Amazing food. Friendly and helpful staff. I got the miner burger garlic fries and stuffed tots. 110% recommend.

Really clean and cool things to look at. They even have a 75 old roulette.

Good reviews were not true. 5/17/21 Elevator repair had been taken apart for months and stairs everywhere. No baggage services. Weather temp. 50+ degrees, No hot water to take shower. Check in 3 pm. Coffee service available in the morning, no coffee. We had a small dog 7 lbs and she has her own potty designated area in every room we stay. We cleaned her mess. Next day check out, they wanted to charge cost for her mess in the lobby bar (common area) when there were 3 other dogs. If her mess was addressed to our attentions, we will clean up. The fact is that the hotel lobby carpet is dirty. We have a social network group in Summerlin, NV. Our 100+ community members already wanted to know about this hotel. We are not going back.

We are so glad we happened upon this hotel, it is very clean and well kept. The room was spacious, beds are comfortable and I LOVE the clawfoot tub! The food was delicious, you can tell the cook takes pride in preparing meals for the customers. Would definitely come back. Unfortunately we didn't have any encounters with the ghosts, loved learning about the history of this hotel though.

I was moving from northern Nevada and got caught in the snow Monday. The Mizpah staff was so kind, Brittany at the front desk was amazing. The staff in the Pittman Cafe helped me with an odd request and the food was wonderful. The hotel itself is beautiful. I can’t recommend staying here enough and will be back.

We had an absolute blast at this pet friendly hotel, casino and bar. The restaurant serves tasty food with generously poured drinks. The entire staff is courteous and will serve you food in the lobby where you can sit with your dog. If you are traveling with a pet (large or small) and looking for a place to stay between Reno and Vegas, stay here!

This is a lovely hotel. Very quaint. It feels as if I’ve stepped back in time with modern amenities. Sadly I did not experience any paranormal activity, though we stayed in room 502, which is supposed to be the most active. Our friends were in the Red Lady’s room which is much nicer than our own. One of them says he has had visitations from the lady herself over the years.

Good food. Cool place to stop and check out the age of everything in motel. 1906!

10 out of 10! With its age I wasn’t sure what to expect but our room was a beautiful combo of vintage with a touch of new and definitely clean. Pittman Cafe has excellent service and food as well! Staff was super nice and if you are more into history than gambling may I suggest their scavenger hunt! We can’t wait to come back!

The historical ambience is incredible. The rooms are very well appointed, comfortable and clean. The bar, cafe and slots are all located in the same area so it’s very convenient. I look forward to returning!

So far, so good. Enjoying the top floor and the hotel restaurant is currently limited, but does have nice options like osso bucco.

The most beautiful haunted hotel in the quaint little town of Tonopah. It was beautifully restored to its original state. The staff is so helpful and accommodating. It has a cute little restaurant with great food. The bar is gorgeous! We will definitely revisit this town and hotel. It has so much history and places to explore!

Love this place! Great staff and Cheri was great! The atmosphere awesome. Our two boys 9 and 5 loved it also. Great food. Dinner and breakfast. Also Cameron really nice guy. Very informative about the history. Will for sure be going back soon!

We stayed one night and had a wonderful time. The rooms were very nice. The food was deliciious. We had a lovely dinner and also a delicious breakfast. We were two couples staying the night. We enjoyed the small casino and had a great time. I recommend staying there. Having dinner or breakfast or both.

We never got the chance to stay, but we will be back to stay the night for sure. The hotel itself is stunning and the history is amazing and the people are even better highly recommend.

A beautifully renovated historic hotel… and it’s haunted. We were staying on the fifth floor, room 508. Woke up in the middle of the night and saw a cat jumping off the bed and then it vanished before it hit the floor. It was a short haired dark grey cat. Is anyone missing a cat?

I have stayed at The Mizpah numerous times and it is my favorite vintage hotel. The hotel was booked so I stayed in the Hostel located behind the hotel. I gave this rating a 5 because I know the hotel and love it … but will never stay in the Hostel again. The bed was uncomfortable (felt like a block of foam), walls are thin (I could hear my neighbor snoring and I am a heavy sleeper/snoree. Sorry. He must have heard me also) …
Bare bones sleeping room which I didnt mind… just would not do it again… plus was quoted $35 for a full, $45 for a queen… when I arrived there were only 2 full rooms so I took one but when I checked my reciept after I left I was charged for a queen. Again… for the price it was fine and I am usually not picky but just would rather pay more and get a room… Still my favorite place to stay and the food is great. I just arrived too late this trip and it was closed… next trip…

Customer Service in all departments = 5-stars Well restored and kept landmark hotel = 5-stars Value for the room = 5-stars If you look up CUSTOMER SERVICE in the dictionary you should see a picture of Jodi as she went above and well beyond anything an employee would do for as customer even days after I had already left the hotel?! PERFECT 10! That Mizpah allows dogs would typically make me downgrade the place, but this one shines so brightly in every other way a 5-star is what they deserve!

Hotel was clean; interesting; well priced; and the staff was great. Only complaint, the restaurant was only a 3 and way overpriced. Would certainly stay here again.

I arrived late after a long day motorcycling in the high desert. My room was clean, the food great and the staff terrific. The hotel's history is very interesting and I'm looking forward to another stay next year.

Great place-a real throwback in time. Nice quaint old-school casino attached to the hotel. Push up to the bar and have a drink with the locals. Even the Hostel room was very very nice.

Nice cute surprise in the middle of NV. Love old buildings and history and this place has it! Ended up in the hostel which was a little loud in the morning but got me on the road earlier! Breakfast was great and actually got the well done hash browns I ordered!

A gem of a find! Heavenly beds. Warm reception. Lovely touches everywhere like coffee served just outside the rooms in a beautiful spread of white mugs, sugars and creams. Definition of an oasis. I'm THE pickiest person ever and I was absolutely refreshed in every way from this stay.

Me, my 16 year old daughter and her friend stayed there last night. Drove up from Vegas just to experience the "history" associated with the hotel. Needless to say, it did not disappoint! We had a few experiences… things found in the room we did not bring, TV turning off on its own, piece of wood left in the window to prop it open wound up on the floor. As we were walking out of our room into the hallway, a door was being opened and closed vigorously. Super friendly staff, charming hotel. It was an unforgettable stay to say the least!

Our room was beautiful and clean. We loved the themed decor and everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Really glad we got to experience the Mizpah!

I may be pulling the trigger early but our stay for the night has been great so far. We got the wagon room and it’s pretty nice. Love to see small towns like this with nice renovated hotels with the history. Read a story about the place while in our room talking about the 4th floor is “haunted” by a brother and a sister who are children. Not telling the wife about that story till the morning. Even if so; the reason they’re here is because they loved spending their time here. Bar downstairs is nothing special. Still a cool place to stay at.

Interesting spot in the middle of nowhere! Lovely property with great and helpful staff. Don't expect great Internet as you are in the middle of nowhere! Would suggest it's the best place in town to stay!

Very nice hotel. Friendly staff at the hotel and casino. I loved my small but quaint room with a very comfortable bed. My only negative comment is the television had very few channels, most which were not coming in clearly. However, watching TV is not a main concern of a hotel stay for me.

My sister and I just stayed two nights there. We absolutely loved the whole experience. We are still talking about it. The entire place is decorated beautifully. The room was great. The bar and lobby area are charming. We absolutely enjoyed every bite of food we had in the Pittman Cafe. The staff could not have been any nicer and we especially liked our server Robin. I would really love to come back another time and perhaps stay on the 5th floor!

Cool historic hotel but not great value. The Mizpah hotel is an interesting place to stay. It reopened several years ago so everything is in good condition but it has been kept in a very historic style giving it loads of character. Our room was small but had a king size bed and lots of charm as did the bar area and lobby. Only disappointment is that the price is quite high for an out of the way place like Tonopah especially when the hotel doesn't throw anything else in for free — no happy hour or free breakfast. There is meant to be coffee on each floor from 5:30am but by 8am when I got up it was all gone and was not replenished. I had to go downstairs to buy one for $3. Sure it's not the end of the world but the room prices are already high and I've never seen even the most budget motels not replenish the coffee.

A beautiful, historic hotel in the middle of the desert. Wonderfully preserved, just like stepping back in time a century ago. Even if you don't stay here, and are just passing through town, you have to stop in and check it out. It is supposed to be haunted, but I didn't see any ghosts unfortunately. I stayed here for a night and the room decor is really cool also.

The most beautiful hotel I've ever seen. When you walk in you feel like you've stepped back in time. It's so elegant and also comfortable. The staff is welcoming and helpful. I didn't want to leave. The hotel as well as the town it's located is a world all to itself. If you ever want to escape, relax and meet some great people visit the Mizpah. I can't wait to go back.

We checked in with our Chihuahua, Zena & she was given a package of doggy ameinities; nicely wrapped in doggy wrap. Great burgers as we watched the 2018 Superbowl.

A classic western hotel that is a no miss for travelers along highway US 95. Not a large inn, but solidly built during the town's rush days… Tonopah was, and really is, one of the great mining towns of the west: very notable and scenic in the high desert of Nevada. The food was very good, but I thought could be somewhat better. The wine options, however, for an inn in the middle of the Great Basin, was superb. The atmosphere was excellent, and the service was very good. One other point: the rooms are very nicely appointed, and I stayed in one of their suites. It featured one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in. The suite was really very nice, and much appreciated. A final point here is that there is rumour that this inn is haunted… as there had been some deaths and even murders many years ago… I experienced some unusual sensations, actually, and will not gainsay anything along this line… This therefore is really a great old hotel with a lot of atmosphere and character, not to be missed…!

Seems like they are hemorrhaging money I've noticed all the solar plant signs are gone it appears they have pulled out. Their Spa line has been discontinued I used to purchase lotions candles bath salts they are no longer available. They had the best chef for a hundred miles in any direction that's not saying a lot in Nevada but it was really a lovely dinner now it's become a burger joint and choice of the day. It's such a disappointment after being one of my favorite stops for many many decades through many owners. The furnishings are still lovely reproductions. I bet Dixie Carter would have a heart attack to know her photo is opposite the ladies powder room. She was a classy lady and would definitely be upset about that, just gauche.

From being a ghost town hotel and being run down and almost closed it has been returned to a glorious place to stay, eat, and enjoy the ambiance of an old fashioned hotel with all the cleanliness and courtesy this small town can provide. We would highly recommend a stay and adventure!

While I haven't stayed here, I come at least twice a week for a meal. The bartenders are nice and the food is pretty good. Always a treat to get food from one of the haunted places in town.

The Mizpah is a wonderfully restored century-old hotel which, unlike other old hotels I've stayed in, does not feel cramped. The restoration did a great job of balancing the feel of a classic turn of the century building with all the modern amenities we've become accustomed to. It's run by cheerful people and the rates are quite affordable considering the look and feel, as well as the location, of the hotel.

Stopped in for lunch. The four of us had a variety of meals, all were excellent. Service was very efficient and personable.

This was the coolest hotel that I have ever stayed in! The history behind this place is interesting and the whole theme of the hotel is enchanting. Definitely stay here if you have a chance! (P. S. Little on the spendy side)

Lovely drink before dinner in gorgeous lobby. Delicious dinner including carrot sweet potato soup, sole, and lady in red wine. 10+ hours sleep in comfy bed. Thank you, Mizpah!

Supposedly haunted but I didn't see anything scary. Very cool place with lots of history. Friendly staff. Rooms are SMALL though, so be aware.

Although we did not stay at the hotel, we did enjoy the restaurant. The food was well prepared and plated. The service was great. I highly recommend this place for a nice dinner.

Loved it here, the room was so nice and very clean. They were all very helpful. We were in a room that is said to be haunted by the red lady (we did not see her, but though we heard her about 3am). Eat in the restaurant they have food was good, but you could till it was microwaved. Will go back there anytime out that way again.

We stopped in for a quick breakfast that wasn't at a casino or fast food. We had the Mizpah breakfast muffin. It was delicious and only $7 and quite filling. The place is beautiful and nicely restored, keeping with the original decor as best we could tell. They appeared to have a decent wine selection which we didn't expect in such a small town. The next time we are headed to Burning Man and pass through this area we plan to make it a night at this hotel before heading playa. Possibly even requesting to stay on the Red Lady suite!

My wife and I stayed at the Mizpah on our way back to Vegas from Tahoe. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was very nice. I was extremely surprised to find this little gem in the middle of the desert. The house band that was playing were absolutely fantastic. We had a meal in the coffee shop, and once again, the food and service were great.

A relic in the middle of nowhere. It is not just a place to stay, but a trip back in time. Has a real old west feel. Very clean and cozy. They also have great drinks and food.

Stopped in for dinner as we pulled into town late. Staff was fun and friendly, warm and inviting. Meal was reasonably priced and tasted good. Can't speak to rooms though, sorry.

Not exactly a tourist attraction! I read about the hotel online, and thought they would have an interesting gift shop, or at least postcards! But no. There is a very small bar/restaurant, and that's about it.

We stayed here after driving for 14 hours, and basically passed out the second we hit the pillows, so we didn't see much. The hotel was very clean, and breakfast at their restaurant was awesome! Front desk associate was extremely friendly and checked us in quickly. Would highly recommend this place.

Had a confirmed reservation for room 502 for 05/15/17. Called and booked this room for the historical and paranormal significance. It was supposed to be a special event for my wife and son. We planned our trip around this reservation. When we arrived to check in we were told that someone "got sick" in that room and they didn't find it until too late (the words of the front desk clerk) so they had to move us to some random room on the 4th floor. I wasn't there because I needed a place to sleep, I was there for a specific experience. I asked why we weren't contacted regarding this change. I was told someone tried and couldn't make contact. B. S. All of it. When the room is cleaned when the prior person checks out how did they not notice someone "got sick"? Also, no one called my cell to notify me, nor did they email. They have my email since I received the confirmation. There are no missed calls or voicemails on my phone. All very suspect. Was our room given away to someone else? Who knows. When we decided to leave (since the experience was now ruined) the clerk mentioned a $25 cancellation fee for a last minute cancellation. Are you kidding me? Mizpah cancelled the reservation when they changed my confirmed room. What a mess. We will never be back. I was there for the experience, called well in advance to make sure it was went off without a hitch, and they failed me. Simple as that.

What an amazing walk back in time. The lobby is stunning and I highly recommend the patty melt in the restaurant. We were there for Jim Butler Days and everyone was in costume at the hotel from early 1900's. It was like being transported back it time. It was really, really amazing. I have been there before, but the staff costumes really finished the movie like scenes perfectly.

Very nice restored hotel. We stayed in a double room on 4th floor in Emma room. Large room. Wonderful comfy king & queen bed. Had claw foot tub and shower. Ate in the restaurant in hotel. Good wine. Had a glass of Ruby's red wine named for a lady who was murdered there on the 5th floor years ago… Hotel staff was great. Bar staff was great. Decor, wallpaper and furnishings took me back in time. Has bank vault in hotel, Jack Dempsey room etc. A true gem! Will stay again…

What a absolutely delightful hotel. The room was cozy and extremely comfortable. Gail, the housekeeper took the time to share her ghost experiences with me. Gail called The Lady in Red out and a orb appeared and darted across the hallway! Everyone from the front desk to the awesome restaurant staff were so nice and it was the coolest experience. Food is magnificent! I'm a chef and highly recommend eating in the restaurant. I will definitely return.

So glad to have discovered this lovely hotel! It's restored beautifully, with little authentic touches everywhere, and yet also has modern amenities (plenty of outlets in room for all your device charging needs, and central air). Coffee only in the morning, with a pretty cafe downstairs to get some breakfast.

God, I can't sleep at night 'cause I heard some annoying footsteps! And also, I heard someone crying, maybe a ghost.

It is quiet and beautifully redone. Great bar in entrance hall. Two great restaurants. It is a rarity anywhere, and better than the Queen Anne in San Francisco. Really high class, and because it is in Tonopah, it is perfect.

AWESOME HOTEL AND CAFE! We didn't have any expectations, just needed a place to stay and we were so happy we chose the MIZPAH! Everyone was extremely nice and pleasant, the room was small but so beautiful and very comfortable! The Pittman Cafe had the best food of our entire 10 day trip and we thoroughly enjoyed the ghost stories. We will go to the Mizpah on purpose next time! Kristie and Chuck Doyel.

The food was excellent. The menu had interesting offerings. I definitely recommend it. The cafe is part of a very nicely restored hotel. I think it's a must visit.

The rooms are tiny. The maid didn't clean my room. It's is the most expensive hotel in Tonopah (out of the 4 I have stayed at). The bathroom fixtures had corrosion on the brass. There is no desk or work table in the rooms. There are no refrigerators nor microwaves in the rooms (which can be a good thing if you don't like the noise of a refrigerator). The Wi-Fi only allows one device to connect, so I had to choose between my laptop, personal phone, and work phone. Parking is inconvenient. The restaurant is expensive and the service is slow. One day it took me 15 minutes to be seated for breakfast, and in that time they stopped serving breakfast. The second time I went to their restaurant for breakfast, it took 45 minutes for my food to arrive even though there were hardly any other diners there. And then the eggs and toast were both undercooked.

This is a fine place to stay, a well done restoration, and it seems to be well run. Our room, 302, was comfortable and really beautiful. There was a hot water problem that they need to fix. And the claw foot tub's shower curtain doesn't work well at all. But those are quibbles. We really enjoyed it. The dining room was in use for a private function so we had dinner in the rather dull coffee shop. The food was pretty good, not great. Breakfast in the same place was standard, but good. I'd like to say that the guy who rated the entire hotel 3 stars due to an unfortunate Philly cheese steak seems unreasonable to me.

Went there with friends for dinner while staying in town. It's great to see this iconic hotel refurbished, it's too bad they don't know how to make a good meal. I ordered a Philly Cheese Steak. Now I don't expect it's going to compete with anything from Philly, but this was the worst Philly Cheese Steak ever! It arrived in a reasonable amount of time, but instead of being made with Provolone or Swiss cheese, it was drowned with Velveeta. Seriously? The Velveeta was so overbearing that you couldn't even tell there was meat, or anything else for that matter in the sandwich. The other people in my party enjoyed their meals, so perhaps only this oddball Cheese Steak sandwich is a deal breaker, but I would highly recommend avoiding it at all cost.
