Food at old piney dell was beyond amazing stone cabin was very peaceful.

The bar staff was great people.

Had the opportunity to DJ a wedding for Tanner and Cheyenne Gillette just after Christmas. I was very impressed with the staff and their attention to detail for my services. I can only imagine the attention to detail they gave to these family friends of mine. Outstanding service. Highly Recommend for a weekend get away or hosting an event. Rock Creek Resort is phenomenal.

We had our wedding hosted here with a lot of rooms with special requests and everything was absolutely perfect. Couldn’t ask for better staff!

The service and food has been exceptional. The stay has been great!

I booked a hotel room and when I got there the pool wasn’t open or the bar. I told them I didn’t want to stay there if none of their services are available and you didn’t inform me earlier on prior to my reservation that pool or bar would be closed. I wouldn’t have booked it there if I knew that I ended up going somewhere else to stay the night in Red lodge but still had to pay 90 dollars for my hotel stay.

We had a large second floor balcony attached to our room where we could sit and enjoy the creek. We even used the screen door to enjoy the coolness and the sound of the creek while we slept. There was so much more to the resort that we did not have time to enjoy. We will return.

It is beautiful, very friendly staff and very nice rooms.

Nice accommodations in a beautiful setting for a reasonable price. The river view from the balcony was awesome.

Great accommodations, beautiful area. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Playground, creek, swimming — all on site. Resort is very family friendly and Old Piney Dell restaurant is terrific.

Beautiful location and facility. Fairly well maintained. Crazy fold up style bed and lack of AC so only a 4/5 stars from me.

No A/C on a 90 degree day, fan didn't reach the sliding door to blow fresh air in, someone else's hair was on a dirty looking, folded towel in the bathroom… bed was terribly hard, continental breakfast was muffins, fruit or cereal. For the price and a one night stay, I would not recommend. The room had a great kitchen, very open and spacious room, and would be great between October to June to stay for a few nights or more.

This is an older resort and over all I think it was a great place rooms could use some updating. It was clean. Staff was friendly, pool was nice, atmosphere was cool. There is no A/C in the rooms and although this wasn't a huge deal for us for some it may be. They had a fan in the room we put in the balcony door and pulled in a nice breeze. The balcony was nice and the creek below was awesome.

Great place to stay; the river is amazing next to the resort and the one has great ambience. Rooms could use some upgrading though. Otherwise highly recommend for a mountain getaway!

Rooms acceptable, but excellent pool, on the creek, excellent restaurant and bar — and most — caring, friendly and helpful staff. Location just outside of red Lodge on the beartooth Highway (top 10 drives in US — 11, 000 foot pass on the way to Yellowstone best feature. And very affordable and often a vacancy have made it tops.

The room was clean. The pool and the hot tube where nice. The Creek runs right behind the main building. We attended a wedding and reception at the resort ant though it was a wonderful venue.

We stayed at RCR for a wedding, so we experienced lots of different aspects of the venue. Our room was a queen bed room which opened up to another room our family had. The two queen rooms opened up to a massive kitchen/dining/living area with a Murphy bed and lots of room for the kids to play. In fact, after the wedding 15 or so of our family members hung out in the living area comfortably. Having three bathrooms, two private queen rooms, and tons of room for all of the kids was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. The bride and groom stayed in the main cabin, not sure what the name is. It was very large with a gorgeous view from the back deck. It had a fire place, jacuzzi tub, and kitchenette. The continental breakfast was okay. I think our large family kind of wiped it out, but it was just enough. The roaring creek out back was stunning! Request the creek side if possible. The sound and site of the water reminded me that I wasn’t in Kansas anymore! The food at the wedding was tasty and the bartenders were friendly. The ballroom had large double doors which opened up the the creek patio (again, totally awesome)! The place isn’t brand new, so if you like super modern, this may not be your jam. With that being said, I highly recommend this place! If you want the full on Montana vibe right next to Bear Tooth Pass and Red Lodge, this is your spot!

The resort itself is beautiful. We were delighted by our room, right on the creek. However, we realized at about 9 pm that we had made a mistake staying on this property. The first issue was that the walls are paper thin. The much bigger issue was what sounded like water running through pipes in the walls ALL NIGHT LONG. It was incredibly loud and disrupted our sleep. We won't be staying at this resort again.

Rock Creek's First Bridal Boutique yesterday was such a great success. Vendors were thrilled and want to return next year for the Season 2 event. Couples were excited about the great choices for vendors. But most of all, Holly Lucara designed a great show, treated the vendors to a fabulous day, and worked diligently on advertising, and organization to bring a first class event to Red Lodge. The service was good. The food served isn't the greatest and they're could be more. Thanks for everything.

Ten years later… this place has gone downhill. We arrived on July 3rd, 2017 excited about our stay. The excitement quickly deflated when we were given a dated room that smelled of mold and didn't even have a window that would open. We were moved to the "Two Elk Lodge". This room was smaller but didnt smell of mold. We headed to dinner and returned back to find our room was extremely warm. I searched for a thermostat and never found one. At midnight I finally opened to window as it was so hot, only to be greeted with a bright light shining into my room (the porch lights). Needless to say I didn't get much sleep. When I explained to Katherine (the manager), he comment was "Those rooms are so nice, you should have called us as the heat is regulated from another room, and our insurance required us to have the lights! Really? Bummer, I wont be staying there again…

Rooms were spacious, clean and warm. Beds were a little too firm. Continental breakfast was not great, only cold options.

A wonderful stay, great restaurant, and filling breakfast. Pool was awesome. Hot tub was perfect for after a day snowboarding on the mountain. The ski package comes with a pair of tickets to Red Lodge Mountain!

I love the place! The condos, the hotel rooms, the lobby, everything is always so immaculately clean! All of the staff are so friendly and helpful. The cleaning crew really goes above and beyond to make things perfect!

The location is gorgeous! The cook is very kind. The facilities are very outdated, the rooms are okay like at a Super 8 rate, not a resort rate. The toilets in the Grizzly lodge do not flush, and each room is equipped with a plunger. They charged us $13 a piece for a Continental Breakfast because we were in a group of more than 10.

Terrific location with the creek out most Windows. Rooms are a bit dated, staff friendly and helpful.

Very disappointed with this place. Came back after a long and stressful day to find our room was left OPEN by the cleaning service. Luckily, nothing was stolen but that's not the point. When you stay at a hotel it's already hard enough to put your trust in the cleaning service to go in your room with all your belongings, but to come back and see that they left your door completely open for hours and for anyone to walk in and take anything! It was really upsetting to us. Especially knowing that they clean the rooms around 4 p. M. And we didn't get back till around 9:30 p. M. So our door was left opens for a good 5 hours! This is actually the first time I've ever written a review about a company before because I am this upset over what happened and how it was handled. The lady at the front desk didn't even apologize once and offered no type of compensation for the experience. I even emailed them about the situation to try to resolve it privately but they never responded to me so that's why I'm writing this. Do not book here unless you're only staying here one night so you don't risk the cleaning service leaving your room door open all day. Would not recommend this place. Also we had bugs in our room and had to kill 2 moths the first night we were there.

We stayed in the townhomes for a wedding and family reunion. The place is clean and the beds are comfortable. Not very modern but the rustic feel is nice too.

Came here and stayed for a friend's wedding. Nice clean room, friendly staff. Definitely bring food or be willing to drive to get some. They have a small restaurant, but it's cozy in a good way. The continental breakfast is sparse as is the "work out area". Really big pool, but on 3 1/2ft deep. Beautiful place, would definitely recommend visiting and hopefully now you're prepared after reading this review.

This place is a dive! If I could give it less than one star I would. The paint on the walls and doors is peeling and the bed spread is ripped. I had to ask twice to have my bathroom swept because of debris that I found upon entering the room. It was finally cleaned, but stuff was still missed behind the door. There are finger prints from other guests on the walls. Under the bed is dusty and hasn't been vacuumed. Makes me wonder about the cleanliness of the entire room! Unfortunately for me I have to stay here because I am at a conference. If it weren't for that I would have left and found somewhere clean to stay.

Rock Creek Resort is one of my favorite places to photograph weddings because of the gorgeous mountain backdrops! The staff is very accommodating and the food is great! I highly recommend choosing this place for your wedding!

I have stayed at Rock Creek Resort prior. This visit was very disappointing! Customer service was terrible, hot tub out of order, pool ice cold, sauna out of order, restaurant was closed. Cleanliness was lacking. When I went to check out the counter gal never asked how my stay was but preceded to answer the phone, then talk to the person behind me. This was crazy as I had called multiple times with no answer. I Called and left a message for a reservation and they called me after I was already checked in the following day dispite me mentioning not to call me back as I had left a message.
Worst experience, not sure if I will reserve a room in the future. Very undecided!

The hotel was clean. The breakfast was not very good.

This might not be the best room you've ever stayed in but the place itself is gorgeous and the staff and food are exceptional. I would recommend it to anyone and if I was in the market for a wedding reception venue… this would be it!

The event staff at Rock Creek Resort are some of the best I've ever encountered. The first time ever the staff asked me (a vendor) what I wanted for dinner and served and waited on me all night. That's a big deal, I've been DJing for a long time and this was a first. If the event staff go so far as to make sure the vendors are taken care of you can bet your bottom dollar the guests are well cared for too. It wasn't a fluke, everybody I've asked about having their wedding at Rock Creek says the same thing. The staff was on top of everything all night. I can't say enough good things about these guys. Thank you Rock Creek, look forward to working with you in the future.

We had our wedding there at the end of July. The staff was excellent.

Registered over the phone for Mothers day weekend for Romantic getaway package. A couple days after registering without any problem I got a call from the hotel saying that they couldn't deliver on their package since their restaurant would be closed on mothers day. They never mentioned that when I made the reservation. So after weighing my options I rescheduled my reservation for the following weekend. I arrived at the hotel for checkin and was then informed that the hotel was hosting a large banquet that was monopolizing the entire restaurant where I was had dinner reservations made at the time of my booking. NO APPOLOGIES for doing this. They simply gave me the regular rate for the room. Also the hotel staff were very inattentive when it came to manning the front desk. Our second day the cleaning crew didn't come all day and I had to call for fresh towels. The website said that our room came with Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi only covered about half of the building and definitely NOT our room. The hotel itself is in a total cellular dead-zone, but you start getting service as soon as you leave the parking lot. That said, the room, pool, and gym were clean and in good order. The restaurant had decent food for about $30-40 a plate. The gift shop that is featured in the website and by past guests has been PERMANENTLY closed. It has been replaced by a small case in the main lobby next to the front desk.

My trip to Rock Creek Resort took place in July 2012 for a Family Reunion. Initally, upon review of other opinions on this resport, I was a little anxious about staying here. Now, in retrospect I'm dumbfounded as to the terrible reviews. I personally loved my stay at Rock Creek Resort, our whole family in fact loved it! I thought the staff were great, the breakfast (s) were great, the maids were great, the pond, pool, river and grounds were all great! The Maintenance man in particular went out of his way to help my boyfriend find parts to fix our car (it broke down on arrival). The staff were all very friendly and even checked up on my boyfriend while he was working on the car to see if he needed anything. With all the bad reviews, I really wonder what it is people expect? The red carpet? Release of doves upon your arrival? I don't know. We came, we stayed, we loved it and I definately recommend this resort to anyone and everyone.

Stayed over the Valentines Day Weekend. Was VERY disappointed. Staff was rude, room was FAAAARRR over priced for a "deluxe sweet" Bed pulled out of a closet, uncomfotable, pillows were worse, ancient Zenneth TV was behind the bed so the only way to watch it was to sit in the love seat. The kitchen was straight from the 70s with mustard yellow appliances. The bathroom toilet barely worked and the rest was dreary. We left at 5 in the morning without showers and and even less sleep. First review Ive ever written. It was that bad. The condos looked amazing but unless you stay in one, I would skip this hotel and stay in town.

The Rock Creek "Resort" was a major disappointment. My first clue should have been rates starting at $115, but I am from the east coast and assumed the cost was based on supply and demand. The rooms have not been updated in some time and the bed in my upgraded room actually folded out of the wall. The television appeared to be a 27 inch Zenith and that may be generous. On Saturday evening, I returned from 12 hours of hiking and could clearly hear (lyrics and all) music from the bar through my floor until 11 P. M. Usually I would be at the bar enjoying myself, but I was exhausted and hoping for some quite reprieve. Needless to say, this did not occur. Nicer establishments include anything without the word motel in their name. Unless you are seeking a bargain, go elsewhere! To be fair, the gift shp is enormous, the area is beautiful and the staff were mostly nice.
