Worst hotel ever. Checked in on July 5 for a 4 night stay. Our room was filthy and smelly. Was told by front desk we could not check out and receive a refund due to paying with cash. Since we couldn't afford to spend another $800 somewhere else and was forced to stay there, we went and bought $60 worth of cleaning supplies, new towels, blankets and pillows. We checked out early morning July 9th and travelled the 10 hours home. The general manager of this location decided to call me around 6:30pm and tell us if we were still in the area, we could come get a full refund as she had no idea why we couldn't get it when we asked for it. Our case is still pending a resolution. This hotel chain will give you the run around if you have issues with them; the local hotel, their customer care line and their corporate office will not stick to what they say. Horrible business. Stay at your own risk.

New to NOLA we booked this hotel for a short vacation intransit to our hotel in the city. Convenient for moving about and eating places very close by. The mall within walking distance was an enhancement. The shower was amazing. Hot water as you turn on and the shower felt like a massage. Management just need to supply sufficient safety boxes for guest and do not advertise as if there were unlimited amount. Otherwise quiet and cosy.

Stay away from this hotel if you can. The price is cheap for a reason! The place is a run down dump, the pictures provided online don’t represent what it’s like when you show up. Me and my family didn’t even sleep under the sheets, our shower wouldn’t drain, there was numerous cigarette burns around the bathtub, the remote for the TV was held together with tape just to name a few things. I felt like I should have pushed the dresser against the door to stop someone from trying to break in. Thank god we were only there for 1 night. I thought la quintas were a little nicer than this and honestly I’m going light on this review. I will never stay in another la Quinta ever again!

Rooms were a bit dates and bathroom was so small I had to stand on top of the toilet to close the door. Staff was great. If La Quinta remodeled it would be five stars.

The room had a horrible oder, it is extremely noisy, the front desk will do nothing about the 20+ children running around the balcony and taking over the pool. The dog in the room next door is howling due to the noise. When we arrived we tried to find a better room but ended up walking into rooms that were not even cleaned. I will be taking this situation to corporate. There is no reason that the children running around and screaming could not be handled by the staff. They are chilling in the stairway eating and leaving their trash everywhere. Do yourself a favor and stay on the other side of the bay. Only good thing is the Taco Bell a couple miles down the road. I have already contacted the front desk twice about the situation. Try simply do not care.

This hotel needs updating badly. The manager on duty had a nasty attitude woke up the next morning found a roach crawling in the bed I took a picture and told her about it she didn't seem to really care she did change the room then the next room she put me in dirty water was all over the bathroom floor and hair was in the bath tub. I do not recommend staying at this hotel but if someone is looking for a cheap stay then you will get what you pay for. Cheaper is not always good. Lesson learned. Very disappointed.

Great value. Friendly staff. Close to ihop rest. And shopping centre. Happy with staying here.

Very basic hotel stay. Nothing exceptional, nothing terrible. No fridge in the room, weird smell in the room, only one pillow per bed. The location seemed to be really shady. It’s literally located in a mall parking lot under a highway overpass. We were only there for a night so it wasn’t that big of a deal. The manager was really friendly and helpful. Front desk night girl, not so much. About 20 min drive to the French Quarter.

Quite area. Breakfast was simple for those with early train and flight departures. Bed was comfortable and room made it ease to get sleep. ☺

So arrive ladies at front desk were great. Got to our room was clean. At first no table or fridge / microwave but that was fix quick with out any problem. Our service guy did a great job. Would recommend this place. Only thing is that during rush hour in and out of town can take time. Breakfast is good with yogurt, small muffins, waffles juice and coffee runs till 9am but I would say better to get there by 8 for better selection.

Don’t ever come to this hotel. It’s gross and smells like a smokers house. I’m not even lying, I had to go buy some air fresheners to make it smell decent. The free breakfast is gross, but yet again… it’s free. So pick your own battles. The beds are so stiff and people are always coming in and out of the hotel, you can keep hearing people talking outside and can’t sleep at all. Not a good place to stay.

My review of this La Quinta… My husband and I travel the country with our Antique Company. We are Elite guests at various hotel chains. We were traveling from Palm Beach and Naples. Decided to stay at this hotel for the evening. We were given a room that had a very horrible pet stench. When I went to return the key for another room, the front attendent was rude. She actually rolled her eyes at me then finally appologized for the room not being clean. At that point I became irritated with her attitude and bluntly told her that the smell was of " A wet dog " and how nauseating it smelled. I was given another room which did not smell much better than the first. This room had hair on the bathroom floor along with the bathroom floor in desperate need of cleaning. Trust me that we will NEVER be staying at THIS La Quinta again… The ONLY reason that we stayed the entire night there was because not many hotels in that area are truck friendly. This La Quinta needs major repairs but most importantly it needs another cleaning staff. And polite front desk attendants. Point blank… La Quinta is there to accommodate their guest. Therefore, if anyone is considering staying there, I would strongly suggest staying at another hotel. Sadly disappointing and totally disgusted…

Cleaning practices are not up to par as you might think. Came back from work and found our dirty towels on a well made bed made by the cleaning service. Still wet from the morning before, clearly the pile was forgotten. Makes you think how often do they change the sheets after tenants leave. Other than that, the motel served its purpose and the people at the check in counter were friendly.

If I could give zero stars I would. Walked into the room and their was cockroaches in the bath tub. Stains all over the bath tub. The room was dirty & we were completely disgusted. Left right away and went to another hotel. Save your time and money!

We had to book a room last minute due to losing power at home with freezing temperatures outside. The clerk that checked us in was VERY polite and helpful. The room was clean but, there's a blood stain on the curtain, toilet seat is broken and the room reeks of carpet cleaner… which I kind of understand with a pet friendly hotel… but my suggestion is… if you have pet friendly rooms, you should have hard floors… easier to keep clean. The area was real quiet, so once I was able to fall asleep, I stayed asleep.

The worst place to stay. We got no sleep the stench of dog odor was pass your imagination, uncalled for when you own no pets you do not want to be subject to that smell. The drapes were full of nats I sprayed for those and the odor but it didn't help. My Husband own a pest control business and see this all the time, we don't pay for Motel rooms to deal with this. These issues need to be addressed, give me a room were NO PETS are ALLOWED. Don't just put me in a room with that smell. If your not going to clean these carpet rooms please stop with the pets. I got this room at the last minute reservation, 10% off AARP. This is my 2nd time with La Quinta having this issue with the room not being well kept due to being "Pet Friendly" NEVER AGAIN. Oh and the Room's Phone was OUT OF ORDER! Thank God I Have A Cell Phone. Don't stay go get a good night sleep where it's clean just pay extra or pay attention to messg. 's like this one.

Clean, service is just OK, eat breakfast at the I-hop in the parking lot. Reasonable for a quick overnight business trip. Prices are reasonable and rooms are clean and nice.

Honestly our experience here was awesome, loved the free breakfast and the friendly staff. Reasonably priced and not too far from the French Quarter 10/10 would stay again.

It was convenient and clean. All issues were easily resolved. Everyone was helpful and helped made a great trip!

We made a reservation weeks ago only to begin our vacation HOMELESS in New Orleans. Now let me say this, we traveled nine hours with a 5 month old Labador puppy in her kenal. She behaved one hundred percent better then La Quinta's staff. Of course, making stops along the way for puppy breaks. This was her first road trip! When we arrived with a confirmation number the staff (Krystal and Aisha) stated we don't have any rooms available. Sorry, there's nothing we can do is what we were told! We stated we made a reservation and have a confirmation number (Krystal) said that means nothing. We have no rooms available! (this is like a skit on SNL minus the cameras). My husband stated call the 1-800's! I did and Benny the supervisor said they had no rooms available within a 40 mile radius of this location. I asked him what do you suggest we do? We have driven 9 hours with a puppy and selected a pet friendly hotel for that reason. He out right said ma'am there's nothing I can do. Benny said we can call customer service on Monday. Remember this was Friday night! We found another hotel just to get some rest but it wasn't a pet friendly hotel. My husband and I had took turns sleeping in the truck with our puppy to end our trip early. We have stayed in La Quinta hotels many times over the years THIS was by far the worst experience ever. I've never received this lowest level of customer service and lack of concern… to add insult to injury!

This is the worst la Quinta I've even been to. I love la quinta. Price is fair n close to bourbon street by car and staff was kind. Comforter had black smudges on it. Tub didn't drain after shower. Bathroom floor had hair. Pillow had hair. Not what I expected from la quinta.

This place is absolutely unbelievable. The sheets were dirty when we got here, and in the three days we stayed we could not get clean towels, they would not come change our linens, and the front desk was absolutely not helpful. Thumbs down. Also, they are infested with bed bugs.

I have stayed at this LaQuinta hotel location on numerous accounts. I made reservations via phone checked into my room to only walk into a room that smelled like a sweaty old gym room. I immediately went back to the front desk to let the staff know and to also request a change of rooms, the manager Alley told me that they were understaffed today and did not have enough maids to clean the rooms she had dirty and that there weren't any rooms available at all and even showed me the list of dirty rooms to clean so I go back to my room let my friend know what's going on and she calls the front desk, they tell her that they will change the room so I walk back to the office for the Manager Alley to tell me "no I'm not gonna switch your rooms I'm gonna check you out because I don't want that type of behavior on my property. " I say the lady on the phone just said that she gone switch the rooms she said no I'm not I'll check you out so I ask ma'am what kind of behavior she said I don't have to say so I asked are you meaning me telling you that the room stink she says whatever you say ma'am and made me check out! She does not have the rights to treat the guest of this hotel this way because she is mad her staff is short. They only have 2 stars now I finally see why.

This hotel is nice. The cleaning ladies comes at all the hours asking many times if you need anything or need the room cleaned. The water in the pool is dirty Last night I went to my car to grab something and an afro American man knocked on the window. I refused to open while he was trying to open my car. He told me an absurd story. I called the desk and they called the security guy. The men ran away but rhe security guy was fast in coming. Rooms are BIG with fridge, microwave, coffee ☕️ machine No elevator.

I have stayed at some bad hotels but this one is bad. Opening the door to the room the foul smell hit me first. I doubt the carpet has ever been cleaned. The air conditioner barely works. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The location is ok, it is across the river from New Orleans but just minutes away. There is an IHOP and Shell gas station in the same parking lot. There is a huge mall but it looks abandoned. Cleanliness is the issue here.

Worst experience ever, I advised not to stay here unless you like staying in a place with bugs (roaches). When I asked the manager to come to my room once the live bug was found, she called maintenance, the maintenance guy came and he brung a can of bug spray. That just let me know that this not a new issue to them and that they know they have bugs. The manager was very nonchalant with the issue and acted like it was normal. The bedding had multiple spots on the sheets and comforters, the room had an odor, the phone in the room did not work. Once again when I let the manager Alley know of these issues she acted as if she didn't care. Never will I lay my head there again!

Had ADA accessible King oom… the room had poor AC … 3 guests… place for 3rd person as the rooms too small for extra cot… slept 1/2 the night in a recliner type chair that Closed when I fell asleep… waited over an hour for linens for the chair… finally gave up and slept on the floor. Also this La Quinta has no business center so you need to print your tickets at home…

Quoted price higher than on onter et by a LOT. Cold shower ticked me off. Smelly room. Electrical light hanging out of cloudy pool. Mai tenance blew off concern. 3 towels for 4 people. However the desk staff were nice enough.

If I could give this a zero star, I would. We are traveling on PCS orders and needed a dog-friendly place in between our two destinations. The first pet-friendly room we were assigned stank so bad that I couldn't even breathe. My husband got us assigned to a different room. The second room was way better than the first, however, is still pretty terrible when you get in the room. Ugh. I used to be a housekeeper, so I know what to look for as far as cleanliness goes. The room had quite a few hairs allall around it and wasn't clean overall. There was a drop of blood on my bedspread so I had to call down and get a new one delivered. They ended up apologizing and taking $50 off our total stay. The breakfast buffet is terrible and the coffee tastes like brown water. Thank goodness for the IHOP in the same parking lot. The people working all seem very sweet and nice, but they should pay attention to the details and clean/maintain the hotel properly. I will never stay here again. Save your money and skip staying here!

Professional friendly staff. Location has easy access to bridge into New Orleans. Free breakfast was good. Also has IHOP next door as well as mall next door.

The Bad: Our room smelled like pee the entire time after using a half bottle of Febreze. A giant cockroach crawled across the wall. The cleaning staff never cleaned the coffee maker after using it the first morning. Coffee grounds were left over from previous guest. Bathroom counter was never wiped down. The Good: Hotel staff was kind and helpful. Air conditioner was CCCCOOOOLLLLDDD! Linens were clean. Bed was nice. Water was hot. Parking was ample.

Came from Michigan with 14 girls scouts. Rates were great, rooms clean, pool was nice. Don't be fooled by the negative reviews. Didn't have any problems. We felt safe. Our friend is a police captian and she recommended this part of town, close to everything, yet far enough from danger. L.

Terrible hotel… We drive from Texas to New Orleans first time and we were ready to change but the time we got there I went to the desk and they told us check in time was 3:00 I was confused because I called ahead and they told me 11:00… Course like most in that smelly city they were rude and didn't care. People who didn't actually have a room in the hotel were partying there all night… Shower was either extremely hot or cold, sticky floor, dirty towels…

I will give 0 star. Noise level is high. Dirty room and bathroom. In shower you get either hot or cold water. Really!

My best friend and I stayed here, and being young it was our first time getting a hotel by ourselvesThe ladies at the front desk were really sweet, friendly, and helpful. The room was really nice for such a low price. It was clean, the beds were comfy, and I loved the free Wi-Fi and lots of channels. At the other hotel I stayed at that weekend the walls were paper thin and I could hear everything, but not here. It was a nice and quiet weekend night. The free breakfast in the morning was delicious, and if not for that we'd have walked to the IHOP right next door. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed here for 2 nights. It was nice, the room was clean (King Standard), although not very spacious. The service was satisfactory, they provided a crib when needed, however they overcharged me at $32 at checkout but quickly corrected it when it was brought to their attention. The location was excellent, it was right near an IHOP, gas station, local Walmart, and near the Crescent City Connection Bridge. Overall, I would definitely stay here again and recommend it if you are visiting New Orleans or the Westbank.

This is my second time to stay at this hotel. Day manager Ralph and staff very helpful for our stay. Our room was very comfortable and clean. It is ideal to stay here if taking Cruise, 17.00 cab ride to terminal. Will stay here if I come back to New Orleans. Your Canadian friends. Art and Ruby.

Had an issue with payments. They took care of this super fast with no issues. Ralph was a great help! I will stay with them again for sure! Clean rooms. And good breakfast.

The staff is friendly and helps you in the things you need good breakfast. But the rooms have an unpleasant odor even when well cleaned and the furniture is very old. I think they should improve it because the rooms are not cheap to say and less on holidays.

WE stay at this La Quinta several years ago was really nice. Has really gone down hill since then. The staff was nice, but the room were not very clean there was food on the floor and what appeared to be dried puke on the floor and the box spring, and did not look like the edger on vacuum was used to go around the wall in years, dirt at least an 1-1/2" out. There were 2 beds in our room one had a big sink hole in the middle and the pillows were terrible; lumpy and hard! The light between the beds appeared to have a short in it! There was a long black hair in the shower and the toilet had to be the size for elementary schools, every time I went to sit I had to hold on to something to help get down that low. Hope they do some upgrade before we come again, it is a GREAT location.

I would have given it no stars but it wouldn't let me. Came out of my room to go to work and found my tool box on my truck was open and tools were gone. The security guy luckily had my tools in the lobby. Staff acted like it was my fault that my truck was broken into. When I walked to my room last night there were 25 kids (teenagees) running from the pool to there cars drinking and making all kinds of noise. None of them were guest at the motel, come to find out, the pool is the local recreation center for the projects across the street. Even after paying for the use of the pool along with my room, I couldn't use it because of all the people who didn't and weren't guest. I've stayed in way worse places throughout the states and have stayed all over new orleans and never had this happen. I won't be staying here again.

The first room look like the cops raided it, the second room smell like mildew. Looking for another hotel.

Sorry about the 2 stars. I am not hard to please and your staff did do a good job. The dehumidifier helped us sleep through the 7 nights stay. We tipped our maid every day but she still didn't run sweeper. And, no we didn't complain. Cost for the week was at $700. So, we got what we paid for? Your breakfast area is too small for the size hotel. But, we THANK YOU for the dehumidifier.

We were on our way home from Florida to Austin with 3 other families and we needed a place to stay in New Orleans on a Saturday night with short notice. Although we wanted to stay in either Downtown or the French Quarter, all hotels were completely booked in those areas. The Gretna location had rooms available and was an easy 5 minute drive to the French Quarter. The best part of the hotel stay. During our rush to get on the road Sunday morning, my wife forgot a VERY important bag that included expensive jewelry and other sentimental items from our vacation. Once we realized we had forgot the bag on Monday, I called the hotel and spoke with Christina (office manager). She said they had the bag and that if I called UPS to set up a pick up from them, she would make sure it would be shipped in it's entirety. I just received the bag and ALL jewelry and other items are present. In this day and time, it's hard to believe nothing was taken. I applaud Christina and her staff for the honesty and service they exemplified through this mistake of ours. I have one happy wife! thank you.

Motel is clean, comfortable, and friendly as described numerous times. What nobody has mentioned is its location: only 1-2 miles from the CBD and French Quarter. You can fight traffic to drive across the bridge, or just take a bus or cab and leave the driving to someone else. Bus fare is $2, cab fare is $12 when traffic isn't backed up (taxi meter has a time component as well as a mileage component). Bus stop is on the opposite side of IHOP that shares the parking lot, bus every half hour. Cabs wait out front of the motel. I deducted one star because provided breakfast is way too small for the number of guests, but you'll be eating so much later in the day on the other side of the river that doesn't really matter — — just grab a couple of muffins and a cup of coffee as you head out the door. Quick stop on the corner also sells fried chicken, beans, rice, etc cooked on site.

The first key dthey gave us didn't work. The second room was not cleaned. So we were running around hotel between those rooms and to reception. daily cleaning is not so clean. Eggs for breakfast horribly stinky. The lady responsible for breakfast serving is not in a hurry. She makes not happy face when asked to bring more silverware. Everything was finished but she was too full of herself to notice that. we found 2 cocoroches in our room.

Internet is bad no washers and rooms need an upgrade.

Great Staff, will do anything they can to help you out. I had just had back surgery and they did everything they could to help me out. I would be more then happy to stay with them again.

After cleaning the crusty stuff off the desk chair, found it to be broken as it only stays in lowest position. Rest of the room is clean. The sheer drapes are missing. So no privacy unless you use the black-out drapes. I'd expect this from a $50/night place, but at $89. I think going to a Hilton for $99 to be a better value and get a 4 star place. So overall, I'd consider it a 3 star place but the issues I found and price/value make me give 2 star rating. The Wifi is free but unstable. Taking several tries to send this with full connection.

Stayed here last ye as r for spring bresk. My three grandgirls enjoyed the stay, especially the morning breakfast snd the pool. Our room wss well located across from the pool. Service from employes was great. Planning another trip soon. Will stay there again.

We booked online and was told we could check in at 1:00pm. We had to wait cuz our room wasn't ready. When it was ready at 3:30, it was the wrong room. So we had to wait til 4:00 til our reserved room was ready. Check in is at 3:00. Then we left to go shopping, brought those clothes back and left again. When we got back to the room our room was trashed and my clothes were gone. The staff said they couldn't help us with this. Avoid this one at all costs. Our room ended up costing us $300.00. Not worth $60.00.
