Weve done UC at mount Rushmore and now here… its absolutely amazing… yes glamping but it is definitely an experience. Camp fire, convenient grills, clean restrooms friendly staff and clean comfortable tents.

Wonderful facility nestled in the trees close to Glacier National Park. So much to do back at camp for bringing the family together. The tents were beautiful with great bedding and decor.

Everything especially the staff!

This is a nice experience, reasonably close to the park and more comfortable than camping in a tent or hammock. The showers are hot, but they're a little bit of a hassle since you have to hold down a cord to keep them on. Overall, it does seem pricey for what it is, but I enjoyed the experience and it's probably worth doing once or twice.

Great experience here! Staff was incredibly helpful with helping us plan our time in Glacier, especially given park closures due to wildfires. Incredibly comfortable accommodations and really clean / nice bathroom facilities. Would definitely return!

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Glacier National Park. The location is on the west side entrance. Great accommodation. It's quite different as everything is outside. Your lodging is inside a nice cozy tepee tent. There are also shared bathrooms which are very clean and nice. Overall, a great experience and would stay at their location again!

Great concept. Really liked the deluxe tents BUT… 1. The images of the sites online are misleading to say the least. All tents are up a set of stairs (not a big deciding factor) but would’ve liked actual images from the Glacier sites. 2. The location… wow, this location is terrible. When you check-in the staff gives everyone a set of ear plugs because “the train is loud, ” but don’t let them fool you, this is located right on the main road into GNP so all you hear is car noise all night. Not worth the premium price. Overall, if the location was quiet and more secluded this would DEFINITELY be a 5-star review but you might as well be glamping in the middle of Central Park with the traffic noise. I highly recommend you find a different place to stay while you’re visiting the national park.

This was a great glamping experience. The staff is friendly and we liked the sustainability aspect of the campsite. The king bed was super comfortable and warm. Community Bathrooms were clean and was full bath as opposed to dorm room style. We may be back, although it's little pricey. Our suggestion would be to provide shelf or counter on the bathroom sink.

Don’t be fooled with their pictures online. We did. We thought the room we booked came with the amenities other than the bed. They didn’t specify that NOT all rooms have bathrooms inside! We got there mortified when we found out about it. They don’t even have concrete driveways/parking lot. It wasn’t what we expected it to be. For the price of $170/night, we expected better. We don’t feel safe there either so we decided to stay somewhere else cheaper and better. And they don’t refund so they took our money too. We are very disappointed! We will never recommend!

Our group stayed in the tent with four twin beds. This was our first "glamping" experience and we were impressed! Best part was that we didn't have to set up camp. ;) The beds are comfy with many warm blankets. The bathrooms and showers were great as well! Very clean and many of them. Best part was the customer service though, at check-in the Under Canvas Glacier employee (Shay, I think? ) was very hospitable. She even recommended a great place for us to eat dinner (Glacier Grill, if you stay here you should eat there too! ). The next morning we saw Shay while we were walking to the reception tent for free tea, coffee, and hot chocolate. She told us good morning and asked us if we ended up going to the Glacier Grill for dinner — very impressed by her memory! We definitely looked very different after rolling out of bed in the morning. Lol. You are not allowed to have food in the tents as not to attract bears, but you are allowed to have it in a nice picnic space near reception. They even have campfires they will set up for you with s'mores ingredients. Would have gave it 5 stars, but the other employees we encountered weren't as friendly or helpful. Still a very great place to stay and I highly recommend!

I love camping but since I could not carry the gear to Montana, opted to stay here. Was such an amazing experience staying here. Stayed for 2 nights. It rained during one of the nights and there was small leak. Wasn't that big of an issue though. They had battery packs in the tipis which was a surprise. Enough to keep your electronics charged for the next day. The staff is friendly. The best part was that the restrooms were clean and had running hot water. The plumbing there looked comparable to any hotel. The beds were comfortable with them providing a lot of layers. Would definitely recommend this.

This is a good option if you're passing through for a night. If you're a camper, then the inconveniences outweigh the conveniences. There is no fire pit at your site and you can't cook at your site. Instead you have to drive all your stuff down near the entrance if you want to cook out. They bill it as a "hotel" but they only came once during a four night stay to empty the trash (and they left the screen open so we returned to a wasp in the tent). They don't make the bed or clean the bathroom. Although it's nice to have a bed, bathroom, and wood stove for heat, it doesn't beat a real camping experience. And the location is so close to the highway practically all you hear is road noise.

Very interesting concept — basically giving you “outdoor luxury” and because your expectation context is set to outdoor, you will think this place is truly luxurious. It’s not. It’s still Tipi tents with flush toilets and hot showers. The biggest problem with this Under Canvas is the location — because you don’t have the sound-proofing offered by traditional hotels’ glass windows and walls, it gets annoyingly noisy real quick. The US 2 right outside it is always busy and there’s an Amtrak nearby — plus, other campers’ chit chat will always be there too! The staff members are very helpful and extremely nice (hence the 3 stars), but the earplugs they gave simply did not help. Know this before coming in, and you will have the right expectation and enjoy your stay better.

Any lodging near Glacier National Park is expensive. At the time I was planning a trip to Glacier, I found that this was the least expensive spot and I had always wanted to try "Glamping" so I figured I would give it a shot. I didn't regret it. This was such a fun place! My wife and I spent 5 days here and we have fond memories from it. They kept a fire going in a common area where people could meet and make smores. There was a small wood stove in our tent for if the night got cold. Our tent well clean and appeared well kept. Yes, the site is near a highway and a railway, however we didn't have too much trouble getting to sleep and staying asleep anyway (without using the provided earplugs). We enjoyed our time there and if the opportunity arises, we would stay there again.

We stayed at Under Canvas the first part of August. We loved it! Staff was very friendly. Loved being so close to Glacier National Park. I am so ready to go back. Hopefully we can make it back up there in a couple of years. We slept in one of the Tepee, next time we would like to try a larger tent. I couldn't beleive how comfortable the cots were. My only complaint would be the trains and highway traffic. I still give you 5 stars. I just wish there was one closer to where we live. We live in Neb. Thanks for everything. Teresa Ely.

Spent a week in Glacier, Yellowstone, and Teton, mostly staying at AirBnBs, except one night we stayed at Under Canvas Glacier. UCG was our best night's sleep the entire time and the most private. We had a tent with a king size bed and plenty of room to spare. We didn't have to use the stove in the room since the blankets we're so warm. Shower rooms were large and the showers themselves were great. There was a burn ban, but we could still use the gas fire to make smores, which were also provided. Overall a great way to get a night out under the stars without having to bring your own gear or worry about setup, all while being really close to GNP.

Had a fantastic time with wonderful service, beautiful surroundings, and relatively reasonable prices for the experience! Only regret is that I was only able to stay for less than 24 hours, definitely want to return to get the full experience!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The bathrooms were great, each one being able to be locked and containing a shower with very warm water. The only problem was that you had to pull a chain down the whole time to take a shower. The beds were very comfortable as well as the cots. There is also complimentary coffee, water, and hot chocolate at the reception tent. Also in the room, there are heating stoves which make it feel more like a camping experience even though it is not actually camping. At the end of the day you can even go down to a communal fire and there are many things to do like volleyball and cornhole. There are even places under roofs with picnic tables and grills for a relaxing evening after a long day at glacier.

A fun experience at Glacier Under Canvas — tents were in great shape, bedding super comfortable, everyone pleasant and helpful. Great location easy access to west entrance of Glacier. Only negative is traffic and train noise during the night, but earplugs were provided — I was so exhausted from the days hikes they were not needed!

This place was awesome! Staff was super friendly and very helpful in giving hiking/dining tips. The tent was perfect and the bed was comfortable. Our tent had a bathroom and running water but I still used the bathroom facilities on site since they had electricity. Everything was well kept and super clean. The entire perimeter was protected with electric fencing. I saw a few other reviews mentioning the train noise but we never heard this while we were sleeping. We only heard it mid-morning while we were having coffee and getting ready. We will definitely be back! Such a great experience!
