The staff was so patient, accomidating, helpful, and friendly. The room was so cute and incredibly clean. We were able to stay in an amazing room with a balcony and stay on a tight budget. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Great for families. Check out the town while you're here.

Hotel was very nice. Reason for 4 stars rather than 5 stars is because the beds were too soft. Felt like a black hole sucking you in when you would lay down on them. Other than that, it was great. Very clean. Great service.

I was planning on staying here for a one night stay and prepaid online. I did this more than a week in advance, but then 5 days before I was planning on staying, I called and tried to cancel due to a medical emergency and I wouldn’t be able to make the trip. Even with giving them 5 days heads up, they weren’t able to refund any money due to company policy. After speaking with friends in the St. Louis area that have stayed here before, they have had the same problems due their “unique” company policies. I understand I check a box and agreed to the terms, but I don’t understand how in 2018 we can’t get some sort of refund. I have never stayed at a hotel where they don’t have a refund option and maybe this is why big brand hotels are easier to work with.

Currently staying at the Wildwood Hotel until tomorrow, and I must say it’s very nice and a great location. Movie theatre within walking distance, dining and shopping down the street as well. Room is spacious, clean and the beds are more than comfortable enough. The only reason this is a four star instead of a five star review for me is because the gym is lacking. Only a few machines (all cardio), which could easily be upgraded. Overall a great stay and highly recommended. A-

I stayed overnight last week and enjoyed my stay. Since I have never heard of Wildwood before, I was a bit apprehensive, but booked since the reviews were positive. The price is very competitive for what is offered. The building and rooms look updated (bathrooms are very nice) and clean while the surrounding area, and hotel inside, are quiet. This establishment would be on the top of my list for considering where to stay in the area. I would not think twice about staying here again. There was PLENTY of parking as well! The only constructive criticisms were breakfast was not explained — you must purchase tickets, I assume, and the doors in the hallway, like almost every other establishment, were somewhat noisy and didn't block much sound (other guests can wake you up with slamming doors). However, neither of these negatives impacted my stay.

Excellent, all around. Amazing omelets and a wide selection for the breakfast, good room service, great ambiance, friendly staff. The parking situation was a bit odd, but not too bad once we figured out where to be and how to get in the back door. Overall, a fantastic stay—wish we could have stayed longer!

Amazing stay and amazing service. My all time favorite hotel. **changing my rating, we decided to stay and nobody told us at check in that the free buffet was now $10.99 and we had to have special tickets so we had to go downstairs pay and come back up. Would've been nice of someone to tell us this at check in. And the buffet is exactly the same as it was free although everyone kept telling us they really improved it…

Jeff at the front desk was very accommodating and was able to make the detailed changes I requested for my upcoming stay. Competence at the front desk is so rare these days! Nice to do business with a hotel where this is recognized. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and the attention to detail and customer service is superior and exceeds my expectations~Which are high! And that's why I like to review when it so rarely happens!

Amazingly beautiful hotel. The staff was extremely pleasant and kind. There was local artwork throughout the property. The breakfast buffet was delicious. They have an omelette, waffle and pancake station. Everyone was very nice. The bathroom products, beekman 1802, were divine. The room was a little small but the bathroom was a decent size. Large clean soaking bathtub. There's an indoor pool and spa, guest laundry facility, a very nice sitting area in the main lobby. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in the St Louis area although it's a little outta the way. It's very near several different restaurants, a movie theater, grocery store etc.

Stayed here for two nights. Very nice area with lots of restaurants and things to do nearby. Dierbergs very close and convenient for a quick grocery shopping trip. There's also a theater right across the street, as well as restaurants, coffee shops Etc. I believe the police station was also across the street … which lessens the concerns of theft!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room we were in (the Jacuzzi room) was big and nice. The bed was incredibly soft and comfy. There are few restaurants very close. Some even walking distance. And a nice movie theater right across the street. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and are looking forward to coming back.

A wonderful experience First time and really amazed by the historical look. It doesn't look like a hotel and when I called for directions, I was literally at the stop sign. Of course I giggled! The hotel overall experience is really 5 star times 5. Jesse and Trina greeted me on different occasions with a warm and happy smile, which tells me that the other staff is the same way. My bed was very comfy and too bad I had to work cause I would have stayed in. Breakfast is amazing as well. 10 bucks can basically get you a buffet and a personal chef to cook you right at the bar anything you want. I love it. Save me a room because I will be back.

The room was wonderful. Location was great. However, the service was terrible. The room was so uncomfortable due to the room directly upstairs. They made so much noise and we could not rest. We asked the front desk to get them to quiet down and they did not. I'm sad I couldn't enjoy my stay in the jacuzzi room. We couldn't take the loud noise anymore so we had to leave.

Excellent rooms! The beds are super super comfy. The staff was very friendly and made our stay as comfortable as possible. They have their breakfast in the banquet room and have quite a spread. With a special omelette chef! Its also situated close to a number of good restaurants and other places!

We were only passing through, so we only stayed one night, but the room was gorgeous, and incredibly comfortable. The staff was very courteous and professional. I was grateful for the noise machine available on the alarm clock. Snoozing in a super-comfy bed while listening to the ocean is pretty wonderful :)

Nice experience, clean hotel and very comfortable bed. We didn't partake in breakfast but there was one offered. Free parking in the garage. We were here with a free night for our 1 year anniversary after having the reception there. Overall a great hotel.

I give the hotel a five star. Lots of amenities to take advantage of. We were there for a wedding weekend and it's location was convenient to the venue for that. Breakfast buffet was awesome! Try the made to order omelts! For a great dining experience try Benedittos just up the block!

A quiet, romantic hotel in a charming area. It has the feel of a chalet. Everyone was very polite and laid back, but in a professional manner. The omelets for breakfast are made to order by a chef, and they are awesome! Traffic was light, and there is a grocery store, movie theater, restaurants, and stores to shop at within walking distance. We will definitely be back!

We had our wedding reception at the Wildwood Hotel in Oct 2017 and couldn't have dreamed of anything better! Shannon was seriously the best! She went way above and beyond to make sure we were happy! She also did anything in her power to make our dreams a reality! Chef Brian was also super awesome! He did a special menu for us (pizza and wings! ) and our guests absolutely loved it! Also their staff was extremely nice! They all congratulated us throughout the night and didn't mind that our guests didn't leave right away when the reception ended :) Our guests also said they loved their rooms and the beds were super comfy! And we concur! We recommend this venue for your reception or for your guests to stay! Thank you again everyone at the Wildwood Hotel for the best night!

Got married here the other day, and the staff was wonderful! They made the event amazing. The room was great to stay in afterwards, the room was clean and everything was extremely comfortable. Would get married here again, though I shouldn't need to :P.

Awesome hotel. Clean, comfortable and private. Beds are amazing! Away in a quieter area but within walking distance to several great restaurants. Pool and hot tub amazing, great place to stay with kids. Overall an awesome hotel. We stay every year! Couple blips but nothing major, will return again next year.

Very nice, clean and comfortable boutique hotel. The continental breakfast is so much more than continental. They offer cooked to order eggs and omelets along with buffet-style scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes and bacon. Also offered are self-serve waffles, cereals, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, and even almond milk. Great service, comfrtable and quiet. The rooms are nice and the top floor rooms have vaulted ceilings and a small balcony.

The best part about the hotel is the buffet. The hotel itself is okay, but not luxurious. For the price we paid, we could have stayed somewhere much nicer. The pool was tiny with a deep end of 4 feet. The hot tub did not work — which should have been mentioned when we made the reservations.

Comfortable rooms, bed and welcoming people. The best breakfast in a hotel I have ever had. Everything about this hotel I thought was great. The only down side was they hold $50 to pay for any items you are going to steal. Not at all impressed with this but I was already reserved to stay there.

Beautiful hotel. Clean, modern, elegant, quiet. Very comfortable room. A stones throw from grocery stores, many good restaurants, pharmacy, even a movie theater. Very professional and friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast. For the money (which was alarmingly cheap), you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to stay in the area. Not to mention it's across the street from a police station… I travel for business for a living and if I am back in St. Louis I know where I will be staying.

Overall great. Just needs a bit more attention to detail around the tub (the pink scum has been present during both of my visits there this year) and the beds are super bouncy. Other than that, spectacular service, breakfast is amazing, and they even had a puzzle out for people to work on in the lobby. That was a neat touch.

Clean rooms and great complementary breakfast! Got the room with two queen beds, has a flat screen TV and a mini fridge. Complementary breakfast was buffet style with a few waffle makers, the usual eggs, potatoes, bacon or sausage, and an employee making omelettes. Hotel is located in a little "shopping center" so there are things to do within walking distance. Highly recommended if you want to visit the St. Louis area!

This hotel does not know how to properly handle a wedding party. But what was even worse was the customer service we experienced at the Wildwood Hotel. The staff was rude, snippy and negligent of our needs. We only stayed one night, yet they ended up charging for three nights and claim they have no records of the charges, which caused the credit card company to file paperwork with them just so they would refund us. I can ensure that I will never be going back to this hotel and recommend that no one stays here, especially if you have a large party. It should not be this difficult.

Hotel was overpriced. The bathroom has no exhaust fan. The shower leaked into floor. The maid did not make the bed correctly.

The area is very nice and the hotel itself is clean and nicely decorated. The room was also clean and nice but the bed was very strange and felt almost like an air mattress. The continental breakfast was nothing special, typical hotel food. The vending machine on our floor did not work so I had to go to the downstairs vending machine to get a drink. These things considered bring the review to 4 stars, however, the desk clerk who had checked us in unlocked and opened our door without knocking after we had been there almost 2 hours. Overall I would stay here again but would lock the deadbolt next time!

Nicely remodeled old hotel in the heart of downtown. Restaurant does brunch and a fine happy hour. A red and a white wine is $20 in your room. A refrigerator in every room. The rooms are small but use the space well. Pet friendly. My only issue for not 5 stars is that the common area hallways are stuffy and hot and not well ventilated.

Smaller room than expected (tight). Rate wasn't comparable to hotels of this standard. Holiday Inn seemed to be nicer in quality. The room was not serviced daily. Great location, service was friendly and polite. Appreciated garage parking. Nice breakfast. Very small pool and gym room. Best for midweek stay when there aren't many people in the hotel.

Not bad. Bed was clean, but was soft. Fridge made noise, but comes empty, so I unplugged it. Pool and hot tub looked good, never went in. Breakfast was eggs, hash browns and bacon or sausage with like 12 other items and coffee/juice and was good. Staff was nice. Pretty sure ATM tracked my card because I instantly got a phishing scam from Charlotte NC and I'm from Canada and only used it there on my trip.

Very convenient location Movies, food, salon, bars and coffee are all within a 4 minute walk There is a paved running path is across the main road The 4th floor rooms have high slopes ceiling with an extra window The bedroom has a minirefrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker "Balconies are small but allow needed fresh air if preferred" There is ample free parking in both the street and garage.

If you don't like sleeping, stay here. The bed was horrible. The mattress was sagging an had uneven wear throughout. No help from management. Said most of there customers like the mattress like that. Sure they do. Do yourself a favor, go somewhere else.

This is a superb, overall four star hotel. The room, bed, linens, etc were five star. If you can fine a finer hotel at this price, my hat is off to you. Admittedly, the staff at the desk when we arrived could stand some additional training.

Hotel was great from the outside but the experience on the inside was lack luster. We booked a King suite room and here is a list of things wrong with the room. — Holes in the bedskirt which they said they would replace but never did. — Remote for the living room did not have a back cover. — One of the room darkening blind was off its track and the handle was on the sill. — The wood floors in the living room were very badly scratched with large grooves. The free breakfast was nothing to write about. Upon leaving I mentioned all these things and I was told they would let management know but I wasn't offered any compensation. The Drury hotel is nearby is brand new and a few of our relatives stayed there and said it was amazing. $160 a night and I'm still kicking myself for staying there.

My boyfriend and I booked this hotel as a getaway for our anniversary, it was last minute and we were hesitant because of other reviews however when we got there we couldn't have been more surprised. The room was beautiful and clean, the staff was so very nice, and the area around it was such a cute little town. It will always be a special to us because this is where my boyfriend asked me to marry him. I would recommend to anyone.

After reading many of the below reviews on this hotle me and my fiance were very skeptical about it. But we took a chance and it was absolutely the best hotel we have ever stayed at. Absolutely nothing to complain about except we were not ready to leave it :/ Great stay, would highly recommend.

I was there in April for with a group attending a seminar. I was charged an extra charge I was told for incidentals but when I checked out early as had an emergency at home was told it was a pet deposit although did not have a pet in room. After numerous calls to get this resolved was told since I initialed a form they were not giving me a credit. I was there with a dog group but no pet in the room. The room was fine I wont stay there again if the opportunity arises, nor will I recommend it.

The hotel was clean and room was nice, however, there were some major issues. The noise level at the hotel was ridiculous. If a door shut anywhere on the floor you knew it. Then to add to the noise it rained that night and the gutter outside our rooms window was broken and made an awful noise the entire night. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the hotel has a broken hot tub. Apparently it has been broken for a VERY LONG time and they don't intend on fixing it as you find out upon arrival. However, they have no problem making sure the pictures of it is posted on every website imaginable. Considering the hot tub was one of the primary reasons for choosing this hotel I was not the least bit happy.

I made a reservation for June 18 and 19 for TWO rooms through their on-line reservation system and to my surprise when we arrived; we only had one room reserved in their system. After a long day in St. Louis and arriving late after a Cardinals game with kids, I was extremely displeased to discover we did not have the rooms we reserved. After waiting in line behind two men, who did not have reservations and were provided two separate rooms for the evening, I was extremely upset that my rooms were not available. The clerk indicated I only had a reservation for one room and they had no vacancies for several days. I provided him with my reservation confirmation that clearly indicated two rooms. He graciously offered to put a roll away in our one room so we could accommodate 5 people instead of the 7 of us. The closest hotel that had availability was 24 miles away. So we loaded our tired selves up and navigated our way through the dark, hilly, wildlife-filled terrain to the other hotel. I called the Wildwood Hotel manager the next morning, she was going to follow up with me, and was told they would compensate the difference between our hotel rates between the hotels and that we would get a complementary stay at Wildwood. Needless to say neither of these promises were fulfilled. As far as I am concerned, this speaks volumes about their management.
