I'm so excited about the vibe at The Blake… it isn't a place for people "just passing thru" New Haven… it is an inclusive meeting place for residents and visitors alike who want to be surrounded in the luxury of food, drink and ART!
The room was amazing and front desk service, specifically Kelly was very accommodating.
However, I am not happy, I currently have double charges on my credit card and have accumulated over $100 in overdraft fees on a card that had enough for the room cost $339.13 after taxes and valet, I was told we could change at checkout and not to worry and then checkout came and we were told it was not an option and that the $539.13 hold would be released it 1-2 days. That’s close to $1, 000 on my card, I work hard and budgeted my money accordingly for our trip. It has been four days, I Called the hotel, I am told someone will call me tomorrow to resolve.

1/30 update:
The manager called me a little bit ago and apologized and said they have no issues taking care of the issues that happened, I will be in touch with her via email to fix the financial errors made.
I am very grateful that this hotel when the extra step, we loved our stay and the food was to die for. We will be back again because you don’t find this kind of customer service anymore.
