Old fashioned country comfort and hospitality. So quaint and lovely. I think I love this place more than looking at the fall colors!

The rooms are nice. The service is good. The room was very clean. Overall a great experience.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights over the Fourth of July and were very pleased with the accommodations. While the building is old and historic, it did have window air conditioners which was a welcomed relief given it was 90+ degrees for the duration of our stay. Steven the proprietor and his staff were very friendly and offered a wonderful breakfast of fruit, assorted breads and cereals and coffee and juice to wash it all down. With close proximity to Damariscotta, the Pemaquid Point Light House and many other coastal Maine attractions, I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We stayed in Room 2. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable of the area. The room was quaint and the bed comfortable. We had breakfast on the porch enjoying the birds, chipmunks and squirrels. We would recommend a stay there when you are in the area.

We stayed 1 night on way from Bar Harbor to Boston. Steve, the owner, made us feel very welcome, and is great at making space for guests to integrate and get to know each other. The common use kitchen is another great place to linger over a beverage or the prep of a meal. The screened in porch on back is the perfect "lounge" for visiting in a space that brings the beautiful outside in. Steve hung with us in the evening, which may have been unusual, but there were several pre-wedding guests in celebratory mood which heightened excitement for all in residence. The bed was VERY comfy, room quiet and cool, shower clean with plenty of hot water, breakfast was nutritional and delicious, the hospitality grand. We would go back in a heart beat! Though only there one night, it was an evening to remember!

If you choose Hawk’s House Inn, you will be so grateful. We were! We were warmly welcomed and guided to everything we needed. Highlights included: very clean, quiet, birds at breakfast, food to make breakfast since we woke up late (shh! ), great guidance to a beach & restaurant. Definitely going to stay here again!

We stayed three nights at Hawks House and it was WONDERFUL! It was so homey and Steve was so inviting and hospitable. So many rooms that are public areas to sit in and enjoy, not to mention the porches and outside lawn too! So many interesting people to talk to and meet around the breakfast tables. Steve is a rare breed these days as he owns and runs his inn almost exclusively on his own. He is full of energy and is quick to share a story or two from the regions historical past. Breakfast is prepared daily and consists of fresh fruits, cereals, fresh eggs some from his own stash, and homemade banana bread and jelly. The grounds are well kept and the rooms are cozy. Various species of birds gather outside the enclosed porch for your viewing pleasure. If you are looking to spend some time exploring Maine's beautiful coastline I highly recommend Hawks House as your home away from home.

This place is fantastic. A slice of post card New England. Our room was beautiful, well kept, and comfortable. You feel like you've stepped into real Maine here, but with all the comforts of home. A unique, historic, and cozy inn. Guests even have their own full kitchen at their disposal any time, day or night.
The owner, Steve, went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Tending to our every need while still giving us space to feel like the place was ours. He built us a great fire, prepared a nice breakfast, and pointed us to the best local eateries. He even welcomed me into his personal kitchen to pepper him with cooking questions while he prepared an amazing beef stew for a local charity event. Would stay there again without question!

Great location, owner Steve is very friendly and goes out if his way for you. Nice to sit with our coffee and the homemade breads and fresh fruit in the morning and watch all the birds off the back porch and the hummingbirds at the flowers and feeders. The location was perfect for our needs and the room was very nicely done and very comfortable. My wife and I stayed in room 12 and hope to do do again next year.

Our first family visit to this splendid Inn was last Christmas. The Inn looked very pretty and inviting with all the Christmas decorations and there were lots of open rooms for our family to get together. The Inn keeper, Steve made us very welcome and with a roaring fire we had a splendid family dinner with all the trimmings which he prepared for us on Christmas Day.
Last week we were fortunate to spend a week occupying the same 3 lovely rooms in the heart of Inn. Steve Hawke provided many fans to keep us comfortable during the unusual heatwave. The breakfast he provided was outstanding! Home baked banana bread, lots of fresh cut fruit, local baked breads, and much more. Truly a magnificent spread.
We are looking forward to our next visit to this very special part of the world.

Lovely place to stay in a lovely location! Steve Hawks makes every one of his guests feel welcome. His homemade muffins, quiches and banana bread make breakfast a delight — — and the screened-in porch is a great place to start a Summer morning. The inn has many open guest areas with comfy seating, fireplaces and great decor. My visit was in July, but I think this would also be a wonderful place to visit in the Autumn or Winter. Very cozy!

My husband and I stayed at the Hawks' House Inn for four nights in early August, 2015. What a lovely place it is! The oldest part of the inn dates from the early nineteenth century, the newest from 1989. But the whole inn is tastefully furnished including many antiques. We stayed in one of the rooms with a private bath, but there are also rooms with shared baths. Our room (and all of the rooms that we peeked into! ) was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. But I'm saving the best for last. The owner of the inn, Steve, was so easy to deal with from our first contact. He was a wealth of information about the local area and made some of the best blueberry muffins we've ever had! We'll definitely stay again when we get back to that beautiful part of Maine.
