This hotel is so beautiful and serene. The grounds are perfectly manicured and the spa is beyond relaxing. The staff is attentive to your needs and make you feel very welcomed.

The Grace Mayflower is second to none. The facilities and grounds are beautiful — extremely well manicured and peaceful. And they nail all of the little details. My fiance and I had a great meal at the dining room (try their drinks), and visited the spa as well. The spa is truly special. We had a fantastic massage and spent the next few hours in the pool, sauna, and relaxation areas. We will definitely be back. It's an easy drive up from NYC. We made it in under 2 hours.

We discovered this by accident, but loved every minute. A wonderful retreat close to home. We'll definitely be back. Beautiful setting and attentive staff.

The Grace Mayflower is absolutely beautiful! It is the perfect weekend getaway. The spa is spectacular and the property is gorgeous. The food is great, and the staff is so helpful and welcoming. So many great hikes in the surrounding area, as well!

We love the Grace Mayflower inn and spa and the lovely staff that made our wedding a dream come true. We fell in love with the Grace a few years ago when we were visiting family in CT. We spent a few days and decided that it was our “secret spot” to getaway. So, when we started planning our wedding, we did not waste time looking around. We knew this was our spot. The service and attention to detail is impeccable. I believe it surpasses expectation. The staff is so well mannered, lovely and so personable. Thank you, Allison “Alli” Fodor for working with our planner and making this dream come true. I cannot rave enough about Allison, Michael, Peter to name a few. Everything was perfect… from the tasting, to the rehearsal dinner, to the cocktail hour, the day of and finally our Eaton suite which was prepped so beautifully. This review does not do justice to the experience we, our family and friends experienced. This was an unbelievable experience that will be cherished for a lifetime. Thank you!

The Inn is charming and immaculate Gorgeous setting. Attentive service. Lunch was wonderful. Will go back for drinks on the veranda and to see the lovely grounds.

As much as I hate to write this review I feel the need for everyone to be forewarned about the Grace Mayflower Inn and Spa. On December of 2016 my Wife and I along with our two Daughters booked a Suite and Spa package at the Inn. It was just after Christmas and my Wife’s Birthday was on the28th. On the 27th we told her we were taking her to lunch only to lead her into a guest room where gifts awaited her along with two full days of Spa treatments. She was so excited and happy she started to cry. We loved the Inn and always thought it to be a magical place. She started her first day at the Spa one hour after we surprised her. We drove her up the hill and walked her In. Then the girls and I left to do some shopping in town. Later that evening my Wife returned feeling relaxed and energized from her day at the Spa. We had dinner at the Hotel Restaurant then went to our room to settle in. The following day we all walked her up the hill for her second day at the Spa. The Girls and I went to have breakfast and the Wife called me thanking me from the Spa. She said you won’t believe who’s sitting right next to me… Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck! She was so excited because she loved them both. So here’s where the magical place turned into a nightmare. As part of my Wife’s Spa package she had the basic facial. Just around lunch they called her in for her facial. The girls and I were to pick her up after lunch to then go to my Moms in Woodbury.

I would love to stay a few days because it is beautiful. The staff were friendly, personable and absolutely wonderful. Food and drinks delicious. I look forward to seeing this place in the light.

My wife wanted to stop in to take pictures of the facility and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Just wonderful all around! I️ booked a couple nights as a quick getaway for my wife and I️ as a surprise and had a lot of pressure on my shoulders because my past record for choosing destinations has been very poor. Lol. Needless to say my wife couldn’t have been happier and we are already looking forward to a future stay :)

What to know: This former all-boys boarding school is an idyllic getaway, located in Washington, Connecticut on 58 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland. How to Get There: Take the Metro North to Brewster, about a scenic 45-minute ride from the hotel. What to Do: Stay in the newly-renovated Allerton Cottage which is right next door to the world-class spa designed by Randall A. Ridless, which glows in white like a scene from C. S. Lewis’s Narnia. Here, you can snack away, sit on the plush furniture and throws, or relax in the waiting room and gaze at the blue heron pond. If time permits, walk on the grounds that include a lovely Shakespeare garden and a poetry maze. A 10-minute drive off property puts you in Woodbury, the antiques capital of Connecticut, and there are vineyards like Hopkins Vineyard in New Preston, and Haight-Brown Vineyard in Litchfield where you can swirl a nice glass of honey nut apple wine.

Had a great visit. Staff professional and friendly as always. Drank a lovely glass of Sancerre on a lovely summer day.

Very up scale when I want to impress.

What a beautiful estate and hotel. The service is so incredible and the staff is kind, warm and friendly. More than that — they are knowledgeable. The food is excellent as well. A must stay!

One of the very few places where you feel terrific as you burn money :). The staff is exceptional, the spa among the best in existence. The proximity to Community Table also a plus! Truly a great 4 season escape.

I will never come here again. Used to be amazing under previous ownership but, its very clear Grace is about cheaper products with the illusion of luxury. I would literally recommend any another Inn in the area. I would go as far to say I would prefer a run down days-inn to this over priced wasteland. Drive past it, go to GW tavern for food or the White Horse. Better food for a lower price. Service sucks and management is a joke from what I can tell.

Grounds are well kept. Food is satisfying. Not too much food to make you feel like you will explode, but not so little that you walk away still hungry.

We ate in the bar room which is cozy and comfortable. I'm a local and know that the prices are in part to maintain some sort of exclusivity, however, you'd think you'd get better quality and value for this price. First off, a bread basket with bagel chips, really? There were also nicer whole grain selection. The oysters were fresh but at almost $4 a piece a bit over the top. The real problem occurred in with the main course. The aged Delmonico steak was cooked perfectly and to the chef's credit came without a steak knife (didn't need it). BUT, it was drowned in butter and blue cheese and had WAY too much fat on it that should have been trimmed off. The preparation overwhelmed any of the subtle flavors that should have been there for an aged cut of beef. The biggest disappointed came with the Maine lobster. At $45 I expect to get the meat of a whole lobster. What we got looked like meat of 2 partial, and very small claws plus only a small portion of tail meat. If the length of this tail meat was representative of the lobster, it was an illegally caught undersized one. I don't mind spending for a good meal and have paid much higher tabs than this one, but Mayflower needs to really work on providing quality for these prices and not rest on their laurels.

The Mayflower exceeded all expectations. The spa is the finest I have experienced in CT. The spa service menu is the most comprehensive I have seen. Although even if you do not have a service you can enjoy the classes, water therapy, relaxation rooms and the pool kept very warm. The Inn rooms are extremely spacious with no musty smell often found in older colonial homes in New England. The full size product line is the room is upscale. The grounds are beautiful in the winter as well. Lastly the dining, every meal was perfect. Not inexpensive but not excessively expensive and worth every bit of the cost. Gracious staff, pleasant and accommodating but not intrusive. I highly recommend.

Excellent food, superb service and a charming environment. If you're looking for a nice, but more casual experience, book in the bar instead of the main dining room. The prices are extremely high, but for a special occasion or a treat, it's worth it.

My experience at The Mayflower Inn recently was wonderful except for a few aspects. The courtesy of the staff to me and my wife was wonderful, and exceeded any expectations we had about being welcomed. We were treated as casual guests in a quaint inn, rather than another customer at an upscale, uptight, hotel. Almost everything was perfect except one rather large issue I had with the property. There was no one available to greet me or anyone at the fitness center main desk. Not only were there two gyms on property, neither one had someone maintaining the area, or standing by to assist with any questions. There was confusion as to what gym to use, where they were, and how to get there. But when I finally did, there was a desk, with classes available, machines that could be used, but no one to check you in, or teach you how to use a machine or give information on a fitness class being offered. Being in the generation where being fit is king, everyone is working on their physique. On cruise ships, in hotels, and even some motels, they have a gym attendant ready and waiting to answer questions about health and wellness, however the Mayflower Inn did not. I believe it would behoove the Mayflower Inn to add a fitness inspired employee to their task force. With that someone going the extra mile for others, it would greatly improve the Inn as a whole as well as bring the property up to date with today's most modern conveniences.

Gotta say the Mayflower Inn and Spa is a must see when visiting New England Had a great time during my stay and Dinner was TOP NOTCH! John Denner.
