There is a lot this hotel needs to improve on… I wouldn't recommend this hotel. But if you do stay in this hotel always check your bed and make sure its clean.

My husband and I are currently staying here for the weekend, and so far it has been pretty good. Our room was very clean when we arrived and the new beds are a nice, super comfy touch. Lots of channel options on the TV which is great as well. The hotel is close to lots of food options as well as several stores nearby which is convenient. Everyone at the front desk has been very nice and they were very accommodating when we let them know we had forgotten a few toiletrie items. Wi-Fi seems to be working well also. Another plus is that the rooms have been updated and are even nicer than the pictures online show. The main downfall is that the walls and ceiling are paper thin. If someone sneezes in the room next to you, it sounds like it’s in your room. Partially because many of the rooms are connected by a door in between, which I’m sure is great for families needing two rooms, but not so great for us. People stomping around upstairs actually rattled our room. The room doors are quite loud as well, so when someone leaves their room, you’ll hear a door slam. One was so loud it woke up my sleeping husband who is a very deep sleeper. Overall, I feel I’d give it a 5/5 rating if it wasn’t so noisy due to the super thin walls and ceilings/floors. It makes the stay less relaxing. Due to that, I’ve given it a 4/5. It is definitely better than other places we’ve stayed in the area, so I’m pretty pleased.

Hotel has been updated. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Beds have been replaced and matresses now are very soft. Staff is friendly and helpful. Locstion is reasonable distance to Whiteman afb.

Wonderfully renovated property! Convenient location right on the main highway on the west side of Sedalia. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and tasty breakfast!

Comfortable bed, decent room. Nice view of hobby lobby. Honestly the view didn't bother me as much as the loudly slamming doors from other guests early in the morning. Soft close doors would go a long way. Also found a beetle in my room. When it was crawling on my neck. Just one, but still.

LOVING our stay here. The pool and hot tub are perfect temperatures. Rooms are very clean and fancy! Bed is amazingly comfortable. Couldn’t ask for anything better when having to stay away from home.

Location easg to see off main highway, rooms are newly remolded as well as remodeling during days, they have great service with friendly staff as well as accommodating for the extra work bring donr.

My family enjoyed the hospitality shared by the entire Holiday Inn Express staff—from the front desk to housekeeping, to the continental breakfast chef to the remodeling crew. They helped make the hotel feel like our home away from home. They learned each of our names and remembered conversations we shared to make our stay more comfortable and convenient (i. E. My daughter loves the pool, so they purchased pool toys to add to their services; the head of housekeeping recalled my sharing that I appreciated the convenience of the additional sink in the older room designs. Awaiting our next arrival, booked in a newly remodeled room, she placed some of the supplies which had accompanied the older room sinks. ). Also, be sure to stop in to Miss Thoy’s Restaurant. It is always a great start to your new day. Miss Thoy greets you with a delightful smile and warm energy. She makes continental dining a joyful experience. Next time we visit Sedalia, we will look forward to staying at the Holiday Inn Express.

Business people should look elsewhere if expecting to be able to have reliable internet connection for work while staying here.

Good, clean rooms. Exceptional service and gracious staff. They are remodeling but made guests aware and it never was a problem.

Stay here often for business and always have good stays. Love the staff they are very helpful and nice. Breakfast is always good too!

I stayed here for two nights in 2014 as I was moving to a new job in a new state. The atmosphere was relaxing. The location was decent as it was close to a Walmart, but far enough away too, especially since I stayed over a weekend. I like that since I good buy little snacks and nicknacks should I need them. The room was cleaned and comfortable and the bath never ran out of hot water. After packing and moving all day, a hot, relaxing bath is always a good thing. Breakfast was good, and if you didn't want the breakfast, there were plenty of restaurants close by If in the area and need a place for a night or two, I recommend this hotel.

Went on family vacation and happened to need a place to stay for the night. We called and were quoted a price of 109.99+ tax. When we went to check out the next morning the amount we owed went up to 160.00. When we asked the manager why we were charged so much more than what we were quoted she could not give an answer or explain to us the reason for the charges. We then proceeded to ask the manager for someone who could help us understand the reason for the increased charge. When asked the manager laughed in our faces and said she did not know who she could contact. The manager was extremely unprofessional. I highly do not recommend staying at this hotel due to the managing staff.

Tried calling to reserve a room for business. I am on work orders with the government, and I regularly stay at a Holiday Inn at my normal duty station. I called to book a room with the standard government rate, and spoke with a lady who was rather curt. She must have not believed I was on active work orders. After explaining to her that I was indeed on work orders for the week, she said that they could get me a room for the standard rate. Then after being transferred to the front desk, the poor kid kept trying to sell me a normal room, because he had no idea that I had spoken with what I assumed to be a manager. I explained again that I am on work orders, and I need a government rate. He tried his best to work in the confines of his job, but once again the manager told him that the only government rate I could get was $20 more than the rate I was previously quoted. The kid at the front desk was very kind and helpful, and probably a little confused. Management was abrasive. I've stayed about 60 nights at IHG hotels, and my normal one is quite nice and very accommodating. Sedalia Holiday Inn has unimpressive customer service.

I go here often. The staff is helpful. Rooms are clean. Usually it's quiet.

I liked the TV's on the exercise bikes. I was able to watch star wars and get a workout. Although the hottub was more of a luke warm tub. Room was decent.

Just tried to check in where we have had reservations for weeks. Pulled into the parking lot and the staff was rude saying they were going to call the police if we parked there. Not out fault there was some concert next door. Won't go back there again! Tried to explain that we had reservation, staff was rude! Hope no one wants to stay there, I know we will be staying elsewhere.

This was the worst hotel stay ever!
The one staff member that was working that night was rude, and very unprofessional! My debit card was hit 5 times for the room. That's alot of money to be taking out of my account. I had to call the hotel and my bank to fix this each time. That is not fun when you are on a trip. The front desk person telling another guest that I only brought my mom with me so I would not have to watch my child is beyond wrong! Oh and being told you are too loud when your child is in bed is ridiculous. The toilet being clogged when you get there, and the being told you will have to plunge it, and clean it up yourself is not a good thing. Then to have cold breakfast that was supposed to be hot was just another thing. I paid to stay at what I thought was a nice hotel? I was beyond disappointed with this stay. We always book 10 or more rooms. That's alot of people to disappoint at one time.

Standard holiday Inn hotel… bed was comfy, room had fridge microwave and individual coffee cup machine, and breakfast area was very clean and well stocked. I didn't interact very much with staff but when I did they were friendly and helpful.

Booked a room through IHG with a Military discount and when checking in, they wouldn't honor the discount. Charged me the full price. The front desk clerk denied me to talk to the Manager when I asked and was very rude about it. After 10+ hours on the road, all I wanted was a nice place to relax and enjoy my evening. I'm glad IHG fixed the problem. Probably will not stay at this hotel again. I don't like being treated like I was at this hotel. Everything else about the Hotel was great! Just need better people skills.

Stayed for 3 days a few months back. Every thing was clean. No issues. Close to good places to get a bite to eat such as Lemaires Cajun place and Coltons next door. Streets on the outer road to the east are not that busy to go for a good run on.

Our extended family stays here about once a year. We are always thrilled when Thoy, their delightful breakfast lady, recognizes us in such a friendly way. I won't even mention that it is one of the cleanest, most well-presented breakfast bars around. Other pluses are the comfortable beds, extra clean rooms, and perfect water temperature in both the pool and hot tub. But we appreciate Thoy the most.

Buyer beware! We stayed here in August and paid partially with a $250 pre-paid visa gift card. We discovered later that the front desk mistakenly processed the transaction on our credit card instead. By now, the gift card, presumed empty, is destroyed, along with our recourse. Did Holiday Inn Express own up to it's mistake? No. The person who handled the transaction did a cya move and feigned no memory of this. This location is at best incompetent, definitely not customer friendly, and perhaps even dishonest. They won't get any more of my business, and they don't deserve yours.

Reservation made three (3) months in advance. Staff unable to locate on arrival. Printed confirmation from hotel computer. Desk person booked only one night. On return to room for business teleconference the next day, unable to get in. Went through confirmation process again (for four (4) night stay) but was told they couldn't change rate for the first night. Limited exercise facilities. Nice bed. Reasonable size bath. Will research more locations for future visits.

My family stayed here for a week and what a great place. Hot breakfast in a really nice breakfast area. Great pool with Jacuzzi. Nice business center. Helpful and friendly staff and a very clean facility. Would definitely recommend.
