This is the perfect getaway, staycation, girls weekend, solo retreat time, whatever you want to call it. My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful experience here. The owners are simply fantastic people, the food was to die for, and the inn itself is gorgeous. I felt so spoiled and will certainly be returning!

We love staying in this cozy and peaceful place. The owners were wonderful and thoughtful, the little extras went a long way. You feel like at home by the nice fireplace or sitting on a comfortable couch gazing through the window. Bedrooms are beautifully decorated, each one has a bathroom. Highly recommended.

Where to even start… we had such a wonderful stay, I simply couldn't say enough good things about the rooms, innkeepers, and staff! The Inn is beautiful, clean, and truly gives you a home-away-from-home feel. Jeff and Shelly are wonderful hosts! We have already decided the next getaway will be back at the Captain Swift Inn!

Our stay at Captain Swift Inn was fabulous! We were there from September 29 — October 3. Shelly and Jeff were wonderful hosts. The Inn was beautiful, charming, clean, and provided everything needed for a great stay. Breakfast every morning was top notch! They provided every amenity you might need. The Inn was within walking distance to the harbor and many great restaurants and shops. Will definitely stay again next time we are back in Maine! Corey and Lynn Cortez.

The Captain Swift Inn is a beautiful historic Inn with modern touches and friendly hosts. Jeff and Shelly made us feel welcome the moment we stepped in to their Inn. In fact, they even accommodated and early check in for us.
Having spent the first 4 days on a Windjammer cruise we were in desperate need of freshening up! Easy walking distance to the harbor allowed us to leave our car parked safely at the Inn and skip the traffic that Camden sees in the summer season, allowing us more time to explore. Breakfast in 3 courses is the best way to start the day! Delicious, local fare served inside or outside fueled our mornings. When we return to Camden we will most definitely be staying here again! Perhaps our next visit will be over the winter season. Thank you Jeff and Shelly for everything! Wishing you all the best!

To say we LOVED the inn would be an understatement. The Captain Swift Inn is beautiful. Every detail has been well thought out. We chose the Mattie suite and it was perfect for our time away. The bed was super comfortable with amazingly soft linens, the large garden tub was perfect after a day of walking, and the fireplace was great for one of the cold and rainy evenings we had. The common rooms were also beautiful and inviting, and the whole place is immaculate. While I was nervous about a change of ownership after we’d already booked, the new owners, Shelly and Jeff, are fabulous hosts. They are so warm and made us feel welcome and as if we were just visiting good friends. The whole vibe at the inn was warm, friendly and unpretentious. It’s clear Shelley and Jeff are pouring their hearts and souls into this beautiful property and we can’t wait to go back and visit again. Thank you both for everything this week! 🤗

Our whole experience was absolutely perfect. We have stayed at several other places this is definitely the best! the hosts Rick and Carolyn could not have been more attentive and kind. We met great people and hope they all come back next year! wonderful fire pit spending time with new friends, Julie, Mike, kara, joe and jonathan! so nice to see people again. Wonderful breakfast and catered to us. If you ever got to main this is the place to be. A shout out to the schooner Surprise also a wonderful sail!

Carolyn & Rich are amazing Innkeeepers! Attentive to all of your needs! We had such an amazing weekend! We loved the atmosphere — very warm and personal! Anything we needed (or wanted! ) was available within moments — from a cribbage board to specialty drinks and customized meals! We really loved the featured history and warm, cozy fireplaces in almost every room. Beautiful spa shower with several massage heads & comfy bedding too. Best breakfast we have had in years! We chose the ice climbing package and what an amazing adventure that was! Looking forward to a repeat visit!

I have to say exceeded my expectations! The cleanliness of the entire Inn was amazing. The owners and staff are so hard working and it shows. We will definitely be going back.

MaryJo made a delicious hot apple cider whisky drink. Sat out by the fire and enjoyed the night! Room is great too! Clean and comfortable.

This was our first time at the Inn, Rick and Carolyn do a great job of making themselves available while also respecting your privacy. A balance I don’t often find well achieved in a B&B setting. Our room was lovely, we were celebrating my wife’s birthday and they had a petite cheesecake ready for us upon arrival, she loved it and it was delicious! All the small comforts they have thought of make such a difference and great care is taken for a clean and inviting room (esp during Covid, we didn’t feel unsafe at all! ) The snacks (cookies, chocolates ect) were so yummy to nibble on while we explored Camden, so much to see within walking distance of the Inn. We didn’t have time to enjoy the fire pit but will be sure to next time! The breakfast was AMAZING. My wife’s a pastry chef and enjoyed everything Rick baked for us and I loved having someone else do the cooking more than I can express! Thank you both for the relaxing kid-free evening we both needed so badly! We will be back for sure :)

Had a wonderful vacation time in this beautiful inn. Absolutely love everything there. The room is spacious, beautifully decorated and have everything that you could possibly needs. The owner Carolyn & Rick and the team are very friendly and welcoming they did their best to help or assist you in anything that you may need. This is by far the BEST b&b I have ever stayed with. Can’t forget to mention the breakfast was delicious and gourmets and we would definitely go back if we are to travel to Camden again. Thank you Carolyn & Rick for everything.

The only regret we had about our stay here was that we didn't stay longer! The room was absolutely amazing with everything we needed and more. Breakfast was huge and so delicious. They went above and beyond from making reservations for us and making sure we had everything we could possibly need. I'll definitely be back.

My husband and I took a mostly unplanned trip to Camden. When our original lodging fell through we saw this Inn. We were so fortunate. The Captain Swift Inn is an experience in warmth, history and cuisine! Thank you Carolyn and Rick for a wonderful time. There was nothing missing. We look forward to returning soon.
