to many vacation highlights.

We spent 4 days at the lodge. It was absolutely perfect! The staff was very kind and accommodating, it was nice to have access to board games and the toddler room up at the presidential inn. We had fun playing games and walking the grounds. Drinks at the main hotel while watching the sunset from their generous array of rocking chairs was perfect. We hope to he repeat customers for a long time. All saints chapel up on the hill is beautiful, I have included photos of the incredible stained glass windows which tell stories from the gospel. These truly need to be seen in person to be appreciated. There are also several awesome attractions nearby that make the resort an ideally located vacation retreat.

Quiet place with great views. Fresh air, lots of place for walking. Friendly service, fresh homestyle food at all you can eat buffet. Best golf course beautifully designed.

This entry is misleading because it refers to the lodge and not the entire resort. The lodge is conveniently located off the highway so you can pull in and get a room. This place is very clean and very quiet for the type of accommodation it is. The staff is very professional and friendly. Wi-Fi worked well. Room was very warm.

Golf course was nice. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Country themed room that was spacious and clean. We had a view of the golf course. The staff is very friendly. You cant beat the price and the casino is a 5 minute drive. They also provide free shuttle bus to the casino if needed.

I saw countless reviews saying the place was run down and didn't have amenities. What I found was a quaint room that was clean and had character and charm. You can't expect Hilton-like accommodations in the middle of nowhere, in a historic building. The staff was friendly and the area was beautiful, and close enough to Freeport to jet in for dinner. The price was also reasonable for the area. I did not have time to try breakfast, and did not interact with the staff much, so I can't say much more on that front. I would avoid staying there during tourist season, but would definitely stay again.

We had our Wedding here on 9/10/17. Cyndi and her team were the most thoughtful and forthcoming team. Everything was decorated for us and it was incredible. Everything about the event went perfect — including the after party at Mel's Hill top. I loved everything about it!

Service a little slow but food was good.

Generally good, though some areas could use with remodeling. Out of date aesthetics sometimes give a poor impression of the place. Service and environment were otherwise excellent. Staff was pleasant and professional. The grounds were very well kept.

We had our wedding ceremony at the all souls chapel. It was fantastic! Kate, the wedding coordinator was amazing! She helped us through every step in the process and was amazing from the start!

Absolutely amazing hotel. The entire stay was wonderful and after a stressful day of wedding planning I was happy to jump into that bed.

The cabin we stayed in was a bit old, and the amenities were limited (e. G. No sponge) but overall it wasn't bad. Free dinner isn't too great.

It had very good snowmobile trails.

Poland Spring Resort has a lot of character and would be perfect for anyone looking to get away from the busy, connected world.

Pros: Grounds are gorgeous with scenic views, many young staff members who were very polite, reasonable rates that included simple, buffet style breakfast and dinner, clean room, Wi-Fi, the well known golf course, well kept pool, lots of historical places/things/impressive architecture on the property to check out, and many indoor and outdoor activities for all ages. It's also a short drive to the casino or the resort offers shuttle service. Loved the Maine Inn front porch with big rocking chairs to chat with other guests or just take in the sunset. Cons: Outdated rooms (at least in Presidential), bed slanted down at the head and we had to sleep with our heads at the foot, mattresses are old, uncomfortable spring style and need replacing, shower is a jet blast: warning not to put younger children in the shower! Parking for Maine and Presidential Inns is limited and a distance from the Inns. Other minor stuff: keys to front door and room don't work smoothly, pipes in ceilings are loud when other guests use bathroom, old furnishings, thin walls. As much as we enjoyed the ambience and our stay over all, unless we could be assured of a decent bed, we'd likely choose elsewhere because ultimately, comfortable beds are the heart and soul of any lodging.

Location 38 minutes from Portland ME, beautiful setting for a wedding! Staff very nice and efficient. The Maine Inn is a little tired looking and the toilets don't work well but the bed and bedding was nice.

Very friendly staff, well kept place and quiet. Only complaint I have is the extremely finicky shower controls. I'm talking like 1/16 of a turn from soft and it's jet blasting.
