I have stayed at this Motel 6 quite a few times over the last 10-15 years and have noticed a general decline in the condition. I will not stay here again. Why? 1 — I rented 2 rooms, one for myself and wife, and one for my son and his wife. I have stayed at 3 other Motel 6's in the last 45 days, rented multiple rooms, and they gave me the Senior Rate for all the rooms because I reserved and paid for them. Not in Reno because "they are a corporate Motel 6". Not a real big deal other than it sends a negative message about the corporation. 2 — My son's room reeked of pot. There did not seem to be any effort made to air it out. 3 — An indigent person slept near the rear of the parking lot and there was no effort to have him moved. My daughter, who also stayed at this motel, would not go out to her car out of personal concern. 4 — The room was dirty, the bedspreads stained, and a fellow traveler complained about black hair on the sheets of his 2nd room. There was a candy wrapper on my floor when we arrived. How much else was "missed" in the cleaning. 5 — The light above the mirror in my son's room did not work and when he told the desk clerk the response was it would get fixed later. 6 — The electrical outlets in my room were worn out and the only way I could get my plug to stay in was to wedge the nightstand against it. I needed the outlet for my c-pap machine. I am very disappointed in this motel.

We arrived at 5 pm for a reservation booked over 1 month before, for 2 bed pet room, non smoking ground floor if possible, and had been confirmed by email for a certain price. Upon arrival we were told the room was not ready (5 pm) and the cost was about $8 US different from our confirmation. After having to argue with cost, where we showed email confirmation of rate, we were told the room would be ready by 8 pm. When we returned at 8 pm we were told the room was not available due to a water problem, but could we accept a single bed room? After explaining that due to a shoulder injury we could not share a bed, we were given a room that management said we must make our own beds. The beds were fine, and the accommodations were acceptable, but during the dispute the clerk at the desk suggested we find accommodations elsewhere. The next morning, I felt the language was uncalled for and the clerk apologized. I pointed out that that for over 15 years we had stayed at the motel and only in the past 3 years had problems. The manager gave me a gift certificate for a stay but I feel that some help at the booking in process would be a better solution.

I would never come back to this motel 6. Their was always a shortage of towels I was awakened by drug addicts and homeless individuals either walking back and forth as well as voices outside of our door. There was also prostitutes going in and out of rooms. I cleaned my own room daily, due to housekeeping did come the second day into our room to clean but never changed the sheets. My pillow case had the same mascara on it from the night before. Not to mention that the supervisor of housekeeping whose name is JENNY was very rude and disrespectful regarding towels. I went to the laundry room daily to get clean towels and if she was in there she would act as if she was mad because I asked for towels. Not to mention the towels should be changed out daily. Anyways I didn't see a housekeeper staff insight therefore I proceed to get 2 towels off of a cart that was sitting there she JENNY was coming down the stairs and started yelling and screaming at me for going on the cart to get 2 towels. I explained to her that I have no problem with not going one the cart however her presentation and tone of voice was out of order towards me. She continued screaming at me and telling me I better not go back on the cart. She verbalized also that there are a shortage of towels. I stated to her that is not my fault and that I needed 2 dry towels. My husband and I went to walmarts and bought our own towels. We were there for 9 days regarding relocation and finalizing documents.

We booked this months ago and asked for non smoking room. When we checked in we got a smoking room. Everything smelled like smoke. Pillows and all. Called the front desk and female said nothing they can do. We are booked and the third party we booked through didn't note down non smoking. She said I have febreeze but you need to come pick it up. I'm too busy and can't leave the front desk. I didn't sleep the entire weekend. We will never stay here ever again. We came for a softball tournament and we told all the teams not to stay there next year. You get what you pay for. I'd pay more to get sleep. Never again. Horrible rooms and service. Our room was old too. Broken door handle and latch and broken furniture inside the room. Tiny towels and just all bad. Bugs in the beds. Got bit. Ugh. No more!

I have stayed in my fair share of motel 6 hotels because they are any of them and the price is right. This has been the worst one this far. When I walked in my room the beds didn't have the top comforter on and the blankets on top of the sheets on both beds had cigarette burns in them. We didn't have any towels in the room so I called the front desk and they said they would have someone bring some. After waiting a hour I had to leave thinking that they would have put them in the room. When I returned at 10 in the evening still no towels or cover. Called the front desk they brought towels but no top cover. I was tired so I just turned the heat all the way up thinking that would help woke up a few hours later more colder than I was before the dang heater doesn't work. Unfortunately all the motels are sold out for the weekend. If I ever come back to Reno I will not be staying at this motel 6. Oh and to make things even worse if you don't close the door right it will open right back up. Worst motel stay ever.

I've stayed at this motel multiple times and it's perfect for what it is. Inexpensive, clean, safe, convenient to events and casinos and pretty quiet. Parking is a little tight when they're full. I think every room I've had has had a small fridge and microwave which is always a necessity for me. The beds aren't terrible but not the most comfortable but not worse than most motels.

Stayed here twice, got a newly refurbished room every time. Check-in was flawless and quick, parking plentiful and the area is safe. Design, features and theme of each room was amazing for the low price. Location of the motel is ideal for trips to Sparks, Reno, the Tesla Gigafactory, Lake Tahoe and surrounding area. There are many supermarkets / grocers nearby. Staff is helpful and nice.

The customer service was great! That's it! everything else was bad. Room smelled like smoke (Very strong), I had asked for non-smoker room. We were asked to wait 1 hour meanwhile they cleansed the room. 30 minutes into it we were told there was another room. Non-smoker. New room smelled like smoke (mildly). All other hotels were booked nearby so we had no other choice but to stay the night.

I stayed 10 days and only because the plumbing in my apt must be repaired, unable to use water anywhere in the home, and I wanted to stay close to keep an eye on things. I went in office to extend my stay another week and told not able as someone reported I was using drugs. First of all I do not use drugs not do I drink. Second. The parking lot permeates with the smell of pot. Third, no one even wanted to even talk to me about it. So I left, extremely offended. I would never stay here again, nor will I ever recommend. I was insulted, offended, and hurt. The price of the room was the best experience only.

Driving up, there were several homeless people with countless trash bags of belongings loitering at the back driveway we turned into. We were staying overnight, on the way to our new house with valuable belongings in our car. I questioned the front desk clerk about the safety of our car while we are sleeping? He said those people had just been kicked out, and he needed to call the police. On entering the room, it looked and smelled clean. UNTIL we looked at the bed! The blanket (no bedspread) had stains on it. One of the pillows didn't have a pillow case on it and had yellow stains on it. The other pillow had yellow stains on it, a brown BLOOD stain and a BLACK HAIR. Pulling back the covers, the sheets were full of HAIR! Then we pulled the blanket all the way down and found an oily gross stain where your feet would be. My husband went down and told the desk clerk and they brought up another set of sheets and a blanket. Those were worse! full of hair. I walked the pillow case down to the front desk, showed the clerk and he said, "Oh… looks like they aren't cleaning out the lint traps. " He said he would see if he could "scrounge" up something better for me. He was nice about it. I said, "Could you sleep on these? and he said no! " What was brought up smelled clean, like bleach. Looked old, but didn't have hair. So we put them on the bed and went to sleep. REALLY gross experience. Doubtful we'll ever stay at a Motel 6 again.

Fairly convenient location off the freeway. Reasonable rates. It's not a high class place for sure, the room I had was clean, well maintained and had clean fresh linens. The downside is as a taller fellow the beds are a touch short. The walls seem kinda thin so the noise of the other guests made it difficult to sleep. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. So while not a high class place it is a decent budget place.

I’ve been staying off and on at this location for the past month while I look for a place in sparks as I’ve relocated. It has been trying at times, there is no question. With that being said, I wanted to say there is one employee there who has been exceptional without a doubt. Absolutely fantastic. Charity. She has gone above and beyond to accommodate me, and my small dog. I’ve watched her multi-task at the front desk when it seemed like to me utter chaos, she handled every situation with ease and in a timely fashion. And any issue I’ve had has been INVESTIGATED PROPERLY with spot on results. This is absolutely appreciated and needs acknowledgement. Also, a thank you to some of the staff as well, including Amber, Crystal, Dawn, and Jenny. You gals rock, keep on rockin. When things looked bleak at times, every single one of you have stepped up to the plate and helped my little guy out. I cannot thank you enough!

We always stay at this motel en route from Utah to Oregon. It is convenient to Rte. 395 and easily accessible. We travel with a dog, who is always welcome at no additional fee. Accommodations are quite good. The only thing I would recommend is that there should be tissues in the room. All else is fine.

It was ok they said our room was non-smoking but when we got in it there were ashtrays in it and there were cigarette Burns in the sheets and the pillow cases and it was really gross so we had them switch rooms. Our second room was just fine it was clean didn't smell like smoke there were no Burns in the sheets. And I figure okay even if you're a smoker you don't want to sleep on a pillow case that has a cigarette hole burn it throw it away and put a fresh one on. But the girl helping at the front desk was very sweet and accommodating.

TV and outlet not working. Dirty. Heater & AC not working (had to keep door open at one point). EXTREMELY rude front desk and security. Will never come here again, paid for a room and walked in, sat on bed, and no longer wanted to stay. Initially the front office and security were extremely nice, but upon checking out their attitudes were nasty and would not look me in the eye. I ended up asking for a refund since I basically walked in and out and they both said no, but thanks for coming. Very guest unfriendly. Could have At least explained or pointed me in the right direction and upon reading policies and other reviews other people have gotten refunds for situations less than mine… so upset! They could have At least been nice and understanding about the situation and explained it was nonrefundable. Horrible experience plus they were talking about how unsanitary their beds were upon entering (blood and stains on sheets and bed). Yuck. Best advice is stick to one on Wells or try Circus Circus, better customer appreciation.

Staff was great. The room was very nice and clean. The only problem is their lack of security cameras on the property. My car was broken into and 50 dollars worth of items were stolen. Police were unable to do anything because of no cameras.

Nice big room. Laundry facilities. Fairly easy part of town to navigate right off the interstate. No breakfast but good coffee. Bathroom could have been cleaner. A lot of hair that didn't belong to my group. Even on my pillow.

Sparks nv. Motel 6 is awesome! The staff is friendly the rooms are very well kept very clean as well! I mostly enjoyed how clean the grounds were kept maintiance staff and housekeeping picking up trash all day thru… I will recommend my friends to stay here when they travel… thank you motel 6 in sparks you all were awesome! When we arrived, there wasn't a room available. The laundry had gone down and everything was backed up. I waited and a room opened, they brought a micro/fridge to the room. Of course there weren't any bathmats or towels. The door to the outside wouldn't stay shut. The latch needs to be replaced. You can walk in and out with no key card. The room wasn't clean and the smoke from the sheets or outside smokers was in the room. Very unhappy this trip,.

The cleaning is not very good starting with the sheets and with the service of pets that offer has a smell dog and the horse you look to hairs. It is not recommended to perzonas that are alerjicas to the dogs.

This was the worst Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. Had I not been exhausted, I would've packed up and left. But I couldn't safely drive any further, and it was too cold to sleep in our car. Thank goodness the floor didn't have any carpet, I can't imagine what would've been in there if there had been. The floor was dirty and dust bunnies around the edges of the walls. It was dry blood splattered on the bathroom door. The bathroom walls look like they had dried puke in places on the wall and back behind the toilet. Thank goodness I didn't find any sign of bedbugs on the beds, but I would not have been surprised if I had. The card key didn't work in the room, and then a security guard came up and got us in. There were no towels in the room either. The very nice security guard again came up and brought us towels. I laid the towels on the bed and put my kids to sleep. I would've been more comfortable camping in the woods. We were also charged almost $10 more than the quoted price I got on the phone. I have stayed at Motel 6 all over the US, and I have to say this is the very worst one I've ever stayed at. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

The staff a the Motel 6 Reno Airport Sparks, NV is just super! They are very compassionate and take pride in making people feel at home and cared about. Rooms are well kept and very clean.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Room and bath area were clean and everything worked well. Furniture was "spartan", but adequate. Bed appeared clean and mattress was comfortable.

I found hairs and dirt on the sheets and pillows in two different rooms. I looked under the sheets after I first found the hairs and the terry cloth pad underneath looked worse than my dogs bed on it’s worse day. I finally accepted the third room and spent most of the night feeling itchy all over after seeing such filth in the other two rooms. Next time in reno area I would rather sleep in my car if no other motel is available. I spent the previous night in Boise motel 6 and it was perfectly clean.

Staff showed no knowledge of area. Not aware of any place to have dinner. Felt unimportant if I was there or not. The street was under construction! A huge sign saying $49.99 was out front, yet I was charged $92.00. Internet even though I paid for it did not work and funds were refunded, but that was disappointing! Just not a great stay. I suggest going down the road to Reno west. I later stayed there and had a great experience!

Very nice, daughter was thrilled with the HUGE bathroom. Beds soft and clean, had that light bleach smell that lets you know housekeeping is doing their job. Only sad part is not a lot of parking for trailers. Office staff helped us out so it worked out alright.

There was no wash cloth, and two towels; and the front desk person seemed very tired, but pleasant as best she could be. She advised me that there were no wash cloths available. Seemed to be a busy location. I am not impressed with the trend to cut down on amenities like shampoo, microwave, Internet, and fridge. Room was clean. At the Reno location the Internet was a rip off in my opinion: I paid for premium and found there were restrictions to certain websites (Merkel or something). I called customer service and that in and of itself is an inconvenience when one is traveling. Customer service was seemingly unconcerned with my problems. I felt I wasted five dollars on the Internet (which would be better as an included amenity), as I could not surf the net freely after paying a premium price. I am not impressed with Motel 6 cutting corners and passing on the cost of Internet to guests for Internet; and no microwaves or refrigerators… so I am not likely to seek out a Motel 6 again, and am glad I had the experience to know what I am getting into should I choose one in the future. But at this point, Motel 6 would not be my first choice unless I were in a pinch. At least the rooms are clean.

If I could do zero stars I would! At check In the young lady was very busy and was very unfriendly. We got into our room and there was HAIR EVERYWHERE! Short hair along the corners in the bathroom (looked like pet hair). The pillows and sheets had long black hair (human hair) all over. It was so disgusting that we slept over the bed sheets and took the pillow cases off! I would have left if the area wasn't all completely booked! DO NOT STAY HERE.

Monique was fantastically kind about everything (what a difference that makes at the front desk). I was so happy to have a real tub with a stopper. Great counter space in the bedroom and around the sink. Everything so clean! I was very happy with Room 147, lower level. It was inconvenient not being able to park close to the room, but I found a place close. I really missed a fridge with a freezer, as I eat out of my cooler on these trips and need a place to keep the ice frozen. That's the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5! Could have used an extra blanket, but I used the heater, so I was comfy. I'll be back…

When we reserved our room (online) we requested non-smoking and ground floor as my husband is handicapped. The front desk indicated that this information does not always get forwarded to the motel, and they had no ground floor rooms available — — we arrived fairly early in the afternoon. The person who waited on us said he had a room on the ground floor that "used to be a smoking room" but he said it had been treated with ozone and we wouldn't smell anything at all. I had never heard of that, but he assured me that we would be satisfied. The room smelled of stale smoke and was very noticable to us. I saw the young man outside while we were unloading our card and mentioned it to him. He said he would be back within 10-15 minutes to use a spray that would alleviate the odor. We never saw him again. I wish I had his name. I do know he was tall and slender and he has three daughters, which he told us about. We were tired from diving 10 hours so we chose not to try to find another room elsewhere and just put up with the room for the night. We were planning to stay there again 3-4 days later when we drove back to our home, but we cancelled that reservation. We will not stay there again.

As far as the facilities and amenities they are perfectly fine, why the dislike, this place has too many shady people being allowed to stay, guys that look like they are right out of prison with tattoos on their neck an faces. Defently hookers walking around occasionally, and another review pointed out these people stay awake all night being loud cussing, this place could have been very much more highly rated but it is who they are doing business with and the lack of a good management to deal with these issues.

This motel 6 located in Victorian Ave in SparksSparks. Are much more nice now that they remodel the whole building flat TV also new beds price when up but I think its worth it.

Had to wait till 4:30 for an available room. When we got into the room, the toilet wouldn't flush. Found out the valve had been turned off because the toilet leaked and constantly refilled it's self. Called the front desk asking for another room. I was told another room would not be available for 40 minutes. Got a refund and found another motel.

Don't like the laminate flooring in the rooms. You can hear everything that goes on in the room above you. We experienced people who were up the entire night moving around & we got no sleep at all.

The remolded rooms look great havent had any problems here besides I have to slam my door really hard just to lock it it wont latch if I dont slam the door really hard. The maids are doing there best. People just find reasons to complain so they have a free room. If your looking for things you will find it I come in my room I dont care what's going on outside I dont listen waiting to hear people.

I absolutely would not recommend the Motel 6 in Sparks, NV. The lady at the front desk was a beast, the nonsmoking room smelled like smoke, the TV only worked on one channel, the shower in the room next to us was even louder than when we had our shower on… Don't bother staying here unless you really are out of options.

The motel was clean and neat. It is priced right. The receptionist, Char, was extremely friendly and helpful.

This location has very friendly and welcoming staff. They do not tolerate noisy guests that will disrupt the stay for other guests. They are truly dog friendly and welcome dogs of ALL sizes — including one of our Great Danes who is a 150# puppy. The rooms, though a little outdated to my taste, are very clean, well kept and comfortable. The A/C and heating work wonderfully, the property is very clean. The location is easy to get to and the staff are very helpful for telling you of local places to go, stores, restaurants, etc.

The staff were excellent, the TV worked good, Refrig and Microwave worked good. The pool is Tiny and Freezing cold! It was a safe feeling place with no homeless hanging around. A good place to stay for the price.

We were upgraded without our knowledge, but the bed was horrible, blankets needed to be replaced, the keys needed to be re-keyed everyday.

The motel is safe and quiet, the rooms and area are kept clean. The staff is friendly and do what they can to give you a great stay. We ended up in a smoking room and we do not smoke, so the smell was a little harsh, but that is what you get when the only room available is smoking. The bed was the only real BIG negative. It was an extremely uncomfortable mattress with flat sunken in spots. I could only sleep on one side of it otherwise you would roll off onto the floor. I think the mattress is the original mattress from when the motel was new. Or at least it felt that way. Thankfully we only spent one night because I could not have spent 2 nights on that bed,

Having made reservations by phone, it was an easy check-in process. Our request for a ground-floor room had not been made originally, but the clerk was able to accommodate the request uickly. While the motel is near the freeway, the noise was not objectionable.

The room was ok, nothing fancy. It was clean but not spotless. Our only major complaint was you could feel the springs in the mattress. So the bed was not comfortable. The person at the desk was very helpful and friendly.

Mice and roaches and bed bugs. Worst hotel ive ever stayed at. Because of this place I will never stay at motel 6 again. After I called corporate in texas I was banned from staying there worse company ever.

This Motel 6 location was very clean, the staff was very polite and the parking lot was well lit. I definitely will make this my stop between S. F. And slc. I have been in a few Motel 6 locations that were scary. This one felt very safe and clean.

Don't normally complain on motels because I understand you get what you pay for, but I absolutely can't stand bed bugs! I found these huge bed bugs in the bed and when you popped em blood went all over the mattress.

I'm a retired OTR truck driver and have stayed in just about every Motel 6 in the country I could park a big truck by. I exclusively stay in Motel 6's because they're clean, comfy, and the staff is unsurpassable. The Victorian street facility is one of the best because the hotel is staffed with angels. My chihuahua recognises the Motel 6 sign and whines whenever we pass one. His favorite is the one in Commerce City, Colorado. They have doggie treats on the counter. Motel 6 welcomes his furry little rump more than they welcome me, sometimes. I will always do business with this company.

I visit Reno every other month and always stay at this hotel. The Hotel is pet friendly (I travel with two dogs) The price is affordable and the rooms are always clean and fresh smelling.

Clean rooms, no unpleasant odor. Being driven all the way from Virginia to Reno for business purpose, staying in many different Motel 6 for saving pennies, I am quite happy with the quality and pricings so far. This particular location is interesting to me because of the little green lawn areas with real green grass surrounding the corners during winter months in middle of Reno's area, they must take care of them dearly, because I am from Virginia, the lawn with green grass is a big thing in my neighborhood year round, it's a pleasure to see green grass again after a long drive related to home. One minor issue with my room is the loud noises from air conditioning unit comparing to previous motel 6 I've stayed last 5 nights. I had to wear ear plugs to sleep as I couldn't bear loud noises. The staff is very nice and helpful, I'll definitely come back again (with my ear plugs as I always carry them like flying on airlines to fight jets' noises) next time if I have a chance to visit Reno again as I don't like to stay in Casinos Hotels by walking through their main floors because their cigarettes' smokes are irritated and make my clothes smelling unpleasant on top of annoying slots machines sounds agitating my eardrums horribly.
