The only complaint was the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but other then that it was great the service was amazing they went above and beyond let me check in a hr early to set up for my granddaughter the breakfast was great and the bed ahhhhh so comfy will deff be back to stay😁😁

Came here for a two night weekend stay. We ended up with room 307 a full size bed they claim to be a queen. The giant mirror when you first walk in the room is broken (real safe for our kids). $750 for two nights and the pull out couch we'd have to have our kids sleep on didn't even have a mattress and my boyfriend had to carry the mattress up to the room himself. The bathroom wasn't thoroughly cleaned as there's trash from a previous customer on the floor like there isn't a pandemic. There's a large spot of paint pealed off the wall. I never have written a bad review in my life but this is really really disappointing.

Very very nasty! Toilet leaks, and was told the handy man had to go for some emergency to other location. Wonder what that emergency was😲😲Had dog poop left by previous guests sit on my balcony for three days. Took multiple reminders to get that taken care off.
The manager literally told me this is the worst hotel anyone can stay! I gues the conversation was over there because he literally told me you guys are screwed up selecting this hotel!

The grab and go breakfast is stupid, (since it has a cookie bar, banana and water. )
They are holding a contingent of scab laborers for the boat industry.

Hotel staff unfriendly & rude. As a essential worker I was denied a room, though they said they have them. They wanted proof of what I did, though I walked in with a full uniform saying, "Filter Pro", a Corporate Lodging Card with my companies name on it. & a picture ID that said Filter Technician. Explained that I change the filters for Hannaford Supermarkets, didn't matter. They wanted a letter or for me to fill out additional paperwork that was unnecessary. Felt like I was in Nazi Germany, that I had to prove who I was & show my papers. I was kicked out, because I refused to do the additional paperwork, that was not required by law and I already felt I proved who I was. Was told by Sonja that I needed to leave her hotel. Went to Freeport Best Western & had no issues. I know 1 Hannaford that had to get pushed because of a over zealous desk clerk. I guess clean air during the COVID-19 crisis doesn't matter to her.

The owners daughter is rude and needs a reality check. Shouldn’t be working at front desk.

My daughter and I love visiting the ocean year round. Yesterday we decided to take a day trip to Popham beach, we made it a mini vacation by booking a room for the night @ the Best Western in Brunswick. The room was a good price, clean, we especially loved the free breakfast!

I would never recommend this hotel looks nice online but not in person staff from the second I walked in seemed unfriendly and the lobby smells like it hadnt been cleaned and / or freshened up in a long time. The smell lingers all through the hotel floors rooms are like from 1960's and even though you have a do not disturb sign on your door the male housekeeper likes to open it and look in we got the "honeymoon suite '' the heart shaped tub barely blew bubbles awful stay 171.50 tourist trap one time customers is all they want and I have been a loyal diamond member of best western for years. I knew I was in for it when at check in she didnt even recognize. I was a diamond member just gave me a key.

We really enjoyed staying here! Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and cost was on point for the area. Special thanks to “Cheryl”, the morning girl who went the extra mile helping with breakfast! Her scones and biscuits were amazing! She is warm and friendly and made sure everyone had what they needed! She especially made our stay enjoyable! We would stay here again!

Had a very good stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Very nice lobby and modern room. Well maintained. The breakfasts are great as well as the staff. Good mid coast location.

Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a family friendly hotel or even a clean hotel. My in-laws and daughter stayed here. Upon arrival the room appeared clean however after getting ready for bed my 4 year old daughter found an empty syringe needle by the bed. Luckily it had a cap however the hotel management seemed to seriously lack concern of how dangerous and serious the situation could have been. After requesting a new room they said they couldn't move them till the next morning and there was no management to speak with regarding the situation. When they finally moved rooms the new room smelled so strongly of marijuana that they had to air it out for hours before they could even bring my daughter in. All the management offered was to give a 20% discount on the room. It wasn't until we contacted the corporate office that they were refunded for their room. With a severe drug problem in the state of Maine you would have thought management would have taken the situation more seriously. The needle could have easily had traces of heroin or fentanyl on it or even could have had hepatitis. We are lucky that this wasn't the case. If you are planning on staying here I would re-evaluate till they hire better cleaning and management staff. The woman we spoke to from corporate was as horrified as we were so hopefully something like this will never be a problem again.

I love this hotel. I look forward to staying here every time I am in town because it is so clean, the staff is incredibly kind, the location is convenient, and the grounds are just lovely. I stay here for approximately 35-40 days a year, and I consider this to be my home away from home. As I said, I just adore this staff. A few word about them: Cheryl — in the breakfast room, is exceptional. She is such a kind and attentive lady who goes far beyond the call of duty, to make sure all of the guests start their day happy and full. She even made homemade blueberry scones on the week of the Fourth of July, with her own blueberries. Pooja and Nee are the kindest front desk staff. They always always always greet me every time I walk in, with a friendly hello and a warm smile. They are more than willing to go out of their way to assist me with whatever I need. I actually looked forward to seeing them each time I would pull into the hotel parking lot. The cleaning staff are phenomenal. They are the kindest folks and they do an amazing job with keeping the hotel and its rooms pristine. It is because of these people I will most certainly be back.

I would not recommend this hotel. We had a two night stay. The hotel staff did not even make our bed or empty the waste baskets. We were gone all day and came back to the way we left the room that morning. When we asked the manager (assistant came to room) all she could say was "sorry". She sent some young girl up to empty waste baskets and bring fresh towels. When we tried to talk to the staff they looked at us like we had two heads. They did not understand English nor did they speak it. Will never stay there again. Very poor.

Great place for a great location. Better than spending 200$/night in some cottage on the islands. Close to shopping and highways as well. Quite location, quite rooms. Breakfast was good, albeit, the same every day.

Beautiful hotel, in a quiet area. No highway noise. The entire place was immaculate, no dirt on floors anywhere that we saw. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Courteous — cleanliness — close to great places. You can tell that this is a cared for property. I love the location. Close to Freeport for shopping. I love eating in downtown Brunswick. Then hop in car for popham beach for a day. Then 45 north the Maine Botanical garden is exquisite. It’s a perfect place to relax and vacation from.

I was so happy with our stay. Clean spacious rooms, dog friendly environment, and awesome breakfast daily. The staff can not be beat from the Front desk to the cleaning personnel. Thank you Best Western.

The check in was super fast, the single queen rooms are huge, the rooms have everything you need! The staff is incredibly friendly! Lots of places to eat nearby from fast food to seafood. Beautiful location and close to scenic spots.

It was my first time there and it was an extremely last minute booking and I wasn't prepared for the stay but the man at the front desk named Nirav was very helpful and resourceful in helping me and my coworkers have a comfortable stay. I would give 6 stars if it were an option because I can't say how thankful I am to Nirav and the Best Western for taking care of us. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Spent the night here while traveling for business. Nice and cozy rooms, ample/well lit parking. The fireplace in the room was kind of a pain in the neck to operate (if you want to adjust it while it's running you have to touch a pretty warm/hot handle to access controls). Instructions would of been helpful since I have never used one before! Staff we're friendly but didn't know what an Ethernet cable was (I needed wired internet and wired internet was advertised on their site) but at least they tried. Overall a nice stay.

This is the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. The mattress was so worn out my back and shoulder are in pain this morning. The rooms aren't overly quiet, there was someone unloading whatever it was at 2am that woke me up. Two stars because they had a room on short notice, but that's now apparent why. Not recommended.

Nice place to stay while in the Brunswick/Portland area with clean quiet rooms and a good breakfast. Great value!

Quite nice accommodations, particularly if you bring your furry friend. They offer dog friendly rooms on the first floor with quick access to the outdoors. Breakfast was great, and one morning they actually came out with freshly baked cinnamon rolls! Highly recommend this hotel!

The people were nice, helpful and friendly. The place was bright and clean. And breakfast was very good. My only problem the pillows were a little stiff for me.

The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were a decent size with a fridge and microwave. However, the hotel could use some TLC. The caulk was sloppy in the bathroom, and there wasn't a lot of attention given to cleanliness in the bathroom — there was mildew under the lower soap dish in the shower, the caulk wasn't clean (stained), the overflow in the sink was dirty, the rim under the toilet was stained and dirty (this was visible just standing at the sink and looking over at the toilet). The sheets were clean, but the beds were very soft and creaky. I wish they would have passed on the decorative throw pillows and runner on the bed, especially since the hotel is pet friendly and these are items that are not likely washed after each patron's stay. The majority of the hotel is carpeted (not sure why hotels pick carpeting over hardwoods or other non-fabric based flooring) including the elevator; and the rooms and hallways could use fresh paint. All in all our experience was good, but additional attention to cleanliness would have gotten them a better rating from me.

Absolutely loved being here. Very relaxing, great breakfast and there prices were great.

Nice hotel, clean but a bit dated. Staff was super polite and helpful. The hotel is not in the middle of town, but only 2 or 3 minutes to town and like a half mile off route 1. This meant the rates were considerably less than the other hotels. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. There is even an indoor pool which was a nice bonus! Overall I was very pleased with my time there and if I ever need a hotel in the Bath Brunswick area again I am calling this place first for my family and myself and I would recommend everyone and anyone to do the same!

Stayed during the great Power Outage of 2017… This place is smart, they have a backup generator and are the go-to place for locals to stay when storms take life's comforts away. Rooms are clean and pleasant, staff is very helpful and friendly even when guests are rude. Nice hot breakfast every morning and the hotel is pet friendly, which is key for emergency shelter during a storm.

The room was really nice and had a great soaker bath. There was a lot of variety in the free breakfast, but the hot items (eggs, bacon, sausage) were not hot and tasted like they had been sitting there for hours. I ended up throwing it away and going to Macdonald's. There was an extra $65 charge on my credit card. When I asked the receptionist she said she didn't see the charge and couldn't do anything about it, only the manager could. She was really quite abrupt and rude.

We stay at this hotel whenever we go to Maine to see family. The staff is very friendly and we are always satisfied with the room and the breakfast which is included. We bring our dog with us whenever we can, and having this a pet friendly hotel works perfectly for us.

It's an average hotel. The breakfast was nice. Beds were comfy, and hopefully clean. I appreciated the antibacterial remote control and single use cups in the room. A couple downsides were that the outlets were difficult to reach for overnight device charging and the toilet was clogged and they there wasn't anyone on staff this weekend to fix it.

We have stayed here several times when traveling with our dog. The pet friendly rooms are clean with convenient outdoor access. Breakfast in the morning is always good with plenty of variety.

Always enjoy staying at this hotel. The staff is always friendly and helpful to all your needs. At breakfast Stacy is the one who starts your day off with a smile. The front desk is there for your every need. Your close to everything. The rooms are clean and very comfortable.

My daughter and her family stayed there recently and were treated horribly. I am extremely disappointed in this hotel and will never recommend it or stay there if we had to. They are on a cross country trip from Seattle Washington to Maine then on to their next duty station. They stayed at all BW coming across the states and all the others were wonderful, clean and friendly. Very sad my daughter comes to her home town with her family and has a terrible experience at the last BW on their trip. The staff including one of the managers were rude and unfriendly. They got back there last night and asked for some towels and was very rudely told "No we don't have any". How does a hotel not have any towels? They asked at the same time about extending their stay and was told "that's not possible" though the desk clerk never checked. When checking out today they were never asked how was their stay or thanked for staying there. Living in Brunswick the majority of my life that particular hotel has always had a bad reputation. Thought it had changed once BW took it over. I wouldn't be surprised if BW pulled out as I can't imagine them wanting to have this type of place associated with their name.

Stayed one night in a two bed room with three people. Room was clean and had enough space. In a nice location in Bath, just off of route 1, and close by the hospital and shopping centers. Just a 10 minute drive to downtown Brunswick. Overall a very positive experience.

We loved this place the staff was friendly and informative. The Breakfast offered many options that were prepared beautifully. The pool was very nice liked the waterfall feature. The rooms are much larger then usual which is nice. The location is great. You can open your windows in room and its quiet.

This hotel is very friendly. It is not only people-friendly that is also dog friendly. The continental breakfast in the morning is great. The help there is so helpful and kind and the continents of Reckless has pretty much anything you want and it's fresh. The rooms were large and clean and the pool was great to go to with my grandchildren who live in Brunswick that I go to see. I highly recommend this place.

As a local, I have not stayed here. However, on rainy days when the beach is not an option, this is a nice place to go swimming. The pool is small, but has waterfalls which children love to play under and around.

I enjoyed everything about my stay except for the bed. It was too firm for me and left me with back aches. The staff was friendly and helped me right away when I had a problem with the phone in my room. The breakfast that is offered is really great. There is such a large selection of food… scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, biscuits, cereals, waffles, fruit, yogurt, pastries and more! Great location too!

Good experience, not thrilled about paying for a cot or the fact that there are never towels available in the pool but overall it was a good stay.

What a pleasant surprise! We only spent one night and it was such a relief not to worry about arrangements for the pup. The buffet breakfast was great, the location was ideal in it's close proximity to Bowdoin. Thank you!

Very nice hotel! The rooms were amazing! I was shocked when I saw the bathroom and how modern it was. The pool was very nice and the only thing I wish they had was a hot tub. The staff was super nice and the breakfast was delicious! Highly recommend this hotel.
