Taking a family VK for a 21st birthday, my aunt reserved this hotel through the same company she works at back home in Maine. The front desk receptionist, Dave, has been the absolute WORST staff I've ever dealt with in any hotel I've ever stayed in. We first checked in, Dave refused to give us the hotel for the rate we had printed out from her company he kept us waiting because he said the guests were more important to take care of than us (because my aunt is an employee) we are guests in this hotel like anyone else. Dave then told us he had only been working here for a week. (We then found out he LIED and actually co manages the hotel with his sister) We've had this reserved for 2 months. He actually CANCELED our reservation after arguing with us for over an hour then refused us over and over again without any actual reason. Dave would not let us speak to a manager even though we asked multiple times. He then told us he wasn't going to speak to us, and actually ignored us until we finally got the GM from Maine to contact him and he then gave us a room after 1&1/2 hours of waiting for a room we already had reserved. The room was disgusting, bugs all over the windowcil, every corner of the room has either crumbs, hair or dirt in it. The shower had hair in it and the toilet paper rolls were half gone, the ice bucket was DISGUSTING and 10 inches from the toilet… The bed actually had some type of bug in the sheets! The next morning we asked for towels and more toilet paper, Dave overheard us speaking to the cleaner, and spoke up to say you already have 4 towels in your room why do you need more? Then my aunt and mother went to get breakfast from their breakfast bar to bring back to us in the room. We thought this was okay because they saw 2 couples bringing back food. Once we started back to the room Dave interrupted and told us breakfast wasn't allowed back in the rooms… we spoke to a very nice woman who was refilling the breakfast bar and she informed us we actually are indeed able to bring food back to the room… Now I have NEVER dealt with this type of disrespect in my entire life, especially when my aunt works in the same company! How do you treat a guest like this let alone an employee? I highly reccomend you do not stay in this hotel.
