Rooms are clean — Housekeeping is excellent… watch out for "double talk" from the desk clerks — will quote a person one price on the phone whenever booking a room, but will charge credit card a different price whenever one has cked in. Claim to be a "dog friendly" Inn; but in all reality — are NOT! … If a person brings their pet — i. E. — larger dog… as in our case, a Chocolate Lab into the lobby area, either the co-managers, or Marilena * (sp)? one of the fron…t desk representatives, will tell the dog's owner, as was my own personal experience — that "the owner/manager called, and he stated I would have to remove my animal from the "breakfast serving area"… even though neither one of us was clearly in the area** BTW, breakfast time had already been OVER for a couple of hours whenever this incident occurred… Then, approx. 10 minutes later, whenever I came into the lobby area again, that same manager, male, informed me I would have to LEAVE immediately since I was "harassing" one of "his employees"… said employee was positioned directly behind this individual, & kept "rolling their eyes " @ me the entire time their"boss" was speaking irrationally with myself. When I asked why the were so afraid of my dog, he once again repeated his rant — threatening to call the police if I didn't return to my room, pack up, & immediately leave the premises… He "dismissed "myself as I attempted to try and explain my "side of the situation" in a calm voice. HE said he was "offended by MY behavior, especially since they had tried to accommodate us?!? … Whenever I disagreed, he stated — I have aw degree, I'm American, and you are an "uneducated", and ignorant person. … Rather than continue to waste my time, and further cause a "scene", I did return to my room, and began to pack up my belongings. It was close to the day's designated "ck. Out time", and at first, Marilena* (sp) REFUSED to initiate the ck. Out procedure so I wouldn't be charged an additional day's stay, just for having to deal with the whole outrageous situation they bROUGHT upon themselves… DO not even waste one's money staying here! IT is mainly a truckers' hotel… actually an old Hampton Inn, which lost it's designation whenever the newer, more modernized version was opened in this city. The onsite managers pretend to be "friendly" pro — American, & accommodating to a person's face;but as soon as they are not in hearing distance, they will belittle their guests — just as they do with their cleaning help. The woman, who has taken on a "Americanized" sounding name, ws shouting AT the top of her lungs at several of the cleaning staff in the morning, outdoors while guests could hear, and observe.
