The epitome of southern hospitality, the staff here had us laughing and smiling within moments of stepping inside. This hotel features beautiful french decor in the lobby and a beautifully lit courtyard with a fire pit and lap pool. This is also a perfect location to stay during Mardi Gras, offering easy access to the French Quarter. Little touches include two sizes of luggage carts and three varieties of complimentary coffee. Extra points for attention to detail here.

Hands down the best hotel I've ever been to the people here are spectacular and I've stayed in alot of hotels over my life between travel and work will definitely return.

A perfect hotel in a convenient and comfortable location. This Hampton Inn was close driving distance to main locations and attractions in New Orleans. It was cozy and quiet in a pretty neighborhood. Walking distance to some coffee shops, bars, and Fresh Market. Really nice shower. Room includes mini fridge and microwave. Super attentive staff. Free breakfast, free on-site parking, and pool. No gym but they grant you access to a gym next door. I’d make this my go-to hotel for future New Orleans stays. You’re far away from Bourbon street vomit and close enough to all the unique attractions New Orleans has to offer.

Very clean hotel except for a plumbing issue on our floor which led to us being moved to another room — but outside that the rooms were clean and comfortable, parking was safe and staff was extremely courteous. Recommended.

I liked how the parking area required a remote to get in and out. The staff was great. Rooms were nice and clean. Near a lot of restaurants and the trolley stops in front so you can get out and explore.

Lovely hotel! Excellent location!

First of all, this hotel is gorgeous. There’s a giant lobby that offers water as soon as you walk in (which is necessary in New Orleans! ) The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. I got in early and they were able to let me in a few hours early so I didn’t have to walk around with all my stuff. The breakfast offered fresh juice which was nice and the rooms were exceptionally clean. Its also in a quieter part of town that’s got some great restaurants that are walkable. Bonus of walking is getting to check out the unique architecture on the way! Will definitely stay again.

Ok yall here is a review on a hotel Best Western Plus its a pretty good hotel its was very clean free breakfast (nobody was watching you while you fixed your food) free parking the train pick up is directly in front of the hotel drops you off right on canal in front of bourbon) (takes about 20 minutes to get there and cost $3.25 for a 24 hour pass) the superior grill is attached to the hotel, other restaurants and stores are in walking distance the neighborhood is so peaceful white people walk allllll night! All night… Annnd I got the room at a very reasonable rate other hotels are on the route plus a very nice looking Hostel! So when you visit if you dont wanna lay your head where you party Try Best Western Plus St Charles Inn.

Great stay at this hotel. It’s located close to all the cool spots in NOLA and the patio and pool area are gorgeous. We got great sleep in one of the cleanest rooms we’ve stayed in and the interior design made the whole place feel like home. Great staff, great breakfast, all around a lovely stay.

Can't say enough about this hotel! First off the location is amazing. I love the garden district of New Orleans. The hotel is surrounded by amazing old homes and plenty of restaurants to keep you satisfied. It's also right on the St. Charles Street Car line, so it made getting around very easy. I also liked that the hotel had a dedicated parking lot that was gated off. Made me feel a lot safer. The check-in staff was great, even gave some recommendations on nearby things to check out. The room itself was FREAKING AWESOME! First off it was huge, and the king sized bed was super comfortable. The shower was also huge and the bathroom very sleek. They provided great amenities, including the best hotel shampoo I've ever used. Overall it was an amazing stay. I just wish it could have been for more than one night!

Had the pleasure of staying here the other night with a group of friends after a concert in town, and the staff was fantastic! I called earlier in the day to let them know that we would be arriving a bit late and they had our keys prepared and our rooms all checked in so that all I had to do was sign a few dotted lines and we were in the rooms within 5 minutes, which was great! The rooms were spacious and clean, with soft pillows that were not worn out, fluffy towels, and a s…uper comfy bed. The shower had fantastic water pressure (a huge thing for me) and the desk in the room was great for wrapping up some late night paperwork I had to handle. There was plenty of parking also so even though we arrived late it wasn’t remotely an issue to find a safe spot to leave our vehicle. Breakfast was great in the morning, hot fresh waffles are always the best! The breakfast area was bright and airy, with a great selection of hot and cold breakfast offerings (cereal, oatmeal, waffles, fruits, yogurt, and on and on) and the staff was very attentive so tables were clean and nothing got cluttered. All around a fantastic stay, definitely recommended!

What awesome hotel have stayed many places but this one tops them all in the friendly staff and atmosphere. Manger is very hands on and the staff treats you like family. I can not say enough good about this hotel. You need to stay here if you come to New Orleans.

What a treat of a hotel to stay at! Walking in at first glance I was surprised by how visually welcoming the lobby was. Our concierge was sweet and checked us in super quick. Our room was clean and extremely comfortable. Pull out bed was a plus. Overall, an awesome experience at this hotel. Stop here if you’re in NOLA.

I work here it's the best I've seen as a small hotel.

Fancy lobby with lots of complimentary things like coffee with creamers, chocolate and caramel sauce, and fruit and flavored water. The rooms are very nice as well, with clean linens and comfortable beds. The entire hotel has lovely seating, inside as well as a front patio right on St. Charles.

Fantastic hotel in a great location. Streetcar stop within a few steps. Clean rooms and great variety of food for breakfast. Good parking. Staff is very nice. We stay here every time we're in New Orleans if they have a room available.

Great location, great staff. If you are interested in seeing Uptown/Garden District and visiting Tulane University, while also having easy access to the French Quarter through the St. Charles streetcar, this is a very good option. Streetcar stops right in front of the Inn. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Last night we stayed at the Hampton Inn in the Garden District in New Orleans and I was greatly impressed! We had a very long drive there so the comfortable bed was much, MUCH needed. The staff was friendly and accommodating. My favorite thing about the Hampton Inn was its location. The streetcar was located right out front so it was just an easy ride to Bourbon and Canal street and several restaurants in walking distance. We also had equipment in our car so having a gated and secure parking lot was a huge plus. I also had some work to send out and unlike many hotels there Wi-Fi was lightning fast! I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend staying here the next time you’re in town!

Beautiful hotel located in the Garden District of NOLA! The hotel staff was so friendly, and they made sure our stay was comfortable and unsurpassed. The rooms were the perfect size for two people, and had bathrooms that were extra clean and roomy. The room had a king size bed, which was super comfortable. There was also a long pool available, with a really beautiful lounging/sitting area surrounding it. Definitely book a room at the Hampton Inn on St. Charles Ave if you want to stay near the heart of New Orleans!

This hotel is very convenient to all things New Orleans. Step right outside the front door and catch the streetcar to anywhere you want to go. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was great; coffee and snacks available all day long. Hotel staff was so friendly and made sure everything was perfect from recommendations where to eat or how to use the streetcar. We had a couple of issues with our room. When we brought them to the manager's attention they were immediately addressed above and beyond what we were expecting.

First, I have rarely experienced a hotel as clean as this Hampton Inn. Lobby and hotel room were spotless.
I called the day of to confirm my stay and the staff was very friendly.
Once I arrived I was able to quickly get in my room. Staff was great and informed me of the free cheese and crackers being offered.
The hotel room was clean and attractive. Bathroom had more than enough towels. Bed was inviting and comfortable. Plus, a sofa and desk gave me several options to relax.
Breakfast in the lobby was great and the ladies working on keeping items in stock were A+.
Parking was very easy in the reserved lot and I felt safe leaving my car there.
The location is the best. Located on beautiful St. Charles, you are just blocks from walking to restaurants. Plus, hop on the street car outside and go where you please.
Would stay here again and again.

The really AWESOME thing about this hotel is the staff and the service! They are all great, from housekeeping to the concierge. My family has stayed at this hotel many times, and it is consistently great service. Whether you need help with the streetcar or finding a restaurant in the area or need to check out a little late or whatever, they make it easy for you with no question or hesitation. We have stayed at Best Westerns in MS, RI, and TX, and I cannot say the same about those other locations. This place goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. They even baked cookies for my girls when there were none left! Building is old and rooms are small, but sufficient. Good location to use the streetcar. Nice that it has a parking lot in the back.

Great place to stay, it was very clean and had free private parking. The people at the front desk were super nice and the snacks and beverages were a nice touch. The breakfast was decent and they had a great free coffee bar. The location felt very safe and the trolley to the French quarter was right outside. I think it was probably a much better choice than staying in the quarter itself. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because they didn't clean our room or replace the used towels. However 1 call to the front desk and the towel issue was resolved. I will definitely come back.

Yet another perfect stay at this hotel. It's like a home away from home when I walk in and my phone automatically connects to the Wi-Fi. I park the car and never move it again since just $3 a day gets me on and off transportation everywhere I need to go on the streetcar that stops in front of the hotel. If you come back from a late night in the French Quarter and realize you have a bit of the munchies, you grab a complimentary snack from the lobby… juice, milk, soy milk, fruit, yogurt and more. They take *such* good care of us. And this time we brought the fuzzy 4 legged member of our family and it was fantastic. She was a nice excuse for a late night or early morning stroll up the Avenue. Breakfast on the patio is nice too.

Stayed for child’s graduation from college. Had 2 rooms onsite for family group. Rooms clean and staff responsive to issues with toilet in one room. Breakfast good. Parking lot available and convenient. Great team at front desk. Have stayed before and will stay again!

Hotel was in a great location! Two street car stops very close to hotel, several restaurants with in a few blocks, gated parking, didn't have to move car the whole time we were here. Room was large and comfortable. Two vanities, beds were comfortable and staff were exceptional. Also breakfast was the better than some of the ones you have to pay for in some hotels. Excellent. Only issue was that when we arrived we had no place to park to check in due to construction. No fault of hotel. But you can go to parking area behind hotel and have them let you into gated parking so you can then check in, which we wish we would have known before arriving. But we will definitely return again and stay here!

Can't say enough great things, staff was great, allowed our large dog, full breakfast buffet, cookies and infused water all day, free parking and convenient to street car. Now, it's an older hotel so it is a window style unit and kinda loud but we didn't care. We will stay here for now on! If looking for a budget friendly option off the french quarter I'd highly recommend.

Found this hotel by coincidence. Have had some not so good experiences with the chain in the past but was looking for reasonable rates and I think that's what Best Western used to mean to me many years ago. Pleasantly surprised how comfortable my stay was. It's a relatively small hotel but I like that. The guests and staff get to know each other quickly. Over all, a very quiet, safe and comfortable stay.

Good sized room, clean and comfortable. Nice furniture. Did not have a chance to try the breakfast. Parking is free and assigned on a first come first serve basis in a lot at the hotel location, but they can accommodate the overflow at a nearby parking garage, so it is still very convenient, since street parking is non-existent. Overall a good hotel at a nice quiet location not too far from the convention center and the French quarter.

Hotel was clean & well kept. Rooms comfortable. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely. Plumbing not so good. Toilet stopped up and tub drained slowly. Staff did act quickly. Overall, I was satisfied and would probably stay there again.

St Charles Inn reminds me of the hotels in Italy since it is smaller and more intimate than others. It has a wonderful breakfast bar with lots of choices. The parking lot is locked and we used the trolly since it is close. A great location. Easy check in and cordial staff.

During the freezing temps in New Orleans my daughter was forced out of her apartment due to no hot water. Needed to find a hotel close to Tulane at a reasonable price that would be safe for her since she would be alone. The staff at this Best Western were incredible and made her feel welcome and cared about. After her experience my husband and I will definitely stay at the BW when we go to visit. Due to work and leisure our family stays in hotels over 30 days a year so we are rather experienced in the hotel industry and to be as pleased as we were about this location is a RAVE review.

Great hotel at a great location. Reasonable price (especially during the week). Walking distance to many shops, bars and restaurants. Staff was amazing. Bed was comfortable. Room was roomy. Trolley ran right by the hotel and a stop was close by. Gated parking for your car (at no extra charge) and a nice place to walk your dog.

It was a very good stay. The staff were very nice and when we ran out of food in the breakfast, they would quickly refill it. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The parking is free. It is also very close to the St Charles Streetcar stops so transportation to attractions is very easy. It is right next to a very good grill. The superior. We often got back late and it always felt good to go to our room. There is also a fitness center. Overall, this is a very good place to stay in the garden district. Or in New Orleans for that matter. I would definitely recommend it.

Nice price. Free parking in a gated lot. Room 211 had painter's tape still around bathroom door after being painted that had not been removed and the wallpaper needed a good wipe-down, but all in all I would stay again for the value. Pet-friendly and breakfast did offer plenty of fresh fruit and oatmeal/yogurt toppings galore. Had a nice, quiet stay.

The warm and friendly staff are the greatest amenity here. But they have plenty of competition (much of it of their own making) from the clean spacious rooms (everything working) with well stocked baths, excellent and varied breakfast that's served for hours, being truly pet friendly, a faultless internet and all at a clean and well kept property. A fantastic location, seriously safe, gated and generous parking that couldn't be any more convenient. From there — with your easily found luggage cart — you roll past a nice gym and private conference room into the lobby where those kind and helpful staff keep popping up. Whether I should head up to the room or take a break first and enjoy that lovely terrace right on St. Charles was the first decision that I had to make. The decision to stay here again in future was a whole lot easier to make.

Very nice and cozy for a best western. Had the old school New Orleans feel to it. Comfortable beds. Nice complimentary breakfast (except the breakfast sandwiches in the fridge with no microwave or toaster oven to warm it). Nice lobby area with big windows looking out onto the tree-lined street and streetcar path. Friendly staff. Love that there are ceiling fans in the rooms. I sleep with one on every night so that made me feel right at home. Did wish there was a fan in the bathroom though, it get a little stuffy after showers. But there is an additional sink and full-length mirror in the room so it’s easy to get ready outside of the bathroom. Also that extra sink and mirror is a bonus for multiple girls getting ready in one room.

Staff super friendly … all of them… service superb and fast. Clean clean clean and very comfy beds and linens… no reason to leave the room if you don't want to! Breakfast and parking are just TERRIFIC perks… we will be staying here again and again.

This was among the best places I have ever stayed. All the staff were friendly and helpful, going out of their way to make suggestions for an enjoyable. The breakfast was unusually complete with hot items every day as well as having fare that varied slightly from day to day. That was important to me as I stayed seven days there. The facilities were clean and well maintained. The housekeeping staff allowed us to have full service, a simpler trash removal and towel service or no service at all. Not once did the housekeepers disturb us with a knock on the door. They seemed to pay attention and cleaned when we were out of the room. The location was away from French Quarter and Canal Street, but it was still convenient because it was on the St. Charles streetcar line, which was fun as well as convenient. The location was quiet, too. The periodic rumbling of the streetcar almost lulled me to sleep.

Cozy, AVENUE location with charm, but lacks adequate parking. I am handicapped and there is only 1 stall. Upon my check-in the stall and adjoining blue area was filled with motorcycles. None displayed handicap placards or plates. The stairs leading to upper floors are narrow and steep. The elevator barely accommodates the luggage cart. My room was clean and cozy, but was AVENUE view which could be noisy at times. The complimentary breakfast is nice and has many choices. The staff is courteous, knowledgeable and friendly, but check your bill closely. I was overcharged and had to call the Manager on Duty while enroute to airport. I was told my final bill would be adjusted. The French Quarter is a short drive or trolley car ride away.

The trolley runs every 15 minutes all day and night. Noisy nights for sure. Weird bugs fly in the bathroom window if you leave it open at night — no screens on the bathroom windows. Very muggy inside, the a/c units work but have a weird smell and still feels muggy. The elevator is very small, old, and rickety — a thrilling ride every time you use it. Better to take the stairs… police presence outside every night to deal with the drunks walking around at all hours of the night. The carpets had stains. Honestly it wasn't the best hotel but the price was right and the area was safer than most other areas of NOLA.

My daughter is a student at Loyola University New Orleans. Classes started before her apartment was available. So we chose Best Western Plus St. Charles Inn for her to stay. It is not only is it a short drive to Loyola, but the hotel is safe and has all the conveniences of home. Not to mention the amazing staff that is extremely helpful and always greets you no matter what time of day or night! Thank you for taking such good care of my baby!

Very clean! Angela was very nice at check-in making sure everything was ok once we got to the room. Breakfast had a good variety. Also, loved the ceiling fan! You don't see that in many hotels. It was a great stay & would definitely return!

I am a local who checked in due to a house emergency. My little dog and I were there for over two weeks and the staff were beyond amazing! The room was small and nothing special, but clean and very livable. I loved having the two sinks. The breakfast every morning was a plus and better than most places. We had gated off-street parking and a small park next door for my dog as well as being close to our own neighborhood. The staff was so kind to my little dog and even kept her while I packed my car. If you are coming to New Orleans with a furry friend this is the place for you!

Beyond pleased with the entire staff at this hotel! Our 5 night stay (7/22 — 7/27) was such a pleasure. The customer service was impeccable! Everyone went out of there way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and clean, the location is perfect for an evening walk, and literally steps away from the street car/trolley pick up and drop off point. After a busy day of site seeing, it was always nice to return to the hotel and enjoy the peace and quiet of the area and the cleanliness and care that the staff put into our room. I would stay here again without a moments hesitation!

I have stayed at this hotel many times and especially during Essence Fest. The beds are comfortable. The room was clean. Everything in the room functioned properly. The water from the shower gets and stays hot (3 people). Housekeeping provided us with the extra amenities we needed. The breakfast was quite a treat. I'd say it was somewhere between Continental and Full breakfast Bar. Parking was always available and well lit. Access to the back entrance to lobby should be more secure. It should require a hotel key to enter.

We loved this hotel. The staff were friendly and rooms were clean. Free parking in New Orleans is a rare find. We loved this about the hotel. The Wi-Fi was a little slow and there are many close dining options. There is a streetcar stop just a few steps away which was very convenient. I am usually not that impressed by Best Western hotels (I prefer more upscale, resorts), but I would definitely stay here again.

This was the worst hotel ever. When we woke up, we were just sitting there before showering and we notice there are blood stains on one of the pillows.

Great hotel at a reasonable price. The front desk staff, in particular the daytime/early evening woman, was super accommodating and helpful. My family was in town to move my sister for grad school at Tulane. We had a huge moving truck and parking it in the lot was no problem. The lot is gated and secure so we felt very safe leaving the truck there. When my sister went to look at her apartment and realized she had been defrauded by the management company the woman at the front… desk was comforting to her and my mom and offered other suggestions for places and areas ok and safe to live in and those to stay away from. Their free breakfast was extensive and delicious. They always had wonderful snacks set out in the afternoon and cold ice water infused with fruit at all times in the lobby. My only three complaints would be the lack of cold water in the shower or coming out of the faucets, the weird sloping divot right infront of the room bathroom that I kept tripping on, and the fact that when a plunger was needed (not by me for the record! ) they left what appeared to be a used one wrapped in a plastic grocery bag outside our door without knocking so it just sort of sat out there which was both embarrassing and gross. Just a heads up though it is not within walking distance of the quarter unless you feel like really going on a nice stroll. It is however about a 5 min cab ride away.

My boyfriend and I stayed for a weekend get away this past weekend. We live only a couple hours away in Mobile, AL. I travel regularly in my career and I have to say I was more than pleased with our visit here. Two different clerks went out of their way to help me find a place to park nearby without running into issues with the meter maids. Also, after having the do not disturb sign on our door, we recieved a call asking if there was anything we needed. I have only ever recieved a note under the door for this. I was quite surprised at these actions taken by the employees. There was a bit of a musty smell in the room, I would say this was the only drawback. We would definitely stay here again. We love the proximity to uptown and Magazine street.

Staying say this hotel now. Got back from a cruise with my parents, including my handicap mother. Wanted to spend an extra night to see the French Quarter. Room is nice, clean comfy beds, but as soon as we got into the room, (on the 3rd floor), the elevator broke down. Since mom is handicapped and can't climb the stairs, we're stuck in the room! Should be fun tomorrow trying to get all our luggage and her down the stairs!

Would not stay there again. They have lost our prepaid reservation (had to wait almost 45 mins until it was resolved — without any "sorry"), room service did not clean bathroom (hairs in shower), and Wi-Fi was poor in the room. If you don't care about these things you get reasonable priced rooms and a good breakfast buffet.

Beautiful hotel inside, convenient location. Basic service. Don't expect anything more than transactional interaction. Hampton Inn right next door is lovely and quite service excellence oriented. I stayed at both places.

Good deal in New Orleans, conveniently located along St Charles Ave.

I used to live in New Orleans — so I knew the location of this hotel — which is great. Right on the streetcar line. But the hotel connects to a restaurant — the building is the same — and my room smelled like kitchen exhaust. The room was dirty — when I arrived the toilet and tub looked like they weren't cleaned after the last guest. The breakfast that was included was ok. Except the second day there was a roach on the breakfast bar. When I went to get fresh fruit the fruit was rotten and full of flies. To top it all off there was a roach in my bed on night. Would never recommend. I'm not sure how people could be giving such high ratings unless it's the owners.

I stayed at the BW St. Charles Inn for 2 nights recently, and I was very satisfied with my experience there. The front desk employees were friendly and helpful. They stored my luggage for several hours after my checkout so that I could take a cemetery tour that ran into the afternoon. My room was clean, spacious and quiet. The a/c was powerful. The maid staff was friendly. The free breakfast was ok, tho nothing to rave about. There was no bathroom exhaust fan, but a large window could be opened to air out the steam. Plenty of hot water. The streetcar runs right outside, which is convenient for those without a car. I'd stay there again.
