I've stayed there twice already, a little expensive, but nice clean rooms. Comfortable beds.

We stayed at the Howard Johnson for one night in our brief stay in Mystic. The location was great for visiting the Mystic Aquarium and was about a 5 min drive from Mystic Seaport and the downtown area with all the restaurants. The queen bed rooms were very clean and roomy enough for two people. The staff was helpful when we needed them but also let us keep to ourselves. It was great place to stay for our short trip to Mystic.

Rooms were nice and clean. Enjoys the tiling in the entrance of the room. Comfortable beds. Pool was cool but we adjusted. We all sleep really well after a day of driving. The kids even slept in. Only down side was kinda being able to hear the adjacent rooms. But it was pretty muffled. I think they were just extra loud. Desk staff was really nice.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel! The room was clean and cheerful, and had more than what we needed! When we checked in, Miguel greeted us with enthusiasm! He told us about places to go and discounts we could get with our hotel card! He really made us feel welcome, and was extremely helpful! We look forward to staying at this hotel again!

Very impressed! Bathroom was the cleanest bathroom I have ever had in any hotel/motel! Room was very clean. Nice comfortable king size bed. You couldn’t hear any off your neighbors. Nice clean pool! Staff was very friendly. Leanne at the front desk was very helpful. Close to everything. We came in on Wednesday July 25th and checked out on Sat. I would highly recommend Howard Johnson! We will definitely be back!

I arrived very late on Sunday 7/1/18 around 11:45pm. This was after being stuck multiple times in traffic which made me an hour late. When I arrived I was tried and not that happy. However, the lady who checked me in that night (I sadly forgot her name) was absolutely wonderful. She was kind and very funny. She made me forget about my traveling troubles and was extremely helpful. I am very thankful for that. My stay at this hotel was perfect and I had a wonderful time. Every staff member I met was very nice. The rooms were beautiful. The location is perfect walking distance to anything you could possibly need. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Still here, absolutely love this place, staff is courteous and friendly, very clean, pool well maintained. It's been a pleasure. We'll definitely be coming back.

First big thanks to everybody there you open the pool so that we can get in there just a little bit earlier because we've gotten in so late the night before all the way from Virginia. You really made my little girl's day letting them be able to swim for 30 minutes I just give them something to do. Looking forward to staying there again when we come to visit Mystic with friends and family.

I’m giving the 2 stars solely off of the fact that the pool was pretty awesome. The sheets we had were either stained or pulled and their was a hair on the sheet. Front desk said it was one of the employees hairs. Personally it doesn’t matter whose hair it was, it was the fact that their was hair on the bed that did not belong to our party and it just felt like the front desk felt like fluffing it over. The pool had no bathroom so every time my 5 year old had to pee we had to keep going up to the room. Rooms are decent sized and check out time was good. The 10% off friendlys was pretty cool too.

Very clean motel. Updated and comfortable. We tried to check in promptly at 4 pm and were told our room wasn't ready. Had to wait about half hour in the lobby, which would be my only draw back to going again. People staying in motel were rude, but you can't hold that against the establishment.

We stayed in a room with a king sized bed. Bed was very comfy. The pool was very nice — warm. They had free breakfast which was not that bad. Out of the 4 days we stayed there they did not have bacon once! That's my only complaint — which was not a dealbreaker at all. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The rooms are large and comfortable, but simple. There is all the equipment necessary to spend a stay of 1-4 nights (swimming pool, dirty fitness etc). The staff is very friendly and the rooms relatively clean. Recommended.

Everything is available 24 hours a day.
Good breakfast, good dinner and served hot.
Small downside a little wait.

It was great, friendly service and good location.

Right off the highway and very close to all the area attractions. Old but clean. Overall much better than I expected for the price.

It was ok the rooms were just fine beds were comfortable but you get what you pay for. But the highlight of the hotel is the pool.

I called ahead of time because I brought my dog. Receptionist was friendly and assured me I would have a room meant for dogs. Got to the hotel, checked right in with the dog no problem. The hotel room was fine. Beds were comfy. (I should have asked for a firmer pillow though) The room had a sliding door that opened right up to the grass to take the dog out. Poop bags were even provided. Room was clean. Maid service was good. It wouldn't hurt to replace the tub… but it was clean. I would return to this hotel and it will probably be my preferred hotel as its cheaper than the rest of the ones that accept dogs.
