I was not given the room I was Told I would have $128 later they were dead flies in the windowsills the walls were dirty and the people were rude at the front desk I believe her name was CHI I was supposed to have an adjoining room with my daughter but I called to confirm two weeks ago and it didn’t happen it’s like oh well I was here for my grandson’s birthday party and a joining rooms would’ve been amazing but I was down the hall and they gave me a candy basket to make up for it I’m diabetic.

Terrible hotel, nothing was dusted so I’m suspicious about the cleaning in general. The loft rooms had bad heating/cooling in the lofts. The Wi-Fi is non-functional which is frustrating because cell signal is terrible. They don’t clean the rooms until after you leave so whenever we needed towels etc we had to go to the front desk. In the summer it gets dark very late (it’s the northern tier) and light very early but there are no blackout curtains and the loft rooms have windows without any curtains at all.
The icing on the cake is when we asked for a crib in the morning by the end of the day. At 7:45 pm when we got back and needed to put the baby to bed, it wasn’t there. We requested one again and I’M STILL WAITING 1.5 hrs later — in the meantime they are saying they can’t find one (? ), they don’t know where they’re stored. The nearest Target/walmart is closed so I’m worried I won’t have anywhere for the baby to sleep. Do not stay here!

Very nice people and great service in all aspects of the facility. Free shuttle to and from town until 2am.

The lodge was closed during covid and during that time, the owners made no effort to spruce the place up. The carpets smelled, the pool is old and tired (could use some paint). The rooms smelled. They removed all of the amenities and said it was due to covid, However If you requested something they would be happy to bring it to you. Left our pillows on the floor on the dirty carpet outside of the room, never delivered our requested shampoo or towels. In fact, upon check in, they left only one small soap. You would think with covid they would want to make sure you had soap to wash your body and hands. Staff acted like you were bothering them when you mentioned you didn't receive something. In fact one young man behind the counter could barely address you when you walked up to the window. They did have a few very friendly and kind people at the front desk. Debbie — was a gem and Rich the bartender was outstanding. Other than that — few redeeming qualities. Also, loved the barking dog across the hall : (

What a great place to stay in one of the friendliest places I have ever visited. The rooms are perfect and exceed my expectations. The front desk couldn’t be more helpful! They also have a great perk of a free shuttle between the airport, town and skiing.

The bridal suite is amazing! It is large and spacious with plenty of space for the whole bridal party to get ready in! Beautiful details throughout!

Amazing place to stay! Friendly staff and very attentive. Plus if you opt out for cleaning your room just put the green choice hanger on your door and you get $5 vouchers. What a wonderful week we have had.

It is rustic and has all the modern accoutrements one expects at a nice hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the staff is friendly and eager to accommodate, and the rates are reasonable.

Grouse Mountain Lodge is such an amazing venue for weddings! They have plenty of hotel rooms to accommodate all of your guests. The ceremony site and reception tent are gorgeous! Their catering and event team is top notch and the food is delicious! Highly recommend!

Beautiful place, beds are comfortable and everyone is very friendly and accommodating. They gave my husband his VA discount which helped us to afford the room and stay an extra night.

Native Texas visiting Montana and this was a GREAT first place to stay! It was cozy, everyone was super friendly, strong drinks at the bar, great food, lots if activities on site and close to town for more festivities!

The staff are wonderful but the showers are horribly designed. No door which made it cold. No place to put your wash cloth or products. Bed was uncomfortable and all the pillows were way too soft. Train went by every couple of hours blowing their whistle even in the middle of the night. I don’t usually complain but this was no better than a super 8.

Friendly staff, great lounge and dining room. Enjoyed the hot tub and pool as well. Best place to stay if you like to golf as well.

Attended a gathering here. Great service, food, and staff. Excellent driving range if you're a golfer. Nice location with plenty of parking.

Great Weekend at Sarah and Gabe Murphy”s wedding! What fun and beautiful surroundings! Everything perfect for the fun — loving couple! And worth traveling back just for the awesome beds! Best I”ve ever slept in!

Great hotel in an awesome location. Shuttle is very convenient and the staff are helpful. Only negative was the coffee bar was barely staffed. Most of the time there was nobody there. Josh the bartender is outstanding and deserves a raise.

TL;DR: Comfortable, clean hotel with great amenities but a lackluster restaurant. Pros: clean rooms, outdoor hot tub and indoor pool, a free shuttle downtown or just a 20 minute walk, beautiful views, right next to a golf course, great mountain aesthetics both inside and out. Cons: Restaurant (ate at twice) had incredibly slow and somewhat lackluster service. Food was decent, but you can get a much better meal in town or across the way at the golf course restaurant. Beds are too plush for me, but that's personal preference. Overall, a recommended stay.

Held our small wedding here, on the lawn by the golf course and it was PERFECT! My stars are directly related to Ryan and Emmie of Grouse mountain lodge. What a pleasure it was to work with them as I planned my destination wedding. Ryan was patient and understanding, absolute delight and wonderful to work with. Emmie was my initial contact and she was just wonderful and ultimately the reason I decided to hold my wedding at the lodge. She was understanding, reassuring and answered all my crazy questions in a timely manner. Ryan never missed a beat, from our initial email, to the planning of the wedding with my crazy ideas about table settings, he was the best, and truly made my stress level diminish! Grouse mountain lodge is lucky to have Emmie and Ryan as part of their team, they made it work, they were efficient and I could not have asked for better. The rooms were nice, clean and had great views. Food was fantastic, we are in the wine room which was beautiful as well. The cook was overly accommodating to our wedding desires and the staff, Josh, was my favorite waiter of all time. It was a perfect day, perfectly executed by the Grouse Mountain team, thank you.

LOVE THIS HOTEL! Whenever I'm in the Flathead Valley I always stop by Grouse Mountain for a meal or happy hour! EXCELLENT food and service! My favorite bartender Sarah Hanson is always smiling, she is the epitome of a GREAT SERVER! Even if you can only stop by for a meal (HIGHLY recommend) or a drink, Grouse Mountain NEVER disappoints! Go in and say "hi" to my girl Sarah Hanson at the bar, she is the BEST!

Overall very bad experience… The good: Front desk bellhop was very nice. Lobby is pretty. Restaurant and golf course on the property is nice. The bad: If you plan on using a debit card upon check in, their policy is $250 per night deposit plus the cost of the room. A three nights stay with deposit will cost over $1000.00. We tried to back out of staying since we were out of state and had already paid for airfare, rental cars etc. However, they informed us they would not and could not refund us. (We had prepaid). So we decided we would stay. Immediately upon entering the room we were met with an odor, smoke detector was detached, blinds were broken, mini fridge would fall on us when we would open the door and contents would roll out as it was unstable. The granite counter tops in the bathroom were barely hanging on as if someone had sat on it and the telephone to the room would not make any outgoing calls. The hot tub was full of people drinking all night until it closed, so we never could enjoy it. The card readers hardly worked and the door to the outside never locked. We were told by another couple who had stayed 4 days that it was never locked once during their stay. I had a bad feeling about staying and possibly being charged for the damage already present in the room so I kindly asked to switch. The moved us to the room across the hall which was much nicer. When I brought up the damage the front desk did not act alarmed at all.

Friendly, accommodating staff. Clean rooms. Super comfortable beds! Free shuttle around town is the bees knees too!

Very fantastic hotel. Cozy, nice service. The house keeper would surprise you with swan towel and friendly notes to start your day. Definitely recommend their breakfast place, it’s awesome.

Beautiful Rooms, lovely Montana Interior, excellent food, wonderful staff, shuttle to Whitefish for shopping, etc. Pool, hot tub outside with beautiful mountain views and golf course. Golf course across the street, state park minutes from hotel as well as Whitefish beach the other way. Very affordable as well.

Lovely restaurant! Great cozy rooms! Just a beautiful relaxing place with trails all around and a shuttle that runs late into town! What more can a girl ask for?

Wing night for football season on Monday nights were Amazing. Sarah our bartender/server always takes great care of us. Wings are huge inexpensive and flavorful. Great drink prices! Great atmosphere.

They were very courteous and helpful. There was a mixup with our reservation when we arrived, but they worked it out and upgraded for us and we were very satisfied. We also really enjoyed the large outside hot tub under the stars.

I just had lunch there. The Nachos were really good. Service was good and the price was reasonable.

The lady and I stayed during a night out. Pleasant, and not too outrageous. Loved the deck. I will stay again.

Picked this location because they advertised an outdoor hot tub. Hot tub was Luke warm. Blow dryer in room wouldn't work. Asked for another one which never came. Coffee at the coffee bar was not good. Room was nice!

We stayed here this weekend and we're very disappointed. We walked into the room and there were dead flies on the ground (it happens, we removed them and moved on). The room was so unbelievably hot that we got 0 sleep. You could not turn air on, turn the heat down or open the window more than a crack. The best thing about a hotel is a nice cold good night sleep. We did not get this. I then showered and went to dry my hair, the hair dryer was broken. The final point that made us upset was breakfast. We had to wait 15+ minutes to flag a waitress down to get our check and we ordered omletes and the eggs were crispy and hard, and the potatoes were drenched in olive oil. I ended up just picking the veggies and meat out of the omlete. I was very disappointed in the stay. I have stayed in many hotels in Whitefish and this was a first. Will not be staying here again after the service we received when we return.

From I walked in I was paralyzed with amazement… there were so many guest at this lodge thanks to a beer event and applications for skijorring… the architecture was beautiful and rustic with some wildlife decor on the walls. The front desk clerk and manager were super friendly, very responsive, and very accommodating. We are at the Logan restaurant and the foot was superb. For dinner my husband and I had smoked chicken (da bomb) and prime rib, with a serving of steamed green beans and carrots, and homemade mashed potatoes… so yummy. We spent the night in a double standard room (queen beds), walk-in shower, and beautiful skiing views. For breakfast we had cherry walnut pancakes and croissant sandwiches with some herbal tea and coffee (same restaurant) … service was wonderful, waiters were friendly and very patient and helpful, and the food was so delicious… I would definitely go back to this establishment.

A quality hotel with great amenities. I was really impressed with the bar in the hotel and how comfy the room was. Very nice stay.

The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. Great service! They have a coffee stand in the lobby where they will make anything for you. They didn't have caramel macchiato on the menu, but they made me one anyway. My only complaint is a group of drunk men were walking up and down the hallway ALL NIGHT. They were knocking on doors and shouting and just being a major disturbance. I didn't get a bit of sleep. Unfortunately, none of the staff did anything about it. I never called the front desk about it, but there is no way they didn't hear the drunk bastards. I mean… they could have at least called the police. I suppose I could've done the same.

Nice lodge in a great location. Whitefish is a wonderful place to visit and easily accessible from the lodge. We found some "condition" issues with our room and a "rate" issue when the checkout receipt was delivered, but the friendly and helpful staff was able to quickly resolve both. The breakfast buffet was very good. All in all, the stay here was positive.

We stayed here August 6, 7, 8 of 2017 It was our 35 th wedding anniversary. We were treated with great hospitality and a friendly staff that was extremely helpful. Our room was beautiful and we had a stunning view. The food was awesome, we would highly recommend Grouse Mountain Lodge to those visiting Whitefish, MT. ❤️ The Smith's.

The room had louvered shutters rather than curtains, so don't count on sleeping in if light wakes you up. On the bright side, the louvered shutters do let in a lot of light, which is handy since none of the light switches are in reasonable locations and there aren't enough light fixtures in either the main part of the room or the bathroom. Upon first entering the room, I had to use a flashlight to find the light switches. Maybe the hotel is trying to single-handedly save the world by reducing energy use? I probably would have just installed LED light bulbs. Since very few lights are actually installed in the room, you might expect them all to work. You would be expecting too much. The walls and ceiling seem to be lacking any sound insulation. So that's fun. The room air conditioner works well, but you can't always set it to the temperature you'd like. You'll be a degree or three off, but that's not terrible. I've used tablets larger than the TV. The room was clean. It was easy to park near your room. Still, probably wouldn't stay here again.

Very nice rooms, comfy bed, lobby & grounds beautiful, friendly staff. TV could be a bit bigger. Only issue was conference room walls thin could hear carts rolling & people talking which was distracting and bathrooms on other side of lobby. Also need elevator on ends of building to service farthest rooms. Overall great place to stay and close to Glacier National Park.

Budget hotel with a 4 Seasons price. We were here for a wedding and it was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The walls are paper thin so you hear everything all night long. You can actually make out what people in adjoining rooms and the hallway are saying. The wedding venue was terrible to the point it had to be moved upon arrival and the deposit was not returned. It was located on the side of the hotel surrounded by trees so no mountain views at all, in an area most would take their dogs to use the bathroom. The front desk staff was extremely rude and unhelpful. Bring ear plugs if you intend to sleep here. Im writing this review at 2:30am due to being woken up from people walking in the upstairs hallway. I look forward to leaving in the morning and never returning to this hotel again.

Enjoyed our stay at Grouse Mt. Rooms very roomy and clean. Concierge, Jennifer, pointed us in all the right directions. Staff friendly and helpful.

A nice place. The beds were comfy, and the staff was helpful. We had to get our room keys reset each day, which was weird, but may not be typical.

A bit pretencious, although nice overall. Many room balconies were Very worn, broken, and should not be trusted to place weight upon. Grip flooring on Jacuzzi patio was terribly worn in areas all the way down to untreated wood. As far as I'm aware there is no door connecting the hotel proper to the conference room, which seems quite odd since individuals would need to travel through the hotel back to the main entrance and outside to the right to reach the conference room entryway. While I was there thankfully there was no inclement weather. On one more slightly less important note, the beds were marvelously comfortable.

Variety of rooms, friendly staff. Some rooms are two floors. Very good looking property. Lots of space. Over its a very comfortable place to stay for a few days.

The front desk staff and bar staff were extremely professional and accommodating. The shuttle driver Nate was friendly and went out of his way to get some food ordered for me before the kitchen closed.

Nice enough rooms, super comfy beds, drinks were overpriced and we were denied a discount they otherwise offer. Had friends have vehicle damage due to golf balls from next door.

Beautiful, affordable Lodge on the outskirts of Whitefish, and only 20 minutes from the ski resort. Updated, clean rooms, very friendly staff, and the pool, hot tubs, fireplaces and bar all exceeded our expectations. Also they provide a complimentary shuttle to and from downtown Whitefish and to and from the Ski Resort!

Beautiful, spacious rooms with excellent layouts for snow sports (plenty of space to hang up jackets and snow pants. Hot tubs, gorgeous views, and very friendly staff.

This place is very very beautiful. Very homey and not such a hotel feel. But when I got my room I upgraded to the 160 room because it said it came with chocolate strawberries and champagne at check-in. I didn't get it so I asked for it and the old man was very rude and said he didn't see it on my room. I asked then why I wasn't being charged for a normal room then. 115. He didn't help me at all and I paid 160 for a normal room I was very upset. But besides that it was a nice stay. I wouldn't pay 160 again though.

Very inviting. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms weren't a cabin, but were roomy and private. Love the lotion and soap in the bathroom. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing. Although we didn't take advantage of the onsite lounge and restaurant, it was nice having it there. Our visit was brief. We were up and out early to Glacier so we didn't have time to really utilize the amenities. It's conveniently located near Glacier and Whitefish Resort. I hope that we can return when we have more time to enjoy Grouse Mountain Lodge.

Reservations was unhelpful with details and on our wedding night, after we had 20+ rooms booked through family and friends, we got a subpar room with two small beds in it. Highly disappointing when you tell reservations you're booking a room for your wedding night and when you have brought the hotel so much business. I do not find the hotel to be attentive to details.

Stayed one night for a supposed bed and breakfast package. It turns out they add $25.00 dollars to the room and give it a back as a $25 dollar breakfast credit. It did not cover breakfast for two so I was not impressed. I attended the opening of this hotel in 1986 and noticed some recent renovations but nothing note worthy. The beds were pillow top with an additional foam pad that made the beds uncomfortable. No back support whatsoever just mush. Loud air conditioner that also kept me up. Used to be ok but new owners let it slide unfortunately. One redeeming aspect of this hotel is the restaurant. If they mess this up they are truly done. There are better deals out there such as the Lodge on Whitefish Lake and the Homewood Suites in Kalispell. All significantly better than Grouse Mountain Lodge and better value.

Carpets were dirty, shower was moldy. Room was just in bad shape. Restaurant was expensive but good. Didn't play the golf course but it looked pretty nice. They ended up comping us 100 dollars on our bill for the poor experience.

The beds are very comfortable and the room is big. We had a double vanity with one outside the washroom. The entrance is beautiful. Oddly our shower drain was plugged.

It's really beautifull here:) The rooms are very comfortable and the service's the best! And some review about food — It's delicious and quite cheap in fact. I couldn't even finish it, because portions are really big and it's too much for one person. I wholeheartedly recommend this lodge for a holiday trip :).

Nice place, but due for an update. Staff were lovely, pool and hot tubs were an excellent way to spend am evening. Sauna was pretty roughed up.

Just had a great lunch. Service was awesome Chad Mercer your 1 fantastic bar tender and incredible server. Will be back.

I was wary booking the place after reading the recent reviews on Google+, but I'm so glad we came. It's beautiful. We stayed in room 366, it's large, clean, the bed and pillows are comfortable, the bathroom is luxurious. I'm stunned at how bad the other reviews were, and how great the place is. The whole facility has aged gracefully. I stuck with my tradition of forgetting my swim shorts at home, and luckily their gift shop has a selection of shorts to choose from; they even had my size! They have a powered lift to provide accessibility into the hot tub for people with reduced mobility; not a necessity for us, but it really stood out as an indicator of thoughtful management. We brought dessert back to the hotel with us, and we asked if we could get two forks delivered to our rooms while we went to the pool — no hassle, they took care of it within minutes. Room for improvement: Wi-Fi's a little slow in this corner room, and the plug-ins are not conveniently located for charging electronics.

We didn't know what we would find when we booked this Lodge in a part of Montana that we had never visited. The approach to the Lodge was a sign since we had to drive through road construction and realized too late that we would not be within walking distance of the restaurants and stores of charming Whitefish. The problem with our room ($239 per night for three nights) was the noise of the air conditioner. When we tried to avoid it by turning ours off and opening the window we found that the noise from other AC units was equally bad. Poor sleep was the result. We complained but to no avail except for a coupon for a breakfast that we did not enjoy; the dousing of our omelets in balsamic vinegar came as an unappetizing surprise. There are a lot of signs of neglect in upkeep in this Lodge. One of the two hot tubs was out of order while we were there so we squeezed into the remaining one with four other people. At checkout, the man at the desk avoided making eye contact or asking us how we had enjoyed our stay. We paid in full and drove away from our mistake.

My first experience with Grouse Mountain Lodge and Logan's Bar and Grill was at their Harvestfest dinner last night. They showcased greens from Terrapin Farm and provided an excellent 3 course meal. The service was friendly and very timely. I love their outdoor deck seating as it was perfect for the beautiful weather. I will definitely come back for more of their a la carte menu items! Thanks for a great evening.

The place I stayed on my first visit to the Flathead, and that was a dozen+ years ago. Now that I live here I have been back to the lodge for numerous business and community events. Always great service, food and awesome atmosphere.

What a terrible place. Dirty, old and bad service. Do yourself a service and avoid this.
