Easy drive from casino and if needed they have a shuttle service. Clean hotel. Rooms were on the small side but no complaints. Breakfast was decent. Prices seemed a bit high for what it was but you are pretty much pay for location convenience.

Nice place for a very short stay. Room smelled a little musty and although it's non-smoking could still smell the scent of cigarettes. Pleasant service the bonus was the shuttle to Mohegan Sun very convenient less than 5 minutes from the hotel.

Great hotel. Big mirrors on the walls over the bed. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. And they have the best pillows! If they had a pool and a shuttle to foxwoods would of been 5 starts. They do have a shuttle to Mohegan I just prefer fox woods.

I would stay again. Everything was great. The only trouble was when I was waiting for a phone call to my room which never came, because there was no one at the front desk answering and transferring the call. I even tried calling the front desk from my room, and also for no answer.

Great for groups. If You actual want to have a great nite with just your other, plan ahead for the casino hotel. Micro is the best price around and cont breakfast gratus. Sells out every sat.

Quick check in and check out. Friendly helpful staff. Extra bedding and towels provided quickly. Knowledgeable about local restaurants and attractions. Shuttle to casino was very convenient we didn't drive at all between check in and check out.

Best place to stay for those who on a budget. Its near by both casino Mohegan Sun & Foxwoods, and many attractions places. Easy location to find Microtel. Been there many times. Never had a issues with them.

For a Micro Motel it was an awesome experience I would rate it at four and a half Stars easily very nice and clean and employees was more than friendly I had an awesome experience.

The Microtel Inn, pretty awesome rooms really close to the casino. Close to food close to a gas station and close to a grocery store. A little bit of trouble with the washer and dryer but the front desk was able to accommodate us and take care of everything that we needed. Which was really helpful because the tenant said I was moving out of my house had left it in a complete disaster and uninhabitable for an extra four days while my family had to stay there so I can put them there. Thanks again for all your help you made our stay even more relaxing then I thought it was going to be.

Very nice hotel for a cheaper stay but a luxury feel. The rooms could be a bit bigger but the friendliness and professionalism of the staff make up for this. The room seemed very clean. My only problem with this place is the location. It's sort of in a weird spot that you would not expect of a hotel. Not much within 5-10 min but a lot within 30 minutes.

Had a great experience here. The prices were great (check out Groupon), staff was accomidating, and the hotel was clean. Will be staying here when I'm in the area!

The rooms are nice. The staff is very friendly. They offer shuttle to the casino.

Decent spot and a reasonable price. Decent sized room smelled strongly of cleaning perfumes but I left the door open to the hall to air it out. The front desk staff were responsive and friendly. I chose it because of the free shuttle to and from the airport. The shuttle service is actually a taxi service. The Wi-Fi is good, bathrooms are clean, and vending machines are wildly overpriced ($2 for a soda?! ). With both the taxi service and the room, you get what you pay for.

The people who work there are very welcoming and considerate. The rooms are nice as well, my only complaint would be the lighting in the rooms, ours was pretty dim. We only stayed for 1 night but it was very nice.

Great location, very close to Mohegan Sun and absolutely worth staying there instead of the casino. Free breakfast for guests. Rooms are nice and roomy. Service was nice and quick for a one night stay. The only bummer is they don't sell beer at the hotel, but that didn't take away from the stay.

Simple but clean efficiency suites with friendly and helpful staff. That said, this is NOT a hotel you stay at unless all your plans are at the casino. There are very few options for food or other typical 24-hour needs unless you're at the casino. Otherwise it's a great option for a budget trip to the casino!

Awesome and friendly staff. Super clean! If anything was off or needed attending they were RIGHT on it. Definitely recommend this place. Perfect for the money and super close to all amenities.

Good location close to casino. Convenient shuttle to/from casino every 15 minutes until 2am. Rooms are small but nice. A bit pricey but cheaper than staying at casino hotel.

I enjoyed the free shuttle to and from Mohegan. The rooms however, could have been cleaner. There were crumbs all over the floor and our blankets had stains on them — we went down to ask for extra ones because we didn't want to use the ones on the bed. The bathroom had dust everywhere around the toilet and in the toilet paper holder was full of dust and debris. The hallways stunk like throw up on the second floor the whole time we were there. It was pretty nauseating. The beds though were very comfortable, my friends even bought some pillows. If I had another opportunity to try it out in a cleaner room I would.

Pleasantly surprised but… Micro really sums up the room. Small but nicely appointed. Good for one night but not much longer. We slept well — even with a room facing the road and on the first floor. Cobwebs in the recessed light fixtures in the guest room were not reassuring. Breakfast was OK. Limited selections and the waffles did not cook through evenly. Front desk staff were pleasant and responsive. They removed the "optional" $1.50 per night room safe fee without argument.

Stayed a couple nights, room was very spacious. Found about 7 ants the first night and while looking for the source, there was some old dried up food under the cabinets. The next day I went to the front desk and they told me that the ants were there because they just put new mulch down. How the mulch ants got to the third floor I don't know (maybe they took the elevator? ) And then they told me that sometimes guests leave food in the room and there isn't much they can do about that. (Um maybe thoroughly clean your rooms? )

Everything was very nice except the lobby was too small for continental breakfast or to check in. Bed is soft. Staff is nice enough. Did not like the safe fee they put on your bill automatically. You have to make sure you tell them you didn't use it at the end date of your stay or you will get charged for it. Concession stand is also a bit pricey. I payed 6 bucks for 2 bottles of water. Convenient that it is near casinos. Free Wi-Fi is nice.

Loved this place, Clean, close proximity to Mohegan, Foxwoods and Mystic. Courteous staff that go out of their way! Beds and pillows were very comfy! Free shuttle to Mohegan. The only thing missing was a little sitting area outside, maybe a few chairs and tables to enjoy the nice weather.

Enjoyed my stay at Microtel Inn & Suites. I was impressed by how appealing and comfy the room was; it was well structured. The space was big enough, not at all stuffy. Amenities included fridge, microwave, TV, Iron & board, small island table with sink that stood between the queen beds. Honestly really loved the room, it was well set-up. The only reason I don't rate it with 5-stars is due to crawling critters I encountered in the bathroom both of my two nights I stayed. Overall, friendly staff and pleasant stay.

If you need to go to Mohegan Sun this place is definitely a good value. Mohegan Sun can be expensive and if you go for work like I did when I stayed there you can actually save yourself some money. Clean, nice friendly staff and the shuttle is quick.

Comfortable beds, clean rooms, breakfast ends way to early given the check out time and no food is available after checkout. The kitchenette in the middle of the room acts a a nice patition.

Hotel room itself is fine, however the staff cannot be trusted. I left behind my diamond studs (a gift from my husband) and just after checking out called to explain they had been left behind and the front desk said they would look. They told me I must not have left them where I said I did, because they could not find them. I put them in a very specific place within the room as to not lose them and I know I left them in the exact spot.

We reserved two suites for a bachelorette party. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The shuttle started running to Mohegan at 4 and the last one left at 1:50 (but the staff let us know beforehand that if we wanted to stay later than that, there was a 24/7 taxi that would cost $7 back to the hotel. Staff was very friendly and it was super convenient! Would go back again, although the breakfast was disappointing and the eating area was very small.

The hotel itself was clean. That being said, we booked a suite with double queen beds. To my surprise it was medium sized room with two beds and a 'kitchenette' in between the two beds. Microtel is a fitting name. Other than that it surved its purpose of a place for me and my friends to pregame and pass out after the casino.

Booked a room for one night, specifically for the shuttle to mohegan sun. Front desk said there was no driver but they would get me a taxi. I'm not sure what happened but the taxi driver was a psycho… on the way back from casino he was speeding and driving recklessly. He had his seat so far there was no room for my sisters legs. He appeared pissed off because he had to go into hotel to get paid by front desk. The hotel should NOT USE THIS TAXI COMPANY if their drivers are driving unsafe!

I booked a room there because there was a shuttle to the casino. Upon arrival we were told there wasn't, & that we could call a taxi & they would be there within 20 mins. & the hotel would pay for it. Taxis both ways were going to be over an hr. So we had to use Uber.

Stayed here on a business trip and will definitely be my last. It is cheaper then its surrounding competitors (92.00 per night) but for a reason. Like the other post suggest, this area likes to scam it's guest. The manager there accused me for damages that I did not commit and charged my card for said damages (Hours after I left). The cheap price may attract you but be aware, it is cheap for a reason and they will scam you. Safe yourself a headache and money.

Worst hotel ever all they wanna do is rob you for your money if you throw down a cash security deposit they will go on to find little excuse to keep your security deposit and there rooms are disgusting I expected when a new tendant walks in theres suppose be new sheets I had to request new sheets they couldnt even do there job in changing them I dont request this hotel to nobody worst hotel ever.

Absolutely fantastic if you're planning a trip to Mohegan. The rooms were clean, affordable, and spacious, and the staff as a whole were friendly and welcoming. We did not encounter one unpleasant circumstance throughout the duration of our trip. The shuttle service is wonderful for taking you back and forth from the casino (altogether about a 5 minute trip). And the continental breakfast, while limited, was a nice touch the morning we left. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Here with my wife and 8 year old daughter. Can't say enough good things about staying here. Clean, quiet, comfortable and safe. Room was 75 bucks and worth every penny. Free breakfast was actually edible and free shuttle to Mohegan Sun was staffed with friendly driver. If you're traveling on a budget you won't beat this place. August 2011.

The room was clean, inexpensive, and close to Mohegan. But the staff was just about the most unhappy rude group of employees I've ever run across. We even asked if it was company policy to be so rude. To which I received some incoherent grunt. But to their defense when we reported the problem to the management at check out she was very nice and professional and made amends to everyone’s satisfaction.
