Dope hotel… friendly staff and outside rooftop bar and patio area VERY NICE.

Stayed there after seeing a concert at The Pageant. Very beautiful place right in the heart of the action. The scenery from the roof top is amazing.

Worst hotel ever. Parking lot has not been touched for snow removal. Went in and said something and the staff was rude as hell. Over $400 for 2 nights and now I have to pay for a town truck to come get me out of their parking lot. This place is a joke. Do not stay here.

When we arrived we were told the restaurant was closed on Sundays and Mondays. I wish that I had known that before we drove there. The pet fee online says 45 but the hotel charged 50. I asked about coffee in the morning and was told "you have what's in your room". When we got to our room I went to put some waters in fridge and there was a half empty bottle of wine already in there, so I assume cleaning is not very thorough. This "boutique" hotel is way over priced for what you get and how you get treated.

Lovely rooftop and even though they were very busy the food was excellent and did not take too long. They have updated since my last visit and the numerous seating areas and gorgeous flowers create a lovely atmosphere. The view always delights. Love this St. Louis treasure!

But I don’t recommend The Pin Up Bowl… In today’s world of conjuring lies and making racist allegations against black men in which later Is found to be untrue and criminal and ultimately exposing their racist nature. Unfortunately this establishment hired a also known by the name of Cat. Over a year and half ago I came there to meet a couple of friends that I later took home I left out of town for a couple of months, when I returned to the Delmar loop area, friends at another establishment were asking me where have I been, and what happen the last time I went there, they said that I was banned and that I I shouldn’t go down there. They also didn’t believe the accusations being they were so far out of my character, I immediately called my friends I took home that night and ask them what happened that evening, and they were just as puzzled as me saying we had a good time left peacefully and went home. I was told that (Cat) who was also a new manager there stated that I was banned because I was asked to leave and I refused and I said that I would later come shoot the place up when I was shown a picture of who accused me I quickly realized that it was a young lady who also worked nextdoor at the moon rise hotel and over a year previously we had a few words in regards to my bill in comparison to my order, from that point on I remember whenever I came there she remembered and would clearly ignored me in taking my order.

Atmosphere is mellow. View is beautiful… the roof top a must see.

The Moonrise is exceptional and a one-if-a-kind thanks to the passion and attention of owner Joe Edwards. His fascinating eclectic collection of Space Race art and artifacts is one of the best on public display anywhere in the world. The 3000 pound, 20 foot diameter, solar powered revolving replica of the Moon that rotates over the Roof Garden Lounge is probably his largest lunar artifact — and a dust sized fragment of the Moon may be the tiniest. Both are amazing! It’s open for free public viewing and definitely worth a visit if you’re in St. Louis.

Great staff. Super accommodating. Will definitely provide first aid kit if one of the women in your group drops the second piece of glass that night and cuts her foot open and you have to perform impromptu EMT work. 10/10

We went to a show at Delmar Hall.
It was so awesome because we ate at a fabulous restaurant (Tavolo V) and walked to the venue and it was all within five minutes.
The whole “moon” collectible thing was amazing.

We had a great experience at The Moonrise. The best part is the location. It’s right next-door to the Pageant. The hotel has an art deco theme, while staying modern and clean. We loved our room and the bed was comfortable. We did encounter a couple of negatives. I prepaid for valet and breakfast. We told the valet that we had the pass, and we wanted valet. He had my husband self-park. Luckily the parking was close, but it’s still disappointing to not receive a service you had paid. The breakfast in the hotel was decent. We both agreed that our waitress was fabulous. The $25 voucher they give you doesn’t cover their breakfast. The basic 2 eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns is $13. With coffees and orange juice we ended paying another $20. If you’re looking for convenience and don’t mind overpaying then I’d recommend eating at the hotel. If we wouldn’t have had the voucher we would have found a restaurant in the area for brunch. Overall I’d recommend this hotel. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit St. Louis.

Definitely unique! Tons of photo opportunities here! The shampoo and conditioners smell amazing! I’d want to come back if I’m ever in town again! They also have nice bath robes and a sound machine to help you sleep! The rooftop was super nice and it’s not too far from a 24 hour diner. A lot of other entertainment was in walking distance.

This hotel was amazing. My wife and I visited for our honeymoon. The suite was themed and well appointed with an incredibly comfortable bed. The roof top bar was an outstanding experience and we met some cool strangers to talk to, a few fellow travelers and locals as well. The hotel is walking distance from several other local bars and restaurants, and overall was just a killer experience. Totally worth the cost which was a little higher, but still pretty comparable to other, less hip hotels in the area.

Excellent hotel — but not for the usual reasons… I've stayed in hotels all over the world for years and never experienced the unique warmth felt at this hotel. The first moment, talking with the valet who parked my car, was such a warm experience I knew I had made an excellent choice in hotels. The spaced-out decorations and decor were so much fun, from the lobby all the way to, and including, my inviting and comfortable hotel room. Wow! The online photos were amazing but don't do the place justice. Then, when I was finally ready for bed and turned out the lights, the sudden starlight that appeared in my room was a total shock! Loved it and went to sleep mesmerized by my own personal field of stars. Unreal and certainly magical. Thank you for a lovely experience, including the hotel staff that were consistently friendly at each interaction, from room service (delicious) to housekeeping and, even more surprising, the woman who checked me into the hotel (book lover Gladys). This is how hospitality should be. I plan to revisit on my next trip to St. Louis. Thank you, again.

This is my second time staying here. I love the area as there is so much to do and awesome places to eat. The last time we stayed here it was May and the prices were very reasonable for a four star hotel. August visits are A LOT more… crazy high. Everyone here is very nice and I asked for 15 extra hangers and they brought them no problem. I love both bars and the restaurant is good. The valets always ask you how you are doing whenever you go out and come back. It's also a "pet friendly" area which I like. The only thing I would say is returning patrons should get some kind of a discount.

I didn't stay overnight but ate at the Eclipse Restaurant. The restaurant is really small, basically a few tables with a bar, but has a great atmosphere. The food is a bit expensive, but definitely worth the price. I got a brunch burger, which was fantastic. The fries were super good too. If you're in the Loop and don't want to go to Fitz's or Blueberry Hill, check out the Eclipse Restaurant (as long as you have a small party).

Excellent location and SUCH comfortable beds. The tequila sunrise at check in was a nice touch too!

This place is great! The staff is so nice and on top of everything and the food was excellent and the rooftop bar with the view you have up there is damn nice!

I surprised my wife with a night at the Moonrise hotel for our first anniversary and it was an incredible experience. From the check in and greeting to the restaurant and rooftop bar, to the jacuzzi tub to the breakfast in bed. The staff at Moonrise did everything they could to ensure we had a memorable stay and I will recommend a stay to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in St. Louis. Also, while we didn't have to take advantage of it, they are very dog friendly!

I've never stayed here at the hotel, but have seen the suites, which are beautiful and we'll designed. Each are themed. The furniture and collections in the lobby are interesting. I have been coming here for years though to frequent the bar and sometimes the restaurant. Good food, great bartenders, and great drinks. The rooftop is the place to go on a nice afternoon or evening for drinks and beautiful views of St. Louis.

Great atmosphere. I have not stayed at the hotel overnight but I have visited the rooftop on several occasions. It is very relaxed and laid back. It is right next door to the Pageant. The rooftop is a great place to enjoy while waiting on your event to start at the Pageant.

Attended an event on the rooftop and it was an incredible setting. Great views, great decor, just great. The sun was a bit much, but what can you do. The staff was very on top of things and kept the place cleaned up throughout the event. I can’t wait to come back and stay at this venue and attend another event!

Stylishly modern, but still warmly comfortable. Fabulously welcoming staff from the front door to the chic rooftop bar, with clean, well maintained and secure rooms. All the small considerate extras in my room and the hotel's attention to detail made me feel so pampered, not to mention how accommodating they were for our 2 giant Irish Wolfhounds! A perfect stay.

Front desk ladies were so nice and helpful! Rooms are great and the location is perfect! Have stayed several times and the Moonrise never disappoints! Had some drinks on the rooftop to start a great night. I would always recommend the Moonrise.

The Moonrise is always a wonderful place to visit. The staff (from the front desk to the valet to the restaurant) are very kind and welcoming. They try to learn your name and strike up a conversation with you which I think is great. Besides that, their location (on the Delmar Loop) is very convenient. I've been using the hotel for 3 years now and will definitly continue to do do.

What an amazing place to stay! I was impressed with every aspect of our stay here. The staff was amazingly friendly. The room could not have been better. Clean, spacious, comfy bed and pillows. We stayed in a Jacuzzi King room, which was well worth the extra price. Room service was prompt and delicious, and we had a great time enjoying the bar on the rooftop. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous! There are great restaurants and shopping that are in the neighborhood, so it was easy to walk around and enjoy all the Delmar Loop has to offer. We will be back very soon!

It had an excellent interior. Very colorful and space themed. The workout room was empty most of the time, and had high tech equipment. The service was very nice, and the people were as well. One of the easiest overnights ever for me.

I chose to stay at Moonrise because of its proximity to the Pageant. It's very convenient to be able to walk next door for the show & back after. The rooms are modern, clean & have great views of Delmar. The beds are quite comfortable & the staff is very friendly & helpful.

My husband and I just spent the night there for the first time, and we had such a fantastic experience, such a fun and unique atmosphere but still very classy! The were all very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the drinks at the roof top bar were delicious and strong! And an added bonus, when we checked in, we found out that we were given the room with the only massage chair in the whole hotel! We will deffinatly be back!

This place is amazing! We got the suite and the service was amazing! We got to bring our pups and everyone was so amazing to them too! So close to the Pageant which is why we were there! I highly recommend staying! We will definitely be back!

Really cool hotel. Unique design. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only things that could have been better would be having a microwave in the room and having decent toilet paper instead of the thin sandpaper they had. Otherwise a very good stay.

I came in from out of town from a long drive and was warmly greeted by Will and Matt at the front desk. They were incredibly polite and made me feel immediately welcome. As for the hotel, its appearance and overall ambience perfectly matches all of the photos on the website and on this page — from the cascade of colors on the lobby staircase to the stylish, space-themed motifs throughout the hotel. The room I was given was extremely clean and the window views provided a nice glimpse of the Delmar Loop. And make sure that you make your way to the Eclipse restaurant (which is attached to the hotel) for a wonderfully creative breakfast and outstanding service! Thank you!

We booked a room for an anniversary. My husband surprised me with a suite. The room was beautiful. Bathroom well appointed and clean. I'm quite picky, so it was great. The staff is super friendly and check in took all of 5 min. The hallways are lit in a dim blue, quite nice actually. They accommodate pets for a small fee. They even have dog cookies and water bowls for them in the lobby. I can't wait to stay again.

The best spot to stay in St Louis! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was clean, inviting, and comfortable. The small touches go far, especially the galaxy painted on the ceiling that we didn't notice until we turned off the lights to sleep. Delightful! An absolutely perfect location next to The Pagaent. This throwback gem is a perfect destination for a weekend brunch. The staff is fantastic, the food was delicious and inventive and the embiance is warm and fun. Add to that, the place is never too full but seems to be doing well. Highly recommended!

I have been an infrequent patron of the rooftop bar over the last couple of years. In that time I have never received a bad cocktail — the staff are professionals who know how to mix a drink. The atmosphere is pretty intimate when the crowd volume is low — lights are dim, seating is loungey, and music is not too loud for conversations. When it's crowded and later in the night, the atmosphere builds to a higher-energy buzz that hits the right notes for starting a long night with good friends.

Terrible customer service experience. I booked a last minute one night stay through Kayak at $130.00 per night but upon arrival was informed that this was a government employee rate. I explained my situation and the front desk employee acknowledged it and went ahead with the reservation but NEVER MENTIONED A RATE CHANGE. I assumed that he made an exception and went ahead with the original rate. The room was $300.00 per night, RIDICULOUS! The advertisement of these false rates is borderline fraud and completely unacceptable. As far as the hotel goes, it's essentially a Best Western Plus with tacky disco lights. Stay away.

I went to the moonrise as part of a bridal party getting ready for a wedding. The lobby and rooms are absolutely beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely look to book there in the future. P. S. I love the space theme!

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and it’s by far one of my favorite hotels to stay at. The valet guy even remembered me, even though my two visits were over 4 months apart. The staff during check in has always been very polite and friendly, and I was even offered a complimentary drink while checking in. The room (2 queen beds) was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom is nice and modern and I really like the showers there. Better than most hotel showers. The breakfast is …excellent. Even though the breakfast isn’t complimentary, the quality of the breakfast is worth the money spent and beats traditional complimentary hotel breakfasts by a long shot. This is the only place I want to stay when I come to St. Louis and will continue to be my hotel of choice.

Average hotel. Beds sloped in the middle. Small details starting to wear the rooms down a bit. Staff is very friendly and the gym is pretty decent. Location is nice as well. I'd compare it to an older Marriott.

Location is great, close to a lot of restaurants and things to do. The service is great everyone is friendly. The rooms are very cozy with plush beds with plenty of pillows. A white noise machine was even in our room which made a world of difference.

The only thing that brought the experience down a little was the hotel restaurant. The staff was really nice, but it took forever to get our food. I can't comment on the hotel itself since I was not an overnight guest. I visited the rooftop bar with friends celebrating a birthday. I loved it and would definitely return. The view was great and the hotel looks very unique and interesting. I would definitely consider booking a room someday!

Definitely one of the coolest hotels in St Louis. We actually live in the area but stayed because we were going to a concert at the Pageant, which is literally right next door. One of the best things about this hotel is it's walkability to everything in the loop. It also has a super cool retro modern space feel and a cool rooftop bar with a moon! That's not a typo there is a freaking moon.

It was our first visit to the Moonrise. We were in St Louis to see Blue October at the Pageant. Our room was awesome. We had a picturesque view of the downtown area. We would highly recommend The Moonrise.

The Moonrise is an interesting hotel that breaks the standard mold you'll typically find at most major brands. The staff is helpful, the rooms are priced well and the area has a lot of great places to eat and hang out. I would recommend this location for business or pleasure.

Pretty expensive hotel unless you use discount codes or do last minute booking. Very nice rooftop bar and rooms are well above average. Nice bathrooms and lots of local food, till as late at 2pm. Another good stay.

Great bar with decent prices and good service. I was able to get my mint julip fix on derby day. Have not stayed in the hotel as I'm a St. Louis local, but the rooftop bar is a great night stop with a great view.

Fantastic Boutique Hotel located in the Delmar Loop. Our kids love the NASA space theme and all of the collectibles and memorabilia. We love it here. The Delmar Loop has loads of fun and trendy restaurants and shops. We love walking the street checking out all the shops and the walk of fame.

I was there overnight for an event, and was very impressed. Connor at the front desk was very friendly, and energetic. The room was clean, and we'll stocked for 3 people. We explored the entire building, and the rooftop was awesome! The road construction was an annoyance but wasn't really a hindrance.

Smoking area is pitiful, zero wind block or heating. The Valet's were acting like a bunch of monkeys, all they lack is popcorn & beer. Try to act professional instead of standing around blocking the doorway acting like you're at a bar. Extremely rude security, be glad I was so exhausted when your goon asked "Do you have a problem? " Yes, I do. With your attitude & conduct. Did not feel like home, will not return.

I have stayed at the Moonrise several times and it has been great every time. The rooms are very comfortable, and the staff is always super friendly. It is in a great location, close to shops and eateries. It is right next to a venue called The Pageant and is great to stay at when seeing a show. I will definitely keep coming back.

We went there for New Years Eve this year, and normally drink service on nye is understandably slow. However, the Moonrise has fast bartenders, and we never waited too long for drinks. The atmosphere was great, and they were open until 3AM. They provided hats and horns, and there was a champagne toast. No cover on nye made it seem like it would be less than par, but I had a really great time. I couldn't have had a better evening.
