Wonderful stay at Gold Dust! Loved the bowling alley and business center & clean restrooms for our 2 month RV park stay. We even had an issue come up with the lawn people breaking our car’s side view mirror while weed-eating, and the parks insurance covered it no problem! No drama and peaceful place to stay. Loved the cows out back behind our spot and beautiful views of the mountains! And Carson City is so dreamy! One of our favorite places we’ve been. Thanks again.

Always love the rooms in the hotel part they are well kept, clean, the bathroom is so amazing. Plus its connected to the casino so ya can play a bit and have two good restaurants. And a bowling alley if ya plan on staying a few days very nice place to get away for the price.

We had to wait 30 min and I saw several empty tables set up with no patrons butts in them. Food was good after all. Our server was great tending each of our needs before we could ask. So overall 4 stars is what give them.

I've only been here to gamble and it's okay. There isn't that huge of a selection of machines to play but it's good enough to not make me leave. The food at both of the restaurants in the casino are amazing. The bowling alley is the coolest part. My biggest let down there was poor service for drinks while I was gambling. I sat there and gambled for 45 min before anyone even came to take my drink order and then I never even got the drink. I was there actively gambling for 2 1/2 hrs and never got a drink, and not from lack of wanting one.

Used their RV lot to spend the night. After 9 hours on the road I thought this would be a good break. Turned out that it was, but just for a pit stop if you require hookups. The spots are really small and packed in tightly next to each other. Parking for your tow vehicle or dinghy is possible next to your rig, but you'll be doing so either on your 2 ft strip of paint on the asphalt marking your "yard" or sticking out into the drive. Worst case you can park outside of the RV Park in the adjacent main casino parking area. The RV Park is at the far corner of the hotel parking lot, yet check-in is at the main hotel entrance. Signs are not obvious in terms of checking in — — your best option is to actually pull up where hotel guests check in vs heading to where you'd assume RV check in would be.

Gold Dust was pretty cool for an impromptu room for the night. Unfortunately we couldn't get a smoking-friendly room — but what else can you expect at 2 AM on a Saturday. The hotel concierge was super helpful by switching us to a room close enough to the casino floor so that being able to smoke wasn't disruptive or a hassle in the early morning hours. Overall a good night in magnificent Carson City, Nevada.

Only reason they are getting a 2 instead of a 1 is the cleanliness and friendliness of the bowling lanes. The smoke odor is terrible. As you walk through the front door it hits you in a plume. Although a smoke smell is to be expected in the casino area, the odor extends through the hallways and even into the no smoking rooms themselves (which are the closest rooms to the casino for some illogical reason). As an exsmoker myself, I've never experienced an odor this strong. We had to turn on the AC, open the window, keep on the bathroom fan, and put a towel under the door to make it bearable. Will never stay here again. Would have left but the $ was nonrefundable.

I am not huge on hotel stays but this place was very nice. Their food was delicious and well-prepared in the Casino part of it. Only reason I docked them to 4 stars was because someone was smoking in the non-smoking part of the Hotel! Otherwise, beautiful accommodations and lovely staff!

We made a a quick stop at the RV park on our way home. The sites were closely placed but the lot was small so didn't seem crowded. The facilities clean and well maintained. Especially nice was the front office reception which was very helpful and friendly… enjoyed our short stay.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights. We enjoyed our stay and would return if we were ever in the area. The trees are in the way of your awning, but it was so windy we couldn't put it out anyway. The breakfast special and the prime rib dinner are really good. We stayed in a 35ft 5th wheel. Had to park our truck outside in the parking lot, but it was not a problem.

I always get the prime rib. Good cuts, well seasoned. One of the best parts is soup/salad and dessert are included. Often these are extra charges at other restaurants. The only downside is having to walk through a smoke filled casino to access the restaurant.

I mainly go here for bowling, I'm a local so I can't vouch for the rooms here. They generally have good food in one of their diners. Price is okay, unfortunately their bowling alley doesn't allow outside food.

Fine clean rooms, ample parking space. Many things to do. Pleasant front desk staff. Staff at restaurant, nor great. Looks like they did not want to be there but are forced to.

The Grille. We go for one certain waitress who take the time to be more than just an order taker. She always smiles and is pleasant. The food tastes great when you eat it, however issues follow on most visits.

I have lived here for over 10 years and I got to tell you the gold dust is my favorite casino in Carson city last month I hit 2 jackpots and had the prime rib for dinner best in town.

I met a friend for dinner at OleOle the Mexican restaurant. Being our first time our expectations were what others had told us. They were right! The food was yummy!

BEST PLACE in Reno Nevada to eat… Campo's. The chef was amazing — very professional & the food was awesome. I suggest the duck. We had a group of about 10, and the chef came out set down take a picture with us. John our server joined the group by wearing one of our cowboy hats. Great party atmosphere or you could eat in a quite corner for something more romantic.

This casino is in good condition and has a variety of different games to choose from. I have spent plenty of time gambling at all the casinos in carson city and I gotta say that I really hardly ever win anything here. Especially compared to everywhere else in town. It sucks you dry and hardly gives you any points for the money you spend. Also it takes a lot of points before for can use them as free play. They have an arcade for children in the bowling center. Now the bowling center is nice and is one of the two in this town. They have a couple restaurants here which serve good food for a fair price. They also have rooms you can stay in which are nice and if you are a part of the players club and gambke much. You can get free rooms which is cool. Although you do have to cover the deposit. Which you get back.

They treated me fairly but of course with it being a casino they definitely ate all my money. They know what they are doing I've got to give them that. Only one waitress came to ask me if I wanted a drink out of the five hours I was there and I don't think that was very good service on their part. Overall it was ok.

Clean and excellent service. We have eaten there several times and have always found the food excellent and the service wonderful. The crew is always kind and wanting to make sure you get just what you want. We have eaten there many times when all the tables were full and yet they always make you feel like you're the only one they're waiting on. Rating it 9.5 out of 10. Steve.

Very nice casino. Great restaurant. Especially the $7.95 Shrimp dinner, LARGE, CRISPY SHRIMP, and Fries. They have a great selection!

Friendly staff at this little casino/hotel. This was our first visit. The rooms are ok. We had dinner at Ole Ole. The food was mediocre, but the service was great. Rhonda was our server and she was fab! We received a free breakfast at The Grille with our room. My only real complaint has to do with the room. We booked a Jr. Suite with a Jacuzzi tub. The tub is not really set up for two people, and the jets are not like a real spa. My husband enjoyed relaxing in it and it filled super quick with the massive water flow, that was great! The shower on the other hand was awful! The rain-type showerhead didn't seem to be adjustable, and it felt like a bunch of sharp needles were trying to rip my skin off. Terrible shower. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean.

We were in a hurry and EVERYONE there accommodated us so we were able to eat a delicious dinner and make it to our event. Service was amazing! Oh, and FREE PIE!

Perfect for the whole family. Oldest to the youngest! And the food is GREAT! My favorite is the brisket sandwich.

Few casinos offer full RV service as Gold Dust West, even though check in is in the casino versus at park as it once was. Restaurant is open 24 hours. Rest rooms could use better care cleanliness if serviced 3 times a day. Still a good value.

Excellent hotel and customer service. Planned a Family reunion that they helped out with. The check in was smooth, hotel rooms were clean and ready ahead of time. The restaurants were great. They beat everyone in town on price and had exceptional customer service. Highly recommend.

Great rooms. Very clean. Lots of room. Beds where comfortable. The best thing that I liked was the large walk in showers. They give you breakfast tickets that you exchange at one of there restaurants for a real breakfast you order and not some cold cereal and fruit like most places do. There are a lot more amenities. Staff was also friendly.

Great place to visit. Good food options. Has bowling, arcade, gaming tables and slot machines. Very nice sportsbook available also. Good place for families or to hang out with friends. Great drink prices.

Nice room on first floor. But noisy being by the pool with night time party goers. All of the staff were terrific including both restaurant's. The entire property was very clean and well maintained.

The mini suite we had for three nights was wonderful. It has a nice size bathroom with a large walk-in shower and one person jacuzzi. The suite as a sitting area as well as a sleeping area, each with its own TV. I am looking forward to my next stay.

I was impressed with this hotel. I would stay here again. The room we stayed in is nice. It had a 40' flat screen tv, and a mini fridge. I also liked that they had hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the bathroom and the best part about them is that they were not the small samples that most hotels put out but big bottles. They were mounted, of course, so no one would steal them but it's nice they had it available in case I forgot to bring any. There's two restaurants on site but I wouldn't recommend Olé Olé. The casino is a descent size. There's only four tables though and most of the time just one or two open at a time which was poker and 21. I only saw the Craps table opened once. I believe the location of the hotel is great. It's right next to highway 50. You're only 30 minutes away from Reno and maybe 45 minutes from South Lake Tahoe and there's many amenities near by.

The room was very nice and comfortable for a quick trip. I wish we had spent more time there to explore the fun amenities like the bowling alley. We got the free breakfast and it was really great. All around an awesome stay.

The Gold Dust West is my first choice when in Carson City and I feel like bowling. Complete with pro shop arcade and snack at with the best wings any bowling alley ever seen. Not only hands down do they have the best lanes in town but they also have the best rewards program I've ever had the pleasure of being a member​ of, from free play, free prime rib, and even reserved parking for Platinum members. Comps for rooms are very easily atainable with only a $50 dollar deposit necessary witch I received back the very next day. Sports book for parlay during football season a long time favorite blackjack, craps, video poker, slots, and keno. The grill all night classic cafe diner and ole ole for classic Mexican food. Gold dust West a one stop shop for your Casino needs centrally located Hwy 50 East Carson City lots of parking even bring your RV great fun for the whole family.

Went for birthday at the arcade fun. Enjoyed adult time acting like kids! Clean and friendly staff.

My family had the pleasure of staying at this hotel/casino in April 2016. Although our visit to Carson City was under saddening circumstances of the sudden death of my beloved brother, who lived in Carson City, Nevada. The staff treated the whole family with great kindness and understanding especially in watching out for my brother's daughter while she was dealing with the lose of her father. The entire staff when above and beyond in caring for our family in our time of greif. Thank you, The Burke Family.

They have a great guest rewards program but the staff at the fables are very rude. The lady at the blackjack table kept trying to tell my boyfriend and I how to bet and how to play while being saddy, angry, and downright rude. Because of that it will be a long time until we go back.

I liked this hotel. The only thing was the small tv. Great price.

Took my son bowling for his 4th birthday and he had an absolute blast. We also spent some time in the arcade playing tons of games. It was a lot of fun for the both of us!

The Gold Dust is in my opinion Carson City's finest casino / resort and no other establishment in town is even come close to being on the same level. Centrally located & basically directly next to the freeway entrances, the Gold Dust not only offers a huge gaming environment, but it also sports several eateries and also family oriented activities. The best part for my family is that you can bowl.

The locations is not the safest but it is safer then other places. The rooms are okay. And the service is pretty good but can be improved.

Fantastic atmosphere, great staff, food and drinks are great. I continue to come back when I can.

This hotel has a lot to do, the wonderful restaurants are tasty, a nice pool, and a bowling alley that's full service. I had such a blast here.

Best Fajitas in town! I order beef fajitas and pay 3 bucks more for extra beef and share with a friend! Corn or flour tortillas, spanish rice and beans as well as chips and pico de gallo, green chili salsa and spicy cabbage make for a crazy good meal. Eat in the restaurant area or at the Ole Ole bar and notice how friendly and knowledgeable the bartender Katherine is! Checking into the hotel took much longer than usual. I think the gal was new and trying to be thorough.

Nice room for an older, smaller casino. But the staff goes above and beyond to make sure that you a taken care of like you were a high roller.

Nice Rv park coffee shop. Pet friendly rates ok.

This is one of the worst places in Carson City. I have been here many times and the service is garbage. The food has come out under cooked from the grill many times. I have nothing good to say about this place. The people that work here are retarded, disrespectful, nobodies. Don't let the looks fool you. This place is about money, not service. Even the bowling center is managed by a retarded, disrespectful kid named Morgan. Who hires a bunch of retarded, direspectful kids. This is one of those places that is killing the heart of this country.

We stop to eat here at the Coffee Shop sometimes. Good deal on prime rib dinner, breakfast is ok and reasonably priced.

Hello we have been coming into stay with you one night every month and its something we really look forward to its always such a pleasure. The rooms are always clean and tidy and service has always been pleasent. The pool is a hudge plus, Thanks Gold Dust West for your hospitality.

GDW has been a favorite since I moved to Carson City 3 years ago. Really great hotel front desk staff. If you're going to pull an all nighter this is the place to do it! GET A ROOM and now you don't have to drive home or to your hotel, since most Carson City casinos don't have an integrated hotel like GDW.

I stayed there for the 1st time last Tuesday night since I had an early doctor appt in Carson City Wednesday. Being a local, I checked reviews on all the hotel/motels in Carson City and Gold Dust West sounded the best. They sure did live up to their reviews! Beautiful room, comfy king size bed, tv, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, Wi-Fi (free) all up to date. They honored my special request to be close to casino and restaurants as I can't walk too far. Very friendly staff. Machines were great (kept me up way past I should have been awake). Service is wonderful. If you ever need a place to stay in Carson City, this is the place. Also, the rates are great! Others in town are cheaper but you get what you pay for.
