This is a surprisingly nice hotel. I came here because I was working in Lamar Mo. And needed to stay overnight. It is located conveniently right off the highway. It has free Wi-Fi, refrigerator, microwave, LCD tv, cable, and free breakfast. This hotel is in a small town and is a little outdated, but they upgraded some of the room features and it is extremely clean. I have no complaints with this hotel. If you are driving through and need a place to sleep definitely come to this Super 8

The people running the desk were so great but they need new pillows and design.

After traveling from Texas, decided to shut it down for the evening. As my husband and I were coming into Lamar, MO. Noticed a Super 8 motel just off the beat of the path… This Super 8 motel was unjustly rated as a 2 star, in my opinion should be rated as a 5star. Who ever rated this particular motel judged it from the cover of a book and not what;s inside… Clean, comfortable beds, plenty of towels, etc… The rooms has just a touch of nostalgia of the 60's design… Janette, the MG is a gracious host with a magnetic personality of fine qualities… Talk about complimentary breakfast, best ever… not your usual cold breakfast with cereals and sweet rolls… Janette goes all out servicing an assortment of hot and cold dishes… Impressive to say the least… Would recommend staying to anyone… Definitely a plus in my book…

We typically don't write reviews but this is exception. The experience was wonderful. The room was large, clean, we had plenty of towels, shower was great with plenty of hot water. The staff was friendly, ice tea and water available 24 hours, in addition to a hot breakfast, popcorn and brownies in the evenings. The next time we're in the area we will definitely stay again.

Room were clean, accessible, breakfast was very good. Staff friendly & helpful. There was a good amount of parking available.

By far the best Super 8 I have ever stayed at… Everyone was so friendly and helpful… We had just totalled our Jeep and they made sure we were well taken care of… The breakfast was good and then in the evenings they had popcorn and brownies out… I would recommend it to anyone that's staying in the area and even more to the people that are just passing through :)

Comfy, kind and a pretty killer deal. You can always opt out of the room safe insurance if you don't need it.

Who would think a super 8 had a workout room of a spin cycle bike, a treadmill and an elliptical too! They have popcorn and pitchers of cold water and brownies out for evening snacks! Room looks great too!

Broke down half a mile down the highway and managed to find a shop to fix my car the next day. They allowed me to stay past the checkout time no extra charge until it was done.

It was a great stay. We checked in with ease. Got to our room it was clean well arranged. With access to the outside or inside of the hotel. Had a couch and pull out bed a king sized bed that was extremely comfy. It is on the soft side. With 2 in tables and a sitting area. A little kitchenette with fridge and microwave and am iron and board. In the bathroom there is a huge countertop and mirror and a hair dryer. We had a Jacuzzi tub and shower. Didn't use the Jacuzzi but I will note that the shower didn't have allot of pressure. But it worked just the same plenty of hot water. And it was a fairly reasonable on the price. Next time I'm in town I will stay here again. Checkout was painless and fast.

Nice clean rooms and helpful staff. When I travel to and from Texas, I stay here for the best value in the area. They also have a great full breakfast available in a nice large dining room. Very convenient location, right off the highway. Walmart just across the highway.

Very clean, confortable rooms. Breakfast is great, with waffles, biscuits & gravy, cold cereals and bagels always available. The little touches like, popcorn & brownies every evening is rather nice. Would highly recommend.

Most welcoming Super 8 staff, clean, spacious and comfortable room, complimentary popcorn and brownies at check-in biscuits gravy waffles hb eggs fruit breakfast. Best super 8 stay ever in a clean, safe and friendly environment.

Clean! Friendly and helpful staff! Decent breakfast options including hard boiled eggs, apples, oatmeal and coffee. Only 4 stars because bathroom is not updated and shower head points at my neck (I'm 6 feet tall). I'm here for business and will be staying here again.

Awesome motel very friendly staff room was clean and well-kept there is a microwave and mini fridge and a coffee maker.

Service was very good. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast of sausage gravy and biscuits was pretty good as well.

Super Hotel! We stayed here and found our visit very pleasant! The staff are very friendly and the hotel was fantastic. We took a dip in the pool, and slept comfortably!

Very nice and very clean. Best Super 8 I've stayed at. I have been to many of them in the Midwest and the Lamar Super 8 is the very best. Great owners and a super staff.

Our room was good for a super 8 fairly clean even though it was a room for people with pets. Easy to get to and had a big parking lot in back for semi trucks. The only complaint was the breakfast was kind of limited to carbs.

Have come here many times. They have clean rooms, good breakfast, and they allow dogs to accompany your stay (of course there is a fee, but very reasonable). I only rate a 4 because I have only stayed in winter. Summer service is unknown.

Location is convenient being right off a major road. The room was clean but the carpet almost felt damp to the touch. Everything else went fine.

I stayed at Super 8 in Lamar in June 2015, I had a nice time Very nice people even with dealing with us old people. Now I met my family their for a Memorial for our Uncle. So I can tell you that the Room was clean and I knew I would be able to staying there for my stay and enjoy my family. Now I am writing this because I work at a Lake Front Resort in Branson and we get people in there that is really trying to find something wrong… But I feel like why should I inspect a room that I am their to see my family. But these guys had a breakfast that was so good… and the Popcorn and brownies at night… you don't think we would miss those. I know have seen that you have mostly good reviews so mine wasn't needed but somtimes the people forget to write look it has taken me a month. Thanks for the great stay lots of Memories in Lamar… I am a Home Town Girl.

Best place to stay. Great price, clean comfy rooms, decent breakfast with sausage, biscuits, fruit, boiled eggs. Waffles toast, cereal ect. Very friendly and eager to please the folks really care about your stay. I travel all over the country and I guarantee this is one of the best, especially in this price range.

This was the best motel experience that I've ever had. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The motel and room was clean and comfortable but the awesome staff is why I recommend this place. I will definitely use this place again.

This place is GREAT! Comfortable rooms, enough room I got my oversized load into the parking area with no problems. Patty at the front desk told me the place is actually owned and operated by a genuine American family with roots here, this will be where I stay from now on when passing thru!

If you are driving and need a place to get a few hours of sleep, this place works. The good: Breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. The room seemed clean. The not so good: There is no insulation to speak of and there were many strange clunking noises in the morning (presumably from our upstairs neighbors? ) that were remarkably loud. Perhaps it was noticeable because the fan didn't run on "constant on" despite setting it to do so. The beds were fine, and the bedding rough.
