Eric and his son Zach are extremely nice and helpful. They have a wealth of knowledge about the history of the inn, surrounding areas, restaurants, etc. My husband and a German friend he met on the Appalachian Trail are walking the AT and I am providing resupply along the way. Eric and Zach provided great information so I could meet them in their travels. The inn is very nice, extremely clean, and very cozy. I would highly recommend this inn!

We stayed there for the night on Sunday after a wedding across the street. They gave us a shuttle ride back over from the wedding it was nice knowing if we had too much to drink we didn't have to walk back over to our room in the dark. We had a king room and the bed was so big and cozy. The place was clean. Our breakfast options were good. If your not use to busy roads it can be a tad difficult sleeping with windows open. Other then that if we ever get the chance we would stay again. Staff is pleasant too. Thank you Sterling Inn for our stay!

Great customer service, comfortable room, extremely clean, and a great atmosphere. The lounge was great with lots of DVDs and the shuttle to dinner was a very nice touch for the hikers. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Fantastic place to stay. My favorite place along the Appalachian Trail.

Stayed there a couple of days. I found the place clean the staff friendly. Shared baths did not bother me. Good location for rafting. Nice and quiet.

For the price very worth it. Offered free shuttles to and from trail and Wal-Mart, free showers, laundry even for non-guests we ended up getting a private room with queen bed. Dog friendly!

Had an amazing luncheon for my grandpa. The food was amaziiiiiing!

Lovey B&B very authentic to staying in ME — we enjoyed the self serve breakfast and the owners were very pleasant.

Great place. Amazing owners they've done an awesome job in past few yrs. It's so comfortable and homey. Room rates are more then reasonable. Main room has a great woodstove, wood is supplied by owners. Breakfast self made and served down in eating quarters. They had it all. From eggs to cereal hot cerals breads doughnuts bagels and much more. Well worth it.

The sterling inn is a cozy friendly inn. We went there for snowmobiling, right off ITS 87 with a spur trail to the inn. Owner is friendly and very accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone who thinks the inns/motels at the forks are over priced and want to try something new. Only 10 minutes via snowmobile to the forks!

Eric and Zack are great they know the area well and are really helpful. They are just getting into Hunter packages for November and have the best room rates in the area! Will use in the future.

Best resupply in town. Will come get you from the trailhead or anywhere else in town.

I come here every year and always rave about it. What a great, relaxing place with so many amenities, and also a bargain!

Wonderful place, cozy and a welcome retreat in this area. The owners are very knowledgeable of the area and offered great guidance.

Super cute little place. Affordable prices and conveniently located to the Maine Lakeside Cabins venue if you're attending something there. The staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable, bright and inviting.

What an enjoyable spot to visit, just wish it was a leisure trip. Met up with many Appalachian Trail hikers from different places (Florida, Nebraska, Maine, Illinois and Northern Quebec). One sponsored a group BBQ for all of us and we shared a nice family style meal. The Father/Son team who operate the Inn were very nice, rooms are comfortable and the scenic Kennebec River Valley is hard to beat. Hope to get back and snowmobile from here this winter, if the little woman can set aside the shared bathrooms I can promise her a great sledding adventure from right here at The Sterling Inn, Caratunk, Maine.

Eric and Zach are good people they have a gem or JE M of a place. I'm a snowmobiler (we are) and stay often. Price is right, trails in and out groomed (by N. O. I think) well kept. It's not a b&b except for cooked meals it's pretty dam close. Pluz if you want a hot meal I believe they will take u there. Clean Quite large friendly and perfect for any get away. Lovely innkeeper. Clean rooms. Basic but sufficient breakfast with yummy muffins. Cute and rustic decor. Gorgeous great room with microwave and fridge for guest use.

Wonderful old hotel, eric keeps the place pristine. Lovely for the tired hiker.
