Ordered a fantastic take out dinner. Their special prize fixe/3 courses. So tasty and fresh. Perfectly cooked. And the desserts… wow! Highly recommend.
The wonderful dinner Jorge Payne and I enjoyed last night. We ordered from the online menu prepared by Kristofer Rowe at the and Thistle in Old Lyme. Our first course was a delightfully fresh Cesar Salad garnished with anchovies and Parmesan cheese crisps; the dressing was thoughtfully provided in two separate containers so we could toss the salad to our taste. Absolutely delicious! Second course was another appetizer of home made hummus with warmed olives; there was so much we were able to save half for the next day. This creamy concoction was served up with warm nann bread which was perfect to scoop up the olives and hummus. Onto our mains; again generous servings allowed us to have leftovers for our lunch the next day. Jorge had the smoked pork loin BLT and I enjoyed the blackened fish tacos. Our desserts were included for free as a promotion as the gets setup to provide this take out service. After such an enjoyable dinner we have put these aside to enjoy today! Will keep you posted but I’m sure they will be as delicious as our dinner. We will be ordering again! Thank you to all the fabulous staff for ing there and continuing to serve wonderful meals during this period of social distancing so necessary to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. You guys rock!

We ordered their 3 course take out menu dinner with wine for my birthday this year … which obviously could not be the ‘normal out to dinner’ birthday celebration ~ but Chris made sure it was special and perfect … (he did not know it was my birthday … so I am thinking special and perfect is standard fare for him) … I have some food allergies and he beautifully addressed each one … we had the salmon and the ribeye and everything about those preparations was perfection. It made for a very special and safe evening … the Pinot Noir was excellent! … and oh those deserts! Even GF! Thank you so much B&T … and extra special thanks to you Chris!
