Only negative; pool closed since before COVID and as everyone else reopened, they still haven’t. Otherwise, an awesome place to stay.

I drove 4hrs to get to the hotel and find out there is no hotel parking unless you want to pay $16 every 24hrs. Then get in the room and with cold cuts I brought for my family to eat for our multiple day stay and come to find out the rooms don’t have a fridge. I am surprised since this is supposed to be a pretty good hotel guessing on the price of the rooms. One good thing I can say is the staff is really nice.

Beautiful lobby and spacious rooms.

We ordered room service and they told me it would be 30-45 minutes. After over an hour I called the kitchen, and the phone just rang over and over with no answer. (Three times I called and the same thing happened) so I called the desk and after she ran to the kitchen because they still wouldn’t answer she said my food was in the middle of being cooked. (I ordered a burger, chicken fries and fish tacos not something that takes a whole lot of time to prepare but fine they are b…usy). She said the food would be there in ten minutes. So it gets there and it’s completely cold, (so they lied, fresh food isn’t cold, they forgot about it and rushed it up). Then the drink I ordered weren’t there either (a water and a cocktail) so I called he desk again and said at this point never mind just take it off the bill I don’t want it and I don’t want to pay for it. She said she was looking at it right now and it was literally on its way upstairs as we spoke. I told her if it comes fine but if I don’t get the drinks I wasn’t paying for it. The drinks never came, but the bill did and they hadn’t removed the charge. So again I was lied to by the staff. At breakfast which we prepaid for so we were bound to repeat the same sad service it seemed nice enough. But when we ordered our drinks and were waited on by only did she never bring us our drinks but she never even looked at us again or returned to where I could call her and ask her to actually bring us our drinks at all.

Yesterday I turned 18 and I needed was for mu cake to be cold, they brought it up 6 min later. A COLD REFRIGERATOR OR FREEZER, it was only for one night they could have put it in the freezer sadly no.

Excellent hotel for a quick night’s stay. Stayed here on business, and the hot breakfast buffet was plenty and hearty ( (two types of sausages, scrambled eggs, French toast, roasted potatoes, bacon, corn beef hash, and an assortment of yogurts (chobani), granola and fresh fruits) ). Easy parking deck across an easy walk across the street from lobby. Good clean rooms and amenities. Pool we didn’t try, but saw a lot of people going in and out of it. Would stay here again.

Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The on site restaurant has a good menu and food was very good. Parking no problem would stay again.

Polite customer hospitality from beinging to end. An employee brought a mini fridge in our room after my husband asked for directions to ice machine. Being disabled this was a major plus for me. Front desk awesome attitudes very helpful. And above the waitresses in at the breakfast buffet give you the feel of what top quality customer service really is! Amazing job ladies and gentlemen!

I had my daughter's 9th Birthday party this past Saturday. The staff were extremely professional and helpful. From the party planner to the kitchen staff. They made our family feel welcome. The accommodations were great. Breakfast was set at a reasonable price. It was delicious. Plan to host another event soon.

From the moment I walked into the hotel, I felt like a valued guest. I had plans in NYC, so I tried to get to the hotel as early as I could. I got there at around 11:15am, and no rooms were clean yet. Jordan went above and beyond to get me checked in as soon as possible. She is pleasant, helpful, and in short a wonderful asset to the hotel. Everything else was great as well. This hotel will definitely be my go-to for future trips!

Good location. Downtown and close to several places to eat. Hotel and room was clean. Staff was friendly. Offered free transportation from the hotel to my destination. Would recommend.

Recently upgraded. And the place looks great! Room was neat and clean. In the heart of downtown, everything close by.

Awful stay. I've stay here in the past and it was a great place but it has fallen of quite a bit. During our li ast stay the curtain broke and the handle fell off leaving the room darkened disabled. The porcelain toilet seat broke in half and there was a person running down the hall screaming at 5am in the morning. We checked out after only one night stay. We we never stay there again.

Awesome front desk staff (excluding morning crew), great buffet, easy parking in garage. Very clean, helpful staff. Definitely a 4-5 star for the money.

Quiet and clean, but thermostat won't go below 65. If you are a hot sleeper like me, might want to bring a fan or skip this place. Hard to be well rested waking up hot all night. Night manager was very friendly and helpful. A better temperature available would make this stay an easy five.

This was my first time in this hotel since they remodeled. The elevators are on the right side of the building and u need a key to ride the elevator. When I was in the room there was no microwave or any where to put your food at, only a coffee maker. There was a big TV. The bed was huge and roomy and the lamps were beautiful. I went downstairs to get a soda and a juice and I had to order it from the bar. If u are in town for a show or overnight I recommend this hotel.

Stayed here Feb. 5th, 2018. Just stopped here for the night. Nice lobby, room was ok but reeked of air freshener. Didn't like the location at all. City courthouse is right across the street. Too many sketchy looking people walking the streets.

Nicely decorated bright lobby and restaurant. The banquet room is hopelessly beige and utilitarian. Parking garage is free for guests. Food is adequate.

I wish we had more excuses to visit Bridgeport, because the Holiday Inn is terrific! I've been twice now, with the second time a deliberate choice. The hotel is pretty (with art work worth looking at! ), it's well-appointed, offers very attractive rooms, a cozy bar and nice restaurant, excellent breakfast, and wonderful staff. I left an iPod in my room and received outstanding help in getting it back. It had been found and immediately put in a safe! There's also a really good Italian restaurant nearby (which the hotel will shuttle you to, if you don't care to walk), which is a plus. My thanks to everyone at this hotel for two excellent stays with them!

They have remodeled and the hotel is quite comfortable. Rooms are nicely decorated and the buffet is excellent.

First let me say the room ws clean and smelled like lavendar. The problem began when the teenagers on the same floor that my family was on started fighting and running up and down the hallway in the middle of the night. Then the next morning our room had a broken shower head and no hot water. The lady at the front desk had no idea that there was a group of teenagers in the hotel. She did offer us another room to shower in but we would have had to went to another floor. But I guess I can't complain since she gave us a free breakfast. Oh, and 24 hours later I am still waiting on a manager to call me.

Went here with a group of friends for a Christmas party. Room was comfortable and cozy, at reasonable price. Indoor swimming pool was cool. Had no problems with anything.

They are very with accomidations and the food is good. The bar is nice and intimate. Lots of available parking. Very closet transportation, restaurants and entertainment.

Service was great. The kids had fun in the pool.

This hotel does a wonderful afternoon tea. We come here for a pre Xmas treat. They used to have carol singing and chestnuts, but sadly not this year. The sandwiches and scones were very fresh. The scones were perfection. Our waitress was just lovely, v knowledgeable and charming. We also greatly enjoyed the Xmas displays and the pianist.

Have remodel but not very friendly if you don't have a room use to be a time you could stop in with you laptop have meetings meet people. But that atmosphere has changed.

Very nice lobby very nice staff but hotel room was not in the best shape nice upgrade but still that very old feeling and look and smell very low ceiling could not even get the luggage cart in the room.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times now and every time it has been great. The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel has been quiet the three times I have been. I absolutely will be staying at this hotel in the future. I am normally not impressed with the IHG brand however this hotel does a great job.

3 or 4 stars hotel. This place is nice and clean. The bed is good. You can have a GREAT view of some streets in CT.

Excellent customer service in the buffet/ dining area as well as the front desk "workers. " Notice I quoted workers. Meaning, I would have given this 5 stars but the front desk manager is not friendly with, nor does she have compassion when it comes to meeting her patrons' needs. The workers did a better job at solving my problems than she did. Overall, I had a great experience there.

Very clean. Our room was well appointed, with a very comfortable bed. Pretty darn quiet for the location. The restaurant and grill have very good food.

3.5 stars. Very good, not great hotel experience. Hotel staff is friendly. But additional charge for breakfast and parking in a secure garage. Rooms are clean enough and look recently updated and have newer TVs, the beds are actually really comfortable and nice. Though the remodel work was not very thorough in the guest rooms. Bubbles in wallpaper here and there, uneven paint and unfinished and frayed edging on the newer carpets. IMO Good for a weekend business trip but not a family vacation.

Very nice newly renovated Holiday Inn. Martini Bar had a very good bartender. We also had dinner, which was very good. Rooms spacious and clean, beds great. We would definitely stay again.

I was their for one week by myself they gave me double beds and they said we are gonna change it by tomorrow but they never did. Two days after, the air conditioner was not cooling and I asked to change the room and they said all rooms won't cool more than what you have "this is the coldest you can get"! it's not even worth 1 star. Also the area it not safe. Basically, it's the worst stay. I was like Calculating how many days left to get out. When I did the check out I was like going out from a prison. Thanks a lot for your hospitality officers.

FB family and friends I want to share an experience I had yesterday. Unfortunately I didn't have my phone to video. In Bridgeport CT we were celebrating Juneteenth. I needed to go to the restroom so I walked up to the Holiday Inn as I've done several times for many years. When I went through the door there was a security guard (Bobby). He says may I help you I said no I'm going to use the restroom he starts to follow me and says do you have a room here? I said no he said well you need a room to use the restroom. I said I've been using this restroom for years and never had a problem he continued to follow me into the restroom then into the stall and held the door open so I could not use the toilet. If that was the hotel policy he should of gotten a female employee or called the police. This incident could of escalated into a physical altercation. I said is this really happening he says yes go use the restroom in the train station. I left went back to the Juneteenth area and spoke to two Policemen they suggested I go back to the hotel and put a complaint in with the manager. I go to the desk and ask to see the manager. She replied "I am the manager" (Jackie). I tell her I want to file a complaint and proceeded to tell her what happened. She says you have no complaint he didn't go into the restroom I was watching. I then realized she lied because he was following her instructions. I will be filing a complaint.

Friendly staff for check in and the bar tender Tat or Cat? ) very good. Made our stay worth it.
Breakfast staff useless. Completely useless.
Breakfast food awesome. Back of kitchen is doing great. Host and waitstaff are the problem.

Great service and food. The staff couldn't of been more friendly. Parking was easy. Great place to have a wedding or Bar Mitzvah or a fundraiser.

Had to ask twice for shampoo n conditioner to be sent to room. Asked for tissues since the one in the bathroom was empty. They sent toilet paper. Checked in at 3. Empty tray if food from previous ppl outside our door. Asked to hv someone get it. At 9 pm it was still there on our way out. At 6:30 a. M. Woke up to what sounded like landscapers with blowers n power tools doing the roof. Not very hospitable. So glad I hv IHG Rewards… NOT… on a better note. The food and wait staff at the restaurant was great. Jessie and the kitchen staff guy were awesome and the music was fab…

Friendly staff, clean rooms and very reasonable pet fee.

The hotel is very conveniently located, right next to the office building I was visiting on a business trip. My only complaint is that though the room had curtains, it did not have blackout curtains which made it a bit difficult to sleep with the lights from the streets below pouring in through my 4th floor window. Otherwise, I was very satisfied.

The hotel is nice. The neighborhood it is located in isn't the best though. Very comfortable rooms!

My church meets at the Holiday Inn in Bridgeport. My mom is on first name basis with most of the staff and everyone is super kind/helpful.

Great hotel good staff nice rooms but the parking garage cannot accommodate a truck, there is limited non covered parking available.

Buffet wasn't all it could be. The plates and cups were basically dirty. Walking down the halls you can sometimes see the dirty plats next to the doors of people who order breakfast. The view in most rooms are horrible and some rooms have damages that need to be replaced. Not the best hotel to stay in but If you have to be in Bridgeport then this would be the place.

Worst stay ever in the heat broken ac unit they change my room to another looked like crack attics stayed in that room. Worst experience ever! do not recommend.
