Terrible experience! Would not tell anyone to stay here. We walked in and walked right out. Floor was sticky, room was dirty, out the back window there was a dirty old mattress in the yard and there were flies in the room. No one should stay here!

We reserved a room on a Friday. After driving 2 hours we arrived and they say sorry get out we already rented that room. They said you have the wrong place and I look down and there is my girlfriends name and credit card. I show him and he takes it and crumbles it up and stuffed it in his pocket. I said dive me the paper with her credit card number and we will find another place. He says get the f*** out. At this point we call the police and they arrive and then all of a sudden they can’t speak any English. They ask him if he had our info and he says no. At this point the officer pats him down and finds the paper in his pocket with her credit card info. They take it and ask if we want to press charges. We decline and just want the paper. We went and got another room but what a crazy experience. All he had to do was give us the paper with our card number and we were gone. Don’t go here ever there crooks!

Unlevel floors, musty smell, fridge smells of mold, AC is broken, one of three lights are Burt out, beds are extremely too soft and old… But it was a clean room, besides that, not very happy.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GET A ROOM HERE! THEY ARE INFESTED WITH BED BUGS! They have beds piled in the back where you can only see them if you have a room and go on the back staircase they gave us NO warning of bed bugs we didnt find out until recently and are removing and cleaning all of our stuff! Worst place I have ever stayed!

If you are looking for a quick getaway for the weekend or even in the weekday, their prices are great and the area is beautiful since the Stonington borough is right down road and there is so much to see around here. In terms of the motel, they are clean, renovated and have definitely upgraded from when I last visited.

You get what you pay for. It amazes me when people review a budget motel as if it is supposed to be the Ritz Carlson or Four Seasons. Our room was clean and appeared to be recently renovated. We paid $56.35 including taxes and we're very happy that we picked this place. I would have felt $89 was still a bargain. We will stay here again.

Smelled like a combination of fish and a horse barn. The owners have discarded furniture piled up outside the door to the rooms. Small room with cigarette burns in the blankets. Windows don’t stay open, only one outlet in the room worked, and the power went out off and on. The walls were so paper thin you could hear if your neighbors so much as whispered. The good things were the bed was comfortable and the TV had a lot of channels. I really can’t over emphasize the horrible stench. It’s definitely worth it to spend more money on a halfway decent room.

Stayed a wewk. The maid always skipped cleaning our room. Affordable.

This place is awful, need handicap rooms on 1st floor none, rooms are freezing windows are drafty, rooms and hallway smelled like mold and to top it off bed bugs. We slept in our car.

Don’t book a room here. Long black hairs all over room, huge cockroach in closet, rotting bathroom ceiling, cigarette burn holes on bed sheets of a NO smoking room, black stains all over pillows and the shower drain was clogged. Also creepy men were waiting outside with a truck and a boat ALL night and didn’t have a room, they just stayed outside and made comments about my family. Doesn’t feel safe at all and I do not recommend.

Owner (wife) is very rude. I was put on the 2nd floor in a room the hadn't been renovated, still had old, grungy carpet to say the least, while there where rooms that had been sitting vacant.

The price of this hotel was cheap and yielded a cheap room. The air conditioning did not work particularly well, the shower was tiny, and the toilet was so close to the wall you could not sit on it properly. To top it all off, the room had a funky smell.

Bathroom is small kind of smells And a little further from the beach then I thought and their are quite a few bugs in the room but the lady who is at the front desk is really nice and helpful. And you can't beat the price. But who spends there time in the room when on vacation?

America's Best Value Inn — Stonington/Mystic is a no frills, super affordable hotel. It is dated, older, and the property is currently for sale but it seems the current owners are working on updating the rooms slightly. The beds were comfortable and the atmosphere was comfortable. No pool, no coffee maker in room, and old tube styled TV without any premium channels. This isn't surprising considering the price. My husband and I only needed a room for the evening as a layover for work travel and it was perfect for what we needed it for. If you're looking for an extended stay of more than a day or two or are traveling with children, you may want to wait until after the property is sold and renovated. We enjoyed our stay and the check in and out process was convenient.

Nice location between westerly, RI and Mystic, CT. Very small but perfectly clean budget hotel. Nothing fancy but certainly not a dump either.

The heat was turned off so the room was freezing. The room stunk. The bathroom sink had residue on it from past people. Bathroom floors had stuff all over it. The comforter smelt horrible. I had to sleep with just the sheet. And the chain locks on the doors were broken.

Had to switch rooms. 1st room reeked of mold and almost put my foot thru the rotted bathroom floor. 2nd room mutch better but don't expect mutch from this place.

Our room smelled like mold, there was water damage and stains on the sheets. Avoid this like this plague. These people don't care about customers and are simply banking off the fact that they are close to Westerly, RI.

Rates were what got me there. The bathroom had cracked tiles on the floor and the toilet was awkward to sit on as it was too close to the wall. But I will return for location and rates were good! Very nice town or borough!

Not clean, over priced, run down, smells old and musty, shower tiny and got backed up, small sink with no counter space, bathroom door doesn't close well, patches on ceiling, old TV, no breakfast as advertised, no room cleaning service.

The room was very comfortable & clean. The ad online said there was breakfast, but there wasn't, but that was ok, because I had brought my own food for breakfast, as I have allergies. I wish I could tell them to get different soap, because the stuff they had was too drying, but again ok, because I brought my own. Anyway, there weren't that many people when I was there, and they left space between me and other guests, which made it especially quiet, which was nice. I would definitely go back — — and the price was very good because it was off season.
