The rooms are clean and as expected, but what sets this from others is the family owned friendliness of the front desk staff. We stayed there a second time specifically because of how nice and helpful the owner and his front desk staff was the first time. The second time proved it was not just an accident. They were just as friendly as the first time. I have put this in our favorites on the map as the place we will stay when we make our trips through the area. A couple close restaurants and gas stations and its proximity to the highway make it a good get-off-get-back-on-the-highway spot. Out the door of a King size non smoking room including tax was $86.24.

Our stay at super 8 was a very super. My daughter and me had one night stay and was warmly greeted with Mr. Mike the manager he was a kind and caring gentlemen. Mr Justin who warmly helped to give us the directions of nearby attraction. He was very courteous and willingly to give us all what we needed The room was decent and clean I would certainly recommend to my friends.

Decent price for a bed to sleep in a shower and a clean room. The only issue was the enamel chipping from around the tub.

This place is much better than the motel 6 down the road I can tell you that. Staff is friendly and the rooms are much much nicer.

The hotel is pretty good. The room is very large, confortable and clean. But what makes the diference is Bob, the manager. Very nice, polite and helpfull. I use to travel a lot, to several countries and I never was so good treatead like I was ar this hotel! O hotel é muito confortável, quartos grandes e muito limpos. Mas o que faz a diferença é o gerente Bob. Super simpático, educado e pronto a ajudar. Excelente! Vale a pena.

Wonderful staff. Very, very clean. Great value. Quiet place, next door to On the Border, and Dakota Steakhouse restaurants. You can walk to them! And Super 8 is pet friendly.

Located right off interstate. Rooms were clean. Staff was very accommodating.

I've stayed at this hotel many times. The rooms are clean and spacious. The staff are friendly and will go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. EXCEPTIONAL front desk staff! Thank you.

Decent place to spend a night or 2 decent sized room.

This hotel COULD HAVE received a near perfect rating, but two things undermined that and ruined my experience here — STRIKE 1: I was threatened with a $25 dollar late checkout after requesting a measly noon check out which is simply UNJUST, uncalled for and an unnecessary policy set by the unscrupulous hotel owner. Your standard CHECK-IN time across the board is 3pm. Maids WILL NOT be done (trust me) until that time. Most folks head out anyway about morning noon time. It is unnecessary to rush customers out. Financially threatening your guests will HURT your business in the end. **This is something I can guarantee**. So quit with that nonsense. I already paid and I'm getting LESS than 24 hours in your crummy establishment. If I wasn't a Wyndham Diamond member, this rude snarky woman probably would not have recinded that threat. STRIKE 2- Very poor water pressure so I didn't get a good shower. A great shower is something I NEED in the morning. Nothing gets your rear end moving faster then that (and coffee)! If your shower heads are spitting out a low flow rate, that's prolonging your time in the shower and thus, your time in the room. Correct? So your water pressure is SELF DEFEATING. This is another GREEDY move by a GREEDY hotel property. I don't feel "valued" by them whatsoever. So buyer beware.

The staff is very attentive. Everyone was always smiling and always acknowledged me! Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Would definitely recommend!

Booked a 1 Night stay here and I must say the rooms were very spacious and clean for a motel! Definitely not what I was expecting considering motels are usually small. The front desk staff was very friendly. Although the room I stayed in had a very musty/moldy strange odor it was still a very nice stay at a super affordable rate! But unfortunately I can't give 5 stars because the smell was a bit terrible but other than that everything else was good! This hotel was nice enough to offer a military discounted rate which is super appreciated! The continental breakfast was pretty good, they served bagels, cereal, yogurt, danishes, oatmeal and very tasty coffee :). Thank you super 8

The front desk girl said she didnt want to deal with costumers that are upset because she messed up and charged the card twice… then they want to lie and said they didnt… I called the bank and of course she charged the card twice now I have to deal with my bank wait ten days because of her lack of knowledge and effort … horrible service … future customers BEWARE!

For the price, I would expect a better quality. The hotel is very old, run down. Beds are old and sqeeky, the tub is chipping apart, the bedding is covered with holes and cigarette burns, very musty dirty smell, furniture out dated and broken to sit on. However, staff is very nice and accommodating, you can smell the cleanliness of the sheets and pillow cases while laying on them and yes the rooms are clean, to the best of their ability.

We had a problem with Expedia and made a reservation that wasn't available. We got to the front desk late and Jason was amazing and helped us figure everything out and make sure we were taken care of even though the fault was with Expedia. He was very busy as the hotel was booked but did everything he could to make sure we got the last available room that was more than what we paid but he worked it out for us. We were very grateful we didn't have to find a room in Rocky Hill when most places were booked for Memorial Day weekend.

Really good cheap hotel. Customer service was outstanding and the rooms were tidy. Within walking distance of a few restaurants as well. Would recommend if you want somewhere nice and cheap to stay.

Room was clean and roomy. Fridge and microwave were handy. Hallway stuffy and carpet needs cleaning. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Great restaurants in walking distance.

I'm traveling from Canada to NYC. Needed a really clean bed to sleep for a few hours. I did read the reviews and felt comfortable for booking. However the reason I am giving a two stars is the customer service Kathy from front desk provided. Her customer service skills lack. She was very judgmental and had negative connotations about the surrounding hotels having drugs and low level prostitutes. Then after midnight all I saw was younger women with older intoxicated men and smoking crystal meth from a pipe next door to me. Now it's non of my business in people's personal lifestyle preference. However "Kathy" the front desk judgmental uptight receptionist was extremely unprofessional and cold. She needs to learn not to gossip and being competitive. Learn how to smile and greet. Also be warm and inviting. Constructional feedback.

To the man saying some posts were fake I hope you weren't referring to mine. My review was 100% real AND true. Who doesn't remember the name of someone who shows great customer service! Stayed there 8 months ago and I still remember Justin! I loved my stay and enjoyed it very much! The employees working at the front were extremely nice making me enjoy my stay even more! I also enjoyed waking up every morning so I could to get some breakfast!

I read the reviews before coming and and they weren't lying. This is one of the best hotels I've been to. The service is impeccable. When I checked out they even asked to make sure I grabbed all my phone chargers (which is a bad habit that I do) before we left. Really great hotel.

Rooms are basic but good enough for a buisness trip. Work out rooms small but functuonal. 'Buisness center' is a small desk in the corner of a backnroom. Good enough to get things done however. Lots of options in the area for eating am entertainment.

The guy that works there in the wheel chair was very rude. Put me in tears and made me feel like I was scum because I was having a hard time paying for the pet fee of 17 dollars a day. I ended up leaving because of him. He was friendly when the owners were around but when they leave he is very disrespectful. Because of him I will never go back. And I can only give 1 star. Hope they get rid of him or catch how he treats people.

A two star hotel that is a four star in my book. Can't say enough good about this Super 8… the best Super 8 I have ever stayed at. Plan to stay again soon. Personal getaway and close enough to the Bushnell in Hartford to see a play too.

I loved it and enjoyed my stay very much! The employees working at the front were extremely nice making me enjoy my stay even more! I also enjoyed waking up every morning I could to get some breakfast!

Justin, the manager and Bob, the representative was very nice to me making my vacation stay comfortable. The room and the continental breakfast was very good. This is my second reservation with Super 8 Hartford South-Rocky Hill. I have no complaints. Keep up with the good customer service Justin and Bob.

I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars, but the "sorry" response from the front desk staff didn't go over well with me. I wanted to take a bath, but the tub stopper has been removed, Mario at rhe front desk chuckled and told me "sorry" when I stated that it seemed like I would not be able to take a bath during my stay. The only vending machine on site was broken and I was too exhausted from travel to drive out to find food. I commented that the only thing that I could find to eat there were my 4 creamer cups… her response was: "Sorry! " No saltines or anything that they have for the breakfast bar? Sheesh. I wanted to leave 5 stars, but couldn't bring myself to do it — sorry!

Never thought I would be giving a cheap hotel a 5 star. But here it is. Great staff, clean room, good price. For $70 a night we expect much less. This place is worth twice the price.
