I did Priceline express deal and I asked for a 4 star hotel. The hotel we got was terrible. Priceline's claim of 4 stars is untrue. CLARION HOTEL MEDICAL CENTER-MIDTOWN of Little Rock Arkansas steer clear of it! It is at best a 2 stars hotel who may have been 4 stars back in the day. The second you walk into the lobby you are met with a bad vibe. While the atrium was bright everything else was dark. When you look down you see stains on every carpet from lobby to your room. It smelled of old fried food from a darken dank restaurant. There is one elevator it is also a service elevator; so it has two doors front and back. As we got on it the back door opened and we saw a industrial working kitchen. A server was trying to load his food into the elevator until to deliver some where. He was courteous and let us ride first. Doubling as a service elevator there were scratches along the walls and the wood paneling smelled awful! This place is old. When we walked into our room (3309) we were met with a blast of HOT air. The A/C was blowing but not cool air. The face of the A/C unit was lying on the floor showing us all of it's inner dusty workings (gross). The one chair had stains of probably blood and other body fluids. We called down immediately told them of the problems and they said they would give us another room, they would be up with a different room key. After a 10 minute wait we had to go down and get another key. After another 10 minute wait, while they found another room, there was no offer of any compensation, upgrade, nor apology. They found us a 2nd room. It's A/C worked, but stains everywhere! Just like the last room, the one chair had stains of probably blood and other body fluids! Full disclosure: they acknowledge these shortcomings in that they prominently displayed drawings of their place after future renovations. They are becoming a Sheraton and the drawings look nice. But that didn't help me when we needed them. While I blame them, I also strongly blame Priceline for not doing their homework, nor research. It's a bad reflection on Priceline and I'm really disappointed in them because I've had really good experiences with Priceline prior to this. Like I said we did a Priceline Express deal — not sure if I will do it again.
