This place is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at! Rooms and facilities are great, hostel is very homely and staff are fantastic. Always lots of events on and there is always a good night to be had here. Will definitely be coming back here!

It was such a great place to stay at. Once you get there they give you a map and recommendations on what to do around. They also have activities for everyone who is staying there. 10/10 I would recomend!

This is by far one of the best hostels I have stayed in whilst traveling through the US and Vancouver. Really friendly and helpful staff are there anytime you need them. They have made the Hostel a very sociable place, with lots of activities available and loads of info on where to go and what do to in New Orleans; I found this to be most helpful. The house is gorgeous, the refurbishment of the old style NOLA house is on point. With that, it's really clean and when you lay your body down to sleep, you feel fresh, clean bed linen on the bed. Every point of comfort has been covered by Robert and his crew. I highly recommend this hostel. I will be back!

Absolutely stellar! Very welcoming, and with a comfortable and cool vibe. Not particularly close to the French Quarter, but you absolutely cannot best it for the price! The St Charles streetcar is very close by for easy access to the Quarter, Canal Street, and the Magazine.

I was excited to stay here after so many positive reviews. Upon entering, I was given a map of New Orleans and some ideas of things to do and where they were located which was nice. Everyone staying there was very social and friendly. However, my room was 80 degrees. I noticed when I put my luggage away the “air” conditioning unit in the room read 80. I told the front desk and she attempted to fix it but the room never felt cooler. The bathroom was also insanely muggy and hot. I wouldn’t stay again.

Just had a wonderful stay at the Auberge for the jazz festival. Facilities are great, very clean and a very friendly atmosphere. All the staff were inclusive, sociable and professional. Would highly recommend staying!

Absolutely love this place! My first time ever staying at one of these. Glad my coworker recommended it. The owner Robert is great, very welcoming and makes you feel comfortable. The other guests were welcoming and invited me out as well to join on the outing to Frenchtown during Jazz Fest.

Nice location in a quite hip historical district with walkable distance to streetcar stop which pretty much takes you everywhere within minutes. Delicate decor and clean room. Recommend for Nola visitors who prefer a quiet but convenient neighborhood and wander-around architectural district.

Super nice place, very clean and very well taken care of. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are quite spacious. There are quite a few common areas (including the kitchen which is a decent size with a pretty big table) and they're mostly comfortable and spacious enough. The only thing is it doesn't seems as much a social place as some of the other hostels in New Orleans but I've been there only for two nights so I didn't have as much time with the place. Overall it's a great place located in a very nice area.

This place was everything we had hoped for and more. The vibe was great, community was fun and also respectful, and accommodations were clean and comfortable. Location good too, right next to streetcar and a nice walk to French Quarter and Garden District. The hostel also organizes optional events for the guests nightly. Ours included seeing live music at a couple of venues and a pub crawl (we joined all three nights. ) Had a great time and would highly recommend.

Stayed here twice, once in Jan 2015 and loved it so much that I didn't even look for any other place when I visited NOLA again in December 2017. Staff is helpful, they give you so much guidance and organize activities every day. Bathrooms are super clean and modern.

Excellent Hostel to meet people and stay. Recommended.

English rating: Five Taiwan people come here to stay, bed very good sleep, staff very friendly, clean environment. A small movie theater can play the guitar piano to watch the movie board games (free game), the evening regularly will host a small party, but the shower room water ratio is small, the male toilets do not place personal clothing location more trouble, hotel location is also far from the area, but overall, great!

Beautiful house. Smelled clean immediately upon walking in. Nice bathrooms, lots of extra stuff in case you forgot something. However, the sense of community was kind of… off. Nobody working there seemed happy to be there. I asked if there was any coffee at 10:15 am, and one of the staff members said “breakfast is from 8-10, but you can make your own coffee”. I wasn’t asking anyone to make coffee for me, but thanks for the attitude. We arrived at 2pm instead of 3pm and the hostel was completely empty. However, we were told to come back in an hour to check in because they were still cleaning our room. That’s fine. However, the next morning, checkout was 11am, but at 10am there were 3 members of staff talking loudly about taking my friend’s bedsheets while she was STILL sleeping in the bed and started to vacuum right next to her face. So uncomfortable. There was maybe a half hour of cleaning that had to be done in our room, and sending a message like that really changed my views about this hostel.

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Very clean, free breakfast, decent sized dorms, good courtyard for socialising. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Big ups to Timmy.

Loved my stay at this hostel. One of the best experiences in the US. Welcoming staff, nice facilities, tons of space to chill or interact depending on your mood. Bathroom was big and always clean. They even provide make up remover and bathroom essentials in case you forget something. Will love to come back to this city and definitely stay here again!

Very nice hostel in a good neighborhood. Streetcar is definitely the way to go but still a hike to French Quarter. Bunk bed a little creaky. Welcoming hosts and facilities well maintained. Really enjoyed the theatre room with big screen and awesome surround sound. Plentiful hot water and no issues accessing bathrooms. Overall a great stay!

Had a good time at the hostel. It is in a cool neighborhood and not far from the French Quarter and other sites. Things are a bit laid back, and one. Of the days the one in charge of making breakfast was 20 minutes late, so no pancakes for me. Otherwise no complaints.

Great location, the hostel is close to a streetcar stop that will take you Downtown. The amenities are great: functional kitchen (with free breakfast in the morning), clean bathrooms, a movie room, some computers (if you have to catch up on your emails). There's a terrasse with a hammock in the back. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They have activities every nights. And you meet some pretty cool people. A great price value.

Great hostel. Awesome location only a short street car ride away from den French quarter with lots of bars and restaurants around and a generally safe feel to it. Rooms are nothing fancy but perfectly fine, bathrooms are very clean. Good breakfast with pancake station and daily (nightly) events to socialise with the other guests. All in all a great experience.

Best experience in a Hostel in my life! Staff was super friendly and helpful. Thank you Iina and Carl for the wonderful time at the Auberge Nouvelle. The beds were nice and comfortable, bathrooms were clean all day and night, the staff is the best there is. I was sad to leave from my stay there. Everything was just GREAT! Everything you could ask for in a Hostel and more. Daily activities to keep even the introverts engaged with the group. Hope to stop in next time I'm in the New Orleans area. Wish you all the best. Out of all the hostels I've been so far, Auberge NOLA has been the only one where staff and guests are so close. Events they organize are led by a different member of the staff each time but others join in. You're all basically one big group of friends. You socialize together, party together, eat breakfast together (hungover or not). Even if you're not big on drinking or partying, you're still going to have a great time. Everyone's accepted and respected. Location wise Auberge NOLA is pretty close to most of the famous parts of New Orleans. You can walk to the French Quarter, to Magazine street/Garden District, the WW II museum, etc. But if you're not up for walking, you can always jump on the streetcar which stops down the block. You can take this streetcar towards Canal Street near the French Quarter or the other direction towards Audubon Park/Zoo. Oh yeah and there's tons of delicious food options within a couple of blocks. Or you can head to the Walgreens 2-3 blocks away and buy whatever you want.

I was impressed! The place was clean and VERY WELL KEPT! I felt comfortable there and did not want to leave the place. It was family orientated. And every night there is an event which makes it so mich easier to meet new people as you travel! Breakfast was really nice… they will make pancakes for you! Very friendly workers. I will be heading back there soon. There are plenty to do in the surrounding areas that I must do when I get back there!

Hands down the best Hostel experience I've had. Clean, affordable, with daily activities. Even if you're travelling solo and are not the most outgoing person you'll meet new exciting people with minimal effort.

This hostel is very nice. There's something to do every night. I enjoyed​ all of the events that they hosted. The beds are comfy and the bathrooms are amazing. This is the best hostel experience I've ever had. I'll be coming back for sure.

Great staff in a good location. The hostel had a nice vibe and energy to it that was welcoming for lone travellers and groups alike. With nightly events, it's a great place to start your NOLA adventure.

One of the best hostel where I was, it is super clean, nice and multicultural staff. Very nice evening programs and good place for sight seeing. Free and good breakfast I have my time in new orleans very enjoy thanks guys ☀️☺️

This place is amazing. Great staff and events and great people. It's in the perfect location you can do garden district easily as well as the French Quarter, so the location is perfect. The rates are very reasonable. The rooms were clean as was the bathrooms and kitchen. Really nice vibe would definitely recommend.

THE BEST! Up until this place, my favorite hostel for the pure comfort and asthetics was Hostel Casa Colon in San Jose, Costa Rica, but this place is the best I've ever been in by far. There is a reason why this is voted number one in America… From the super friendly and helpful staff, to the nightly trips around the city, to the immaculate cleanliness of the dorms in the bathrooms, the spaciousness of the dorms and the comfort of the bed, to the array of complimentary breakfast items (not just pancakes! ), and the projection screen entertainment room with any kind of movie or viewing experience you could want… overall, it's the best hostel you could ever ask for. Especially 4 Less Than twenty bucks a night during the week.

Absolutely perfect! Location is awesome, close to everything, free NETFLIX was a surprise and anything I needed was right there. The staff treated me like family and made sure my stay was an awesome adventure! Would definitely recommend this hostel and will come back for sure! Thanks to Robert and all of the new friends I met there. Hope to see you all again!

Amazing staff. Very clean. Fresh towels and the bathrooms were cleaned daily. There were a few lounges scattered around the property to just 'hang out' in. The hostel also organized activities at night and facilitated activities during the day.

This place be poppin', there's a lot of friendly helpful people there to help you out. I could go on and on but you will definitely not be bored here and you'll be taken care of. I also was late to get up and check out and they were totally chill and cool about it. Great experience, won't forget it. I will say, you may have a better time there as a younger person, if you're old or desire more privacy you may want to choose a different hostel.

We had a great stay there. It was clean, the house is pretty typical of New Orleans. The only bad point: it's kind of far from the heart of the city so you need to find a cab or to take the tramway.

This hostel truly has everything you need to make your experience in NOLA a great one. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. (Laura and Marian were my favourite. ) Clean and neat. Situated centrally and really close to the streetcar stop. (Streetcar runs 24hours, perfect way to get around the city. ) If you want to feel like you are staying over at a friends house, this is the hostel you would want. Can't say one bad thing about my time spent here, except that four days was not long enough.

I've probably stayed in over 50 hostels and this was by far one of my favorite. The staff was unbelievably helpful and hospitable, the people that I met staying in the hostel were all amazing, and the atmosphere made you feel right at home in an old and massive New Orleans style house with a great kitchen and living room. The accommodations were everything you could possibly need and very clean. Definitely recommend Auberge Nouvelle and plan to stay again on my next trip down.

Staff is friendly and informative. The rooms are clean. Community rooms include kitchen and TV room. Refrigerator can get cramped. Free breakfast coffee, cereal, and pancakes. Very lade back atmosphere.

Great Hostel! I really enjoyed my stay there. This is the kind of place that is good to sleep, specially after hanging out in the Crazy French Quarter. Clean bedroom and bathrooms; the kitchen is a little small, but is was rarely crowded while I was there. It is located at around 1.3. Miles from the convention center, which is not too bad is you enjoy walking.

Clean, staff very friendly and helpful, convenient location, good breakfast included, towels are provided, lockers in or near the bedrooms, staff give explanations, map and advice when you arrive, and update a things-to-do board everyday. Common rooms and garden. Possibility to use a laptop, to rent a bike for only 10$ a day (when it is more than 30$ everywhere else). Other travelers were really nice and respectful. All the advantages of a hotel and a hostel combined! I couldn't find any drawback.

Fresh, soft towels that were well supplied! Hostel owner lives on the premise, helps keep everything in line. Staff is friendly and chatty. Walls of dorm rooms are a bit thin and could use some sound proofing.
